We were warmly welcomed back to this hotel overlooking the wonderful Biarritz beach. We were very impressed by the range of food at breakfast …and would happily return.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The dinner restaurant was closed at 5pm the menu was limited

Property is nice, did the job for me for one night. Accommodations are clean, walkable and I did rent a room with sea view, which was nice. The walls are thin, I did hear my upstairs neighbors as they were making a lot of noise, but luckily for me, that lasted for less than 5 minutes! All else was fine

Received a last minute free upgrade to the la suite which is next doors. New property, very clean and great staff!

Great ocean view spot

Enjoyed my stay here. The room (403) has an amazing view of the ocean, Grande Beach and the promenade. Location is excellent for town too. Room is small but was traveling alone so was fine. The shower is the middle of room, which was odd but interesting. Hotel staff were excellent as well. Included breakfast, which wasn’t fancy but was fine and had freshly squeezed juices and variety of breads. The spaces in the property are on small side overall, and you can hear a little walking around upstairs. But I would definitely stay here again.

Price too expensive for what we were given. Small room, just a window with ocean view. The price is a highway robbery.

The Ocean View room is wonderful!!

Considering the overall cost for a 1-night stay the room we were allocated was incredibly small… there was barely any room to put our suitcase without tripping over it! On a more positive note, the breakfast (included in the price) was outstanding.

Friendly staff, good room, great breakfast

We liked this hotel very much even though the room was rather small and cozy. Check in was very easy as the gentleman in front knew it was us checking in (given we landed on the last flight of the night). Again, our room was small but it had everything we needed. The shower is a shower stall in the middle of the room which was unique. Our room had a balcony (we were on the 2nd floor so not very high up) and we had a nice view of the Grande Plage. The fridge was not cold, however. Breakfast was good and had ample options (toasts, croissants and pain au chocolate, yogurts, cottave cheese, French-style scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, veggies and fruits, lox and hard boiled eggs. Service was friendly. Do note no gym or pool but they have towels for the beach. Front desk can get you a taxi to the train station or airport or day trips. We would stay again.

Great position close to beach, restaurants and stores. Good selection at breakfast. Nice room though somewhat small. BUT WIFI for my tablet in the room kept dropping off - had to use Personal Hotspot. Single elevator for two people covering 7 floors means you may have to wait or walk the stairs. Overall good experience.

Front desk staff and breakfast buffet staff were very friendly and helpful. Special kudos to the front staff!

The hotel has a great location, literally metres from the beach and the rooms my friend and I had were very clean, comfortable, stylishly furnished and had wonderful ocean views. Unfortunately my friend was unable to access the wifi in her room, although I had no problem.

Loved the location of the hotel and the buffet breakfast was great, lovely selection and quality. We only stayed for one night but the room had everything we needed. A couple of negatives, the shower gel hadnt been refilled and was empty. They also had a problem with their phone lines, which on reporting to the desk the response was ‘yes, I’ve heard that about that room’. Why not fix it? We were in 508, shortly after arrival we were getting calls to make restaurant bookings etc. didn’t think too much about it and went out. After coming back late it rang multiple times with people trying to get into the hotel. At this point we just pulled the plug out but seriously-it should be fixed as no one wants a rubbish sleep being constantly woken. Reception staff couldn’t have cared less.

Great location, room a little small but not a problem. 1 very small 2 person lift only and impossible so best to you stairs. Payable Car park and restaurant nearby. Very good location as on sea front with east access to beach and great views

A great family hotel.

Pros: 1. Excellent location right off the Grand Beach, walkable to all main attractions in Biarritz. 2. Full breakfast with great selection of cheeses, meats, baked goods, freshly squeezed juices, delicious yogurts, etc… 3. Friendly multilingual staff Cons: 1. Room (deluxe ocean front) was extremely tiny. If u have more than one suitcase there’ll be no room to walk around. 2. Walls are not soundproof at all, so you’ll hear everything from neighboring rooms and floor above. 3. WiFi in the room is non existent as soon as you close your room door. It only works in the lobby and downstairs cafeteria. 4. There’s only one elevator with maximum capacity for 2 ppl or 2 suitcases and a person, so be prepared to wait a while or take the stairs.

Beaucoup de bruit la première nuit... Un objet frappait sur l'immeuble et heurtait le mur (chambre 601). Mais après avoir demandé un changement de chambre, on nous a gentiment rehaussé notre habitation et déplacés à l'hôtel La suite qui appartient au Windsor. Service impeccable, déjeuner incroyable, site merveilleux, etc.

Small boutique hotel located in great area, easy walk to shops and restaurants. Had a great corner room facing the ocean, well worth the extra charge. Decent breakfast on lower level. Hotel is older, but well maintained and renovated few years ago.

Pleasant experience throughout

Pleasant throughout. Well mannered staff. Treated our dog as an equally valid guest. Staff were attentive at all times. Whoever was on duty at 21.30 last night was a complete gem. Breakfast is a feast of choice and flavour. A treat.

Comfortable

Hotel is very clean and excellent location , Breakfast is good, fresh food and amazing orange juice . We booked a comfort room which was very small indeed , it was clean, comfortable bed , but the poor view, bad aircon and small room marked my stay down . Value for money, its fine , but if staying longer pay for a bigger room

Friendly people at the front desk and great location. Other than that old miniscule elevator, tiny bed and room, no view seeing the inner stairs, 12 inch tv, no AC working! Not recommended, not even a 2 star hotel!

Excellent value for money with quality service and facilities.

Right off the beach!! Close to everything. Super friendly staff in particular Emma who secured me a dinner reservation at at hard to get into restaurant on a Friday night. And I loved the baggage holding service before and after check-in and the offer of a shower after checking out near the reception desk so I could enjoy one more ocean swimming experience. Just wonderful all around.

Good service and lovely staff. Great breakfast. But poor design of rooms. The bed was very comfortable but the room size and bathroom were too small. Shower leaked a lot into the bathroom vanity area and as for services, there was no iron, no milk, and not enough hanging space and no hooks to hang wet swimwear. Also no beach towells were provided.

Good room. Not so great of lobby and very bad elevator situation! Overall this place needs some upgrading.

No on site parking is a problem. Extremely busy everywhere so hard parking anywhere close. Must be murder in the season we were there in December. Great restaurant for dinner at the hotel and breakfast was great. Room fine, sea view lovely and you can hear the ocean. Very clean and well run. Would love to return only the parking would stop me.

Very hospitable

Amazingly friendly staff and very helpful. We checked in late at night with my daughter not feeling well. The night porter helped with the bags and also offered to call a Doctor immediately if we needed one. Felt really looked after.

The Windsor is a perfect location for the beach. Room size is very Euro/French size. Breakfast is great. No other major amenities like a pool or workout facility. Staff is extremely nice.

The staff were wonderful and made the stay amazing. The property was beautiful and our room was perfect for our family. Breakfast was also very good. Would stay here again for sure and will recommend to others traveling this way in the future.

The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The hotel is very nice and the location is perfect. You walk out the door and onto the beach. They gave our friend’s child sand toys to play with!

Sejour at the Windsor hôtel

We were delighted by the welcome by the Staff on arrival. The room was very clean, the bed very comfortable. Just one criticism, the awful smell from drains which was never addressed. A shame because they have a super hotel and sea views with a devoted and efficient Staff. The rate was reasonable too!

Beautiful Beach access Biarritz

We loved Biarritz. Although are view was not full on it was spectacular. Room was spacious for some reason it was handicapped room. Shower was spacious and easy to get in and out. Biarritz was one of our favorite cities. Nice breakfast. Room service would have been ice for the first night as we arrived late and tired. Overall we loved it

Misleading photos, not worth the the cost!

There are several options for hotels close to the ocean and we chose this hotel based on the beautiful photos. We decided to splurge and upgraded to a superior ocean view room. Upon entering our room, I returned to reception and explained that this was not the room that was pictured when I booked. They disagreed with me and told me it was indeed a Superior room and there was no others room to switch to. One of the reasons we love to stay at the beach is the sound of waves at night. This room/hotel is situated above the roof top bar of the casino and the music and partying was so loud we were forced to close the windows. When I awoke at 3:30, the bar had closed and I opened the windows only to be woken up again at 6am by the noise of the street cleaners and the delivery trucks unloading downstairs. The very uncomfortable bed was 2 twin beds pushed together. There were only 2 outlets in the room, one on the one side of the bed and the other near the door which was very inconvenient. Also, the bathroom had not toiletries other than hand gel. The location of the hotel had some shops and restaurants but the main shopping area was a long walk. Needless to say, we were very disappointed in this hotel. Biarritz is a beautiful and friendly town but there are better options and locations available.

Excellent hotel impeccable service. My mother recommended it . She lives in the same city. I wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Windsor to anyone wishing to visit Biarritz. The hotel location is right in the city centre.

Not worth the cost, tiny room, difficult access, minimalist services and facilities including the room where we had nowhere to open a medium size suitcase and a carry-on.

Modernized older hotel

Wonderful location. Loved our room looking out over the ocean. Small balcony that we could climb out onto. The included breakfast was one of the best we have EVER had! Such a fun town with so much going on. The elevators were the old fashioned kind that only two can fit into and were so slow! Just dealt with it and still loved this little gem.
