The Martinez is a lovely hotel of the highest quality. When I arrived at my room, there was not a bathtub. They immediately upgraded me to a junior suite for a very small charge. The colors of the rooms are tranquil and restful.
We were returning guests after 30 years. The hotel has been refreshed recently and was beautiful. Super friendly staff. Great location in Cannes.
Great amenities
A wonderful property in a prime location in Cannes. Staff were fantastic and the room was beautiful. We will be back.
Great location and excellent staff
İt was amazing hotel. Best location
Amazing beach club and restaurant
Beautiful property with amazing views of the ocean. Love the clean bright rooms. Look better in person than the pictures. Hard to have many negatives about this place but the check in area of the lobby could use a refresh, it feels dark compared to the rest of the hotel. Also, they need to get the bees under control in the garden area. Nice to eat and drink out there but the bees ruined one evening. Other than that, which both are minor, the location and property are a 10 and we will only stay there when we go to Cannes.
would never stay here again. This hotel gave me a lower level room of what I booked that was in the worst place possible of the hotel and proceeded to gaslight me when I told them that this is not what i booked. Finally they agreed to move me for the rest of the stay and even having to move was an ordeal where the room was not ready once again. Housekeeping then did not replace my mugs and essentials... The place is not run well, they didnt make any concessions for their error. You need to also pay to use the beach area. Just not worth it when youre paying 1k a night. Do not reccomend.
Breakfast was the best! My only disappointment was the size of the closet and bathroom for a five star hotel.
Beautiful prooerty. We will stay here again.
dining at indoor facility could be better. Dining at beach club much better choice Very friendly staff
We had a fabulous and romantic stay at this beautiful hotel. Everyone was so warm and friendly and the service was fantastic.
Beautiful beach area and close to many restaurants.
Great beach connected with hotel
The staff were extremely polite, genuine, available, and interested in being of service! Just amazingly lovely!! : )
The hotel was great, very wakable area, the service impecable! Love my stay i really reccomend it. great rooms and the breaksfast buffet amazing
Hotel was fabulous. Everything immaculate. Service excellent. Highly recommend.
Lovely experience
Large clean rooms, comfortable bed, nice amenities. Breakfast is delicious, especially the freshly made madeleines. When breakfast is busy the service is a bit slow but all the staff are very pleasant. Parking is expensive at €60 per day
Nice staff good service and a great location.
Amazing
Great hotel in Cannes. Beautiful well appointed rooms
The hotel was super, the staff was anazing
Luxury in Cannes
A lovely hotel with all the amenities. Well located. The breakfast was lovely.
Hotel excellent staff excellent will be back only downside was tge pool was closed over our weekend otherwise great Many gluten free options just ask.
Usual high standard & luxury hotal
We have stayed at the Martinez several times before and, once again, it did not disappoint even though some of the public areas were under-going renovations. Our room was bright, airy and very comfortable, with a side balcony from which we could see the sea. The staff were, as usual, super friendly and most helpful. The beach terrace and restaurant is comfortable and has a wonderful view across the bay. We look forward to staying again soon.
all good just have one comment to change the all towel and bedsheet because saw bad quality
The only place to stay in town
On a world tour and this place was in our top 3 out of 40 hotels. Prestige suite was amazing . Yes, just yes!!! Great people watching breakfast place right next door as well
This was one of my favorite hotels. I enjoyed the breakfast and evening tea in the restaurant, which was very comfortable and not pretentious. The rooms were light and airy. The only issue is the rug looks a bit dirty. Loved that it was across the street from the beach.
.
Only issue was that for 2/3 nights, there was banging noises through the night so I couldn’t sleep.. other than that, I loved my stay. Thank you
Wonderful rooms, excellent breakfast, very good service. The hotel is the furthest one down from the main centre but beautiful rooms and excellent service. Breakfast was amazing.
Visiting Cannes
From the check-in to the check -out everything was perfect. beautiful and very well kept property. The staff very attentive and polite. Great breakfast.
.
The rooms were beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The whole hotel was spectacular. It was a really good location to shopping and restaurants.
Beautiful hotel. Best to valet park the car and leave it. About 1 mile easy walking to Le Suquet…must visit for night out. Quai Lebouf is where the ferries leave. We did an all day catamaran trip snorkeling, swimming, etc. Uber works great and will pick you up within 4-5 minutes and get you most places for $11-15. Beach and pool has a great setup. Closest convenience, store open till 10 for snack, soft drinks toiletries, and forgotten things is two blocks away at Vival 18 Rue Ruoze Worth a visit in the car is the street Rue Saint -Saveur in the town Le Cannet, hilly, picturesque ..great restaurants up on the hill looking down on the bay. We stopped by on the way out of town on the road to A8… good parking at 31 Rue des Orangers… first hour is free… We weren’t able to get the stupid machine to work, but it didn’t matter nobody ticketed us
the martinez is an excellent hotel with excellent concierges facilities, and food. the cleaning help are very attentive. my only comment would be that the hotel should not charge for a chaise on the beach or near its swimming pool ($70 per person per day) when one is paying over 1500 euros per night for a room.
I did not like that my room had a dirty carpet with a lot of stains, the bathroom was tiny and had no room for me to put out my stuff and they gave me a room that was very far from the elevator. The breakfast was very limited
The best hotel in the world
The best hotel in the world. Great service.
Amazing
Amazing stay and beautiful hotel. Attention to details was excellent
This is probably one of the best hotels in which I have ever stayed. Highest of quality in terms of staff, accommodations, amenities, and location.
The service at this hotel is horrible. I cannot believe this is rated 5 star. From the front desk to concierge to valet to engineering it was continuous bad experiences and interactions. Do not waste your money here.
Fantastic
Great service. Beautiful hotel.
Excellent services. Staffs are excellents. Super nice. Loic, Marine, Rashel, Bastien , Anna, Sandrine, Navila and all the valets and concierge. Everyone was super nice. 😍😍😍 see you soon.
.
Amazing hotel in an exceptional location with superb staff.
Nice view and location
I paid for three rooms with breakfast but the expensive room did not include the breakfast i paid for and i had to pay about 48 Euro each morning (times 3)
Absolutely loved Hotel Martinez and will most definitely be back again. The staff and concierge were just amazing! Super friendly and helpful. The room was spotless, housekeeping staff were extremely professional, kind and courteous. I have absolutely nothing bad to say. My experience couldn't be more magical! Merci to everyone at Hotel Martinez!
Perfect place The best in Canne Wire amazing staff
I found that the staff at the front door was not friendly at all mainly the doormen and certain valet.
Lovely hotel, pool, beach club, food variety & location
Nice hotel in hart’s of Canne
I spent 2 nights with my partner and it was delightful especially the beach with music and fireworks. The rooms are gorgeous and the hotel ArtDeco architecture outstanding!
The hotel in general is good, although the room rates are high, and this does not include your entry to the beach
Beautiful property and staff excellent. Check out process timely and not enough staff to accommodate volume and had to ask for manager to get help so we could check out and not miss out flight. The staff i asked for help with this was very responsive. I did also get mischarged for food on tje beach that we did not order some $111.00 that I still need to straighten out with them. So leave enough time for check out and really check charges before you leave.
The best property and Staff! Can’t wait to come back. 😉
Overall good stay, but what a ripoff
Be warned: hotel staff is incredibly disorganized and the hotel is ripping off its guests. First, when we checked in, we were told we owe the total amount for the room. However, we had already prepaid the room in full. When I mentioned that we had paid for the room, the receptionist said that we had not paid. Once I pulled up the documentation that I had paid, the receptionist agreed with me. Second, we didn’t know we need to pay to access the beach chairs for the hotel. The beach chairs need to be reserved in the hotel and you check in to use them on the beach. The person inside the hotel gave different rates than the booth outside the hotel, so even though we reserved one set of chairs thinking it was a certain price, the people outside at the booth gave a different price. Lastly, we were overcharged by hundreds of Euros at checkout. The receptionist gave us our invoice with charges for things we didn’t use. We valeted our car the first night only and they charged us every night. We didn’t touch the mini bar and they charged us for 4 drinks. Then, we had the free breakfast package and at checkin we were told that it includes the buffet and room service. One morning, we ordered breakfast from room service, and at checkout we saw we were charged the full amount for this breakfast. The receptionist told us only continental breakfast is included in the free breakfast package, but no one told us this. Overall, hotel management and staff need to do better.
I have been to The Martinez on many occasions but this is the first time since the refurbishment. The reception area is lovely and the flower displays which are regularly changed amazing. It is in a prime location near beach and shops. The staff are lovely and attentive. I wished there was more seating areas. The wardrobe was very small for 2 people staying in the room. Outside for breakfast is lovely in the sun however there are lots of birds swooping down on the tables because of the trees. I would definitely go there again.
Amazing
Very happy place.
An amazing stay at this gorgeous hotel. Truly memorable weekend!
nice hotel but the amenities were closed - pool and spa were closed and a makeshift gym was in use. not what we would expect for the level of hotel - very disappointing.
Lovely hotel experience with a few minor setbacks
Luxury experience that makes you feel important. Nice, spacious, fresh and bright rooms with unique design details. Great service and ambiance. A price tag that matches. A few things were lacking likely due to ongoing construction... the gym was in a temporary location and was not ideal (as soon as 4 people got in there it was uncomfortably crowded), the spa services also limited due to construction. The street out front ripped up and under construction so crossing over to the beach via detour was not ideal or quiet. Presuming all this is temporary though. The lovely pier depicted in photos was blocked off by ugly caution tape and temporary fencing so it wasn't accessible to walk on and wasn't overly attractive to look at. No real explanation or apparent reason for that. The room we had adjoined another room with strangers who played music and talked loudly at 2am. And there's a bar across the street that plays loud music/attracts a loud crowd in Friday nights until the wee hours of the morning which can be heard through the walls/ windows. Location is ideal because it's not directly in the thick tourist areas but close enough to everything that you can walk. But overall the hotel is lovely and high end.
Service was exceptional from arrival to closing our cab doors on our way out. Beautiful rooms and bathrooms, great terrace. My friends looooved the brunch. It’s really a cut above the rest.
Cannes
The staff at the hotel is amazing. During our stay, the hotel was under going a renovation. We had some issues with noise, but the front desk and hotel manager went above and beyond to resolve everything to our complete satisfaction. Once the renovation is complete (April 2022), the hotel will be perfect place to enjoy Cannes.
Gorgeous hotel with lovely staff. Stunning interior and just a wonderful experience. Everything was walking distance with no issues getting around.
The Martinez is unquestionably one of the best hotels in the world. The attention to detail from the staff, the decor and the location make it unsurpassable.
Outstanding family stay
We had a fantastic stay at Hotel MARTINEZ . So glamorous and all members of staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful . The room was amazing and the lobby so beautiful . We will visit again for sure . Outstanding . The only issue was having to leave before the beach club opened for the family dining experience on the weekend .
Stunning room, excellent. Facilities, very friendly, professional staff
I had a wonderful stay. The rooms and hotel are beautifully decorated and the staff were very attentive. I highly recommend this hotel
Excellent Service, the room was gorgeous, food amazing!
The hotel is a dream! Beautiful and clean. The staff is very professional as well as very friendly. Love it and will return for our next stay.
Wonderful stay, friendly staff, amazing recommendations from the concierge.
Fantastic hotel, spacious rooms, impeccable location with friendly staff
Very welcoming staff, beautiful and cosy room with modern design, very clean and functional. Amazing breakfast !
The location and everything was perfect One of the best hotels i’ve ever been
El hotel es hermoso muy bien ubicado la atención del personal es impecable así como las habitaciones. La comida es muy rica, el desayuno igual solo que muy costosa, en relación a otros establecimientos de Cannes.
Wonderful hotel in the heart of Cannes. Rooms are beautifully designed and spacious. Great service. They are also adding a pool on the property, which will be nice.
Beautiful stay and hotel
Beautiful clean and fresh hotel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely come back and stay again.
Amazing hotel
Martinez you didn’t disappoint ! The terrace was brilliant, private but caught the sun , comfortable loungers - just excellent . The staff were superb and greeted us by name like we were regulars . Cleanliness couldn’t be faulted , in fact we couldn’t fault our stay at all . Would highly recommend .
Lovely stay
Loved the hotel, location and staff
Amazing honeymoon
It was our honeymoon and they gave us a great room upgrade and a nice welcoming gift - would highly recommend!!
A wonderful hotel along the beach in Cannes. Extremely considerate and friendly staff.
This hotel is in impeccable condition and has the glamour of the roaring 20s while the most comfortable modern rooms. Access to its private beach was easy and of good value. The breakfast was widely and well arrayed with great food. We also found the staff helpful and they always made us feel welcome. My one criticism would be that the check in area was confusing. I can appreciate they wish to make it less institutional and more intimate, but it causes queuing confusion when it’s busy. The highlight of our stay, however, was our extraordinary meal at the restaurant, the Palme d’Or.
Our stay was very pleasant and the service was excellent. The carpets in the hallways were unfortunately always dirty and the constant changing of the towels is not very environmentally friendly.
Great location, fabulous rooms, view and food.
The Martinez - Over Rated
The Martinez is massively over rated. Check in delayed until 17:30 where rooms were guaranteed at 15:00 - Room service always slow and most of requested items wrong somehow. Housekeeping people nice but very approximative. Only positive, rooms are well refurbished, Concierge is good (Gilles and Roberto in particular) and Car Valet good. For the rest, you are wasting your money
A dream stay in Cannes!
Osm
Contemporary hotel of good standard, very clean, well designed decor, USB ports, magnifying mirror, good lighting for makeup. Air play option on TV. Good service, friendly and efficient staff.
The property was very clean and well kept . Staff were generally very polite and helpful .
Ripped off in Cannes
Complete rip off. You pay for the room and then IN ADDITION you have to pay 50 euros per day to park the car and an additional 50 euros per day to use the beach.
The hotel is a certainty. Breakfast is gorgeous! Such a wide selection of everything. Pastries are delicious. Atmosphere is at its best at evening time. Overall it is a really high levelled hotel worth to stay and enjoy Cannes high class living and lifestyle.
High quality hotel
Fabulous hotel! Staff were excellent, especially Ahmed who was particularly gracious.
The best hotel at Croisette. Extremely clean, conveniently located. Unfortunately SPA was closed for renovation.
Fabulous stay in Cannes. The weather is decent even in late January, and you get the benefit of a luxury hotel at non-luxury prices. Hotel Martinez offered the most modern room I've ever had (finally a hotel that puts USB ports in every outlet). Kudos to the sleek and spacious design of the room, the brilliant lighting, the great view, and the exceptionally helpful staff. I'll be staying here again.
a wonderful stay on la croisette
We actually stayed twice at this hotel. We were initially suppose to stay at the barrier Majestic, but they accidentally overbooked their room, so they re-assigned us at the Martinez. What can we say about that stay. We were given a suite on the 5th floor with a direct view on la croisette. A cold bottle of champagne was waiting for us and what not to say about the breakfast. A memorable stay that we will alway remember. PS. They made our honeymoon feel extra special. Thank you again for the great service.
