Lovely area

Half board food was great! Rooms clean and large. Lots of parking options (including garage for a few). Spa was fantastic

Lush views, breath taking, but the hotel needs a bit of touch up, fact that won't affect your stay so I would give a 8 out of 10 to the hotel

Nice Pool, Great views, Poor sleep.

Beautiful scenery. Pool was nice (and warm). One complaint though: The extra bed (converted sofa) was of such poor quality. Never tried anything like it. Just not good enough when you take the cost into account.

Good base for exploring Hohe Tauern National Park

We opted to stay at Hotel Goldried so that we had easy access to The Hohe Tauern National Park. After a delayed flight to Innsbruck we did not arrive at the hotel until just before 9.00 pm but were able to get a simple bite to eat in smaller of the two restaurants. The breakfast was plentiful and with a good choice. We opted to use the garage at the bottom of the hotel which was accessed via a funicular carriage which was reasonable value at €4.00 per day. All the reception staff spoke good English so the language barrier was non-existent :-)

One night stay

My friends and I arrived late and I was worried that check in wouldn't go smooth. The woman working was very sweet and wonderfully charming. The room was amazing with plenty of room and amenities. The view was awesome as well.

Pretty hotel overlooking quaint town

The hotel is older, but clean and rustic. It was confusing trying to find our way to reception which is at the top of the hill, then finding our actual room. We could have been given better directions. Dinner at the hotel was good and the view from our room was beautiful. Only disappointment was no coffee or tea in the room, so we went to breakfast at the hotel the next morning, which had a nice buffet.

We expected a room for the night, we got a suite

The suite contained separate bedroom, kitchen/living area w fireplace, bathroom w sauna, and water closet. The living and bedrooms each had a bay window overlooking the town of Matrei in Osttirol, charming is an understatement. The restaurant served probably one of the best steaks I ever had in Europe and the staff were all very friendly and helpful to us American travelers. Our only regret was not staying more than one night.

You'll need a map to get around

The most confusing hotel to get around in I've ever stayed in. To the point you'll need a map. Staff weren't as helpful as I'd like but not bad. It's an adventure not in a totally good way

Lovely Spot in the Austrian Alps

Hotel Goldried sits above Matrei in Osttirol and offers great views of the valley and town. While part of the main complex, our room felt like a clean, pleasant cabin in the Alps with some modern touches. If you've driving, make sure to keep an eye out for signs as getting up to the main lodge to check-in requires a few twists and turns up the road. It's a fairly quick walk, and even quicker drive, to get into the heart of the town from Goldried. Service was very friendly across the board, and all staff we encountered spoke English. Everything about the hotel and Matrei was so charming.

Great stay

We only stayed one night before heading up to the mountains in the park. Beds were comfortable, food was good, not too much more to ask for!

Venice Trip

A stopover on the way over the Alps. Payed for full board, this was in a separate dining room. I would recommend you just take breakfast ( very good ) and use the restaurant for a meal of your choice. Choice of inside and outside swimming pools. Plenty of parking , a free area as well as a payment garage. Hotel built on the side of a steep hill so beware. All in an ideal stop. Will be an awesome destination for winter sports.

Nice Hotel with amazing views

It was an excellent stay. We booked an apartment in this Hotel. The facilities were amazing. Washer Drier, Small Kitchen with appliances and even our own Sauna. Plus they had a nice bar for evening drinks. We were also very pleased with the view. Highly Recommended

Great mountain view in Austria

Great location. Brief walk to village and beautiful views of mountains and valley.

Hotel with many amenities, close to Hohe Tauern

The Hotel Goldried is part of a fairly confusing resort complex up on a hill. We had a hard time finding the hotel entrance and where to park. After speaking with reception, we parked in a hotel parking garage that was very difficult to navigate (particularly if you had a larger vehicle) because it was so narrow. The hotel has a lot of amenities, including two swimming pools (one outdoor and one indoor), a pool table, a piano bar, two restaurants and a (sadly dilapidated) outdoor Ping Pong table. Upon check-in, we were given tickets for free drinks at the piano bar. The breakfast was very good, extensive with a lot of variety and both hot and cold items. We also ate at one of the hotel's two restaurants for dinner. We were given free mini appetizers (amuse bouche) as well as free aperitifs at the end of our meal. However, we were also charged for tap water after we were told it would be free. Our room was of a good size and average cleanliness. It was somewhat worn and needed some updating. It had a good size patio with a view of the town below and the mountains.

Ja die Zimmer sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Für 170 EUR die Nacht außerhalb der Saison fanden wir die Ausstattung mit Boiler und Wanne mit Duschvorhang nicht besonders ansprechend. Das Zimmer war ganz am Ende mit einem MiniBalkon. Das Personal war durchweg sehr nett. Die Küche auch super. Frühstück sehr gut. Der Wellnessbereich ist sehr schön. Etwas wenig Liegen.

Stort hotel med fantastisk beliggenhed i bjergene og super faciliteter. Halvpension - meget lækker aftensmad og morgenmad Stort værelse med altan og den smukkeste udsigt. Fin parkering i lukket garage.

Sehr schön, zum 6. mal hier gewesen!

Essen sehr lecker und Personal super freundlich. Zimmer könnten ein Update vertragen. Schade, dass an nur einem Tag der Saunaaufenthalt inklusive ist. War aus der Hotelbeschreibung / Buchungsbestätigung nicht ersichtlich.

War ein sehr schöner Urlaub, Unterkunft war gut mit Bahn/Bus erreichbar und wir konnten auch ohne Auto schöne Ausflüge machen. Essen war sehr lecker! Gab einmal Buffet (Themenabend) und sonst Salat Buffet und 3 Gänge. Beim Hauptgericht konnte man jeden Morgen zwischen einem mit Fleisch, einem mit Fisch und einem vegetarischen wählen. Spa Bereich war inklusive und sehr, sehr schön. Zimmer waren ok, Föhn würde ich beim nächsten mal einen eigenen mitbringen. Die überdecke und zusätzlichen Kissen waren nicht ganz sauber und rochen komisch.

Fantastisk udsigt

Fantastisk lokation. Vi ankom gående og så hvor høj stigning der var op til hotellet. Men der var en lift lige til døren. Dejligt. Vi havde booket to nætter på forskellige værelser , men igennem to forskellige hjemmesider. I receptionen var hotelmutter venlig og vi fik samme værelse begge nætter alligevel. Hele pool området var nyt og moderne indrettet. Udsigten fra pool område og restaurant var virkelig flot.

Appartement bien situé pour visiter le Grossglockner en téléphérique. Belle piscine intérieure et extérieure avec solarium. Dans l’appartement le sofa convertible n’est pas du tout confortable pour dormir. L’accès au balcon n’est pas pratique avec la porte qui est bloquée par le lit. Accueil correct à la réception mais manque d’information sur la localisation de l’appartement et du parking dédié.

Skidsemester v6

Vi bokade hotellet flera månader innan ankomst, efter goda rekomendationer från vänner. Men när vi anlände till hotellet så fanns där ingen bokning, hade jag inte haft med mig min bekräftelse så hade vi inte fått något rum, vems felet var vet jag inte, ingen rolig början på semestern i alla fall. Hotellet ordnade dock ett rum till oss, det låg 3 trappor ner utan tillgång till hiss, någon städning av rummet fick vi inte förrän vi gick till receptionen och klagade. Vi var här för en skidsemester och hade hört att det var ett ski in / ski out hotell men det kan man väl inte kalla det då man fick åka skidbussen till liften och traska upp för en lång väg tillbaka till hotellet efter att man kommit ner från pisten 200m därifrån. Vi trodde också att det skulle finnas bättre restaurang på hotellet, men endast en enkel restaurang med några få rätter fanns att tillgå. De flesta på hotellet bokade nog med halvpension och åt kvällsbuffe, men vi gillar a la carte, så det fick bli att gå till byn. Vi var här i en vecka och hade soligt och varmt väder med fina pister och mysigt tirolerliv, så när vi åkte hem hade vi glömt bort den hemska ankomsten...

-Sehr schöner Spa Bereich Aber der beiden Pools doch wirklich etwas kalt -Essen im Restaurant war wirklich ok -Sehr veraltete Familien Apartments - für 3 Sterne ok.

Bra hotell. Värt att besöka.

Hotellet bjuder på fin utsikt över bergen. Tillgång till många vandringsleder i närområdet. Beläget i en fin natur. En omfattande renovering av bla poolmråde pågår. Lite rörigt kring detta men man kan se att det kommer bli fantastiskt när det blir klart. Inomhuspoolen var klar och i bruk. Åt mat i hotellets restaurang, bra service och god mat. Bagaget måste transporteras en sträcka från garaget, så väskor med hjul är att föredra. Bra service och vänlig, hjälpsam personal.

訪ねて良かった

レンタカーでインスブルックからザルツブルクへ移動する途中で利用しました。 景色も良く、部屋も広く、ホテルスタッフも親切でした。 レストランでのお食事も大変美味しかったです。 クロースグロックナー山岳道路にも近い立地でした。 残念だったのは、無料WiFiを利用できる場所がレセプション周りに限られていたこと。 部屋では利用できるシステムがまだ整っていませんでした。

etwas lieblos

Hotel wirkt etwas lieblos und auch das Personal ist eher kühl. Nur die Receptionistin war sehr freundlich. Auf das Abendessen mussten wir mit 2 kleinen müden Kindern über eine Stunde warten. Spaghetti und Pommes dauern dort so lange. Insgesamt für eine Nacht ok. Länger möchte ich dort nicht bleiben.

Trevligt hotell med enastående placering.

Vi tyckte hotellet var mycket trevligt och läget är enastående. Vi fick ett bättre rum än vi beställt och att hotellet har inomhuspool var en glad överraskning. Personalen var trevlig och tillmötesgående.

Stunning views - OK hotel

We were travelling through Austria on our way to Italy and wanted a hotel with a pool to let some steam off the kids. We got what we expected but nothing exceptional. Free parking, good Wifi and some stunning views over the valleys though. Food in the restaurant OK

Godt hotell. Fin service, bare synd vi fikk rom uten heistilgang og det skapte litt vansker med alle trappene for en frue med benvansker. Var ikke noe rom med heistilgang tilgjengelig

Nice Hotel

Nice hotel, spacy rooms, OK food. But hotel cannot be reached by beginners via mentioned red piste which is black at some places.

Havde 2 overnatninger. Ankom sent ingen problem. Servicen var god maden i restauranten var god. Poolen udendørs var opvarmet så selv om temperaturen ikke var på sit højeste blev der badet både indendørs og udendørs

Schöne Aussicht über Matrei

Die Zimmer sind wirklich schön und das Personal war hilfsbereit und freundlich! Angenehm ist der Schrägaufzug vom Hotel in den Ort (und zurück), der einen Aufstieg nicht zwingend notwendig macht! Auch dass man das Bad bis 22 Uhr benutzen kann ist ein wohltuendes Service des Hotels!

Gute Qualität mit herrlichem Ausblick in die Berge

Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis OK, Service OK, Freudlichkeit des Teams super. Aber: Gebühr für WLAN ist nicht mehr zeitgemäß.

Schön gelegenes Hotel

Wir waren leider nur eine Nacht dort, aber es war sehr schön. Wir hatten ein großes Zimmer mit Badewanne und begehbaren Kleiderschrank. Es gab einen gepflegten Hotelpool und wir waren abends im Restaurant essen und es war sehr lecker. Auch das Frühstücksbuffet war ausgezeichnet. Jedes Mal wieder.

Bien pour le skis

Bon hôtel, parfait pour les skieurs l'hiver. Chambre très spacieuse, on pourrait dire même que c'est un appartement. La salle de bain est bien aménagée. Par compte il n'y a pas d'ascenseur pour certaine chambre et il faut faire que monté et descendre. Dans la chambre il y a un beau balcon avec une vue sur le village et la montagne c'est beau. Le personnel est gentil mais ne parle pas Français.

Gutes Hotel in schöner Lage

das Zimmer war sauber und recht groß. Ebenso das Badezimmer. Für die unteren Etagen fehlt allerdings ein Aufzug.Man muß sein Gepäck 50 Stufen runter und wieder hoch schleppen. Auch als Hotelgast kann man ein Problem mit Platz im Restaurant bekommen, wenn man nicht reserviert hat. Insgesamt aber sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt.
