Was a nice quiet area and the views were nice
Can You Keep a Secret?
It was a stopover on way home from Seoul / Osaka. Fantastic location with very convenient subway station 3 min walk away with great connections to other major lines. Great views over the Palace Gardens & "supersized" room for Tokyo. Good breakfast available & comfortable bar with good value happy hour.
Such a beautiful view from the rooms here. The quality of the hotel for the price is exceptional. The breakfast was nice everyday with three selections to choose from too. Friendly staff helped with luggage forwarding and made everything easy. Also very close to take the subway/trains from 3 min walk away. Plus comfortable beds and daily housekeeping service!!! Loved this stay.
Didn't like the restrictive breakfast options. We have traveled to 20 different countries around the world and this is the only hotel that charges coffee when selecting a Japanese breakfast. Coffee should be free, regardless of the option.
I like the close proximity to Hanzomon station to get to Shibuya & a couple of sopa noodle restaurants within walking distance. I don’t like the 6 flights of stairs without any escalator to exit from Hanzomon train station, when we have luggages to carry upon check in & check out. I don’t like to dirty sink counter.
Fantastic First Trip to Tokyo
Trip was amazing, The Grand Arc Hanzomon was a perfect to rest and plan our stay. Hotel is near the station and has taxis that come by regularly. Atmosphere was soothing and they provide us excellent service and accommodations.
The Deluxe twin room, 17th floor, park side, had a wonderful view, was spacious and impeccably clean. The hotel was an easy walk to the office, so location to where I needed to be was very convenient. Because I do not speak Japanese, I asked one of the receptionists to make a dinner reservation for me. They were unable to accommodate my request, which I found surprising. I was not able to understand the explanation as to why doing so was not possible. It worked out as the restaurant did accommodate us without the reservation, but mostly because we arrived before they opened and were the third person on line. Other than this issue, I really enjoyed staying at this hotel.

The hotel was immaculate! Staff was friendly, courteous , and very professional. The hotel is across the street from the Imperial Palace and everything is walkable.
The hotel has a very good location, close to one of the train stations. The room was small but it got a great view. The staff was very nice, polite and accommodating. I'll book again this hotel if I'll visit Tokyo.
Great staff and location
The hotel staff is superb and very accommodating. The location is great although there are not many restaurants in the immediate area. Lastly, the room was small but adequate for a party of 4.
Everything is good.
Great Tokyo Hotel
Great staff and service. Convenient location for your stay in Tokyo.
The location was superb! And the staff was very helpful and kind
Great location, staff & hotel overall. The rooms are on the smaller side (as with many in Tokyo) but it was the perfect hotel for our stay. The room has everything you need and more, and the bath amenities are great. Breakfast was also included and good. 3-5 min walk from metro station, overall great place.
Thank you!
The room got really humid every time we got back from outside. But everything else easy really comfortable and nice!
Casual Elegant and Relaxed
The hotel has a great location, the ambient and feel in the hotel is elegant but relaxed, rooms are comfortable, we got a room with a view, definitely recommended. And what the breakfast buffet was amazing!! Would stay again there for sure!!
Just as a note if youre booking a Japanese style room, the beds will be laid out each evening and pack away during the day. So if youre looking for an afternoon nap, you may just end up lying on the tatami mats. This is pretty standard for these kinds of rooms though.
The people there are super friendly and helpful.
Rooms with a great view
Nice room, good view.
Great view!
nice place
The staff were very friendly
Everything is good, staff is helpful, efficient and polite. Only thing is the room is on the small side. But then it’s bright and the view is excellent.
Amazing view of the Imperial Palace grounds. Walkable to the Imperial Palace. Hotel is very clean and well managed. Staff is always ready to help.
Walkable and close to underground rails. Also not too far to the Ginza street.
It’s very convenient located , the hotel is very clean and the staff very helpful.
I love the atmosphere and the view from our room was very nice, close to the palace.
I would give 4 stars this hotel. Very clean/ kindness staff. Locations are great. Easy access to subway.
I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent value of this hotel. The staff is very helpful. Best deal in Tokyo!
Staff was super nice and the Japanese Style room was a great experience!
Grand setting of the hotel front entrance gives a good image and guest welcoming atmosphere.
Amazing experience, staff very well prepared and best location for hotel. The double room itself was clean and perfect for two people and the price was the best.
This is an excellent hotel, reasonably priced, located in a convenient but less crowded part of Tokyo in Chiyoda, near the Imperial Palace. Facilities are well-maintained, and staff are exceptional. Reserve a room with Imperial Palace and garden views. The one bed doubles tend to be on the small side, suitable for a single. For a couple reserve a larger twin bedded room. The closest subway station is a five minute walk with direct connections to Shibuya and Tokyo Skytree, and one change to Tokyo Station. There is a choice of American or Japanese breakfast, served, not buffet style.
Very nice hotel!! Super recommended!!
it was close to Hanzomon Metro and the Imperial garden
Wonderful
Nice and convinient
Great view from my room.
A great place to stay in Tokyo
The restaurant staff were so very attentive and gracious. Very customer service oriented!!!
Nice a bit far from Tokyo station B+ recommended a bit far to Tokyo station, great Imperial palace and city view
Great week in Tokyo!
My husband and I would like to thank the entire staff for a wonderful stay in Central Tokyo! We were impressed by the outstanding comfort, food and service during our entire stay. We will wholeheartedly recommend your hotel to all our friends and colleagues! Sincerely, Marina & Nick Jaworsky
Good location near to the metro and with city views. Good size rooms for Tokyo.
Nothing particularly special about this hotel other than being close to the Imperial Palace. It was surprising how late the maids came to clean the rooms—I needed to call the front desk to get maid service before 3:30 PM. The breakfast servers were nice, but the breakfast was just so so. I was glad I could speak Japanese fairy well; not everyone at the hotel could speak English.
Great location with city views and imperial palace
Great location. Comfortable rooms, clean and with friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.
Very safe location. Great view. Subway stations are very close. Over all a very good place to enjoy your stay in Tokyo
Near the Amazing castle
Nice clean and tidy hotel and very near the castle and it’s grounds. Staff were good and beds were comfy, breakfast was a bit not great.
Excellent hotel. Great Value. Typhoon-proof
Really great location and value for money. Each room seems to have a view of the edge of the imperial palace grounds/park. A green view pretty unusual in Tokyo. 2 minute walk from subway station. Room (twin) was pretty big also Great value compared to others. Looked after us in Typhoon Hagibis.
Enjoy the stay at Grand Atc Hanzomon
Our stay at the Grand Arc Hanzomon was pleasant. Beautiful view of the river from our room. The hotel staffs were friendly. We will return to this hotel next time when we return to Tokyo.
Our room had an amazing view of the imperial palace gardens. The room was big and the bathroom was one of the biggest we saw in Japan. The only thing we didn't like was the fact that there's close to nothing next to the hotel. Only 2 restaurants and a convenience store. Not a lot of options.
Older style, but clean and comfortable
This is an older style hotel, there is no buffet breakfast, only a choice of continental or American, so it lacks the choices of buffet styles at other hotels. However, the rooms are lovely, we stayed in twin rooms, and they were bigger than usual, with room to sit and a separate area with a sink and mirror outside the bathroom (which already had the same). The hotel is in a quiet part of town, but very close to the station, convenience stores and an small assortment of restaurants/cafes, it is about a 15 minute walk to Akasaka where there are lots of places to eat. We were there for five nights and did not regret our choice, sure it is probably 3 star, but it was comfortable, clean and the staff were great and helped us out with everything we needed. We had a lovely view of the palace gardens and really enjoyed our stay. Oh, a word of warning about the TV channels...be careful as you scroll through, some of the channels are a bit raunchy to say the least!
Lovely hotel. Stunning view. Really helpful staff. Excellent location.
The room was just very cramped and could have been laid out different, but was fine for a single night. Would have been more difficult for more.
Very clean hotel and friendly staff. The location is close to a subway station and is quiet at night.
Rooms are a little small but larger than other hotels in the same range. The hotel's location was superb!
Decent and worthwhile to stay
Overall decent hotel
Front desk staff and waitress in restaurant are very polite. Room is clean and good functionality
Great if you are ok with not being in the heart of the action. Only downside was location in that it was a bit awkward for getting around as it was always an extra transfer on the metro. Also not a lot of restaurant options nearby.
The hotel was very clean, a train ride away from Tokyo’s downtown area. Close to parks and Imperial Theatre. Reasonably priced.
Excellent place to stay in Tokyo, close to everything,
The location is excellent with plenty of convenience stores and places to eat everywhere. The housekeeping is excellent.
Easy access to trains and eateries. This hotel I believe is more targeted to business people. I thought the price was a bit high for what I had, this may be because it was across the street from the Imperial Palace.
Hotel se situe près de Palais imperial. Vue de la chambre de 11 étage est superbe.
Bigger rooms compared to what we had stayed in for a similar price and a nice window view
Excellent service. Great help From Saito. She extremely nice and helpful. Now we come back to California with good memories from Japan :)
Great location away from the city centre but still very close by metro. The metro stop is only a 3 minute walk from the hotel. Had a great view from our room of the palace garden and the city-I think it helped make the room feel not so small
The room was clean and the staff was helpful even though we didn’t speak the language. The room is a bit small even for 2 people but the view from the room was very nice.
Very nice! Well located. Great views, the room is a bit small but somehow has everything you need
Restful Landing Spot
Grand Arc Hanzomon turned out to be a peaceful resting spot for a first visit to Tokyo. Relatively good access to the inner city by subway or bus, but out of the immediate hustle and bustle. Staff were gracious and helpful with all questions. Enjoyed the nice view acrosss the Imperial Palace grounds --- with nightlights beyond. Overall, good value !!
Great for the price quiet area closed to subway restaurant and market
Nice area. Loate near Hanzomon station not far from Shibuya
I really like Japanese style room and the futon was set up during turn down.
Great location -this hotel is literally 5 min to the imperial gardens, also super close to the underground and to lots of convenience stores and coffee places and restaurants. The room was very small (no space even for suitcases!) but overal comfortable. Great bath!
Good. Bit outdated but service was good. Staff didnt speak english that well, but were helpful
We are repeat customers stayed at this hotel before, great hotel, wonderful Japanese Washoku and continental western breakfast choices, though we always eat Japanese food, awesome super friendly staff specially house keeping crew and super easy , fantastic location only 10 minutes train right to Tokyo station, and only 5 minutes ride from Hanzomon train station to the hotel, we got a room looking the Imperial park and castle, as clear views to Tokyo tower and Japan's DIET parliament, gorgeous view of the city, great eateries and Japanese Izakayas, excellent location to get everywhere in Tokyo. Will go back again.
the room was very tiny and the location was a long walk from the Ginza with not much around the hotel. otherwise, the price was good and the staff friendly
Premium location for runners.
It was quite nice stay in Tokyo. I’ll stay again I’m sure...
Tokyo stay
Compact in size but with all the required facilities expected. Convenient location near the Imperial Palace. A good choice.
Stay at Arc Hotel
Limited facilities for a family, breakfast should have been buffet not a la carte
Nice hotel close to the subway station
Comfy hotel with high standard cleanness. 5 mins walk from Hanzomon station and very convenient to excess to other places in Tokyo.
Had a great experience. Hotel was in a nice quiet area. Subway access close by. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was nice and very clean. The restaurant on the main level was good. Would definetly reccomend this hotel.
Close to Public Transport
My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Grand Arc Hanzomon twice during our trip to Japan at the start and end on our holiday. On our first stay we had a very small room with the bde against the wall which made getting up during the night difficult as I sleep on that side. But on our return we had a twin bed room which was large and include a small table and 2 chairs and a large bathroom for Japan hotel. So rooms vary. Great breakfast variety, café open all day and food and drinks. The hotel is less than a 5 minute walk to Hanzomon train station which can link you to any where in Tokyo using the Tokyo metro system. It is also only a few stops from Tokyo station, and many of the interchange stations. Download the Tokyo Metro app and the train system is at your finger tips.
Good location and very good value for money
Perfect location
In a quiet area but very central location. Wonderful view over the Imperial Palace.
Great location close to subway Great breakfast with very friendly staff
Beautiful hotel located in Central Tokyo was perfect for a quick getaway.
Location good. But rooms too small and very regimented operations with no special services.
Would absolutely stay again
Great location by subway station with easy access to Shinjuku, Shibuya and Asakusa. Room well sized for being in Japan. Would definitely stay again.
Nice view from the room
Not too small room with a nice park view. Clean room but the mattress a bit too hard for me other than that everything was fine.
Another great stay and Grand Arc
I have stayed at this hotel several times. It is a nice classy comfortable hotel and very good value for money considering central Tokyo. Staff are always friendly, helpful and efficient. Lovely views from the windows across imperial palace gardens, Diet Busing, National Theatre and across to Tokyo Tower. Rooms are a really nice size. Hanzomon underground station conveniently links to Shibuya and Tokyo main station. Touches like ice bucket in room and ice dispensers near vending machines is great. Would highly recommend!
Ok tatami bed was good very restful. Hotel a little outdated. A couple of trains transfer to go to Haneda airport
Generally good
Rooms spacious by Tokyo standards. Amazing view from 17th floor. Everything as described, quiet location but nearby to good transport links and public park. BUT there was a a strong smell of cigarette smoke despite being in a non smoking room on a non smoking floor.
Posh hotel. Location isn’t quite the best-amidst more formal establishments—but nice high quality hotel.
Super quiet, clean and overall gorgeous hotel.
Great location, fantastic staff, great arteries and izakayas in walking distance, fantastic imperial garden and Tokyo tower views, wonderful restaurant and super awesome staff, will go back again and highly recommended
my 4th stay at the grand arc hanzomon and once again a very pleasant experience. the staff are all very friendly and helpful especially the lovely bar staff who always have time to make you feel very welcome. this is primarily a japanese business hotel so don't expect a swimming pool or gym, but for me it's position above tokyo with views across the city and the imperial palace gardens, make the walk up from tokyo central very worth while. unfortunately the breakfast (that is their american breakfast), is very expensive for what you get and you are better sourcing a breakfast from a nearby cafe or shop. many places in tokyo offer a "breakfast set" which is always good value.
Great place
Very helpful and friendly staff who spoke enough English. Clean rooms and nice look to the lobby.. Good restaurant.
Family vacation
First time trying Japanese-style room. Not something I would do again
Nice 3-night stay
Loved my room, the view, the comfort, the convenience, and the breakfast.
