The clening was deficient, the towels were not replaced during the four days journey, and we gave to ask for shampoo, soap and the after shower towel.

I know this hotel since more than 30 yearsl where I used to stay frequently. Excellent location, nice area, clean and friendly staff. The night I left there was a wedding and the noise continued until 5AM in the morning, which practically ruined my night.

Our Room 138 looks very dark and the bathroom needs a little update. I requested higher floor before our arrival but they ignored us 😒

Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Each section has a theme, which the kids really loved.

Great location and very nice hotel

Staff was not helpfull with the parking. Made me use an interphone under the sun and wanted to receive payment before she opens the door to the parking. I requested a spot but she couldn't see it. Same thing happened the second night. The guy at the reception desk didn't have any proof that we pay 70€ for 2 nights parking and didn't want to let me in.

Room maintainance from the stuff was excellent, with quality air conditioning to accommodate for the hot weather. Comfortable beds and the bathroom exceeds expectations. Thank you for a lovely stay!

I love it

I really loved my time in Madrid! With that being said, I thought all the people in Madrid were all so friendly and nice, except for the men who were at the reception at this hotel. They were not warm or friendly and they even tried to charge me for three drinks from the mini bar on a specific date of my stay when I didn't take anything from the mini bar or even had any maid services so there was no way that they could have seen that I had taken anything from the mini bar. In the end, they said they'd believe me and not charge me but I thought it was quite strange that they had record of it on a day that there wasn't even any maid service. Also, the rooms are not as nice as photographed and quite small. The terrace for each room is actually quite nice.

Loved the convenience of the location. Many taxis sit right outside the hotel so it was easy to come and go if needed. The food/breakfast is fantastic.

It was worst experience for me to be honest! When I arrived to the hotel to check in, the receptionist didn’t even look at me or called her colleague to assist us ! She was on the phone for more than 5 minutes and I was just standing there waiting anyone to talk to us at least! I’ve been travelling all over the world and have been stayed in hundreds of hotels but this first impression was the worst for me ! Then i when got into the room i was lacking in any kind of convenience to me as a resident! i couldn’t sleep well because if the noise of the vacuum cleaner! So over all I wouldn’t ever recommend it to anybody! And absolutely i would never visit this hotel again !

Everything was great. Except not been able to use the terrace as this was closed during the week and open during the weekend but not available due to a wedding.

We had a delightful 2-night stay at Hotel Mayorazgo, which began with a warm welcome and an unexpected room upgrade—a pleasant surprise that enhanced our overall experience. The buffet dinner was enjoyable, featuring a nice but limited selection of dishes. It's important to note that drinks were not included with the meal. Overall, our stay was quite satisfying.

Location was great, on the road behind gran via so walking distance to all the main shops and just a few min walk to the nearest trimaran station. Hotel was very clean and rooms were a good size. Bathroom good size and very clean. Only downside was the room was SO hot and if we opened the window then there was a loud consistent banging coming from somewhere in the hotel.

It was a great stay. Great Madrid feeling. The restaurant was excellent and the service attention was really great. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Great property. Only one issue, I was given a room on 6th floor with no AC. They moved us to the 3rd floor

Overall very pleased with the very friendly staff, nice room. A bit cramped, but nice.

The value for the money is great. The location, in a side hidden corner off the Gran Via, very close to Plaza Espania is perfect. Walking distance to a majority of the Madrid attractions, close to the Metro, and to the shopping centers. We recommend it with all our heart.

Beautiful hotel! Spacious lobby and they had a live pianist that was excellent. Nice spacious room with big bathroom, spotless. Very well located. Excellent breakfast (ni it included but it was worth the 16 euros). Has a bar. It was a perfect end to our stay in Spain.

Everything about this hotel was top-notch... the only situation that made things difficult was that there was only 3 sides to the shower, and the water squirted out the open door .Twice, we flooded the bathroom floor. Also, although there was a wonderful shower head rainfall overhead, it was difficult to figure out how to activate that setting.

terrible room. could not sleep ...all the noise from the bar outside that was next to the window and the hotel restaurante that was next to the door was unbearable. Worst place ever. I would not recomend this hotel to anyone

If you want to see the El Rey leon, este es el hotel perfecto. Súper céntrico de todo y del teatro. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Easy and fast check in and check out. I was not able to eat dinner at the hotel but they have great options. I had my breakfast included with the room, the breakfast buffet is great and delicious. Service is fast and they check your table often to retrieve the empty plates. I will stay again in this hotel on my next trip. Love it.

The A/C in winter is off and is hot the rooms. Open the windows is the alternative. The week i was the eeather was in 50's fahrenheit degrees.

Hotel Mayorazgo is a very good property, walking distance to Gran Via. The service is superb.

Hotel was in a great location. It’s nice and clean BUT the air is central and cannot be adjusted in individual rooms. Our room was so hot, we did not sleep well at all. We opened the window BUT it was very loud! Thankfully we were only there one night but would not stay there again.

Location was great. Air conditioning did not work. There’s no iron in the room, they will charge you to iron your clothes. Staff was very nice but did not speak much English, which made communication difficult.

I got a renewal room. STAFF IS EXCELLENT. PROPERTY CLOSE FROM EVERYTHING.

I had a few annoying problems. 1. TELEPHONE: The telephone in the room did not work. To call reception I had to use my mobile and pay for an international call. I reported the problem but they did not fix it. 2. BATH: The bath had no plug so you could not keep the water in the bath to have a bath. Also, the overflowing stopper did not work. I left the water running and the bath overflowed and flooded the bathroom. A disaster. 3. CHAIR: There is no chair in the room, only a stool. I borrowed a chair from the landing. 4. DESK: There was no proper desk in the room, only a table with 35 cm depth. For a laptop, you need at least a 60 cm depth. It was very uncomfortable to use my laptop there. 5. RED WALL: When I open the window, I could see bright red walls. Shocking and unpleasant sight. 6. SAFE: the safe is not free. I did not use it. 7. LATE CHECK OUT: They charge you EUR 30 if you want to check at 4 pm. I was going to say till 4 pm but with all these problems I left at 1 pm and went to the airport where I stayed at the VIP Lounge for only EUR 35 which included drinks, plenty of food, internet, TV, comfortable desks, mobile recharging points and friendly staff. I wait 4 hours for my flight and I was so glad to have found this VIP lounge, good value for money. For the Mayorazgo hotel, unfortunately, I cannot recommend it.

Our family visit to Madrid

I have rated ´condition´ less because there was renovation work going on so reception was a bit chaotic, although not unbearable. I understand this work has to be done at some time.

Charging for thr use of the safe box while most of others hotels provides this service for free is not a smart move. Out of four nights they skipped housekeeping one day. The huge pink wall reflected inside your room will make you crazy after a while. I wich I’ve stayed somewhere else.

In town in a fun neighborhood. Lots of atmosphere.

No help from Expedia or hotel. It cost me an extra night expense. I request refund

We enjoyed being in El Centro area of Madrid. Everything is within walking distance. That staff is incredibly kind and helpful. Two thumbs up to Laura who treated us great. For US travelers-fair warning. You will have twin beds! The rooms our group had were themed-we had the the circus, there was a jungle and a carousel. Don’t really understand the idea, except perhaps for amusement. Overall, yes I would stay again.

very disappointed regarding my room , was a single room , very small bed the room is on the ground floor , near by the offices , toilets and luggage rooms ,and the bar very noisy all the night in the middle of the night you can hear clients going to the toilets, open and close the luggage rooms staff cleaning with the vacuum , laughing , speak loud , in 1 word horrible

My daughter emailed the night desk asking if they could print documents for me that I needed for the rest of my trip through the reservation email. The night desk responded quickly and advised they would print whatever is needed. They insured I had a wake-up call that I didn't know I needed and provided all the printed documents for me. My stay there was exceptionally great.
