Good choice in Ponta Delgarda

Very nice hotel with views over the marina and a short walk into town. Reasonable sized room with lovely marble bathroom. Breakfast wasn't the highest quality but the food in the bar and restaurant was otherwise excellent and very good value. Pool was nice. No kettle in room on arrival but appeared after mentioning in check-in review. Staff friendly and helpful

Right across the street from the marina with pool and ocean swimming area. Car rental attached to hotel. Restaurants, stores and bars across the street along marina. Walking distance to downtown Ponta Delgada.

We loved our stay. It was very easy to walk to restaurants and shops. Sonja gave us our VIP room upgrade and bottle of wine. Sofia booked our car rental that was delivered and picked up at the hotel with no security deposit. Breakfast was awesome. Maria at the concierge desk was very helpful planning all of our day trips with us. Highly recommend this property.

The breakfast was an added plus. The room looked over the marina with a private balcony. A wonderful place to stay.

The front desk staff went above and beyond! They got us a rental car and mapped out a tour of the island. The bar and food was excellent as well.

The staff are extremely helpful, their attention to detail is impeccable. The staff surpassed all of our expectations from the team at reception to the bar staff(Antonio) he was so sweet and remembered our names. The cleaning crew who was so amazing trying to find out the scentof soap you guys use to giand door man(Daniel) everyone was so eager to make our stay an unforgettable one.

The room was very comfortable. The staff very friendly. The buffet in the morning was excellent! I highly recommend

Lovely hotel in a great location.Would definitely recommend it.Overlooking the marina with an ocean view . Tours pick up from hotel.Would have liked to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room but not by far a deal breaker.You will not be disappointed.I write this as a single traveller.

Pros: Friendly staff and great service. Property is within easy walking distance of restaurants, stores, and the marina. Convenient, inexpensive parking garage. Cons: Our rooms were warm (the A/C is limited - the case in many European hotels). We left the slider open at night and the area is very noisy well into the morning.

Resort as Great as the View!

Wonderful staff, great facilities and amenities. Big breakfast buffet and clean, quiet rooms right on the water and easy walk through the town. Above and beyond expectations.

This place is amazing staff super friendly knowledgeable first class facility!!

Great place

I was very pleased with our stay there. Only stayed one night because or a flight change. Good variety on the breakfast buffet. Pool was a reasonable temp. Nice to have houseboats and slippers supplied.

I arrived before check in and staff stored my luggage, offered a lounge area while I was waiting. They got me into my room before check in. Rooms were very clean and staff were very friendly.

They stored our luggage when waiting for room to be ready. Breakfast had great fresh options. Very clean and comfortable stay.

Great front desk

Hotel staff are great. We arrived early because of flights from NY to PD, and the hotel staff did everything they could to help us relax and get settled while our rooms were getting ready.

For us we loved the ocean view.

We stayed for one evening, as we prepared for early morning flight to Madeira. We were pleased and very comfortable. We were glad we chose to stay here. Next trip we might just add a day for convenience of early morning flight arrival (6:00 am).

The property had so much to offer. A spa, gym, sauna, indoor and outdoor pool, located right across from the marina pool and pool park with many shopping and dining options to chose from. They also were great with gluten allergys and assistance with taxi services since transportation can be tricky there.

Nice hotel with onsite parking garage, which is a big plus. Very convenient.

Great location, close to the harbour/marina and walking distance to the downtown core. The hotel itself is super clean, with lots of amenities. The breakfast ( included) was excellent. Key to remember - this is an island.

Beautiful hotel, excellent staff, great location! We extended our stay at the hotel and booked it through orbitz. The staff let us stay in our same room and was super accommodating. We did self parking in the garage and it was so convenient. Breakfast was great and our room was always super clean. Thanks for a great stay!

there was mold scent in the air both in hallways and in room, but not overwhelming. i wish pools were open earlier! wifi connection was spotty. aside from these three things, the hotel was excellent. it was clean, comfortable, nice balcony overlooking harbor; it had great staff, room temp control, and best queijo fresco we’ve had!

The hotel needs refreshed. The carpet is stained almost everywhere. The walls in the hallway also need cleaning. The woodwork in the room has a lot of chips.

The hotel is very nice and the dining room staff are excellent. The food was great. We enjoyed the bar and the staff In the bar, especially Salvatore. He was very personable and made us feel welcome. The entertainment in the bar was excellent. Also, Marco in the dining room always asked how we were enjoying the hotel and the island. He gave us many suggestions on things to check out on the island. He was so helpful. We enjoyed swimming in the ocean across from the hotel. We miss that space for its location and it’s excellent stuff. already. The outdoor pool at the hotel is lovely. We recommend this hotel for its great location and it’s excellent staff.

My family and I enjoyed the room size and quietness of the floor we were on as well as the hotel in general. The breakfast was a great, free feature that we also enjoyed.

This property is listed as 4 stars and it truly is. I would highly recommend this hotel. The outdoor pool is lovely and the service was great. The server outside was exceptional and took care of us all week. The included breakfast buffet was a welcome treat in the morning and truly fills you up til the evening. The gym and sauna were clean and expansive. The overall property is gorgeous and so open and airy. We debated over staying here or the 5 star sister hotel next door and were so glad we selected this option. The outdoor pool and decor were much nicer. The rooms were a bit older looking , but still beautiful. Opting for a balcony and upgraded room with seating area is a must. It was an excellent experience! We will be back!

Clean, easy to check in, good location

No hair conditioner or body lotion in the bathroom. Front desk clerk suggested purchasing items from the supermarket. Carpet is old in the hallway and in the bedroom. Breakfast was good and the restaurant staff were cordial.

The desk staff here was amazing from check-in to check-out - they were friendly, helpful, and immediately upgraded us to the top floor and a room with coffee, tea, etc. They also arranged our taxi back to the airport. The hotel and amenities were wonderful and clean, free breakfast buffet was hot and delicious and we enjoyed walking around town from here. Being situated on the main waterfront road, it does get a bit loud at night but we just closed our balcony door when we needed quiet time. Sitting on the balcony of the 6th floor people watching was fun! You can see the public pools below and hear the laughter of the kids enjoying the sea! Both pools are beautiful, and the spa offers a variety of treatments if that’s what you’re looking for. We appreciated being able to leave our luggage for a few hours after check out as well. The only negative thing I could say is that our particular room was a little “tired” (I didn’t see any of the other rooms). We truly enjoyed our short 2-night stay at Hotel Marina Atlantico! Thank you to the wonderful and caring staff!

This property is conveniently located close to the airport, old town and all tourist activities. Staff is friendly and attentive. I celebrated my birthday and staff pleasantly surprised me with a bottle of champagne in my room. I enjoyed my stay in this hotel.

Enjoyed looking at waterfront and all available within walking distance. Only staff engaging with guests was the gentleman seating us for breakfast; everyone else was serious and quick in response. Our room had a musty smell by the door to balcony and there was no signage stating that what was in the mini bar had a fee associated. The inside of room for storage - closets was dated. Hotel was clean and gave nice presentation in lobby, hallways. Restaurant was very good for dinner. Breakfasts needed a bit more variety for the buffet. A concierge resource would have been nice for planning activities.

The rooms were small so I had to purchase 2 for a family of 4 costing me twice as much than other hotels. The view of the marina was nice but not what I expected.

The from desk staff was very kind and helpful. They spoke excellent English and were able to give many recommendations on area activities.

Great property

We had a great stay! Super friendly staff, great location and well maintained property. Breakfast was included and was also very nicely done.

The hotel is dated and needs upgrades. The blinds in the room were broken and we didnt have complete blackout which was disruptive to my sleep. No offer to change rooms from staff. The safe was too small even hold my ipad and malfunctioned during my stay. The showerhead was also broken. The staff was nice and professional but not overly friendly and there was one individual who was a bit rude. The location is good. The breakfaet offered is great. They do need to increase parking as most people who come will be driving. Overall I would probably not return here though.

This is a fantastic hotel. It's in a great area. Close to the airport. And the rest of the island is accessible on the major highway close by. The one complaint I had is that the carpets look horrible like they haven't been replaced in many years. The disinfectant smell is not good. If they would put new carpets in, this would be a perfect hotel. The restaurant is great. Low prices and fantastic food. And there is ample lounge area and amenities. I got a great price through Expedia and would say there again

Great location overlooking the harbour. Get an ocean view if you can. They have a small patio you can sit on. Easy access to restaurants and downtown.

Beautiful hotel, the staff were absolutely lovely and helpful, I even received some champagne on my birthday night there completely unexpectedly! I couldn’t rate the hotel higher it was in the most perfect area, with a beautiful view also. Thank you all so much.

No AC… room was hot. We opened door to balcony. It seems on Thursday nite a large group of men walk around the marina singing to the beat of a drum! Until 5am!! Had nice dinner in restaurant.

The hotel was able to do an early check in, about 9am, which was perfect after a long flight from US, I really appreciated it. The facilities are great, breakfast is great with lots of options, even gluten free bread which I did not expect, pool is clean and hot tub is functioning, good temperature. Overall excellent experience.

We had to pay for parking on our first night and we didn't get any direction on how we were supposed to bring our bags to our rooms from Parking garage....there was no elevator from that particular parking garage which was annoying

Special shoutout to Antonio at Ascuna Lounge. We had an ill person in our party and he was very considerate and caring of our situation. Also, the food there was excellent! We would highly rate this hotel except for the all night screaming and yelling of partyers on the street. We will likely not stay there again. It is a shame because it is not the hotel’s fault, and the hotel is excellent!

Dining area was staffed like a 5 star resort.

Phenomenal oceanfront hotel!

Everything about this hotel was great! The location with it being right on the oceanfront allowed for some pretty neat views especially of the sunset and sunrise. The rooms were pretty spacious, clean, and comfortable. Staff was also extremely helpful and kind. The breakfast was also very good! It was about a 5 minute walk to the center of Ponta Delgada. There are multiple amazing restaurants within a 5-10 minute walking distance of this hotel. Highly recommend to book this hotel if you are staying in Ponta Delgada.

Excellent customer service room qualities, outstanding.

Enjoyed the views, facilities: spa- had a great massage, steam room, hot tub, free yoga class. Good breakfast, very convenient location, was able to bath in the ocean right in front of the hotel. Fabio and Sofia at the front desk were fabulous, helped with all our requests.

The breakfast was incredible. Lots of selection and very delicious. Parking was convenient but you have to pay. The beds were very comfortable and the sheets and duvet were pristine. The rooms were quite nice however the rugs on the floor were stained and old. They need to be replaced.

Staff was very helpful. Great location with easy on site parking. Minutes to city center on foot. Would highly recommend.

Good location for a stop over.

Perfect Spot

I booked a room here after realizing I mistakenly confirmed a 22 hour layover in the Azores on my return to US from Lisbon. The hotel was easy to get to late night from the airport via taxi. The bar had a great wine list. The breakfast was wonderful. And, I loved having options for tours and rental cars right across the street the next morning. The staff were kind and spoke great English! I felt very safe as a solo female traveler.

Very clean, friendly staff. Limited outlets in the bedroom area, bring an extension cord. Otherwise, everything else just perfect. Great location!

Excellent location with beautiful views of marina and beyond! We really enjoyed walkable proximity to major attractions of Ponta Delgada, decent breakfast, as well as swimming in Atlantic ocean right in front of our hotel with free public access and facilities!
