Great staff, I arrived late and it wasn't an issue. Actually enjoyed the breakfast. Good location
The rooms are small yet very charming. The decor displays beautiful attention to detail. The staff are welcoming and friendly. Many speak English and or Spanish. We would definitely stay here again.
Siham at the front desk gave us the best top notch customer service.. she was professional, friendly and very informative felt like she was a friend… Thank You Siham for your amazing customer service
Great hotel, perfect location, very friendly and helpful staff, it is small but perfect. I’m definitely returning next time I am in Paris
Good location great breakfast with great peope
Hotel espetacular. Muito bom gosto em cada detalhe. Café da manhã maravilhoso!
We had a lovely stay over the week that we were there. Hotel staff were great and the room was clean and comfortable. Area around was also very nice and accessible. Would recommend.
Excellent
Great hotel, well decorated and kept well. Room was very clean and staff were very friendly. Location was close to restaurants and cafes. Breakfast was great, including an espresso machine.
This hotel was really a very nice surprise. Very didn't expect it to be this good and they even upgraded our room. The staff was very nice and welcoming and hospitable. The food in the cafeteria well, it wasn't that great, didn't have so much variety, but it was still very nice and cozy hotel.
Great place
Very friendly staff Beautiful hotel Would go there again
Breakfast was disappointing.
Very professional staff - I remember Antonio and Julia mostly but everyone was courteous and attentive. Thank you for making our stay an amazing experience. Until next time!
Great hotel with amazing service! Good distance from tourist attractions too.
Great base to explore Paris
This is a lovely hotel in a great area of Paris for jumping on and off the metro to explore the city with some great restaurants and bakery’s nearby. The hotel room we stayed in was excellent with a huge and comfortable bed and the balcony was an extra bonus on an evening. The only downside of our room was the shower. We had no hook on the wall for the shower head meaning we had to handhold the head to wash ourselves, sending water everywhere and making it a challenge to shower quickly. The hotel lift is tiny (as is often the case with old Paris Hotels) so not suitable for people who are claustrophobic and can’t take the stairs. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and allowed us to leave our cases on leaving day as our train wasn’t until the afternoon. We would definitely stay here again, hopefully in a room with a proper shower!
Great hotel
Pros: I liked the decor of the hotel. It felt like old Paris. The rooms were clean and more spacious than others in the city at that price point. The staff during the day were very helpful and pleasant. I had a bathroom that had a tub that was luxurious(worth upgrading to). Cons: The man who was at the desk in the evening was brusk, irritable and impatient. The doors to the rooms were very heavy(metal fire doors)and difficult to open with the key. Parking was challenging.
Great hotel and staff!
The rooms were cosy and comfortable. Everything was very clean in the rooms and throughout the hotel. The staff were very kind and accommodating, and always on hand to answer questions.
Location was fantastic, but sadly the service at the hotel was not great. Couple of issues with the room too.
awesome hotel especially the room. spotless clean. upscale feel. great staff. great location. would love to return one day.
Stay here
Nice small boutique hotel. Not fancy and good location to Paris normal life. Away from tourist area
Staff really try to make your stay enjoyable. Rooms are really clean and I’m particular. Only thing I didn’t like is the shower and bath have no door, it’s open concept in the prestige room we had. I was sharing with a friend and that was a little awkward., Breakfast is decent . Great stay. Would stay there again.
Will definitely stay here again
Beautiful boutique accommodation, top location
Excellent little hotel in a really good neighborhood. If you are looking for something away from the typical Hotel chain style then Hotel Gabriel is a top option, boutique, classy and outside the norm
Great hotel with great staff and service!
Great hotel in a great area. During our France trip we stayed in four different hotels and this was our favorite! We actually stayed twice during this trip! Representatives were also very nice and accommodating!
Good location. Nice hotel.
It's where we always stay when we are in Paris.
We have stayed at this hotel every year for the last five or six years. It's a great location, between two major Metro stops, there are a lot of great places to eat and the hotel itself, is very quiet. They have been renovating the rooms, so it was a treat for us to stay in one of the newly renovated rooms. We know so many of the people who work there, and it is always a treat to return because it feels like our home away from home. The rooms are comfortable, clean, breakfast is great, with a good selection of food, pastries, fruit, etc. But most importantly it's about the staff. They are extremely helpful, kind, generous with the time, and always willing to go beyond to assist with whatever is needed. Four of our friends stayed at the hotel with us and they enjoyed their stay as well. We will return next year for sure. It's always so nice to see so many familiar faces.
The staff is amazing and the hotel itself is great. The only problem is that the walls are thin and there’s bound to be a lot of noise if your room is near the service stairwell. Since there was also construction work the week I stayed (wish I was warned beforehand) it was almost impossible to rest properly during daytime. And I needed that badly due to jetlag and a weird work schedule. I’d still go back but not during construction work…
Herman is an exceptional employee with the rest of the other staff. Herman helped us talk to other front desk employees so we can get checked in early. We arrived in Paris at 6 am and got to the hotel by 9 am. Herman helped us to get an early accommodation by advocating for us. The hotel service too that was provided for us was exceptional too! We get daily room clean up and change of towels; breakfast food was amazing, and the proximity to metro station was the selling point for us. The convenience of having 2-4 metro stations nearby to the hotel allowed us to go to places at anytime.
Beautiful room in well located hotel
Beautiful remodeled room. Super friendly and helpful front desk. Great location, super close to metro. Small but super cute elevator. Breakfast that was included, was wonderful, with a nice variety of food choices.
Honest review
The hotel was lovely however I must be honest and write a review about the service. The hotel has confirmed over email that I would have an upgrade and over the phone twiceZ I arrived at the hotel and I was given my original room and no upgrade, however the manager kindly said she could upgrade me the following day. The room was nice however we had to wait till 3pm to get in the room. The hotel staff said I could enter my older room as I left expensive bottle of shampoo in there, I entered the room and there was luggage in the room therefore other guests had already checked in that room. I found this all very odd and shampoo was binned.. other than that. The hotel is cute and small. It has a nice feel to it.
Great hotel with clean rooms. Perfectly located.
Charming traditional small French hotel. The complimentary breakfast in the charming, cozy dining room was really great. Front desk staff Angelique and Walid were very helpful and pleasant, and the housekeeping and dining room staff were very professional. The location is near one of the larger Metro stations, making Paris easily accessible, and near several nice neighborhood restaurants. The room was nice, albeit small by American standards.
Amazing hotel! Beautiful I couldn’t ask for more for the price I paid. Centrally located. Very clean. Very stylish.
Great family trip
Great location close to the Republique Metro stop which has access to multiple metro lines. Friendly staff who were happy to provide assistance and suggestions. Great breakfast choice
Everything was great . The only thing I would change would be to be able to have the coffee machine in the lobby at night available for free for your guests and offer a water bottle in the room for your guests free of charge . Larger bath towels would be great . Everyday I had one big and one small, never 2 big bath towels . Breakfast was amazing ! Lobby was super clean . Beds and bathroom were also very clean . Thank you for a great stay in Paris ! Would recommend your hotel to friends ! Merci
Well maintained, friendly staff
The best hotel in patis
Great location, great rooms, excellent food, nice and helpfull stuff, defenetly will go back yhere.
Location was great, staff were super nice and accommodating.
Super cute boutique hotel within close proximity to restaurants. The staff are super friendly, professional, and helpful. We felt very safe as they lock the front doors after hours, but there is always someone on staff to let you in quickly. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Paris!
We stayed in 2 rooms that are next door as a family on level 6 (top). It's a tiny clean and white washed hotel. Every thing feels a bit squashed and tucked away... the TV at a strange angle on the counter, little table space.. but it is all clean and all good. The internet in 604 was in and out and there were a few little things missing to make it better.. the aircon is fixed at 20° so if that's too cold you have to sweat it out and turn it off. The steam iron didn't work, earbuds and conditioner missing.. only just the little things. Only the ladies at the reception were great.. the man at night was rude. The breakfast is simple and fine but the crossaints delicious. The location is good.. about 5 min walk from 2 metros Oberkampf and Republique. Great neighbourhood with bars and boulangeries. I would rate this a 3 star hotel, it was good but i wouldn't return it recommend it for the price we paid mid July.
Very nice hotel away from all the craziness… Staff was absolutely amazing trying to help with all our questions and directions…
The stay was excellent and the service provided was as expected. I would recommend this hotel to any traveler looking for a good night stay in a good neighborhood of Paris!
I like the location and friendly staff
Great hotel, staff v friendly and v helpful
The building was really old you can smell the moisture everywhere the rooms are really small and inconvenient
We always love Hotel Gabriel. It is close to transportation and good restaurants
It was close to Metro and many restaurants.
The hotel staff was outstanding both before our trip and while we were staying there. The rooms are smaller but that's OK, they were clean and well maintained and who stays in their room when they are in Paris. The choices for breakfast were many so you could change it up during your stay.
A perfect hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly, the room was very clean and smartly decorated. The bed was very comfortable, the shower hot. Nice convenient location. Very good breakfast too. I highly recommend this hotel.
My room is beautiful, the staff are helpful. Only issue is they double charged me for the city tax. I paid cash at checkout, but when I check my credit card statement later, there was another charge for the tax and 2 coffees which I thought came with the room. I emailed the hotel. They gave me the breakdown right away but when I brought up the double charge, they stopped responding.
The hotel was centrally located, just a 3 minute walk to the Place de la République. The staff was amazing and the room bright and clean. The complimentary breakfast had a great selection and was a great way to start the day. I will definitely be back!
Excellent stay!!!! Staff extremely helpful and kind. Maya at reception was awesome. As were the others. Very important to note there is someone at reception 24/7. The hotel was small but very Parisian and quaint. There is a small smell of sewage going up the stairs, however when I asked reception they stated it has been an ongoing problem they are trying to fix for a long time. So it’s not a fault of theirs and really I only caught a whiff of it once. The rooms were very clean as was the bathroom. Amazing water pressure in shower. It states beds are a double which was actually a queen size in our Canadaian or US standards which was a pleasant surprise. Something nobody mentions in reviews but is very important is the MATTRESS which was very comfortable. Very important to note it doesn’t matter which district you stay in, you’ll have to use transportation no matter what. The first day we called a taxi which cost 38 euro to Eiffel Tower however we were told to call Uber instead and oh my what a difference at 17 euro for the same ride. It was quite easy to use the Uber app and pick ups were quick and easy. I would recommend breakfast included in your stay. It was quite lovely, they had a little bit of everything and it was the same everyday. The best scrambled eggs I’ve ever had. Different options of coffees, latte, espresso, cappuccino etc. Overall, this is a family owned business that takes care of their guests. I will definitely be recommending this hotel.
We loved the proximity to a major metro station. The square nearby has lots of food options, and you could either walk or take the metro to a lot of major attractions. Breakfast being provided was very helpful, and our room was very nice. The front desk staff are also very helpful! We needed an adapter after my wife fried ours, and they provided one, and we also accidentally bought a cold meal, and the man at the desk at night was kind enough to heat it up for us in the kitchen. It was a great stay.
This hotel is PERFECT. The staff went above and beyond to make sure my stay was excellent. I had to move to this hotel after an awful experience with another hotel and everyone at Hotel Gabriel was kind, helpful and patient. The breakfast is awesome with lots of choices and if you would rather eat in your room instead, they bring breakfast up to you. The room was cleaned and towels were replaced every day, even if we left later in the day. The Metro is about a five minute walk away and the neighborhood is busy but safe. Plenty of dining and shopping options are within walking distance. It is in the perfect location that gives you the opportunity to get to all the tourist attractions easily. When I come back to Paris, I will absolutely be staying here again!
Perfect for a woman traveling on her own. The breakfast included was wonderful and great food. I felt safe and it was easy access to everything.
Lovely hotel and staffs! I booked this hotel last minute after a horrible experience at another hotel in Paris. The staffs were very helpful and accommodating; the decoration and room was beautiful; the location was close to subway stations making it very accessible; the petite buffet breakfast was a bonus. Highly recommended!!
The staff is very courteous and helpful; they go above and beyond. Breakfast is great, and sufficiently varied to appeal to different palates. I would gladly return to this hotel
We really enjoy our home in Paris. Friendly staff, great location.
Service was superb. Room was cleaned in a timely fashion, and the front desk personnel were friendly and helpful.
Really nice hotel, just wish our room was a little bigger. Staff were pleasant and breakfast was very convenient.
Amazing hotel - it was beautiful. My room was ready early, and I was even upgraded to a larger room. I was so impressed with the room size, and all the details. Great location, delicious restaurants nearby.
Hotel Gabriel Paris is a small 41 room charming hotel with superb service and fantastic morning breakfast included. Daily service of room was excellent. Our room had a balcony on 5th floor to view the street. Easy walk to Metro station and many restaurants in Republique square.
We were so happy with everything. Very convenient and good location. Specially the lovely receptionist: lady Kamille with her nice smile and welcoming attitude made our stay in Paris wonderful and memorable. Thanks Kamille and happy new year. Lili & Ulli - room 306
Great little place
My room was quiet. Hotel is very clean. Also great breakfast included.
From the moment we walked in the door, the staff was warm and welcoming. Our room felt spacious for a city - amply closet space, lovely bathroom. The breakfast each morning was a treat with a great array of delicious foods to choose from. We'll definitely be back!
Lovely hotel, room slightly on the small side and tea making facilities could have been better and cleaner but otherwise it’s a great place to stay and we would happily go again. Staff speak great English and breakfast was a better selection than we expected
Quaint boutique hotel around lots of shops and eateries.
The daytime staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and had a great variety. The rooms were very small, as was the elevator, but that’s standard for Europe. I’d definitely stay here again!
Very nice little hotel, friendly front desk staff, quite helpful for check in and check out. One night staff was really nice and caring but there was one who was rude and cold, which ruined the otherwise would-be 5 star experience
The hotel was extremely clean and the staff very helpful! The rooms were well designed and breakfast was very nice.
Great Staff.
The staff was so lovely and attentive
This place is the perfect stay for anyone travelling. It’s close to two subway stations and many great food options. Breakfast is amazing and we would eat it everyday before a long day out in the city! The staff is amazing and we’re very kind! 10/10 would recommend can’t write enough good things
We would definitely stay at Hotel Gabriel Paris again! Such a quiet, cozy, clean, nicely decorated hotel close to two metro stations, restaurants, cafes and stores. They also provide a free breakfast which we enjoyed every day!
The concierge services were exceptional! Camille, Florence and Soumaya were incredible in their warmth and resourcefulness. The room was clean, cosy and spacious. As a solo female traveler it felt very safe.
This is the second time I have stayed at the Hotel Gabriel. Both occasions have been wonderful. The hotel is beautiful. The staff is helpful and very friendly. Camille at the front desk was especially helpful and I want to personally thank her for her assistance organizing our visit to the Palace of Versailles.
Super cosy boutique hotel! Ideal for a couple nights stay in Paris! Close to restaurants / metro! Staff were so lovely and welcoming! Would absolutely stay here again!
The service here really was wonderful. They accommodated my early check in (11am), had an excellent breakfast each morning and there was a bottle of wine waiting for me since I booked with Expedia. The hotel and rooms were also spotless! Very well kept property. Lots of restaurants and pharmacy within walking distance, as well as trains/buses to all the great attractions. I was in room 101, which was on the first floor near the elevator, it was extremely noisy. The bed was also as hard as a brick. I barely slept due to the uncomfortable bed and noise. Also, my view was of a brick wall so that was dissappointing. Wouldn't stay here again, because I do like my sleep. But if you don't mind a firm bed and are fine with it potentially being noisy, this really is a great hotel option!
I like the place was nicely and friendly
Great friendly staff. Wonderful location near the tube station and close to tons of great restaurants
This is our fourth or fifth time staying at Hotel Gabriel and we are never disappointed. It's always so nice to see so many familiar faces and some new ones as well. We love the area, and everyone at the hotel is wonderful. We even bumped into some old friends who were staying there as well. We will return again next year for sure.
The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating.
The hotel is in a great location, clean and nice. But the hotel did not give us the room we booked, supposed to be a Prestige room with city view and we got a room with a view of roof tops. The receptionist never followed up the next morning as she promised to check for another city-view room for us. Disappointed but other than that the hotel is nice, breakfast decent.
We enjoyed our stay at this property. Nice area and friendly staff. We had a prestige suite so the size was a bit bigger. Only thing we didn’t like was if you have a bathtub suite, you don’t get a proper shower. You get a hand held hose to shower yourself in the bath tub. Breakfast in the morning was good, nice juices and pastries, but it gets boring after a few days when you have the same thing on offer. Overall, I recommend this hotel to couples.
Great location. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Great little spot! Very clean, staff was friendly and helpful, and while I opted for a smaller room, I still had everything I needed for my stay! The hotel is surrounded by a good selection of laundromats, food/drink options, shopping, and is close to multiple metro stations which was great for getting around.
Hotel was walking distance to metro and was in safe walkable area
This is a wonderful boutique hotel in a great area. Rooms are large, very clean, renovated; comfortable beds and beautiful decor. The breakfast is great and the breakfast room is a lovely first floor living room type area off the lobby. I would stay here again!
We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Gabriel. All of the staff were extremely helpful and courteous. The hotel was very clean and appeared to be well-managed. The continental breakfast was very convenient and suited our tastes and needs completely. The rooms are small, but we expected that in a Parisian hotel based on other reviews. So U.S. visitors have to adjust their expectations. The hotel location is near many excellent restaurant choices, with a grocery store merely one block away. It was also very convenient to the Republic metro station, which services several metro lines (get a map at the front desk when you check in). My only real complaint is that there were no laundry facilities on-site, in despite a statement to the contrary on the property description. However, there is a local laundry facility about one block away (across from the nearby grocery store). So we used that while in the hotel. In summary - a great choice for our first visit to Paris. We would readily stay here again!
Awesome property with wonderful staff.
Staffs are wonderful and helpful and go out of their way to assist. Would stay at this hotel again.
Beautifully decorated, modern hotel in a great location close to a hopping Paris neighborhood and the subways to get around. The staff is friendly and helpful and there is a very nice breakfast in the mornings where my husband and I chatted with other guests from all over Europe!
The hotel was very nice and clean. The staff was very welcoming, helpful and professional.
The room was so small to the point where we couldn't walk normal. We had to take turns walking in the room. So super small and tight. The drains in both the bathroom sink and the shower were partially clogged. The shower water accumulated while in shower. The hotel was very far from all attractions. A taxi ride to Eiffel Tower was 40 Euros. The breakfast meat was all pork with no attention to noon pork eaters. The staff was very friendly and nice.
The staff, the place was so welcoming and charming
Convenient location. Close to the metro and a lot restaurants. Very nice staff I enjoyed the breakfast in the hotel. Nice room with air conditioning. I mention it after learning that some hotels in Paris don’t have air conditioning. The bathroom has a bath tub not a regular shower. I enjoyed a bath one night. Hotel provides a rope and slippers for each guest. My daughter and I enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
perfect
