We came in a bit late and were confused as to where to check in. We got to our room and were able to eat dinner and breakfast the following morning. Given that accommodations on Mont St. Michel are limited, we had a good room and a great experience.
So a few notes about this property: There is no parking at the property. Theres no parking on the island at all. Im not sure why they advertise parking, i find it a bit confusing. If you let them know that you will be parking, they will send you a code for parking lot 3 that can be used once. Lot 3 is the closest civilian lot to the shuttle. There is no discount for parking. As for the facilities: the hotel entrance is under construction and...theres no one at the entrance. For some reason, they do not tell you this. When you arrive at the door to the hotel and cant get in, theres a sign telling you to go back to basically the island entrance and go to a different hotel for check in. Why this isnt explained before you arrive, i have no idea. Breakfast was at another hotel. We didnt go. There was a restaurant/bar attached to the hotel. It was no functioning during our stay. There appeared to be a coffee shop on the 1st floor. The rooms are ok. You will be climbing lots of spiral stairs. The last set of stairs has no handrail and will be an issue for anyone with mobility issues. You get exactly 1 roll of toilet paper and one hand towel. No washclothes. There are no fans, so your ventilation will be the one window: not sure i would visit in summer. This also means the room is noisy (gulls and carts start at around 5 am) and you will have flies in the room. Theres not many restaurants open at night, even if they say they are open. your food options are limited.
Lot of walking uphill to multiple locations!
The hotel was fine but we had two main issues: 1) They did not tell us in advance that the check-in was at a different location than the address stated on Google maps. So we ended up dragging our bags uphill in the wrong direction initially. In addition, the room assigned to us was at yet another location, neither at the checkin spot nor the address listed on Google maps. Lost a lot of time and effort due to that. It would have been good to clarify this upfront, I might not have booked this hotel in that case because we had two little children and a lot of luggage. 2) Our room lock wasnât working, so when we tried to leave for dinner after checking into our room, we couldnât. Someone we couldnât call the help desk either. My husband had to go back to the reception office (which was far away) and bring someone back to fix it.
Not for us
I had to go back and reread the prior reviews to see why I selected this hotel. Iâm still amazed. We traveled with another couple and they felt the same way. Very very old and not well maintained. The mattress was broken. The bathroom smelled like sewer. When I walked into the lobby, I though uhoh.
Great staff
You stay here for the location on the Mont. We stayed in the family room which was suitable for the 4 of us. The beds were comfortable enough. The full bathroom was larger than we were expecting.
Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience, and everyone was very kind. Check-in was a bit confusing since the reception desk wasnât located at the hotel. Instead, it was near the entrance of the island and shared check-in office for all hotels on the island. The free breakfast was provided at a local restaurant rather than at the hotel. Be sure to check with the staff at the reception office for details.
Check in was really confusing. Had to call beforehand and get a code to park. Sat on hold for 15 minutes to get the code. Arrived at the hotel and door was locked. Called again and was told to go somewhere else to check in. Went to the other hotel to check in and then had to walk a third place to get to the hotel. None of this was disclosed beforehand. Glad I had cell service or I would have been lost. Staff was great, bed was comfortable. Shower is tiny. Iâm 6â 175 lbs and I barely had enough room to wash myself.
Beautiful location
Never again
Highway robbery for a cubbyhole of a room in which you couldnât swing a cat on top of which the bathroom smelled of rotten eggs. The check in area was a mystery to find as was the breakfast room (where the scrambled eggs were cold). If they had charged one third of the actual price it would still be overpriced. I understand that space is at a premium in Le Mont St. Michel but that doesnât excuse lack of quality and price gouging.
The check in location was not clear and it was frustrating to find. The rooms were very small and not really that nice. I was expecting more for the price. However, the location was great and we loved waking up on the island before the other tourists arrived.
This hotel was in a very old bldg on Mont Sainte Michele Island which is very appealing if you're into that, which if you're visiting MSM, you probably are. As expected, the room was very tiny and so was the bathroom. It was odd, as the bed was comfy, the bathroom modern, the carpet and walls seem to have been recently renovated but ...the windows were single pane glass as they used to be in the past for people who could afford windows. Our room had some ripped blinds on the windows that had black mold on them and the windows had a lot of condensation on them in the morning when we woke up. Hence the mold. Neither of us has a mold allergy so we were ok but I would advise anyone with any mold sensitivity to think twice about staying here or really anyplace on the island as I suspect they all have that issue to a greater or lesser degree. The bldg itself seems to be under renovation which is great as it could use it, but the construction crew doesn't seem to see a need to clean up after themselves. Be prepared to climb stairs to get to your room, not good for people with mobility issues. The good part is you can feel the history in the room and indeed in the building, which to my mind is very cool. I feel like I got to be a tiny part of it and was able to reflect on the lives of the people who must have lived and worked there in the past. MSM is so magical that the bad stuff doesn't matter all that much. Would recommend with those caveats.
The office, restaurant and hotel all have different names. Why not have a sign with both names? Bad directions to the annexâŠsaid âgo to the archâ which was hidden, not over the street. Walking all over trying to find our room while pulling our luggage. No bellman luggage service to help with the multiple stairs and ramps up the mountain. Breakfast was just fair. Other restaurants had nice menus. Room was not very clean and carpet smelled musty.
Was very difficult to find our room, explaination very poor but once we found it, on our own 5 Trips up and down⊠wished shop open earlier since we stayed at there before tourist buses started kind of disjointing
The best thing about this hotel is that it allowed me to be first in line the next morning to see the abbey. Breakfast was pretty good too.
Nice place. Very old with no updates. Bathroom smelled like mold. Food quality was not that great
It is right off the Main Street into Mont St Michel. It was so convenient to stairs up to the perimeter wall and was very close to the gate so you could see the water or sand very well. Plan for lots of steps. There was no air conditioning and it was buggy due to rain, so we were a little warm. All of the staff were amazing. We did a Demi pension so breakfast and dinner were provided. It was convenient and delicious.
Lovely, charming place
Wonderful hotel right in the middle of magical, Mont St Michel. Very clean and very charming. It was like staying in a fairy tale. The breakfast was outstanding. I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a great experience in Saint Michelle.
Hotel le Mouton Blanc was a perfect place to stay on the island because you can't beat the location. When you arrive, you can just park in the assigned parking lot and follow the markers to the shuttle (it comes every 10 minutes). We only waited a few minutes, and the shuttle to Mont St. Michele took about 5-7 minutes. The check-in process was confusing, but we were let into our room three hours early, so it was worth it. You will see the hotel sign on the right, but the actual entrance to the hotel is through an archway on the left. Also, you don't check in where you see the hotel sign, so ask the property for details on the best way to check in, which is near the post office. We had a wonderful time staying on the island, and while the room was a bit small, especially the bathroom, it was clean with a fantastic location.
Great location on LeMSM. Check-in was a bit of a mess: walked up the hill in the rain, was informed we had to walk back down the hill in the rain to another location to check in, then walk back up the hill to our hotel, in the rain. Breakfast was good. Long climb on a narrow circular staircase to get to our room - a challenge with a large suitcase.
Our room 308 had spectacular views and was worth the steps to get there. The room was surprisingly spacious and the beds were comfortable and seemed to be queen sized. Staff was lovely at check in and check out.
We were not given directions for check in, which we eventually found out was 200 metres down the street and in a side street. The room was small with cramped bathroom and the water pressure was low. Otherwise it was adequate.
The best was its location in the center of the town with convenient access to shops and restaurants. The problem was the rise of f the stairs was very steep with very narrow steps. In addition, the room was located in an annex in a different building far from where the breakfast was served. I think people should be warned about all this.
The hotel rooms are spread throughout the small island - we stayed at the Jean D'Arc Annex, on the 3rd level overlooking the main route with a great view of the bay over the rooftops. It is worth noting the smells of restaurants cooking in the evenings were fairly pronounced, not necessarily something negative. It was great to stay on the island too explore at night with barely anyone crowding the streets.
Fun experience with some issues
Hard to find reception, is actually located just past the post office on the left as you come onto mont st michel. No instructions on were to find it, other guests had the same issue too. Room did not come with any towels, our bed was on a slope and we actually slept the other way around as it was that bad. Room was small but expected it to be, included breakfast was ok but basic. Ok stay.
Clean and comfortable room in awesome location
We stayed in the Jeanne D'Arc Annexe, which provided a simple but comfortable room for our family of 3. The room was clean and had all the amenities needed. Although it was a hot evening (August) during our stay, opening the windows provided a lovely breeze, which worked well.
Dinner in the restaurant was great, breakfast was average. No water in the morning and no help or acknowledgment from staff that this was happening should have offered us bottle water.
I would not stay again. Too noisy. Too confusing to find and the only rude person in my 3 weeks was a server at the restaurant
The location is spectacular, but the room was very warm in August and there were no screens on the windows, so opening them meant bugs. The facilities are more basic than the description implies. But, again, it was wonderful to stay on the island for the night.
Very nice place.
Front desk was not at all friendly. TV in room didnât work and when I informed the front desk she told me she would look into it tomorrow. The room had no air conditioning, only offered a small fan. Room was extremely small.
Do not stay here if you want to sleep past 3am!
Horrible check in instructions. Despite repeatedly asking where to check in and being told to go to the hotel, we hiked up the hill to the hotel only to be told to hike back down to another location for the key. Then at 3am we were woken to the sound of forklifts driving up and down the passageway delivering items all morning long. The items coming to our hotel were then loudly dumped in the service space next to our room. Checkout was a horrible experience. Will not stay here again.
Keeping in mind that there are multiple buildings and room designs, my experience is to my specific room, 101, over the restaurant. Obviously, there is no AC, so windows open in the summer is the way of life. Unfortunately the way of life to remove refuse and restock shops is by handtruck. The rattling and clanging began around 5am and was frustrating after coming in at midnight from the merveille show. So, overall, lovely, just know there is a lot noise at this specific room.
Although room was small, very functional and right where we needed to be!!
Beautiful, but early morning noise
The place was right on the main street of Mont St. Michel, which was just what we wanted. It was like living in another time, especially at night when all the foot traffic died down. There is a lot of street noise in the morning though, with the shops and restaurants getting ready for the day. It could be heard starting just before 5am. If you want restful sleep, I'd recommend you stay somewhere off the island.
The property was well located, and overall a good place to stay. The lack of ventilation (no AC and pigeons just outside windows) made things a little uncomfortable. Room was austere, but clean and breakfast was very good.
Wonât return to Mouton Blanc
Service was TERRIBLE!! Rude and not minimum services: reception at the hotel, very unfriendly, no AC, No elevator, etc etc
Don't waste your money!!
Was like sleeping in a closet. Mattress should have been thrown out a decade ago.
Great location next to the Abby Mont St. Michel.
It is important to check in at reception up the stairs near the restaurant...[the details for check-in should include this.] before you get to the hotel otherwise you will be doing some walking. Some of the rooms are beautifully placed along some of the cobblestone walks, be sure to know where you are going because the walk with luggage can be a little tiring especially after walking from the shuttles. The accessible scenery, abbey and shops, and area around the room, sunsets and sunrises, make it all worth it.
The hotel itself was fine however, the check in process is maddening. We wondered around for two hours calling the hotel, trying to find out where to check in with no avail. They kept saying they would meet us on the street, but they were never there. This two hour delay caused us to miss dinner that night because all restaurants were closed by the time we were finished. Very challenging situation.
Happy
Not amazing but ok. Curtain was hanging off the rail, no toilet roll provided, but not overly bothered by it. My advice to other travellers is not to stay and eat there at all, would recommend a visit as it is a spectacle but the experience as a resident staying one night took the shine off. Restaurants and shops are limited, expensive and of poor quality.
Excellent location, overpriced for quality of the room. Filthy carpet
Great value staying here. Breakfast was great (included.) The room was larger than many we have experienced in Europe. Bed was comfortable and shower was fine. All the workers were friendly. We enjoyed it.
The beds were ok. The rooms are exceptionally small. The carpeting was stained. The bathroom smelled. Location was nice. Breakfast was good and so was the staff. Know that you check into your room at the sister hotel near the entrance and there is know one to grant you access if you go up to the hotel itself.
HĂŽtel registration was located at a different hotel. Took us 45 minutes to locate registration and then find our room. They didnât understand English. Room was dirty, tore up fabric on the walls, really small space and the strong smell of cat urine was horrible. We asked for a different room and none was available. We were stuck with a room that I wasnât fit for anyone.
Excellent stay!
Quaint below the Abbey
Hotel staff very helpful, initially providing us with exact directions to the appropriate parking lot. Finding the reception was not intuitive but restaurant adjacent to hotel pointed us in the right direction. Reception staff friendly & efficient. Room in historic building- quaint, but comfortable & bathroom modern. Buffet breakfast was a nice bonus
The place of Mont-St-Michel is magnificent but that was the worst hotel reservation experience EVER ! (and we are seasoned travellers).
Bathroom was extremely narrow and would be difficult to use toilet if you were a larger person. Breakfast was very good but staff did not speak English and we had a difficult time locating the restaurant. It would have been very helpful if staff had maps of the location in order to get around.
Nothing!!! I booked the reservation 6 mos ago⊠they couldnât find my reservation but finally did locate it..: but the hotel was full so they put us somewhere else . I called at least 3 times before we arrived and no one answered. Finally they did when we were trying to find P3 which we never did!!. I would have never found the reception area if not for a kind man who helped us find it. Again, an issue over our reservation. We were supposed to have a twin room but apparently they are non existent! We never could find parking lot 3 but we parked elsewhere and it was fine. Breakfast was supposedly down below our room but no!!! It was across the street and upstairs⊠who knew!??!!! Anyway it turned out ok but stressful. The room was tiny but we had a lovely view of the causeway.
This was definitely value for the money spent. Not expecting much considering the whole island is a medieval village. Very clean although the building is obviously quite old. Super location right on the island of Mont St. Michel. Was fun to wander the pathways in the evening when it was only the people staying on the island. Beautiful sunset view over the bay from medieval ramparts.
Beautiful hotel, great breakfast, great staff
Difficult to review a hotel in a building hundreds of years old, however it was clean and the bathrooms were updated. Excellent location. The check in was a bit confusing. Excellent breakfast.
Missing TV
Great place to visit but hotel was just ok. Bed was comfortable. Our view was the roof of the other building. TV was missing and when inquired, he said "it's broken".
We had an excellent at Hotel le Mouton Blanc! It was right by the abbey so we got to enjoy the whole area after everyone leave for the day. The views from the windows was spectacular! Limited Options for breakfast but it was decent.
Good stay
hotel in Mont St Michel, but extremely difficult to find. Lobby closed. no sign to tell me where to go. end up that I think all the hotels are under one reception down the hill. they should have listed all the hotels name on the wall or something. Parking is not free. apparently, I was supposed to be given a code to enter the parking space. but i cannot contact the hotel on arrival. end up getting a ticket for the overnight parking 20Euro.
I've never used the word scam in a review, but this comes close. The Hotel Mount Blanc is closed. You walk halfway up the hill to the the church and come across the hotel with no signage, or directions on where to go. When you finally call, you are directed to another hotel down at the bottom of the hill, and then you get keys to the mount blanc "annex", which has no physical connection to the hotel at all. It is in a separate building with no signage or markings. Specific issues: 1. No communication from the hotel on how / where to park or what the code to access the parking for guests staying on island was. Had I not known that there was a special parking area for on site guests, we would have been in general parking. 2. No communication from hotel on where to check in. It was a lot of wasted effort going up and down. 3. There is a phone in the room. It was non operative so if there's a problem, you are on your own. 4. Although the hotel advertising wifi, the network did not appear on anyones phone. 5. They tried to overcharge us 24 Euros per room above what the expedia reservatioon was for. The first time I mentioned it, the clerk feigned that he didn't understand me. I insisted and finally he "checked" the reservation and confirmed the lower price. 6. THere was a bedside lamp attached to the headboard which was a head strike risk given how low and over the mattress is was attached. I had to wrap a towel around it to keep from injuring myself.
Loved staying her. I had read reviews about checkin being difficult to find. When I got to the island I found the information place and they were able to direct me to where I needed to check it. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Iâm so glad we decided to stay in the island. It was nice to go to sleep with the island and wake up with it. We practically had the place to ourselves in the morning. Breakfast was delicious. Iâm glad I added that to my ticket.
Was difficult to find the lobby as all hotels are staffed out of 1 lobby.
No instructions how to get to the reception, which is not in the same location. Hard to communicate over the phone with anybody there
We did not stay at the hotel we booked. We stayed at a sister property. Because of the level of the window, our view as literally at the level of the walking path. Since we were there for only one night, it served it's purpose.
Is a beautiful place, wonderful experience
Lovely property. No elevator, so when staying on top floor, thank goodness the staff cheerfully Carries bags up and down stairs. Room a little tight but still nice. Restaurant low on appearance, but the pastry/dessert chef is a superstar. Do not skip dessert!
Spent one night to experience Mont-Saint-Michel, and we enjoyed our time on the island. Although it is full of tourists during the day, it is very relaxing and beautiful at night. The room and bathroom were quite small, but livable for one night. We were disappointed that we were not informed check in was at another location other than the hotelâs lobby, even though we had called a few days earlier to get parking instructions and confirm our reservation. Also, be sure to pack light, as the bus to / from the island is crowded and drops you off about 1/2 km away from the front gate. Overall, an average / expensive stay at a remarkable place.
We had visited MSM , but never stayed overnight . What an amazing richness to see it in the âquietâ majesty. We were pleasantly surprised to find such comfortable and convenient lodging. Great experiences and will return. Staff was most helpful. Merci
We went to the partner property to get key as stated on a sign so we had to backtrack down street. Check in person very friendly & efficient. Room is small but clean. No AC as stated. We werenât too far from the beginning entrance for going out to check on the views of lights or water. Unfortunately a dance troop was practicing the entire evening and the city was never lit up. Breakfast room was very nice and had good choices.
Spent one night at the Hotel le Mouton Blanc on the main street of Le Mont St Michel. Driving a rental car so called hotel in advance to determine where to park. Were given code for one of the public parking lots off the island reserved for hotel guests. (Upon exiting, we paid $20 euro fee. Shuttle carries you from off-island parking lots to midway the island bridge and you walk from there.) The hotel clerk gave us information regarding where to check in at a different hotel lobby. Upon arrival and check in, this clerk offered to carry our bags to room. I accepted his kind offer even though we had only one small bag each. This was most important as Iâm not sure we would have ever located our room without this assistance. The hotel is quite a way down the street and around the corner from the check-in location so I suggest you ask for and get help to find your room. Once in our room, we had a comfortable bed, hot shower with plenty of water pressure, and clean surroundings. Other reviewers have shown photos of the carpet as though the carpet is discolored or dirty; it isnât. The carpet has pattern of almost abstract camouflage design. It wouldnât have been my first choice, but it was fine. As in other ancient buildings in Europe, the rooms are cozy in size and have no AC. Visited during heat wave in September so days and early evening were both quite warm. Opened window. Could have really used a fan. Delicious breakfast included. Donât miss the chance to visit this island.
Mont st Michel itself is a great place. Being in that hotel is a plus adventure. The bathroom is clean. The sad part is the noise.
We drive from Versailles and got there after 10:30pm. GPS did not work properly and took awhile to find their parking. The parking code the hotel gave me did not work and I had to press a button to let us in. Their shuttle bus operates until 11:00pm and we barely made to the island. The hotel did not answer the calls for several hours, this place was barely lit, we could not find the hotel. They gave me instructions but no map to find this property to check in nor people at this late hour, we had extremely hard time finding the place carrying large luggage on stairs until an hotel employee finally answered my call around midnight. There are a lot of stairs up and down, the streets on the island was barely lit You could enjoy the dark sky, but the scrounging was too dark to walk around and piles of trash and cardboard boxes were everywhere. There were many vending machines but a few was actually working. Our room was tiny, no space to open our luggage. TV did not work at all. We had a tiny bathroom and the carpet was dirty from water stain and a tile in the bathroom was cracked halfway. I understand that maintaining this property is challenging because there is no elevator but the hotel is a kind of rundown than antique. We waked up because of seagulls, loud forklifts, voices of workers from the Main Street Breakfast was standard but understaffed and fries were everywhere. Our sightseeing to the Abby was undercut due to swamp of people.
Need refreshing
Didn't expect a bath tub. Sure was nice after all the stairs
It was lovely to see the landscape from our room.
July 2023 Visit
Great experience! While small for a family of 4, we spent most of our time walking the streets until we had to go to sleep. This is a room for location over anything else and to me it was well worth it! Just know that your hotel reservation matches where you are supposed to dine for dinner.
Older but nice property. Comfortable and nice location.
The checkin process wasnât clear, but we were able to figure it out.
Historic. Good breakfast. Clean.
Amazing to stay at Mont St Michel!
Avoid
Like many others I wanted to stay on the island to avoid the crowds and it is quiet at night. What you have to understand is that most of not all the accommodation and restaurants on the island are owned by the same company. Without competition the quality goes way down and the cost way up. This hotel is basically a few rooms above a pretty iffy restaurant. The stairs up also go the kitchen so there is a nasty kitchen smell and trash both at the hotel entrance and also up the stairs. The breakfast is pretty bad in a depressingly dark part of the restaurant. Although the room was probably clean the whole vibe of the place was of a dingy, dirty hotel. There are no staff on site except for those in the restaurant. I said hi in passing and got a disgruntled look. I would stay off the island and just get a ticket for 9am for the abbey and get there early. I donât usually write bad reviews but as others have said this is a serious tourist trap. Also avoid all restaurants they all have basically the same menu with the same typeface and format. The food was bad. The drinks were worse. Some of the worst wine Iâve had anywhere. The abbey is beautiful but you could do the whole island in a morning if you got there early. Stay in St Malo where the hotels and restaurants are way better.
We really enjoyed our stay at Le Mouton Blanc. Nice beds, large bathroom and convenient to the Abbey, restaurants and shopping. We would choose this hotel again. It was clean and reasonable,
The room is very small but was clean and comfortable. In a great location. Our room was on the street so it got noisy around 5:00 AM when deliveries and garbage pickup began. It is an experience to stay on the island--really great when all of the crowds leave.
It was awesome staying on the island.
Good location and clean.
The location of this property is fantastic. Itâs on an island that is busy with tourists, in a medieval building in a medieval village. So itâs not a corporate hotel in a suburb, which to me is a good thing. You can hear what is happening in the street below, but at night when the tourists leave the island, itâs quiet. It can be a bit noisy in the early morning. I was happy with that tradeoff. For my money, the location and the ease of access it provides, as well as the opportunity to be on the island at night, canât be beat. The room had been renovated; the bathroom was great. I paid for the breakfast. It was very good for the money, with a lot of variety. With the cost of things in Europe right now, I could never have gotten what I got on my own at that price. Check in was quick and easy, check out too.
Great location. Definitely worth the price to have quiet access to Mont St Michel before and after the crowd.
Good value for staying on the "island"
It's pretty cool to stay at St Michel as opposed to day tripping it, because you can visit the abbey and other sites during the times when the tour groups aren't there. Once the groups get there, the place kind of turns into a circus and it becomes hard to really enjoy it. The room we had at Mouton Blanc was clean and comfortable. The price was reasonable considering that you have to pay extra for the location. The room was a little too crammed. We did see a couple of flies, but I'm pretty sure that's just a result of the climate as we saw them at other places there as well. Overall, a good value and worth it to stay on the "island". I would definitely recommend.
Great to be able to stay so close to the abbey and to view Mont st michel day and night, fabulous
Avoid staying on the Island with a lot of luggage
Decided to overnight on the island to avoid multiple trips on the shuttle. I don't regret it, but would do it differently if had known better. The hotel has rooms in multiple small buildings. It was an ordeal to drag luggage up the hill to our room. The listing doesn't tell you, but you have to pick up your key at a hotel with a different name near the bottom of the hill. That requires carrying your things up a high fight of stairs and then back down. There are no elevators on the island. After getting up the hill to my building it was a long flight of stairs down to the entrance. By the time I got to to my room I was exhausted. Room was small and bathroom smaller - tiny. Clean and modern but not to western code standards for size. The bathroom was too small for two people to share. There was a strange smell in the hallways, but I did not notice in the room. Most places for food start to close at 4:30 PM. Another building of the hotel has a restaurant that is open later. Food was decent. Waiter spoke English well and was pleasant and helpful. Internet was unexpectedly very good. TV did not work (not that I really cared). After dinner there is nothing to do and the island is pretty much deserted. Some people like to time their stay to a full moon so they can watch the tide come in at night. I recommend going to the island only with an overnight bag, if you can.
Check in was fast and efficient. The staff was responsive to my inquiries before we arrived. While there were minimal amenities given the type of hotel and location, the bed was extremely comfortable and the free breakfast very good.
The parking wasnât free âŹ15 in a unsecured car park getting the parking code is a waste of time. The room was very basic no tea no coffee no water . Toilet so small you had to keep the door open otherwise you banged your head and knees on the door
Great location!
Nice hotel if you are staying in Mont Saint Michel. However, be aware that some rooms are the size of a closet with no working wifi or tv. Also they could not give us extra pillows, there are no extra pillows on this Mountain.
Staying on the island allowed me to have a spiritual experience before and after the throngs. As a hotel they do pretty well considering the location.
Nice hotel in Mont St. Michel
We chose to stay here for the convenience of being in the city of Mont St. Michel. It was great exploring the city and ramparts after the crowds had left. The hotel was comfortable and breakfast was great. Parking and shuttle very easy. Glad we stayed here but you definitely pay for the location.
Staying on the island is great.
We really loved staying overnight on the island. That was worth every penny. The room was in a good location and the staff was very helpful. For being on the island, the room was a decent size and we had everything we needed. The bed was not very comfortable though. The mattresses seem to be quite old. Otherwise we had a great stay and would do it again.
What a cool spot!
An absolute pleasure to wake up to the view of the sea. The historical feeling is all around. Highly recommend staying here!

The one thing you have to keep in mind is that the receptionist is at a different location. It seems that one place owns a few in town. The stay was perfect as well as customer service, breakfast and convenience
