In the middle of rome. However the noise is too much, the staff wasn't that pleasant
Great location
Beautiful building
For the over price I paid for these 2 nights I expected much more Not an old moldy dirty hotel Pictures on Expedia looked stunning, but experience it in real life. It is nothing like the picture I thought Omnia properties have better standers then that
You can't beat this location. Major sites all walkable, & nearby metro for more distant destinations. Room was small but desk staff very pleasant. Breakfast was well worth cost, so overall, superior value
They made us felt welcomed and helped with whatever we needed. They spoke English well so this was not a problem.
Katerina and Giuseppe were absolutely wonderful!
We stayed for 3 nights during one of the hotter times of the year in Rome. The AC is our room did not work and we asked to get another room. The second room smelled of cigarette smoke and we asked them to remove the curtains, which helped some but not completely. The bed mattress was not overly comfortable. The front desk staff were great about helping to find us a doctor who could visit the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel was good and location was nice.
Loved it! Sylvia was amazing!
I got many bed bug bites at one one nights stay in this hotel.
This hotel accommodate us on short notice. The rooms were clean and they offered nice toiletries. Located in a very nice part of Roma walkable to many dining spots.
Room was clean, staff was friendly & great location!
Hotel was perfect! Great location, breakfast was excellent. Staff was very helpful!
close to all attractions
Hotel is a little outdated.
Great location!
Location was amazing. The service they provided was so handled.Very good breakfast and friendly staff
I needed to be close to the U.S. embassy. They had a single bed comfy, clean. Beautiful. The staff at this hotel are amazing. Helpful and kind. Above and beyond. It was a bit noisy on the back side. Roman’s work through the night. Hotel is is a safe area and near the Spanish steps and the Hard Rock Cafe. Beautiful restaurants outside along the street. I ate at almost all of them. Very enjoyable. Thank you to the staff for all of your help with my embassy filing. 😄
Staff were very helpful!
Excellent place for the price. Very close to Metro and most scenic places are walkable. Very good breakfast.
Staff very pleasant good breakfast overall satisfied
Great location. Room very small, dated and scaffolding with workers outside the window kept us from opening windows. did not consider this a 4star hotel
Great location, Nice 4-star hotel
Tired
Hotel needs updating
Location was convenient for walking around and lots of restaurants nearby. Front desk staff not friendly except for the one gentleman that checked us in. Rooms very dated and A/c in rooms didn’t work well. Hand sanitizing stations always empty.
The location is great
Perfect location
The hotel was in a perfect part of Rome close to everything. The breakfast was lovely and the concierge was great. They also upgraded me to a lovely room qith a terrace. I will return to this hotel.
Wonderful hotel with a very nice room and service.
Great price for the money staff very help full will stay here again
Great and Clean hotel in Rome I will stay here one again for sure
Great location. 5min walk to Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. Could've walked to the Colosseum (approx 30min) if the sun wasn't so hot in October! Clean room, friendly staff. We stayed in room 219 and the noise from the street was a problem. There was a trunk loading and off loading between 2-5am overnight. I think it was the laundry trunk and deliveries for the hotel. For this I have to mark down the hotel. We didn't ask to move as we were there for a long weekend and it seemed more of a hassle to move rooms although in retrospect we should've done so as by the third night of no sleep it wasn't pleasant.
Great location and lovely hotel
Incredible!
I loved this hotel! My room was huge! The bed was so comfortable. A 10-minute walk to the Trevi Fountain. Breakfast was also delicious!
I specifically filtered my search to find a hotel with a pool. Very few hotels came up - all of them pricey. Imperiale’s page said they had a pool - but they didn’t. Turns out there were a lot of hotels with pools for a much lower price in the area. Very disappointing. Their page also said their rooms were family friendly/ well soundproofed, however we could hear our neighbors’ every word as though they were in our room! Multilingual staff was great though. Breakfast was pretty nice except for the gray coffee. We had to go outside and pay extra for a good cup of coffee.
It was excellent would not change a thing, will definitely stay here again.
We liked the location as it is near many of the historic Roman sites and quite walkable. There are many restaurants and cafes. The hotel rooms are small. The air conditioner works well and the beds are comfortable but small. Only 1 elevator for the 6 stories. Bathroom is small like most European ones with not much room for toiletries.
Just felt so Italian! Perfect city centre authentic hotel, right down to the pink marble bathroom. Not huge but perfect base for sight-seeing. Comfy bed, good air-con. Lovely tohave shutters in both bedroom and bathroom.
A/C not adequate
The people were all wonderful. The room itself was so warm. We went when Rome had a heat wave of 90’s . The room was uncomfortably hot at check in. The bell hop adjust the temp and said the numbers do t work and there is only one setting for cold. It wasn’t cold it was cool at best, no fans so we were uncomfortable during the night. Thankfully it was just one night we stayed!
Excellent breakfast, kind and helpful personnel . Their restaurant “Gazebo “ had a tasty menu.
The staff is very friendly and the location is nice, very centralized to some of the Roman sites. However, the room was older and really needed some updates. There was even some old mold in the shower's corners and it was a bit dusty. Just needs to be renovated and more attn by housekeeping. I can see at one time, maybe in the late 90s this could've been a wonderful property to stay in. Would'nt recommend for a long visit.
Very well located, the staff was polite, knowledgeable and friendly.
This hotel stay was more about location than anything. Nothing spectacular.
No air conditioner. Had to beg to get it to put on. Small facility old out dated couldn’t open the door to get into bathroom hit the toilet bowl. Off the beaten path- Not as described
Nice hotel in an excellent location. Rooms are a bit small.
Good location, bad hotel.
Old, outdated, felt dirty, ac didn’t work
Family time
Great location! Close to a metro! Great buffet breakfast! Reasonably priced, only 9 Euros!
good location - but rather tired looking hotel rooms need updating rather noise hotel especially room 216 - situated on the road side
Excellent! We have stayed there 4 times so far. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They know us by name now, and the location could not be better. Literally either steps or minutes from any possible point of interest in central Rome. We can't wait to go back.
Clean and great location
My parents stayed one week, at my recommendation (my husband and I stayed there last year), but their experience was quite different. First, the concierge ,are a point to tell them upon check-in that they head the cheapest room and therefore the breakfast was not included. Then, the room was very cold, and no thermostat in the room. My parents asked several people for 2 days, until finally someone made the adjustment remotely. Overall the quality of service and care was way down from my experience, which was quite disappointing. The location remains the best feature here.
Superb hotel location for Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps - less than 10 minutes walk to each. Excellent restaurants in area. Hotel staff very friendly and willing to help.
Nice location and a great experience in the hotel.
Good location, close to station and within walking distance of lots of attractions. Hotel a bit dated but clean and pleasant
Fabulous hotel in excellent location
Hotel very close to the Trevi fountain, Spanish Steps and Villa Borghese, yet far enough away so you aren’t caught in the tourist crush as soon as you walk out into the street. Room cleanliness and size was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes which were all very well presented. The dining room was spacious and well set out so that you never felt pressured to leave or hemmed in at busy times. Overall I would highly rate this hotel and recommend to provide a comfortable stay when in Rome. One minor point was that the hotel didn’t have any ironing facilities so either do as I do and adopt the creased look or as my wife did and improvise with hair straighteners, or take a travel iron.
Very comfortable hotel in an outstanding very central location,
The hotel was clean, staff friendly and helpful. The location was perfect. The only fault was there was no iron or ironing board in the room. The hotel provides a service for a fee for ironing.
We booked this while in Rome the day before because the hotel we checked into was gross, had no elevator to get in, had trash in the hallways and a huge cockroach in the entryway-but thats a whole other review. I highly recommend Hotel Imperial and would stay there again.
Rating is much higher in expedia than reality..........
good location, thats it
overrated, very very small room for the price you pay poor decor and room facilities tired looking building excellent location friendly staff bathroom facilities very very poor breakfast boring
Great hotel in a great location
Great hotel in a great location within walking distance to many historic attraction, restaurants and shopping district. I stayed at Hotel Imperiale for business last year and decided to bring my family back for a vacation trip to Rome. The only reason I'm not giving the rating 5 stars overall is that we did not get the room we had requested for all 4 of us so we ended up in 2 separate rooms which upset the kids.
Good location to explore Rome
The hotel reception is nice an clean though the room was disappointing. Breakfast wasn’t the best either very little choice. We ordered breakfast in our room on our last morning and let’s just say it was the worst we’ve ever had. Two plates piled high with scrambled eggs, the first had clearly been microwaved and the second was ice cold mush. The hotel itself has only had the foyer updated, get into the back where breakfast is served and it’s all a little dated. The bedroom that we had was very much the same. Wooden floors and a TV that had very little by way of English speaking channels unless you just want to watch the news on repeat. If you need a hotel just to crash at night this place is fine. More of a 2-3 star.
This hotel is situated in an excellent location in Rome, close to every major attraction , and shopping area. Staff is friendly, and rooms are decent. All together a very good option in Rome.
Happy with our 3 night stay.
To celebrate our 25th Anniversary we stayed for 3 nights before leaving on a cruise. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the Via Veneto (we paid extra to the hotel for the upgrade). It was lovely. The staff were very helpful and polite, they responded in a friendly manner to every question we had. The breakfast which was included in the price was fine, better than having to go elsewhere to eat. We didn’t eat in their restaurant for dinner/lunch so cannot comment. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. I had thought that the hotel might have noted our special occasion with chocolates or wine but they did not. The hotel is in a nice location, good for touring the city and it felt safe. It was not very noisy.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Imperiale. It’s in a great location within walking distance to many of the sites and the street it’s on is gorgeous. The breakfast was great and we loved the restaurant.
give it a go
Excellent location and good food.
Great hotel in Rome
The hotel is excellent! Located next to the famous sites, great shopping and metro. The hotel staff were helpfuland nice. Always keen to help and make our stay memorable. We will come back to this hotel for sure!
Hotel location is centrally located in an upmarket part of Rome’s city centre. Thus convenient for access to city sites and shopping. Rooms are dated and although ok it’s not four star in quality. The floor in the room was dusty but the bathroom was clean and functional. Hotel staff courteous and professional. If the rooms were a little better put together and breakfast consisted of a freshly made coffee barista style rather than a self-service machine like our break room has at work then I would say it would be a far better experience.
Good location but horrible bathroom!!
We stay in Rome for 4 nights at this hotel. The room was ok with a nice view but the bathroom has to be most uncomfortable bathroom I have seen in a hotel,it was small, the door couldn’t be open all the way because the toilet was on the way,the tub was really high to get in.If you were overweight or elderly you couldn’t use this bathroom.the only thing that save the stay was that it was located in a nice street next to the metro and some of the tourist attractions.
When we first arrived, they tried to give us a room in a basement style room. After complaining, we were moved to a different room. The new room's bathroom was VERY small. The AC did not work most of our stay. When you called and complained, they said "we will fix it" and it was never fixed. When you call again, they would be rude about it. On the night before our checkout, I had requested a shuttle to the airport at 6am. When arriving to the front desk at 5:45am, it turned out that they made a mistake and requested a shuttle at 6PM so we had to pay extra to go by taxi. I was very disappointed.
Great centrally located hotel but the rooms are small and if you're an expedia elite member don't expect recognition on this "VIP" hotel.
Location was very good
Close to shopping area and historical building access to metro and public transportation.
No Complaints
This was a decent hotel at which I stayed for 8 nights. Clean, good sized room and washroom with good water pressure in the shower, a/c functioned well, good breakfast selections. minimal toiletries provided so bring your own body wash etc. Metro station outside the door which is convenient however this hotel was not close enough to the areas I enjoyed visiting in the evenings like campo di fiori and trastevere and for that reason I wouldn't return.
We truly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Imperiale, Rome. The room was beautiful with a nice view of the Via Veneto. The three large windows that opened onto the street were wonderful. We opened them for a while and got such a beautiful Italian breeze. The bathroom was large and very nice. The location of this hotel was perfect. We were able to walk to so many sights and restaurants, including your restaurant where we celebrated our 46th anniversary. The food was delicious and the service was above reproach. The breakfast was always very well prepared and a very nice start to the day. The waitress and waiters were very accommodating. The whirlpool tub was a perfect ending to a stressful, long touring day. We would come back again and definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family. WONDERFUL!!!
Great location
We had a room for four people. Two adults two kids. Very big room considered we are in Central Rome. Walked 5 km out and pretty much cover entire Rome tourist spots. Plenty of good restaurant within 10 minutes walk. Safe, quiet, opposite to a museum. Staff and services are adequate.
Hotel and location very good
Booked my room on orbitz. After arriving , checking in and settling someone on staff told me I was not in the correct room. I told him I was and proved it with copies of my booking. He still proceeded to try to get me to move to a much smaller room without a balcony. Again, proved my booking. Still tried to tell me the room I was in was much more expensive. They must have double booked my room at a higher price. After going back and forth, for quite some time, he gave up. Staff not friendly or helpful.
Visit to Rome.
This was a last minute trip and we chose this hotel. It was great really. Good location, fair price, wonderful breakfast and a very accommodating staff.
Great location in Rome
The hotel was lovely and the staff were great. Location of the hotel was brilliant, very central and right next to the metro. would have been better with an actual double bed, preferably without wheels, but we would definitely stay there again.
Excellent location!
This hotel is in a great location for exploring the city. It is an easy walk (20-30 minutes) to many major sights that we wanted to visit, and there is a convenient subway stop just a few doors down for visiting places further away. There is quite a bit of traffic on the road in front of the hotel but we did not find that it interfered with our sleep at all. It was not too loud for having the window open when we were there during the day. The hotel staff was very friendly and they seemed to take great care in keeping the hotel clean. The room was good sized compared to others I have seen in Europe. The bed was a little harder than I would like but that is my only complaint about the room. There is a free breakfast buffet with many options in the morning. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
location,in the heart of rome!
Great hotel,historic area,courteous staff,wifi and breakfast good.
Ideal for Our City Break
Perfect base for our short trip to Rome. The hotel was clean and efficient. Helpful staff and bellboy. Nice free cooked breakfast, The room had everything we needed and although a little small it was good value for money.
Nice Hotel But Noisy
This hotel is located in a good location and has a nice lobby. We stayed in room 219 and the room was well laid out and very clean. Everything started well. Overnight, however, was a different story. The room was incredibly warm and we couldn’t get the air conditioning to cool the room down. It seemed that the heat was on but couldn’t be adjusted. Our room seemed to be on top of some restaurant or bar where live music was playing until midnight. The staff were making noise and clearing dishes until past 2 am and then at 4:30 am delivery trucks started to arrive. It was our only night in Rome and we didn’t sleep at all. I don’t know if all rooms are as noisy but it would be advisable to avoid room 219.
Very convenient
The hotel is conveniently located a few steps from Piazza Barberini metro stop on Via Veneto. From there you can easily reach Vatican City, the Colosseum, and well worth the trip, Basilica of Saint Paul. The Villa Borghese and the Spanish Steps are a 10 minute walk from the hotel. There a lot going on around the Piazza Barberini, so there's never a lack of good food and fun.
Excellent service by reception staff, excellent location and great food. I would highly recommend this hotel for business travelers. I only wish the hotel had a fitness center.
Perfect location.
Right in the thick of things. Walking distance to all shops, restaurants and transportation. Rooms are a little small but aside from that we had no complaints. Will absolutely stay here again when we come back to Rome.
Lovely hotel, perfectly situated on Via Veneto.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff; located half-block from subway; walking distance from shopping & dining.
overall good small room and bed was hard
satisfactory
Well located hotel
This hotel is well located on Via Veneto in Rome. Rooms are small to US Standards. Hotel staff is very accommodating if possible to make sure you have a pleasant stay. Food at their restaurant was very good, which we used a couple of times. There are many other restaurants near by, walking distance from the hotel.
Return visit; love the hotel and location
Enjoyed staying here so much a few years ago so chose the imperiale again. Very satisfied again this time with the hotel and the location.
Hotel close to the Spanish Steps
I took the Leonardo Express train from the airport to Termini Station. The hotel was conveniently located, it was two stops on the Metro from Termini Station (Line A), then less then a 10 minute walk to the Spanish Steps, there is no need to get on a hop-on bus you can walk to all the sites the Vatican was a 30 minute walk away. The hotel when you first enter looks grandeur with the white and purple but the theme doesn't carry on throughout the hotel. Unfortunately I ended up with a room that could be connected to another room so felt like I was sharing with whomever was next door, thereby meaning the rooms aren't soundproof as advertised. I paid for breakfast in my rate, unfortunately I didn't rate the breakfast and ended up for my remaining time there going out to get a coffee and pastry which is easy enough to do.
In good location close to Spanish Steps and almost everything is walkable. Staff were friendly, room was tight but was fine.
Nice hotel very good localization.
We stayed for three nights and were very happy that we had chosen this hotel. Very nice and helpful staff. Excellent localization. Good restaurants closed by. Loved to walk Via Veneto. We gladly recommend this hotel and hope to visit it again!
Mediocre hotel in great location
The staff are very nice and the hotel is in a great location, but it is very basic and our room didn't feel that clean.
Convenient for Trevi fountain and Spanish steps
We spent 3 nights here. The room was relatively small but ok. Breakfast was good and a lot better than anticipated. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.
great location, friendly service, good sized clean room, poor breakfast
Very clean and good location. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room and shower were a little small but that is to be expected in Rome
No expedia VIP treatment obtained. At check in the lady checking me in was super rude. When I asked for connecting rooms she blasted on me saying that they were full. The gentlement named Enzo was very helpful instead. But still, no VIP treatment.
good location to some attractions
We were there just for one night. Clean and great furnishings. Close to Trevi fountain, Spanish steps and shopping. Metro station right there and you can get to Vatican or other attractions really easily and with in 5 mins.
Hotel imperiale was a great hotel for what we paid for. The location was excellent and the staff very helpful. I would definitely stay there again with pleasure and recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to break the bank but wants to be in the middle of everything!!
very nice hotel
Walking distance to metro, hardrock, us embassy, Spanish steps...good location

Location is excellent— it is a few minutes walk from several tourist attractions and there is a bus stop and metro station at a minute’s walk. Several restaurants too. Room was big with large windows, everything was clean. The bathroom was a bit cramped and everything is a bit old, but again, clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.
