Staff was great, front desk staff were very polite. The Lady at front desk was awesome.
Breakfast bread options were not fresh(mold)
Polite and accommodating front desk. Mr. Wheb was friendly and helpful to our family needs of providing us a convenient room that exceeds my expectation. The hotel has no elevator but not a big issue as Mr. Wheb helped us with our luggage. They also have a nice Puppy greeter that welcomes us at the door when we arrived. The hotel is modest, safe, well managed and most important was the accommodating staff/ front desk. Walking distance to some impt. areas. I highly recommend the Hotel Eiffel XV.
Good location and very close to metro and city proper. Only issues is no elevator. Overall not too bad. 3 stars hotel.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Great breakfast options and fantastic cleaning services. Appreciate their hard work.
We are in 2024 and hotel with out lift i booked room 25.8 quarat meter but about no lift i sleept in smoll room
It was close enough from the metro station but it was difficult to get into the rooms since there's no elevator. There was some mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. However, the manager was helpful in showing us the directions to the different spots we wanted to visit.
Very friendly staff, its 2 star hotel but with execlent services
Here for the Olympics
This hotel is a basic euro hotel. If you have the right expectations, it's a great property. You do have to climb some stairs to get to your room, so be prepared. The rooms are small and basic, but clean and the AC worked well, which we were very happy about. It's nearby a handful of cafes and just a couple blocks from the 6 line metro. Overall we were happy with our stay here.
Outstanding Place to stay for the Value
It is a great value for the money.. It is only a five minute walk to the Eiffel tower and the hotel is in a great community with lots of restaurants and shops around.. It is always very close to Metro line 6.. The staff is very friendly and supported me with all my request and they have a great more breakfast
No elevator, but overall that's fine
Walkable distance to Eiffel Tower. Very close to a subway station. Reasonable price for this hotel. My family had a great experience in Paris.
Clean, nice staff, located walking distance to Eiffel Tower and metro. Like the other reviews mention, you do have to take spiral stairs up to room but convenient location is worth it. Perfect for a short stay with minimal luggage. Also helped arrange transport early in morning. Thank you for a nice first stay in Paris.
This hotel is in a great location, rooms are clean and staff were helpful and lovely!
The property does not have elevator. We were not told that breakfast is extra and the breakfast was not of good quality. First day the milk had turned sour. Best part as its nearness to Eiffel Tower.
Was good for the price
Super!
No lift
Very friendly staff, basic room but only needed for one night. Able to leave the luggage whilst we explored the city after we checked out. The only downside were the pillows, on the small side and very soft. We could have probably asked for extra but didn’t bother. Major plus only a few minutes walk to the nearest metro station.
Nice place.
Overall, not the best experience, but not the worst. The photos made it seem this hotel was nicer than it actually is. No elevator and the stairs are very narrow. There’s no fridge or microwave in the room. Extremely small tv and small bathroom. The only positives that it is close to the metro so easy to travel anywhere. As well as there are a lot of food options in the area. The bed was comfortable and the sheets was clean. But I would not recommend this hotel. Just because at the price that this hotel is at is not worth it.
Nice hotel, close to the Eiffel — even though there’s not a view from the hotel. We walked and scootered everywhere during our stay. The staff were lovely. Bathroom wasn’t as clean as we would like, hairs all over the walls and the tub drain was clogged. But otherwise quite clean. The hotel manager was SHOUTING on the phone early in the morning on our last day waking us up— FOH offered us brekky as compensation which was kind. Overall great stay
Good value for money.
Good value for money. Decent room with the basics you need. Probably not quite 3 star hotel but pleasant enough for a cheaper stay in central Paris.
Buen servicio y atentos. Al llegar con maletas grande me alojaron en una habitación en el primer piso ya que el hotel no cuenta con elevador. Muy limpio
4 ⭐️
I stayed for two nights the room was standard and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful my overall experience was good.
Уютный номер, но холодновато
H
Great space and great for long term visitors, they would have a comfortable room to stay. Maaanyy internet problems
Not best option
The room was not as nice as the photos lead you to believe and it was tiny. Staff was not friendly and there is no elevator for luggage so that meant carrying all bags up narrow stairwell.
Nice and clean room, same in reality as it shows in the pictures and honestly much better than whay we were aspecting! Good quality of price and very close to the metro station, tour Eiffel (10 min walking) and little shops. Just a little bit disappointed because it was cold in our room and there was no heating.
Walking distance from Eiffel Tower
It was a very basic room but we were not looking for frills. It was walking distance to the Eiffel Tower and the public transportation options couldn’t have been better. The 6 metro was 3 mins from our door. Thought it was great. Clean too
Bed bugs
We switched room twice due to bed bugs. Rooms were dirty. Housekeeping did a terrible job at cleaning the room. Would not stay here again.
reserved a triple room. there is a "nice" side of the hotel that is remodeled and the other is now. I unfortunately, was stuck with the not so nice side. Looks a lot nicer in pictures than in person. Also there is no elevator and I was stuck on the 5th floor...
Great area, not very clean, needs better customer service
The staff and service were excellent. Location was perfect for our time in Paris Thank you
Clean and tidy. Love the fact that it was very convenient to the tourist attractions
The only great thing about this hotel is the location and staff. Besides that, our room for 3 people was much smaller than what the pictures showed. There is no elevator and the hotel has 5 floors. The hotel itself is small but the person at front desk was nice. I would of given this hotel a better review despite how low budget it looks if our room wouldn’t have had bed bugs. Unfortunate, but true.
Great
Everything was great except for the stairs. No elevators so be prepared to carry your luggages up narrow stairs.
The property is very very outdated, got charged for things I didn’t even know what I was paying for. The bed was dirty an all they did was cover it with another sheet right on front of our face we will still had to lay on it, shower was broke. The tv came with no remote. I asked for another room, then they said this all we have then others come in to get better rooms. Overall experience was terrible, the best part of the stay was only the breakfast
Property is in a good location. Walking distance to several shops and restaurants. The wifi connection was slow, not great when you have to login and check work emails. So that was a bummer.
Big room but no lift
Pros :1. Good price 2. spacious room Cons:1. No elevator so I need to lift my luggage to the 5th floor. 2. Far from Metro, 10 mins walk. 3. No wardrobe
This hotel is horrible and it also has bedbugs. There is mold on the walls and also blankets are dirty and full of hair. Also there is no elevator and you have to walk up the stairs. We told the office to clean the rooms to clean and change the blankets but what the cleaner did he just flipped the blankets over and that was it. Don’t come there is bedbugs !!!!! This hotel is a piece of sh*t.
AVOID this if you could call Hotel. Save your money on something else and book elsewhere. The only good thing is location. I feel overpriced and should be removed from any booking website. Very dirty , not secure not worth it.
Not great but a place to sleep
Mould in the shower.. Plus point is stay here you will see more of Paris as your room is no very good.
Good
Voyage d'été
beau voyage ,la réception très amical,le déjeuner est assez et varié.
Average hotel, mind the stairs
6 suitcases to be carried up 5 floors wasn’t the best welcome. A kettle but no cups and a dirty fridge. The location was great being so close to the Eiffel Tower, shops and restaurants. Average hotel possibly overpriced due to a busy weekend?
Very small and uncomfortable for the price, check-in was rude and staff was not very nice.
Convenient place to stay. Had A/C (at least in our part of the hotel). Great service, simple and clean accommodations.
Not worth the price.
The hotel has no elevator the stairs are not user friendly, no AC and it's hot with almost no breeze. The shower door was falling off because the wall nuts for the screws are half out and the door wont close so it leaks all over the floor, mold in the shower with hair from the last person there, dust pile under the bed. It's not the picture you see on the website. The bed was comfortable and newer nice small fridge for drinks, Not alot in the room, 2 chairs for the pub table, a 20inch TV in the room with 5 to 10 channels and your bed with a metal locker with no keys and a fan. It is close to the Eiffel Tower. All rooms in Europe are small but this could be better.
Close to eiffel tower and very good customer service and friendly staff. We got upstairs on level 4 with no lift and narrow stairs and no wifi range even though it shows there is wifi. Bathroom narrow and water come out from bath to hall sometimes.
Good location - nothing else was good
Great location- 1/2 mile , walking distance from from Eiffel Tower. Simple room- with tiny bathroom, small kitchenette, refrigerator, microwave and hot water machine. Small tv- you have to pay for breakfast. Staff was ok EVEN though we stayed for 4 days, they did not want to change room. Clogged bathroom for 2 days. Windows broken - could not lock. So safety issue. There are 3-4 other hotels on same street, like Gustave and others.
Those dang stairs!
Narrow curving stairway to go up four floors to room! Construction outside every morning. Looks run down, Step down leaving bedroom, step up to bedroom, We avoided the unit as much as we could.
Good location
We loved the location but room was not cleaned everyday, only when we arrived.
original room we received was poor as it was ground floor and only a few meters from reception and was in no way sound proof, could hear every word of conversation from reception. Asked to move room straight away and staff were helpful allocating us a new room, but it was top floor (5th) with no elevator. Took the room as it was the lesser of two evils I suppose. Breakfast was €8 per person even though all we had was a bowl of cereal and two slices of toast (€16 in total). Other than that the room was small but clean, there was a slight problem with the shower. Suitable for somewhere to stay for 2/3 nights if you’re only looking for somewhere to put your head down at night
It's not yet done. No air conditioning. Carpenters are still there doing renovations, it doesn't look like it's professionally done too. Bathroom door won't close. Room is not appealing, not relaxing from a days walk. It doesn't look safe, no elevators and when we're about to leave, they asked for our room keys. We didn't leave any of our belongings there, it's good that we only brought a backpack. We just slept and shower in the room then go. Stairs is so steep too, not safe.
Eiffel Tower really close
location is okay. staff are nice aside from the one from senegal. He was sleeping on the couch 12mn, it took me long to buy from the vending machine. he was angry because he cannot go back to sleep while I'm there, very rude!!. also the hotel doesn't have a LIFT. and they keep on giving people 4th floor rooms, the shower is broken and they didn't bother fixing it, horrible experience.
This hotel is no good. Using stairs from first floor to 3rd floor and going up is not easy carrying my heavy laggage no one is helping no one offered for help.
Get what you pay for. Good location.
The mattress in in the room i stayed the first 3 days was terrible.... old and uncomfottable. I only got a different room the last day on my stay in the newer renovated wing. The older side should be renovated ASAP. Some of the staff are also very unwelcoming. Lastly, the first room was not cleaned all the time
For the price it is perfect, like 10 minutes from the Eiffel Tower, right by a metro line, and a nice part of town for night life!
We received different rooms than the ones we booked. The pictures of the rooms we saw on expedia were different than the rooms we received at the hotel. Bed sheets were only changed after 5 days of our stay and that was upon our request. they don't change the bed sheets if you don't ask them to. And the new bed sheets were yellowish and stained. On the 4th day there was a water leak in one of our bathrooms and the water almost reached the bedroom, and it wasn't fixed immediately. it took them two days to fix the leak. The staff are friendly in general and the hotel has a good location.
Hotel Eiffel stay Christmas 2018
The Hotel Eiffel was so-so. The pictures make it look much nicer than it really is. The bathroom was dirty, especially in the corners, I could see built-up dirt, which was pretty gross, and the shower drain didn't drain water and the bathroom lights were burnt out. The hotel did not fix it for our stay. The beds are nice and comfortable. It's very loud. The hotel staff are about as unfriendly and unhelpful as you can get, especially if you are are not a French-speaker, there's a lot of discrimination there. The thing that disgusted me when I walked in with my physically handicapped son (and I didn't see anything that stated no elevators on the booking) was the attitude the staff member gave us. Completely nonchalant and smiled when he said my son would have to walk up 3 flights of curved stairs. I could not believe what a complete jerk he was! He did get better throughout the stay, predominately because my husband spoke French I think. And because I really just don't accept that kind of attitude. For the price I paid, and after staying in comparable hotels across Europe, I'd say it was worth about $75-80 a night (CDN), not the $144 I paid. It is a good location, but it does not have a view of the Eiffel Tower as it leads you to believe.
Great Location but room could use some improvement
Pros: - Hotel is located at a very nice location and a 10 mins walk from Eiffel Tower and plenty of food options around - The staff was friendly and check-in was pretty smooth. Cons: - Room was really small and not representative of what you saw in the pictures when booking - Even after setting the thermostat, the temperature didn't change and our room was really cold - probably because this was centrally controlled. - Room's lighting could have been better
NO ELEVATOR!! I REPEAT!! NO ELEVATOR!! If you have luggage, you have to carry it up the stairs, I carried mine up to the fourth floor!! :’( The staff is friendly and great Free wifi Super close to the Eiffel tower and Duplex train station Clean and room is nice
The kettle in the rooms do not work. No baby equipments e.g. travel cots, highchairs. No carpet. Bathroom was so tight. But it is a 2 star hotel :/
No elevator, we were placed in 4th floor (technically it was 5th floor because it seems in Europe the ground floor is not the first floor). We dragged all our heavy luggages up the narrow spiral staircase. Not good for a disable person. We suggest that this hotel should renovate and add an elevator. There's a big bed bug in one of the rooms we booked (room 418). We were a big family so we booked 4 rooms. We rate this hotel at 3.
The staff was very helpful and the Eiffel Tower is only 15 minute walk from Hotel.
Okay but noisy. Wooden stairway outside of room make much noise with people and baggage going up and down late at night.
Hotel is NOTHING like the pictures online. Staff were not helpful or friendly, when asking for help, the receptionist said he was busy. We found it so bad, we actually booked another hotel nearby for one night, so one night of our booking here went to waste because we did not want to stay there. Very outdated, again, pictures are NOT a true reflection at all of the hotel. Bathroom facilities very squashed together, difficult to use. Would NOT recommend this hotel.
Quiet Room on a Quiet Street
Being avid walkers, we loved being within .6 miles of the Eiffel Tower. While the stairway was narrow to our 5th floor room (no elevator), we loved the quiet room and quiet streets.
Facilities were very clean, and attendance was great. Would stay again!
We were out all day, didn't really spend any time in hotel. Ok place.
BED BUGS!!
BED BUGS!! Upon arrival, we noticed that this hotel was much more run down than the pictures made it look. Our room was dirty with mold in the bathroom, no A/C and awful bedding materials. We decided to tough it out and stay the first night. After waking up in the morning, we noticed small bugs crawling all over our blankets and immediately recognized them as bed bugs! After telling the employee at the front desk that we were leaving the hotel and wanted a refund, she said that we would receive it once a manager came in. They didn't even seem to care about the bed bug issue in our room. It has been a month now, with multiple calls to the hotel and still haven't received the full refund. I would absolutely aboid this hotel.
Expecting consistency from the french is almost like a sky high task. When we checked into the hotel, there were no towels in the bathroom. On the second day of our stay, only hand towels and floor mat were placed in our room. And almost like an upgrading style, the third day of the stay there were bath towels, hand towels and floor mat. Besides that, the bath sewage system takes forever to drain. I did not expect much for the price I was paying but seriously towels are a basic amenity of hotels (at least in Japan, even for the budget ones). The location is close to station and walking distance to Eiffel Tower though.
Near Eiffel Tower
The area was convenient. Staff was awesome and very nice.
Pay a little more and stay somewhere else
We stayed at this hotel 3 nights. It doesn't deserve a 2 stars. You get what you pay for.... If you're on a budget it might be ok as the location was great. Close to metro station and you can find good places to eat and a delicious bakery (Sacco). Air conditioning worked properly. Cons: no elevator with very narrow circled staircase which makes it hard to get luggage up to the second floor without any help from staff. Bed was ok but with hole in the bed sheets. Towels were very "harsh"...good if you want to scrub your skin instead of drying it. Tiles of bath flooring were coming out and corners of shower were dirty. No mini-fridge but I'm not sure what the standard is in Paris. We brought our own toiletry, otherwise I would not use theirs. Furniture were beat up. Staff was mixed, with some being friendly and others not at all. Would I stay here again? NO.
Price was right!
The hotel was perfect for what we want it. Near the train station and waking distance like 8 min from the Eiffel Tower. Nice and cozy and clean. The only thing is not elevator for 5 floor and our lugar was heavy. And only one clothes iron for the whole hotel and it took us a few atemps and few days of wrinkle clothes.
BAD
The hotel was nothing like it seemed in the photos , this hotel is giving false advertisement and it’s horrible! Turned up to hotel and room stank ... no cup facilities room had Rott , bathroom you couldn’t move shower was slow woudlnt drain dusty ..
Hotel is about 15 minutes walk to the Eiffel Tower. We had to walk up 5 floors to our room.
The bed wasn't comfy, the pillows were lumpy, and our TV was not working. Management said they would send someone to fix it and it never happened. It seemed like they already knew this and were unapologetic when I asked for a discount for it. Overall disappointed with the stay.
eh - wasn't the greatest hotel. No elevators and the toilet didn't work.
Would come back here!
Great location, close to Eiffel tower and metro station. Friendly, helpful staff. Good breakfast if you choose to eat here. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a short break in Paris.
Location!!!
Close to the Eiffel Tower, good price for the location however could be a little cleaner. Otherwise it was pretty good and we would stay again! Thank you!
Not brilliant but is okey ...not very clean , toilet sink is block ..kettle are broken :( requested one but did not give any in the end ..overall we managed ..very close to everything though thats the mean thing
We found a roach on one of the beds and the bathroom was clogged on our first day with a very foul odor.!!!
This is the worst hotel if there can be. No AC, no elevator for 4th floor and stairs so narrow that you cannot take your luggage up without slipping, bathrooms so small that you can only wash one part of body at a time, staff unhelpful and rude. Better off staying on street than this hotel. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL
Close to metro and walking distance to Eifel tower
Hotel staff is not very informative and very impatient, too quick in collecting Gratuities. Breakfast you pay €8 per day per person. Did not provide enough towel for the guess and soap. No AC just fan.
Good location
Price is high considering the facility provides nevertheless the hotel is in a very ideal location. Breakfast not included but one can have it at 8 euro, which is very reasonable. However, the hotel has no lift and only accessible by a narrow spiral stairs which is not recommended for the elderly or people with huge luggage.
Close to Eiffel Tower but very run down
The hotel is the closest to the Eiffel Tower without the price tag. It’s about 15-20mins walk to the Tower & about 3mins walk to Dupleix Station. The hotel is very run down and the bathroom is small & has a funky smell. I didn’t shower for 2 days because I didn’t want to use the shower. It is cheap though... but personally, I would avoid next time.
This hotel is well situated, our room was clean, the bed comfortable, the window opens, it's calm so everything you need for a good night's sleep. Unfortunately we were in transit with a very heavy suitcase and were on the 5th floor. I have a bad back so my daughter had to carry it up. We didn't have breakfast so I can't comment on that.
This place is not at all like the pictures. Very disapointing. The shower was very dirty. The area is fantastic with a quick easy metro stop and bars and restaurants nearby.
Stay away.
Worst hotel ever stayed. The bathroom and room is extremely small and not cleaned daily. The shower room door can not fully closed so a lot of water leaked to floor. The bathroom floor became very slippery with water. The window in bathroom is clear, so you are live streaming while taking shower. Towels are not changed after use. No lift, but having very tight and steep stairs. For the price, choose another place please.
Fairly good 2 Stars hotel. Nice people. Great (but a bit expensive) breakfast. Clean and good service. You need to bring your own toiletries.
Not a good choice
This hotel was not nice in any way...from the service to the cramped stairs with no lift to housekeeping telling you if you don't allow them in to clean (at 12) they would not be back until next day. It felt more like a motel.
Decent hotel close to public transport
Nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Short walk to public transport, restaurants and about a 15 min walk to Eiffel Tower. Only downside is no lift, so ask for lower levels if you can’t handle stairs.
satisfactory
The hotel was okay. You get what you pay for I suppose. They provided a kettle and microwave in the room however the kettle didn't work. I spoke to the receptionist and he wasn't surprised like it was a common occurrence. He gave us the option of taking water from the coffee machine downstairs.
Loved it
Excellent stay, friendly staff very clean room
The staff were very helpful and attentive to any question we had. The location is great too. Easy walk to metro station (less than five minutes) also close to Eiffel Tower.
