If your visiting as a tourist its best to stay by the clock tower in the historic district. This is where Hotel Emily is. There is another hotel with same owner, same furnishings, same bedding across the plaza called Hotel Crios. I stayed at BOTH on this same trip.j I paid more for the Hotel Crios to get a nice room and it had 2 balconies both overlooking the plaza. It was really large too! I was able to check in a few hours early. At Emily I paid somewhat less, I dont have the figure but the room was half the size at best. NO BALCONY, and the view of run down buildings behind and a barking dog in the house behind. A fence covered with broken glass separates. I went from a plaza great view to a lousy rear view with barking dog. . I also had to wait until 300pm to check in time. At Crios I got in 2 hours early. Each had a coffee machine where you get the first one free and the bag at Crious had everything and the one at Emily was different brand and missing items inside. Emily has a restaurant and Crios does not but I didnt eat there. I prefer to get out on the town. The floors at Emily are half floors, so you still have to walk up or down a 1/2 floor and that kind of stuff subjects you to more noise from open spaces. Not good for the elderly or those with limitations.
Perfect location, clean and the staff very friendly!
Excelent location, walkable to shopping areas including the market and a variety of restaurants to please you palate. The personal is outstanding answering any questions and directing to possible places.
El hotel Emily siempre ha sido mi hotel favorito en Pachuca, buen servicio al huésped, habitaciones cómodas y un buen restaurante.

Beautiful hotel
All the beautiful details in the hotel.
In the centre of town, close to everything.
Very Good
I’ll definitely be back
The view
Beautiful view from my room looking at the clock square.
Nice i liked
All good
Mucho ruidos en las noches
The hotel stay was excellent however, we had some issues with the restaurant, we stay 7 nights and had left to travel to another town after returning back from the other town we went back to hotel Emily and stayed 1 more night for a total of 8 nights. The issue that we had with the restaurant was they wanted to charges us for the ice for the room when my wife was having a discussion with the staff another employee started making ugly faces and rolling her eyes this was very rude and unacceptable. Also after receiving the bill for a breakfast meal we noticed that the waiter tried to overcharge us and I had ordered hotcakes the waiter gave only 1 syrup packet for 3 large hotcakes I asked for extra syrup and noticed that they were charging me for the extra syrup.
The hotel part was excellent. The restaurant however was not. We stayed for 8 nights. The day we arrived we went to have breakfast and the waiter tried to overcharged us but before that we ordered pancakes and he brought 1 small packet of syrup which was not enough for 3 pancakes so we asked for some more and when the bill came we saw that we were charged for the extra syrup. So he overcharged us on the meal plus the charge on the syrup. Also this is the first and only one restaurant that wanted to charge us for an ice bucket when they do not have refrigerators in the room or a/c and the days were warm.
Céntrico y bonito
Excelente hotel justo enfrente de la plaza principal.
What I didn’t like about this property is that they don’t have air conditioning and during the night without it it could turn too hot, the food at the restaurant is not what I was expecting
Would recommend
The location was amazing. We got a room with a wonderful view to the monumental clock. The staff was great and super helpful.
I love this hotel. Very clean, cozy, comfortable in historical center of the town. People at the reception were very nice, professional and helpful. It was great experience overall.

When I need help calling a taxi ; they were prompt and delightful!
I like it!
I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Emily and give it five stars. It is not super fancy, but I love the location. For my purposes, the room was fine. I absolutely loved their workout room which I frequented three times over four nights, because of the view. If you don’t speak Spanish, sometimes it is hard to communicate with staff since they don’t all speak English super well - but they are friendly and helpful. I recommend it.
Was good location
Great service!
Great location and service! Front desk is very helpful. Food is good too.
Música alto volumen después de las 10 pm y muy temprano desde las 6 am
It's a very nice hotel. The people on reception is very nice. The facilities are great and clean.
When arriving I asked for a room change that was not accepted by the manager. I even had a suite reservation. All pillows were very uncomfortable
This a very nice hotel to stay.
It's always nice to be at this hotel They have a good service and the location is very convenient.
Céntrico y tranquilo
Simple convenient hotel in the center of Pachuca.
Food
The staff is ok
This hotel is a gem! The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, the location is fantastic because you have everything close by. The restaurant is great, delicious food! My husband even booked a massage and it was terrific! We will stay here again next time anytime we visit Pachuca
I recommend this hotel because they are very friendly, hospitality and welcome, they make you feel at home.
Was ok
Everything it was pretty good. Except one they they have Internet problems and i couldn't connect to the wifi
It was pretty good.
It’s a good place to stay very clean and trustworthy.
Location to the city center, lots of activity in the courtyard and the people were so full of life.
This hotel is Wonderful! Location is great! If you want to go out to the malls and Estadio Hidalgo it is easy to get there by taxi. If you come to Pachuca! You and your family need to come here if you want to have a good time. Chip’s is the restaurant hotel located in the lobby. Great Food and great service! The staff from Emily hotel and Chips’s restaurant are amazing they go above and beyond to make you feel good and confortable. At the front desk, they can help you organize a trip to Grutas de Tolantongo! This place is wonderful you need to visit this place. It is like paradise. Overall, this hotel is amazing you will have a great time! Price is affordable! And the services that they offer are wonderful especially the trip to Grutas de Tolantongo! You deserve to have this experience! Visit Pachuca and stay at this hotel! I really recommend it!
Good central location. Nice room. Restaurant on premises. Parking for free on premises.
Comfortable and centrally located
nice location in front of the clock towner. Large rooms and has a restaurant on premises
Great location, clean rooms, and good restaurant. I enjoyed my stay.
Excelente ubicacion en el mismo centro de Pachuca cerca de lugares turisticos.
Overall its an ok hotel. I felt that the room was smaller than expected. Wifi signal for the 4th floor was not great. Great view to the square which is the highlight, but other than that is an ok hotel.
It's a comfortable hotel right in the middle of the old town.
The hotel has an excellent location if you want to walk around and know the city. Everything is on hand
the personal is somewhat rude, they have to be more friendly!
Great choice
Great location, close to everything
Location is excellent! WiFi was variable and a little unreliable in the room
Great front desk and location, but some annoyances
Great front-desk service, location great, beautiful exterior, awful elevator and weird split levels even though not that many floors, but what makes this a mediocre-negative review was the constant noise from employee staff right outside of my door. Once there was so much coughing by one of them I had to come out and ask if anyone was sick. Why they congregated there, why they were so loud despite do not disturb on mine and other nearby doors... was almost people talking in my own room
It’s clean and the staff are really friendly. Good service
It’s a clean place, but reserved for 4 adults and only had two towels.
Very convenient to restaurants and shops, right outside the hotel. We stay in the suite which faces the plaza.
Central Location
Hotel Emily is the perfect place for exploring Pachuca. Is is comfortable clean and well located.
This Hotel is located in an excellent location downtown. You can walk around and enjoy many restaurants.
The place for parking is very bat because you need go only for one place you used for go to in and out
The breakfast don’t include when I’m star the process they include but when Expedia take the responsibilities take off.
Pachuca
Awesome city! Absolutely beautiful friendly people. Great service .
The location was dead smack in the middle of everything it was great! The ringing of the bells from the clock tower was actually quite soothing and not a hindrance at all. The staff was great! In their own limited ways, they tried to accommodate our every desire. Very polite. The water and the ice were all filtered, the fruit at the restaurant downstairs was all clean and nobody got sick from anything that was ingested while our stay there. Our little one is 2.5yrs old and she did fine the whole time we were there. Parking in and out was a bit tight, but then again, streets are tight so it's par for the course. Valet was availavle and free the whole time. 10% tips is what is expected and us dishing out 15% everytime, kept the help very content with our tipping.
There are not a lot of options in Pachuca but Hotel Emily leaves a lot to be desired. The internet was down as often as it was available. The hotel could also use some updating. If you do stay, make sure you get a view of the clock tower as the other rooms have rather grim views.
Nice comfortable hotel in the heart of historical downtown Pachuca. The hotel even let us check in early as a courtesy which was great since Ihad just taken an overnight red-eye flight the noght before (About 11am).
Very clean room. Excellent hospitality. Very courteous & friendly staff. Will stay again. Highly recommended.
The people were amazing. We came in late (10:30PM). Very tired. The front desk folks took very good care of us. Breakfast the next morning was wonderful also.
Excellent hotel
Very close location to restaurants, shopping and sightseeing hotel and location
Very quick check in, nice rooms. It would be nice to have some kind of a welcome gift and coffee in the rooms rather than at the reception.
great hotel in a great location
The hotel is lovely and right in the center. The view from the restaurant is stunning and the food is good and reasonably priced.
Great location, reception staff lacking
Can't beat the location for a great stay in Pachuca. The room was in good condition, very clean and comfortable, located on the back side of the hotel so poor view. We've enjoyed staying here several times over the years but not so much this stay. Reception woman was not welcoming or friendly and after more than 45 minutes of issues with the entry locks on two different rooms, we finally got in a room. Bellman was great but reception staff seemed bothered that there was an issue. We will try other Pachuca hotels in the future.
Nice hotel close to everything many coffee shops
Enjoyed our stay rally nice hotel with great staff and good food
Pachuca downtown
Right service at right price
Nice hotel right in front of the monumental clock
The hotel was really pretty. Nice comfy beds. We arrived late at night therefore did not get the view of the monumental clock which was a bit of a bummer. Nevertheless, the staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and everything was in order.
Great view of downtown
Great view and close by restaurants with local food!
Central position
Wonderful family hotel, a haven of peace. The proprietor a most interesting and friendly gentleman.
Nice hotel close to restaurants
Room clean, friendly staff, and great view of the monument.
very stinky!
Very stinky Hotel! The smell is from the water pipes.. Not Recommended! Don't like it!
SO STINKY!
EMELY HOTEL HAS A PRETTY LOBBY, CHARMING BEDROOMS...HOWEVER, IT IS EXTREMELY STINKY. THE BAD SMELL FROM THE WATER PIPES COMES TO THE ROOMS.. IT GIVES YOU A HEADACHE AND FELT LIKE UPSET STOMACH. OWNERS OF THE HOTEL HAVE A BAD PROBLEM WITH THIS BAD SMELL. THEY SHOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. IT DOESN'T INVITE YOU TO STAY THERE OR RECOMMED THE HOTEL TO NO BODY. I WILL NOT STAY THERE IN MY LIFE!
I searched for hotel that includes BF and they ended charging for this because I checked online (?)
Excellent hotel with great customer service
Clean, friendly and accommodating. Walking distance to a lot of excellent restaurants and cafes.
Convencient and comfortable stay in Great Location
The hotel is an excellent choice if you are interested in visiting downtown Pachuca. I would have giving it a rating of 5, if it wasn't for the fact that the suite, the best room that you can book with them, has a terrible view. If you want the best view facing the clock, you have to book the regular rooms and make a notation that you want that view. Other than that, everything else about this place is absolutely wonderful.
good value for the money
location is the only factor that sells this hotel.
Chose this hotel due to the good reviews- however has to say those were exaggerated. This hotel is dated, and should be considered more of a two star pension. To be blunt, wifi, easily the most important element of any hotel for travellers, doesn't work. There is no CNN, which is hugely important for any traveller who needs to relax and be in an environment of familiarity in a foreign city. The room smells of stale tabacco - smoking in rooms is ok apparently. The industrial carpet in the room is unhygienic, and really needs to be ripped off. The bathroom doesn't have a proper shower area, and the splash from the shower floods the whole floor. No air conditioning, which is ok since pachuca is cool and it really doesn't get as cold as new england nights. A portable heater is provided and does the job. Nice large room with beautiful direct view of the clock tower. This hotel is fine, if the tourist considers that to be the most important factor. The coffee provided in the room comes in a home-made foil, impossible to open and when opened bursts and spills everywhere. The coffee filter wilts in the coffeemaker, and you end up with a cup of coffee grounds. Not a big deal since the cafe is downstairs, but just another unnecessary kink the traveller has to deal with. Little things add up, and the stay becomes very stressful. Only one bottle of water is provided, and the other bottle costs 10 pesos - gives the impression of diming the visitor.
very NICE HOTEL, CLEAN, GOOD PERSONAL, FRIENDLY
iT WAS A PLEASURE TO STAY THERE, CLEN HOTEL, RIGHT AT THE HISTORIC TOWN OF CITY. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.
Nice room horrible view
It seems that they give not nice view rooms to hotels.com customers, the room was nice but the view were to the sewers in the back of the hotel
Nice trip!
Great place
High Class: Personal Attention
Hotel Emily is a super clean and efficiently run hotel with excellent staff who greet you and take care of your needs. The restaurant was adequate with a huge buffet; we, however, are not buffet people. That said, an young lady who was a cook and could speak perfectly excellent English helped us with menu items and since I do not eat meat, she was super appreciated and ready to make any item on the menu a vegetarian one. First class.
Family fun
Great location at center of square, only down fall was all the construction on square not finished, Great service, very helpful front desk, will return to this hotel
nice staff, great location, but big drawbacks
The staff was nice and the hotel was in a great location. The biggest problem we had was the odor coming from the drains in the bathroom. We went into a room on the first floor and when we opened the bathroom door, a sewer-like odor came out. We complained and they took us to a room on the second floor. The odor wasn't as bad, but it was very noticeable when we'd turn on the sink faucet. It was unpleasant. Our friends had a room next to ours on the first floor and while they didn't seem to have the same odor from the bathroom, the room wreaked of cigarette smoke. I imagine that plumbing must be an expensive fix for a hotel, but bad odors can be more expensive. The room didn't have a coffee maker nor could we find and ice machine. Both are pretty standard and mid-range hotels. I wouldn't stay there again
Very nice and comfortable
The Hotel Emily was very nice. The only area that kept it from being near perfect was the service in the reataurant...food was vey good but the service was very slow.
would stay there again
very good location because it is located in front of downtown square. Upon arrival our room smelled of cigarret smoke -even if it is a no smoking hotel -and When we told them at the reception they did change our room. Personnel was nice and accommodating . The hotel does need some maintenance but in general for the price it was overall good . Ask for a room with a view to the square
Great location
THe location of the hotel was very good. The hotel was very nice and the rooms were very clean. The only complaint was that the beds were slightly hard. I would definitely stay here again.
Nice Hotel
This was a very nice hotel with a nice restaurant
Excellent value for money
Great little hotel. We stayed in a suite on the first floor. We were impressed with the excellent amenities and décor in the room and throughout the hotel, and the prompt service: we could not ask for better. The only complaint is the "friendliness" of the staff: they were, for the most part, courteous, but with too few smiles and a dining room hostess that seemed to frown; this took much away from that "we-are-here-to-please-you" ambience that we have become so used to from our travels to Cancun and Play Del Carmen. But, if we go back to Pachuca, we will definitely not have to think twice about staying at Hotel Emily!
BUSINESS STAY
THIS WAS A GOOD LOCATION FOR THE BUSINESS I HAD IN THE AREA. STAFF WAS HELPFULL AND WORKED WITH ME WHEN i NEED TO STAY A COUPLE EXTRA DAYS TO COMPLETE MY BUSINESS.
No Complaints
This is the second time I have stayed at the Hotel Emily during a convention. With the exception of small rooms which I find is typical of Mexican hotels and slightly uncomfortable bed, it was a pleasant experience once again. I would stay here next year.
Super-comfy bed.
Nice hotel across from the main square (Plaza de la Independencia). Our room was a bit small perhaps, but it was stocked with amenities including lcd tv and one awesome, mega-king-sized bed. Restaurant was good, but breakfast service a bit slow. Would stay here again.
