Good stay

Did the purpose close to airport for an early morning flight and accommodate early breakfast too.

Nice staff and bus station to Venice was few minute walk.; however the maytreses were worn and lopsided and room was too hot even with eindow open. No option available to turn the temp down just turn heat off. Also, somehow we list? Coukd not find the key to the room and eventhough it eas rrplaced we did not feel safe sleeping there with the thought that someone had our key.

Great food in restaurant.

The hotel was exactly what we needed.... a 1 nights stay before our cruise. It was next to the grocery store. And the buffet breakfast was good. Everything was clean.

Loved the convenience to the airport. Since I was alone, staff was pleasant & I enjoyed the bar & the fact they provided dinner (no actual restaurant) at a reasonable price. Negative was the bed … very hard & no mattress pad! Sheet was directly on mattress! I asked & was told no rooms had mattress pads!

Perfectly acceptable for a business trip, fairly close to the airport and no problem getting a taxi when requested, decent restaurant, No drinks in the bedroom, but good shower and comfortable bed. Will stay again

The property appeared clean. Restaurant is closed from 10:00 am to 7:30 pm. Beds are very uncomfortable as well as the pillows. Air conditioning is very poor, you have to put your hand near the duct in the ceiling to feel it even with fan on the highest setting. You don’t receive a bill for your meals so you have to track your purchases. Would not stay here again.

The air conditioning did work in the middle of the Summer. The breakfast is good, but at 10:00 they throw you out. There is no transfer to or from the Trieste airport although is really close. There should be one. Taxis are the only way in or it. For a 5 minute trip: 25€

The air conditioner in the entire property was out & they failed to let me know. I had 2 rooms. This was the end of our 3 week long vacation before flying home. My son ended with heat stroke. Sick for several hours during flight back home. Still waiting to hear from the management. It was over 90 degrees with no air conditioner. Unacceptable

This hotel was quite good except the breakfast offered no good options for people with sugar problems.

Inside the hotel was clean and welcoming. Outside the hotel landscape was tired and Less tidy (tripped over broken concrete in front of the hotel). Dysfunctional a/c. Room never cooled down Night manger friendly and accommodating. Hustling restaurant staff. Day manager perpetually annoyed.

Our room had a strange odor. There was no hot water in our shower. We stayed there because it was so close (5 minutes) to the airport Nd had a very early morning flight. Hotel has no service to airport and best they could do was arrange a 25 euro cab ride. 25 euros for 5 minutes! Ridiculous.

Perfect if you need to stay close to the airport

Very conveniently located close to the airport. Easy parking. Breakfast Buffett starts at 5AM but I had to be at the airport at 5 so didn't get a chance to check it out. My room was spacious, bathroom clean and updated. Perfect if you need to stay close to the airport.

The hotel was conveniently close to airport and serves and early breakfast for ctaching early flights.

Amazing foods in the restaurant, especially the pastas. Our waiter was extremely efficient and helpful.

The hotel is close to the airport but there are no alternatives for where to eat or transportation. It is very remote, there is no Uber

Everything was great! The door to our room (even our daughter’s room) was creaky and loud when we opened and closed it. Minor detail. But the elevator door closed hard and struck me as I was entering. There were 4 of us entering the elevator, which takes a bit of time, but it started to close with me entering the elevator and hit my arm and continued to close till it hit my body. Abruptly. No injury, but I was certainly surprised! I would stay at this hotel again though. Great location, great breakfast and great service!

Very good hotel situated near highway. It is ideal place to make a rest after a long drive.

Overall, for a 4 star hotel, I expected a lot more. First the positives: the buffet breakfast was delicious; the location being next to Trieste Airport was ideal for us having landed late at night; the hotel was very quiet. Now the negatives: the rooms felt dated…in need of a renovation; the air conditioning was a joke…we were sweating trying to go to bed at night; the beds were uncomfortable…really really firm; they charged us for taking an extra water bottle at breakfast even though it was an all-you-can-eat buffet.

Good little hotel for a quick overnight

Good little hotel for a quick overnight. We just needed rest while driving to Croatia and the hotel was ideal for that.

Location next to the airport is most convenient, wonderful helpful staff, clean all over, good access to internet, many possibilities to pluck in, varied clientele.

We arrived airport at 11pm, but didn’t get taxi until 12:30am, call the hotel staff, no help at all, same as 2nd morning, the hotel staff are incapable to call a taxi!

The room was well priced, clean and spacious The low rating was due to the air conditioning not working, or being controlled by the hotel Our room stayed over 80 degrees throughout our stay we checked with the staff several times and they said that there was nothing that they could do. We would not stay at this hotel, or recommend it.

We have been twice in this hotel , the hotel is beautiful very easy to arrive if you have a fly from Trieste airport; around you have lot of shop’s and restaurant’s. The first time we’ve been there everything was ok , that’s why we return . When we arrive the second time no one inform us that the pipe was broken and there was no water in the room. There was no apologize or compensation for it. We couldn’t take a shower and the elevator was broken . We felt totally ignored; we work in 5 stars hotel ; the personal need to be trained and give them the possibility in this cases to provide options or apologize in some way .

They had everything to make a one night stay during flight layovers more comfortable. Nice rooms, cordial staff, dining for breakfast and dinner, and a good menu. Convenient shuttle. Our stay was brief but pleasant.

Nice hotel

We stayed one night after arriving at the airport. The only way from the airport was by taxi costing 15 euros there and 20 back . There were no pavements to walk there. The room was divided in two with a sitting room and bedroom and was adequate for our nights stay. It was a hot day and we had to put the air conditioning on. Unfortunately the bedroom did not cool until the middle of the night , making it uncomfortable. However apart from that we enjoyed our stay and would come again. The hotel was situated next to a supermarket which was useful.

The service was very good accommodation was what you would expect from 4 star accommodation, we would be happy to stay there again

Hotel is good; 2 miles from airport &train station

Hotel is very clean with decent restaurant, good staff and 2 miles from airport and train station. BUT, If you were thinking of walking from the airport/trains to the Hotel because it's only a couple of miles, DON'T, as it is all highway and no sidewalks. The only option is to take a taxi, which costs $20. one-way. Uber & Lyft are not yet available in this area.

It was a nice hotel. There is easy acces to shopping.

Checked in to find a notice that there would be no hot water. AC unit in room did not work a double only blew hot air. Conveniently close to a grocery store and airport, but not much else nearby.

Some of the staff are rude and abrupt. Some are equally wonderful. The food in the restaurant is average and that’s being polite my partners pasta was bland my veal over cooked. The bathroom was clean and had constant hot water. The carpet in the room needs a good deep clean. On the final nights stay an expensive perfume of mine had been stolen no doubt by house keeping. I didn’t report it as it’s my word against theirs. I came for a holiday not a showdown. That behaviour is deplorable and quite frankly disgusting. So if you stay here ensure you lock your belongings away or better take any valuables with you. All in all would I stay here again most definitely not. Would I recommend it to friends or family no o would not.

Excellent staff but no air conditioning working

The hotel is well placed for ease of exploring the local areas of Trieste, Croatia, Slovenia etc. The hotel staff are excellent and the rooms are clean. The air conditioning in the rooms is defective and does not work at all most of the time. This renders the rooms stifling hot and makes sleeping at night difficult when the weather is really hot.

An uncomfortable stay!

The hotel is ok. Rooms are big and clean. Most people at the reception are very nice with the odd exception. Service in the restaurant is excellent. Unfortunately, the air conditioning in the rooms either it did not work or they controlled the temperature centrally and the rooms were stuffy and extremely hot. When the outside temperature was 36c the room temperature was 32c. I do not call this air conditioning. The reception was unable to tell us what the problem was or do anything about it!

Staff forced me to buy another room

We are family of 4 wanted to stay in one room. However staff at checkin was not freirndly at all and forced us to buy another room

Business trip

Overnight stay, very friendly staff, very close to the airport, good food, good value for money. Not much in the immediate area but, we stayed for convenience and proximity to airport so didn’t explore the local town

Don't arrive late at night for a meal

I was arriving at around 9pm and was advised previously that meals would be served till 9.30pm. When I arrived at 9.05pm the receptionist confirmed that I would still be able to have a meal....at 9.10pm I went into the bar/restaurant area and was told abruptly by the young miserable lady BEHIND THE BAR that the restaurant was closed in no uncertain terms. I told her that twice I was assured that I could order a meal until 9.30pm and she said that the kitchen was closed without being pleasant . At this stage due to her very bad mannerisms I protested loudly and eventually a VERY NICE young lady came to talk to me and said YES I can have a meal....the lady BEHIND THE BAR had a very bad attitude and was NOT customer friendly.

Excellent airport hotel, Justin 5min ride from TRS. New, modern, with good food and breakfast. My only negative is hat hallways ( on 2nd floor where I stayed ) smelled on smoke and room had some smoke odor. Believe it was recently converted from Smoking to NS

Convenient overnight stop

A welcoming comfortable stay having flown to Trieste late and travelling on to holiday destination the next day. We had a relax d drink and were able to get food should we want to. Breakfast was great a buffet and lots of choice.

Great location near Trieste airport

In the July heat, anticipating arrival at the Hotel Major in order to enjoy the air conditioned room. My reservation included (3) rooms and the air conditioning was broken in (2) of those rooms - #207 and #407

Fantastic staff and a great breakfast.

Spent one night here with my infant. Staff were so friendly and helpful. We loved the breakfast too - huge selection and high quality. Rooms were nice - spacious, contemporary and clean. Would love to stay again.

terrible stay

room was dirty, marks on the walls, floors and windows, mosquitoes were everywhere. WiFi doesn't work , the bed and pillows were rock solid, breakfast was the worst I've ever had, juice was horrible, bread rolls were rock solid, milk was warm and tables were dirty. probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. would never stay here again.

Below average hotel with an above average staff.

Overall this hotel is a vit below average. It is rather modern in the style and furnishings, however the lack of upkeep and cleanliness takes away from that. This is a below average really best for the budget seeking consumer.

The room was too hot with no way to cool it, the staff was completely unhelpful. Internet access was impossible. Far away from restaurants. This is a good place to avoid!

I suffered from room electricity malfunction. I had to check-out at 5AM using my mobile phone as a light source. Not what you expect. Breakfast was supposed to start at 5AM. There was no food at all.

Our stay was not bad.. Hotel is nice but hallways and rooms have a bad musty smell (like a cheap motel).. There was a New bathroom, but everything else was old and not updated.. Air conditioning worked but didnt feel the room ever got cold.. Overall things were just ok.... Breakfast was simple, asked for eggs prepared for me and with no problem they provided it for me...

I stayed here after an 10.30pm arrival at the nearby Trieste Airport, en route to Slovenia. The people were helpful and the room was clean and large, but functional rather than luxurious or very comfortable. The room had a large double bed with sheets & blankets and good pillows. It also had a small table & 4 chairs in an ante-room, as well as a medium to large bathroom with a shower and a bath (with a shower head over the bath too). Breakfast was difficult for a gluten-free eater (though I hadn't warned them beforehand) - quite standard continental breakfast to be fair.

Good service

This was a one night stay en route to Rome but we were very happy with everything about the hotel. We suspect we were were given an upgrade to a suite at no extra cost.

Close to the airport

A great location if you want to be close to the airport( as we did) but not if you need entertainment. Nice hotel and very friendly staff. I found the bed to be too hard but other than that everything was good.

Efficient, clean, friendly staff close to Trieste

just a few minutes away from Trieste airport (by car) this is an efficient hotel which offers everything one needs for an overnight stay just before an early departure flight

Shower curtain barely intact.

Hotel was conveniently located near highway, but other than that I wouldn't recommend this place. Shower curtain was barely hanging on. Sofa bed was a single pull out ( showed as a double in pictures). Breakfast was sparse when we arrived (with an hour left in service) and had a dissappointing assortment of food. Parking garage was difficult to enter as you had to get out to reach the access key slot and then it didn't work after several tries! Argh!
