Good as long as everyone is quiet

Great location, nice hotel unless you want to sleep, at least when there is a party going on. Walls are very thin. Carryover from a wedding party was noisy well past 3 in the morning. We asked to move to a different room but they said they would handle it. Normal talking in adjacent room comes right through the walls. Bathroom was a bit small and parking was quite limited. They directed us to a local public parking garage which worked fine. View of the cathedral was awesome.

Very pleasant stay in this excellent hotel. Service extremely good and all very comfortable. Lovely bar area and restaurant and very centrally located. Only criticism is there’s no air conditioning

Great location, great restaurant.

The restaurant snd bar area were well appointed, but our room left a lot to be desired. It was clean, but I wouldn’t put kids on the rug, that didn’t come off as being clean. Smallest shower in the world. Tough for a big guy. Same with the lift, one person one suitcase. Parking was a real pain, and no area designated to drop off bags or easy parking. Get what you pay for.

The staff was welcoming and friendly. Great location, good food, and attractive public areas.

Centrally located. Perfect for exploring the area. The dining is Michelin caliber. Everything we ordered was incredible.

Wonderful stay

Amazing stay! Super comfy beds, amazing view of the cathedral, excellent restaurant, personalized service from check in to check out.

Super location, clean, friendly staff, great breakfast. The only issue was their parking garage was full, so we had to park in a public garage.

The inside of the hotel and bedrooms are beautifully decorated! Front desk employees were very nice. The hotel is right in the center of Chartres. The bathrooms were clean yet a bit outdated. Our neighbors and I could hear extremely loud pipe sounds coming from our shared bathroom walls all night--I swear those things were shrieking. Besides that it was an awesome hotel.

Lovely funky hotel

Fabulous location and a very cool hotel. The room was lovely but the bathroom was quirky and not ideal with only a bath and no shower curtain or window blind. Bed was incredibly comfortable.

Hard to get into the hotel as there was no drop off near the entrance. Entrance was on a busy street and not clearly marked. Elevator was so small it only fit one person and maybe two bags at a time. Smallest elevator I have ever seen—- maybe one meter by one meter in size?

1 block from train station and Notre Dame cathedral. Great restaurant, helpful staff. Loved it!

Staff were welcoming, and there were enough English speaking to help me navigate my way through a foreign country alone. Went out of their way to help arrange transportation for me!

Lovely location, good restaurant, friendly staff, negative was bathroom size and a bit of peeling paint. Also bag drop a bit tricky but that is the nature of the location.

Great location, superb room, extra comfy bed, friendly and helpful staff

The hotel staff were very personable and well informed about the area and events. Each room was perfect. The rooms were spacious, the beds were quite comfortable, and the amenities more than met our needs. There was plenty of variety at breakfast that accommodated every need for our group.

Small rooms and a very small lift. But at least it has a lift. Lovely but very expensive bar with the smallest amount of pastis in a glass I have ever seen. Restaurant served excellent food . Good service and convenient position for old town and as a stop over.

Short stay In Chartres

A modern but charming hotel with excellent facilities. The staff were wonderful, always smiling and helpful. The hotel is situated just a two minute walk from the cathedral and all town centre shops and restaurants. The hotel restaurant was pleasant and the food and service superb. A good breakfast was available each morning in the bar area. Parking was difficult, or expensive if using the cathedral car park but the hotel has a few private reserved spaces in a car park just 50m away which can be used, if available, for a reasonable daily charge.

Perfect location. Close to train station and the center of town for cathedral and amenities

Lovely staff. Room was comfortable if warm. Breakfast was good. Self parking in hotel lot was convenient. We stayed in the regular sized room, not the superior. There was no shower curtain and the shower nozzle was inside a tub. I think people with mobility issues could have trouble with this. Extremely convenient location for viewing the historic old town. 5 Minute Walk to Cathedral.

Superb Location

he hotel is on the spot. Chartres cathedral is a short walk from the hotel. We only stayed one night. Room was modern, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly. We did not experience the breakfast. Safe and secure garaged parking for our motorbike.

No air con in room and it was 40 degrees outside

great service/staff. wish room had a convenient outlet for plugging in devices, mine was located almost behind bed at ankle level. Elevator is extremely small. Good location near train station and cathedral.

Pleasant overnight stay.

The staff were excellent and greatly helpful. The hotel is in a great position... central but not noisy. Value for money?..I would rate it very highly. The bar and the restaurant are excellent and handsomely decorated. If you are in any way impaired the stairs and corridors are narrow and the lift is really only a one person lift. The available parking, although not on site , is very close by ,affordable and secure. Overall we would be happy to book again.

Very nice hotel within easy walking distance of the Cathedral. Parking is close by. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Comfortable beds. Clean and secure rooms. Maintenance is lacking...paint was peeling in the bathroom; tub drain had been broken so that the tub could not hold water. No shower.

Chartres is a great place to explore, see the illuminations, walk around the cathedral and nice restaurants.

Perfect evening in Chartres

Perfect location to the cathedral which you can see from hotel. Friendly staff, perfect breakfast. We had a room booked for 3 but we ended up being 4 so had a suite for no extra charge. Great bar . They told us about the light show on the cathedral that started at 10.30 pm which we did not know about prior. It was spectacular!!

Good location. Hotel lobby nice. Room small no view. Breakfast reasonable for the price. Breakfast room dirty. Parking in secure garage good. Bathroom sink too big for the room shower curtain!! Bed comfortable staff good even though they wete very busy.

Charming small hotel

Charming small hotel conveniently placed between the railway station and the old town - views of Chartres cathedral from some rooms. Excellent buffet breakfast.

Nice hotel with great view

Looking across a nice plaza this hotel-restaurant looks at the West front of Chartres Cathedral. With its own secure parking across the street and well located just outside the old town, this hotel is great for those driving a car.

Great Access to Cathedral

A nice hotel with a location near and view of the great Chartres cathedral. The hotel has no parking but there is a paid public parking area nearby. The hotel staff steered us to a little "train" that goes around the town at night taking in all of the sites that are specially illuminated, many with artistic animations The cathedral is a historic wonder during the day and an amazing canvas at night, with a son et kumiere presentation on its face.

Lovely place to stay in Chartres

This hotel is a comfortable and well located place to stay in Chartres. In sight of the cathedral, it's only a stones' throw from the train station. As a solo traveler, I found it safe and an easy place from which to navigate. The light show on the cathedral was visible from windows of upper floors.

Comfortable hotel in excellent location

We stayed four nights at the Boeuf Couronne. We had a premium room with an amazing view across to Chartres Cathedral. The hotel was very comfortable and clean and in a good location for exploring the old town although rather noisy with traffic nearby. The breakfasts were good with fresh croissants and fruit etc - we didn't use the hotel restaurant as there are so many places to eat in Chartres. Staff were very friendly.

Good value but bedroom disappointing.

We gave the service a good rating because the staff were pleasant. But the hotel closed on spring bank holiday Monday forcing us to transfer to another hotel 50 yards away in a less good location. Bedroom cramped and shabby but the price for the stay was very reasonable.

great location and view of the Cathedral!

Stayed one night to explore Chartres Cathedral and couldn't have been happier with my stay. The hotel was a short walk from the train station and easy to find. The front desk staff were very helpful, from arranging for dinner to helping with the very European elevator (!) to storing my luggage the next morning. The location of the hotel couldn't be more convenient to the Chartres Cathedral, the main attraction in town. And the view of the Cathedral from the hotel is magnificent! Make sure to ask for a room that faces it! But even if not, you can still sit in the bar or have lunch or dinner in the restaurant and enjoy the same beautiful view. The hotel is just a tad worn, but clean everywhere and with loads of charm. This is not a chain hotel! And don't forget to enjoy breakfast in the bar (buffet-style) and lunch and dinner in the restaurant. Delicious food, great service, and wonderful atmosphere, with locals joining you because it's their favorite place! Very grateful for the chef, who accommodated my gluten-free needs with grace. Highly recommend this hotel!

Very friendly and helpful staff. A cute little bar. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from a great selection of restaurants and bars. I would definitely stay again.
