Lovely hotel! Great location, close to lots of cafes and a few metro stations. We were on the first floor facing the street and I worried it might be noisy but even over the weekend it was quiet. Loved the neighborhood too, not too touristy but close to city center too. Would absolutely stay again.
Clean rooms, friendly staff and very convenient location.
Merci!
This hotel is very clean and the staff was wonderful. It’s in a great location, near restaurants, boulangeries, shops and the metro. I would stay here again.
Cozy, clean and intimate
Having read the reviews before booking, and having looked at the hotel's website and photographs, I was excited to book this hotel to stay with my teenage daughter for her first trip to Paris. Upon arrival, we were given the keys to the smallest, darkest hotel room I have ever stayed in (and I've travelled quite a lot). The view from the bedroom window was just a filthy wall and there was no natural light at all. I strongly considered moving hotels. But I asked whether there were any other rooms available, and was pleased to be able to move to a much larger, lighter room for the second two nights. The staff were efficient and helpful. Good location. But this certainly is not the boutique hotel which it purports to be. I wouldn't recommend it and wouldn't return.
Superb hotel: great professional staff. Excellent value breakfast: sophisticated and plentiful choice. Room larger than many in Paris; good shower, kettle, lots of storage space, decent tv. Bed very comfortable; beautiful new curtains. Great location: 2 bus options from Gare du Nord (91 better than 56) 69 bus near hotel gets you to Chatelet etc Walking distance of Marais. Several supermarches close by and near to Rue Sedaine for a famous cat cafe (do not go Monday: 'repos des chats')
Great little hotel. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. Room was very comfy. Breakfast lovely and location excellent for Bastille and Le Merais. Will definitely return.
I Loved my room and bed . The staff were nice and friendly. Unfortunately I could smell toast in my room early in the morning. Anyone else visiting should also be aware that they are doing refurbishment. There was a lot of banging and drilling after 8am .Probably necessary but too early in the day.
Great location, access to lots of metro lines, room is pretty small but still comfortable as long as you don’t have a lot of big suitcases. Area is GREAT, would stay here again.
Very friendly...pleasant room overlooking the street but prerfectly quiet Good breakfast. What not to like
Good value
Overall it was a great stay with our family with young adults. Conveniently located near metro station, stores, restaurants, cafes. It would help if the refrigerator is vented to reduce the heat in the closet.
A reasonably priced gem in the 11th
What a wonderful surprise in the 11th arrondissement Paris. Beautiful lobby / sitting area. Rooms were well appointed and spacious. Large bathroom. Chair and small desk in your room as well. Excellent breakfast as well. 15 minute walk to the Marais.
Wonderful Hotel
Quaint boutique Parisian hotel. Comfortable room, convenient location, beautiful balcony with city view, friendly and accommodating staff - highly recommended.
We enjoyed our stay here. Was probably a little further out of the main tourist parts that we had planned for, however room was affordable, clean and had easy transport links.
great area!!! room was small but the bed was comfortable.
Very pleasant stay.
Lovely staff who kindly helped us book a taxi to the airport. We really appreciate the service and friendliness of the staff. Many thanks, Brianna
Staff were pleasant, very clean, breakfast was good and very accessible and convenient
Very nice rooms and staff. Close to shops, metro stations, dining.
Fantastic
The stay was fantastic. We were made to feel welcome, clear communication and the rooms are what we expected. To a high standard
The hotel was gorgeous. I was met with so many unexpected gifts for comfort. The room was warm. The bathroom updated and spacious. The bed was a welcome delight after 6 hours roamimg the city and Uber Eats delivered wine and food right to the front desk! I will be back!!!
Great location, just a few blocks from Place de la Bastille and the Marais. Easy Metro access as well. Room was no frills but clean and comfy. Staff was super friendly and helpful. When my luggage was lost by the airline, the fellow at the front desk called immediately upon its arrival (at midnight!) and brought it straightaway to my room, knowing that I was anxious to receive it. Great service!
This is our second stay at MB. We will return.
Very pretty hotel. Just a block away from the Metro Shower pressure great. Comfortable bed
Great location and easy access to transit!!
It was very nice and clean. The breakfast was very nice.
Bedroom and property were beautiful! They were eager to help.
Excellent price and value. Very close to Bastille and Marais and Metro. Friendly staff and acceptable room size.
Great location lovely service
An unpretentious gem.
Comfortable well run hotel with helpful staff. Well situated near Bastille and the Marais but in an area that isn't too busy.
The hotel is pleasant, clean and comfortable. We really liked our room which, facing on to the courtyard, was nice and quiet. It is in a great location and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Located just north of the Bastille Circle, lots of great restaurants in the area.
Everything was great except the the AC did not work very well
Great hotel in a great location!
Wonderful hotel in a terrific location in Paris. Steps from two metro stops and an easy walk to tons of restaurants. And amazing a/c during an extremely hot weekend in Paris. Love this hotel every visit, will absolutely be back.
Nice hotel with very friendly staff, room was small for two people but still nice and clean. Area has a lot of nice local places to dine at. Affordable, public transport a walk away.
Cute boutique hotel, but poor amenities/services
Convenient location. Cute boutique hotel. Nice, good-sized, clean rooms. Because it’s a boutique hotel, very small building and rooms close together. Horrible for anyone who has difficulty walking - small, spiral staircase and super tiny elevator so often have to wait. Shower dangerous - doorless with nothing to hang on to when get it/out shower and water gets everywhere (and we’re young and able-bodied). Would not recommend for seniors. Front desk a bit prickly and not super friendly or helpful, except a woman who sometimes works at the desk. No real amenities to speak of. Website says “laundry services,” which means exorbitant prices to send out laundry; no laundry facilities on-site.
Decent hotel. However the AC unit did not work properly, and it was hot and uncomfortable to sleep. The shower scenario needs help as the glass panel is not enough to keep the water from going everywhere, even onto the carpet right outside the bathroom door. I thought it was a bit pricey but for the most part it was fine and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Will Stay Again
The lobby was very comfortable. The room was very comfortable. It was relatively quiet. Very clean. Great area.
Really great location and hotel was very clean, staff helpful and lovely
Everything was OK but checking in was a drawn out process.
Hotel is small clean and in excellent location staff friendly. Our room was dark and a little hot due to having no outside window only an old lift shaft for a view
It is an old style hotel fixed up as much as possible. The rooms are small.
Great place!
Great location being right next to a Metro stop and the Marais area. I was traveling alone and felt very safe. Stayed on top floor with a cute little balcony and could see Bastille right down street and even the top of the Eiffel Tower. Staff was very friendly.
Not accommodating
Because of the strike/ protests on April 6 I did not stay in Paris. The hotel would not give me credit or allow me to change my dates.
Enjoyed our short stay at Hotel Marais Bastille, will consider staying again in future.
This is an excellent place in every way! Thank you!
Nice stay overall.
Hotel Marais Bastille is very clean and well kept, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. It is on a busy street, traffic-wise, so it can get loud at night if you have the balcony window open, as we did. Not a lot of shops or restaurants near the hotel / right on the street, but the neighborhood just behind the hotel has plenty of everything you would be looking for and is much more pedestrian-friendly. One other nice thing about this hotel is that the street is wide, so it is easy to get an Uber without feeling like you are holding up traffic. We found it to be a very nice and very comfortable place to call home-base for the week.
Nice hotel, friendly staff, great location
Very helpful staff. Polite and accommodating. Easy access to metro. Nice outdoor market available during the week.
Overall it was a decent place to stay. Room was a little on the smaller side but served it’s purpose. Was a little further away from major tourist spots than I would like it to be but easy access to the rail system. My biggest disappointment was that our travel via the Eurostar from London was cancelled at the last minute due to strikes in France. Something that was completely out of our hands but we still had to pay for the 2 nights we planned on even though we only stayed for 1. They wouldn’t even have a conversation about it.
Great location, friendly & helpful staff, very clean rooms!
Great location, clean room, friendly staff. It’s a smaller hotel, and in Paris, so you should not expect the typical big hotel amenities. But you don’t need them, everything is out the door. If you happen to be there for the Farmer’s Market, it’s a must see and do. Close to many Metro stops, bars, cafes, restaurants. We were truly only in our room to sleep. Highly recommend.
The hotel was very clean and close to two metro stops.
Awesome
We travelled from the UK by euro tunnel. Fantastic quaint hotel considering only 3 stars! Easy to find with a great surrounding area with many restaurants/bars and the metro within walking distance. The room was clean, well equipped with a spacious bathroom and the small balcony was great for fresh air and views. Read a lot of reviews about it being noisy in the rooms but we didn’t find this problem arise at all! We paid extra for the breakfast which was a small buffet but with plenty of option and everything you needed to start your day. Friendly and welcoming staff overall a fantastic stay! Great shop across the road from the hotel to get supplies, it has almost everything you may need!
The hotel has very small rooms although it was very clean. It had a very nice breakfast and the staff was very nice!
We stayed five nights in December and absolutely loved this place. It was warm and welcoming after long days of sightseeing around Paris and the perfect combination of not too tourist-y location and convenience (metro station across the street and an easy walk to the 3rd and 4th).) We enjoyed wandering the large Sunday market right outside. Everything was spotless and our room was serviced every day (a welcome surprise after all the Covid related changes in US hotels these days.) All the staff were so friendly and helpful and spoke perfect English. They were even good sports about letting me practice my very bad French! We were pleasantly surprised when we checked in to learn that our reservation included daily breakfast and the food and service were lovely on the two days we took advantage of it. The only thing that gave us pause during our entire stay was the toilet in room 64- there is only about 12 inches from the front of the toilet to the wall in the minuscule water closet! We would absolutely recommend this hotel and are already dreaming of a return trip. Thank you for everything, Hotel Marais Bastille!
Great place to stay until elevator wouldn’t come up to my floor when trying to leave and had to carry my suitcase down flights of stairs
Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to public transportation and it has easy access to restaurants , pharmacy and small grocery store. The place is very clean and the offer breakfast that it great to start before you go sight seeing.
We had a room with queen bed and sofa bed. The room was spacious and bright enough and had closet for storing clothes. Oversized bathroom with double sink. Bslcony with view of the street and park. Very quiet.
It was a friendly hotel Little gifts in our room .., nice touch 🌸
Person at desk was unavaiable at 5am after I went to get my car from parking to load it with luggage. Waited 25 minutes for the door to be answered
Great location. Very helpful people at the front desk and a.nice, relatively spacious room.
Very nice hotel in a great neighborhood! Staff was very friendly.
Very slow wifi, black mold in the shower. Friendly staff, convenient location.
Friendly and helpful multilingual staff,
Everything was very good excellent attention and all staff very kind also for sure if I will back to paris I will reserve with the hotel again thanks idris
Excellent location. Hotel is being remodelled so the paint smell was a bit strong but that will change with time. Staff were friendly and helpful and there are a lot of good restaurants in the area.
What a lovely stay, felt very safe as two young female travellers. The bottle of water topped up daily was a blessing. Staff were kind and accommodating. The gentleman who checked us in helped us greatly with the metro and how to get to our airport when we left. Lovely building, nice beds and good room!
1st time visiting Paris. Loved the hotel, room was small, but my daughter and I were comfortable, the front desk staff was extremely helpful answering all of our questions and giving directions. We spoke very little French, but they understood what we were asking. Hotel is located in an excellent area with restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets, and the Metro easily accessible. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back.
Wonderful stay in a great location. Super friendly and helpful staff especially Idris at the desk. Comfortable and clean rooms with A/C. Highly recommend
Lovely little hotel in a great area. Room was a little small but we didn’t need much as we were out all day anyways. Highly recommend
convenient clean and friendly
Safe, clean, welcoming, great neighborhood. Outdoor market across street, Thurs&Suns.. 2 Metro stations within 5 minutes.
Great hotel, service was excellent all employees at the front desk did their very best to make our stay great. Traffic in the area is really bad, so access by taxi is very difficult
lovely hotel in a great location
Good location. Our room doesn't face the street, and is quiet. Close to metro stations. Many dining and grocery shopping options in the neighbourhood. Staff are friendly.
Nice friendly hotel
Room was very nice and staff were lovely. Photos on website show a balcony with a table and chairs however the balcony was in fact very small and had no table and chairs. The air conditioning unit was also quite old and struggled to work. Overall a good stay apart from a couple of snags
A really awesome hotel in Paris. The location is perfect and you can access the Metro (subway station) in minutes. There are a lot of restaurants, cafes and pubs nearby and the place is vibrant and oozing with excitement. The hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating and they are genuinely kind and provides you answers to all your questions. The kitchen staff, housemaid and everyone else have great attitude. It is a cozy, boutique hotel in Bastille and I really enjoyed my stay in this place!
Great hotel for the price (winter price)
We came from Canada to visit, this hotel was fantastic the night manager helped us a lot. I would definitely recommend the hotel and would stay again was in a beautiful area by the bastille
Hotel très agréable très bien situé. Très calme. Personnel adorable. Excellent rapport qualité prix.
The staff was amazing . Location is great
Great location. Very small rooms
Clean and friendly hotel
Everything about this hotel was amazing. Good price for a comfortable and clean room. Good local neighborhood and a quick metro ride to the tourist spots. Service at the hotel was amazing. Idriss at the front desk was so incredibly helpful when I needed help making a french phone call. He went above and beyond.
Convenient to take train and friendly staffs
Excellent location and easy to get around or walk weather permitting. The room was clean and then linen was clean but then something bit me the following day - I think that it was in the towels. The safe deposit box was not working but I didn't bring jewellery. The biggest problem is that you can hear everything that couples when on holiday. Also the people above me did bang and play ball till 1am when I called reception to complain after another guest told them off - he asked what do you want me to do???!!!???. They continued to do what they did the next day also around 2.30am. When I booked online i thought that all taxes were paid for because that is what email said and the web page on completion. Upon checking out they wanted to charge city taxes - now on what planet have you bought and paid for anything that didn't include taxes? Please.
Friendly and helpful staff! Good location near Bastille and a small walk to Place des Voges.
well located and very clean, even with the strike going on, we can still manage to reach most tourist attractions by walking or line 1. Staffs are very helpful and responsive
This is a 3 star Best Western Hôtel. There are no frills and not many amenities. It was advertised as having room service which it does not. Breakfast is cold and over priced. The Lady preparing breakfast is nice and Idris at front desk is very helpful. I felt a bit deceived not knowing this was part of the Best Western chain since that is not disclosed and that it doesn’t have the advertised room service. If you just want a basic hotel to sleep at this hotel is for you. We would probably not book this hotel again but it was fine for our visit other than being locked out of the hotel one night for a little while.
Great staff and place , recommended have nothing else to say just writing required 50 characters
Location excellent, service great, clean rooms & excellent design.
It was clean, a little more spacious than the average room in Paris. Good Wi-Fi, convenient location and a very tiney elevator! I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Small, but lovely room. Nice breakfast and close walk to metro and not far from Bastille Opera.
Nice, quaint, quiet hotel. Southwest of the hustle and bustle of downtown Paris. Can walk to shops and restaurants. Uber was always within 5 minutes. Clean. Friendly staff. Enjoyed my stay there!
They upgrade my room and so kind all the time
