Good Location just outside of Madrid. Close to train station. Room was clean, breakfast was good.
I did not have heat for 5 of the 6 night stay and it was very chilly outside. There was also a very loud constant sound coming from the ceiling. The staff did not seem to even care that both things made the stay extremly unpleasant. They acted as everything was fine. This was my worst experience at any hotel ever.I was not able to sleep for 5 nights and showering in the cold felt like camping outside. I would never stay at a travelodge hotel ever again.
Very nice and the price is right
.
2 min from the train station very convenient. My room as 514 not sure why the last night there was like water sound next door could not sleep the whole night so get another room just in case. But the other 2 nights was quiet, breakfast was good and variety of food so i ate re there every morning. Staff nice and effective ❤️I would definitely go back.
It is nice to be close to the train station
The staff are very helpful and understanding we had issues with luggage’s misplaced by Iberia airlines and we ask them to have the luggage’s delivered to the hotel if found it was our temporary address. And we were assured of the safety of the items when receive. They staff was very accommodating to us.
Love the place close to the Corte Inglés if you need a few things and food all around the hotel sake and friendly staff
3 days stay at the hotel.
Staffs were great and the hotel is quite nice and clean. However I was disappointed to find out that there were no mini bars in the rooms.
Good, clean & very good breakfast.
Good hotel to stay in on our way to our holidays in Alcaucin. The room was a disabled room, and was large and very clean. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good, with a choice of cereals, pastries and cold meats and cheese, and fresh fruit. My only thing i could fault it was that there wasnt enough pillows for me, but overall, it was good! Thankyou!
Amazing and serene place
Cleanliness and beauty
Great stay with restaurants + very helping staff
It was a great locality and hotel is just a few steps from La Garana train station. And bunch of food options nearby. Room was perfect. Just that the AC was a little audible. Not that bothersome. Great to have a heating kettle in room. Best part - a nice restaurant on premise. And GREAT STAFF! Ladies at front desk were very helpful giving all information I needed, in English!! And so was the staff great in restaurant able to adjust to our dietary needs. Minor: Wish there were glassware instead of paper cups. And our bathmat was all soaked. But during cleaning, they just took it away without replacing it. We ended up putting a small towel for the purpose.
Doing some time better for the tourist fane esy the enter . The girl's fron desks. Better actictud . The waitress. Better actictud. In the dinner room.
All is good but door has loud squeecky sound and bathroom looks old. Not enough space to place personal hygiene stuff. Easy to access to many restaurants.
good value
pratictal location, close to restaurants, train, etc good value for a one nigth transit
Clean, staying was hassle free and stress less
Exercise Patience for the Receptionists disaster
Receptionist was not welcoming and sometimes rude. No telephone manners. I think management can do better by giving her refresher customer service training. Hotel was fine.
Ok.
Great hotel
Great place to stay, excellent food and very friendly staff
Nice, comfortable hotel
Nice, clean hotel close to La Garena station with it’s fast and frequent service to central Madrid. Free parking on site and a good WiFi connection. Check in was smooth. The room was clean but slightly dated. The bed was very comfortable and there was excellent air conditioning/heating available. We dined in the hotel restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Both meals were reasonably priced and the food was fine
Shower didn’t work properly. I askef for it to be fixed nothing was done about it.
The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful
I do not think at a hotel this modern that you have stand inside a slippy bath to have a shower!!! With no hand rail. Lethal
Friendly and helpful staff. Alcalá de Henares is a nice small city to visit with plenty of good places to have some tapas.
Great location, free wifi and secure parking Friendly staff and clean rooms
The hotel is perfect! Close to the La Garena train station and to many restaurants and bars. The access to the city center is also easy by train or bus.
Recommended
I love the staff at this hotel. They are all so friendly and helpful. The hotel is located right at a train station which is convenient to get around. The daily menu is excellent.
I used to work in the hotel industry. We stayed 5 nights. Well managed property, engaged staff and well kept. One employee in particular who shined was the night bartender. Went out of his way to provide service.
Great staff
Stayed here for the Champions league final , staff were extremely helpful . The hotel is clean and rooms are a decent size . Takes about 40 minutes to get to Madrid town centre direct via train on the station directly outside the hotel .
Very basic facilities, room not like it was in photograph when booking! Handy for bars and restaurants, a minute from train station.
Overall hotel
Everything was really good. Just I am still waiting for my 150 EU to be redound
Good overnight stop.
We have stayed at this hotel many times, as a convenient 1/2 way stop between Bilbao/Santander and the Costa del Sol. It is easy to access from the motorway system, and there is secure parking. There are many restaurants close by, and a large El Corte Ingles department store. The hotel is a few hundred metres from the railway station, from which there is a frequent and cheap service into the centre of Madrid.
We chose Campanile for its proximity to family and competitive price. Our room and bed were very comfortable. Staff were very welcoming and helpful.
Close to train station but not in city center will cost pretty penny to reach there
Super find
Great area very nice restaurants close by great walking paths. 15 mins to the Madrid airport
Great hotel
We have stayed in this hotel many times - we keep returning because we love the rooms, the locality and the friendliness of the staff. A definite treasure of a hotel.
Closer to the Airport
I only stayed for a night. Hotel was okay. Friendly people at front desk. Helpful. Room was standard. Nothing special to it. It's very close to a metro station and local restaurants.
A nice comfortable hotel that we have used several times in the past three years offering good service and clean and tidy rooms. will use it again if going in that direction
Pleasant staff, good restaurant. Nice place, but the smell. Ugh!!! I think it is what they use to clean because the entire hotel smelled like a bad diaper.
Location is very convenient for taking train into Madrid. Reception Staff was very attentive, helpful and friendly. Good parking. No in-room safe. Stairway doors were excessively noisy, creaking and clanging as people used them.
Poor checkout service
This is our second time staying at this hotel. This stay was better than the last except for check out. We had made reservations through Hotels.com and were to pay for the room at the end of the stay. At check out the male desk clerk said, "You're all set" I asked for a receipt, he said since it was booked outside of the hotel there was no receipt. He thought that the room was paid for through Hotels.com and I informed him that it was not. He became arguementive and said it was paid for and there is no receipt. We left and then of course got an email stating that there was a mistake and that we needed to pay. Very poor front desk service from at least the male attendant not to mention his poor attitude and I was only trying to pay for my bill.
We chose an off day
Our second time at this hotel but the staff seemed scratchy and under pressure. I will give it another chance but only one more.
The hotel was just right for our needs
We were interested in touring Madrid, and the hotel was very close to the train station. There were some convenient restaurants nearby for breakfast and late dinners. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I will stay there again.
Clean, kind service and pet friendly.
Very nice hotel. The service was very kind. The room was very clean and they are a pet friendly hotel which is great. They put us on a seven floor that had an incredible view of the center of the city and of the sunrise. Would fully recommend.
Clean hotel.Very helpful staff
All staff I encountered duyring my 2 recent 2 day stays were very helpful and obliging x
Fantastic location.
This is everything a Campanile used to be. With some up excellent to date additions.
Hotle with good transport links
Good out of city location close to all transport & moterways - easily excess able
This was the fourth time we have stayed at this hotel and felt the service had deteriorated. There were no towels in our room and we had to ask for them and were then only given two bath towels - no hand towel or bath mat. Ours was just a one night stay but previously we had no complaints.
GREAT HOTEL!!
Room was comfortable and clean but that is what you expect from a hotel anyway, isn't it?. I personally think that what really makes a difference in a hotel experience is the staff and the kind of service you get from them. This place could be a 3 star hotel but the staff and service you get from them belongs to a 5 star. Thank you Campanile
Hotel Companile is nice and recomend tourist
it was good connectivity of train from Madrid central station.
lack of food Restaurant closed Throughout the hotel were adverts for a takeaway service but when trying to order Was told it is not available
Good location
Nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was so so, cold eggs, cold meats that should have been hit. Free parking was limited as lot could only hold maybe 20 cars and no provisions if lot gets full. Great location due to proximity of bars and restaurants
Good budget hotel.
Overnight stop on way home to UK. Good restaurant and very friendly and helpful staff. (A big thankyou to the staff for their help when my wife had an accident that was no fault of theirs or the hotel.) Room is spacious, clean and comfortable although non-slip surfaces and grab handles need to be fitted in the bathroom.
Mid Spain rest
During both stays the staff were friendly and helpful. The proximity of the rail station allows car free access to Madrid. Excellent access to local bars and restaurants. Sadly one major criticism, the hotel restaurant is VERY poor. Breakfast (we attended at 0715)it had run out of food!
Stay somewhere else! A/C not working!
I arrived and was asked not just for my passport but for my wife’s as well! When I asked why the receptionist needed both passports, I was told very tersely” because I said so”. When quizzed about this, she said it was the law in Spain that ALL guests, even Spaniards had to present their passports at check in. Having stayed at a number of Hotels in Spain I have never had this said before. It then went even farther downhill. The room temperature was 29 deg C. So I tried to cool the room. All the unit would do was blow hot air, and make the room even hotter! The first receptionist said she would immediately take a look. We waited a short while and got the second receptionist to come up to the room. She said” Oh, it won’t blow cold air and cool the room until May! You will have to open a window! Why couldn’t she or the first receptionist told us that when we inquired at the desk, or better still when we checked in? Hopefully with an apology for having an A/C system that won’t give cooled air, if needed, until May! This is just unacceptable, not being able to control the room temperature. Especially when the Hotel is situated in a busy noisy area, therefore meaning that leaving the window open is not desirable. Additionally, we had to go and get the kettle changed because it was leaking, the Wi-Fi kept dropping out, and when the first receptionist was asked if she had a manager, she replied “no!” Can't recommend it. Suggest staying in the local Ibis Hotel
You don't need anything more
This was an overnight stop on our way to Costa del Sol. For a budget hotel no fault can be found. Room was large and comfortable. Lifts to all floors. Restaurant has limited menu but the food is excellent.
Poor Air Conditioning!
Air conditioning didn't work. Room temperature was 30C!
fit our needs
The hotel fit all of our needs. It was clean, had free parking, was near the train station, and was close to my sisters condo. The staff was very friendly and helpful. All for a very reasonable price. The only thing we missed was a safe in the room. I will definitely stay there again in the future.
Stayed here for local airshow and sight seeing.
Excellent staff! Good location being close to the main rail station and several good places to eat are close by. Would stay again no hesitation!
It was quite ok for one overnight stay!
The reception staff was very friendly and helpful! The bedline was not that clean but the comfort of the room was fair in general. The breakfast was only for survival, a limited range of sections. Big shopping mall nearby, train station nearby, lots of restaurants nearby. In general,a budget hotel and it worth for the money paid. Will stay for next time.
Good overnight stop
Great hotel for an overnight stop on a long journey from UK to Costa del Sol. Bed was quite comfortable in a good sized room. Restaurant is OK with basic menu but next to hotel is a small retail centre which has quite a few cafe/bar/restaurants. Did not try any of these so cannot comment. For the price paid I have no complaints and give it 5 rating for value for money.
Excellent service from friendly staff
Very suitable location. The weather was unusually warm for mid April and the air conditioning was not yet available, so the room was too warm on my first night. However, the staff were happy to change my room to one with a different orientation, which got less afternoon/evening sun. This solved the problem. Staff were very helpful with other requests for help/information/advice.I would consider staying here again
Good for overnight stay
Lots of restaurants right next door. Clean rooms, friendly staff
Clean, comfortable, great value
This hotel was perfect for two main reasons. The first reason is location: can walk directly to hotel from the La Garena train station, so no need to take a Taxi, even if you have a lot of luggage. It is literally less than 100 meters from the station. It is also very close to the Barajas airport - you are there within 15 by car, so it's a great place to stay the night before you fly out of Madrid. There are also many restaurants and shops in the same complex. The second reason is value: this was incredibly inexpensive for what you get. We had adjoining rooms with our kids. Everything was new, clean, and comfortable. Absolutely no complaints. There was also a nice breakfast buffet for a decent price. We will definitely stay one or two nights here every time we go to Alcala de Henares.
Convenient for autovia
Quick and friendly check in (in English). Good room with tea making facilities. Inexpensive but good breakfast. Ideal for stopover.
overnight stop
It was just an overnight stay and it fitted the bill
Handy for autoroute
Very impressed, clean and friendly staff. Free parking.
Great budget hotel
The hotel quality for the price we paid was up to par, exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival, the parking is free, outdoor, and somewhat secure because anyone can walk in but the hotel closes the entrance so no vehicles are allowed in without permission. The hotel receptionist quickly checked us in and provided us the Wi-Fi password free of charge. There is an elevator which is nice to have when you have multiple people with luggages. The room was small, simple, and clean. The bathroom could use some upgrading, but it got the job done. The location was not bad - a 45 minute train ride, or a 30 minute car ride to downtown Madrid. I recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Madrid and doesn't mind the distance.
Easy in/out
Fantastic newer hotel on the outskirts. It's inexpensive and comfortable. Free parking behind in a safe lot.
Good option
Really nice Hotel, the staff was ok, the place was near the train station, malls, and "el corte ingles". LIkes The bed was ok, the view was nice, close to the train. Unlike Free internet was wired, no minibar.
Far from el centro de Madrid, but comfortable.
Far from town, but 5 minute walk to train station. Don´t miss last train (11:45 p.m. I think from Madrid station) as we did cuz then had to take metro to bus stop and then taxi from last bus stop in Alcalares and didn´t get home til 3 a.m. Was a bit crammed as we had 3 people in the room and bit noisy on the second morning from what sounded like construction work somewhere in hotel. Many restaurants and bars in plaza next door, as well as banks/shops nearby. Free parking in lot behind hotel and more on streets if needed.
Nice for a quick stop
Staff was nice. The room was clean and very basic. The bed was very comfy. The restaurant was closed but there where many places close to eat. I ate at Tony Romas because the menu was in English and it was good. The hotel staff spoke English and were friendly. I had a layover it was a 32 Euro ride each way. The wifi was only in lobby area and would be nice to have in room.
Family stay
Very clean and courteous hotel and staff. The rooms are typical of Spain, small for families but comfortable.
Excellent service, 15 minutes from the airport Barajas, clean room, a little bit hard to find, but deserves it.
Good Option Outside Madrid
It's a modern and new building. Excellent room and bathroom. Free parking and Internet. Nice breakfast buffet. Friendly staff. They have a restaurant but it closes on Saturdays. Next to the hotel there is a mall with several options for snacks and dinner.
Highly recommended
The comfiest bed EVER. best nights sleep we have had in years. breakfast was lovely - full english. staff very helpful. secure gated parking.
It's more of a hostel than a hotel
The location of this hotel is really great. With a range of mountains in the back drop. The vicinity has a commercial complex which is the same as a mall here in North America. However the motel itself is more like a hostel compared to Europe's standards. The room were really small like a 4X4 or maybe a 3X3. The rates were pricey compared to the actual condition of the rooms.
Not as nice as the photo
Hotel was very nice but the room was not nearly as nice as the photo in the advertisement. If you stay here don't go over the bridge looking for food because there's not much there.
VERY PLEASEN STAY
