Planning our return trip!
Marielle was a perfect hotel for us - conveniently located on the slopes and provided all that we needed for a week skiing. The hotel staff couldn’t do enough for us for my girlfriend’s 30th Birthday and We are already planning a return trip!
We stayed 1 night only so we can avoid the traffic next day! Rooms were very tiny, outdated, bathrooms small old outdated I could fit in shower! Its 30’’ x 30” Food on the dinner buffet, absolutely not worth it! So many things and all of them not properly cooked and cold! So not Worth it for 300€!
Easy ski in and out, nice relaxing bar
Great hotel. Location was perfect for all amenities. Would definitely recommend
Perfect ski in ski out location outside ski school and directly onto the main slope. Lovely, varied dinner.
Excellent! The location for access to the slopes is fantastic, the food options every day were incredible, the boot room is wonderful, rooms spacious and comfortable, excellent wine and then the sauna at the end of a day skiing is divine
Hotel was great, staff were very friendly. Be aware you have to book dinner even though its a buffet, we weren't told about this and went to the buffet 2 nights got sat fine then rest of the nights had a 45 min -1 hour wait, after skiing you are definitely tired and don't want to be waiting to eat. I did tell the manager that I felt this should be told at check in so that people can pre plan their meal times.
Great location, friendly helpful staff, bar service could be faster
Easy access to slopes
Amazing we had a great time!
Was disappointed by the resort that is meant to be car free. In realisty yhere are cars everywhere. Hotel is also really bad value. Amazing staff though, super friendly and professional.
Ski in ski out. Amazing staff
Really good but not perfect
The hotel is very well located, and it’s clean/comfortable/etc. Two issues: 1) no parking (which is fine if you reserve the nearby P2 at least a week in advance) and 2) the hotel’s elevators are pretty slow. Maybe being on the 1st or 4th floor would be good to avoid needing the elevator too often!
spot on location, okay but expensive
I was at the hotel for 2 nights, absolutely nightmare getting a parking space for my car and experienced this needs to be pre-booked long time before arrival. Reception was helpful and thank you for the shuttle service back to the carpark...the hotel is okay for a 4 star standard, good offering and services, shower cabin was very small for my quite avg size. door to the neighboring room was open, I mentioned it to the reception who took action. breakfast is avg and the location spot on for skiing in and out. expensive paying almost £200 a night.
Great hotel but dinner not recommended.
Hotel is in a perfect location. The staff are friendly and attentive. Bed was comfy and my children loved the bunk beds. We were able to arrange a transfer from Geneva airport via the hotel which really helped us out. The staff were kind enough to make us a breakfast package on the last day to take with us. It was huge! The locker room with boot heaters with direct access to the piste. The piste is very well kept and the free 3 enormous magic carpets made learning so much easier for my children to learn to snowboard (evolution2 are fantastic for lessons). Only a couple of complaints. The dinner has a lot of choice for meat eaters, but I wouldn't say it's very tasty. Chips were cold and soggy, the pasta sauce was just a can of tin tomatoes. The pasta itself was undercooked.Only plus was the nice beef. Not much choice for vegetarians, forget about vegan. I wouldnt recommend half board, just breakfast. There are plenty of restaurants close by with tasty food. Overall the hotel is excellent. Next time I would just have breakfast included.
The was a smell in the lower (floor 1) corridors l which was not nice. We upraged inbthe end as our room was so depressing
Great hotel.
Perfect location. Staff were very helpful. Room was kept spotless. Food was amazing.
Lovely hotel and friendly staff
The place is run by inexperienced people. The rooms are super tiny and the picture don’t really show the hotel. The driver was super nice and the food at the restaurant was good.
Overall great but the bed could do with more pillows and a better more comfortable bed spread. A minibar or similar would be good. Also showers not working in spa and no towels.
Overall it is a really nice hotel with great service, good bartenders at the bar and good food and the breakfast and dinner buffett. The only issue I had was that there was terrible cell service in room 504 and because of the structure of the building I also had really bad wifi. This wasn't just my cell phone provider as I used a cell phone from the US, a cell phone from the Netherlands and a sim card from the UK. I could tell that the staff was extremely service oriented and the hotel was really nice but there are just a few things that need a bit of tweaking. The first floor between the spa and the ski locker room needs some serious ventilation, the wifi could be better and it would be nice if food was served earlier than 7pm.
Great place right next to the slopes
Very good location right next to the slopes. The staff for very nice and helpful. Breakfast qas ok, dinner was not good and i recommend stay away and book the room Breakfast only. Overall good value for the price.
Recommend hotel in prime location
Recommend hotel in prime location on the slopes of val thorens. The staff is very nice and helpful. The rooms and lobby are a bit outdated but its fine. The hotel is clean and is being cleaned frequently. Breakfast is ok+. Dinner is not that good, and if you arrive an hour after the opening time, there are dishes that are finished. Variety is low and the quality is also not that good... I would recommend avoiding Dinner and do B&B only. I would also wish there was a more cozy lobby to st and relax and have a drink after a ski day... All in all, i recommend this hotel mainly because of the location. For the price we paid the value was good.
Location is great (perfect easy ski in/out.) Hotel staff friendly. Room was comfortable (tiny shower though) and always clean. Sauna great, good spa for massages/treatments as well. Dinner buffet is a relatively cheap option compared to going to good restaurants. The food was decent (excellent vegetables, but disappointing proteins.) Dinner service was a few days terrible (like not asking if you want to drink something), but luckily improved the next days. Christmas dinner was great. Overall, I think the price/quality of a few other hotels might be better, but still we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Marielle.
Will go back
Clean, neat, new hotel with excellent staff and a decent buffet breakfast and a well-stocked bar. Ski room very easily located on the front de neige, hotel front door on the main street.
El mejor lugar para hospedarse si vas a esquiar
Nice hotel, great access to the ski slopes.
Nice Hotel, the room was clean and comfortable. Great access to the skislopes and the staff is very nice. My only negative comment would be the dinner buffet. Its not bad but its nothing special either and the same applies to the service. I would absolutely stay there again but I would eat somewhere else.
Espace spa Nuxe.

Stayed at Hotel Marielle for three nights for a Spring snowboarding trip with my teenage son. Location is excellent right on the snow front with ski in ski put directly to the main lifts in Val Thorens. Reception, restaurant and bar staff were friendly professional, knowledgable and most importantly helpful and really made the stay a real pleasure. Room was spacious and clean and had a great view of the snow front. The terrace bar below does play music late afternoon till about 6 or 7 which adds to the buzz of the snow front location but if you want a quiet room better to ask for one at the back. Good selection of food options for breakfast and dinner (we did half board). Service gets a bit overwhelmed at peak pre ski school time 8.15 to 8.45am (our visit was in school holidays) with a few items running out on the buffet but they are quickly replaced if you ask. A second coffee machine might help for peak times! Decor is lovely - has a bit of a Parisian Boutique hotel feel to it. Huge spa with steam room and massive Sauna with a window onto the snow front. Although my son is a teenager now I thought the hotel was well set up for smaller children with lots staying, the ESF ski school straight out front and a decent games room. Val Thorens wa s great for Spring skiing lent to of snow relative to resorts further down the valley and the multitude of lifts meant no big queues. Would definitely stay here again.
