Old hotel but perfect for 1 night stay in Pisa as next to the station. Staff were just amazing and so helpful.

Ok for one night. Very basic hotel not remodeled or refurbished but very close to the airport (8min by taxi). The bathroom was clean and water was hot. Mattress had a memory foam topper and was comfortable.

The hotel is close to the central station, airport and the city centre. A short walk or ride from main attractions in Pisa. We are return visitors. The staff are lovely.

The location near the train and airport made it a great spot for an inexpensive, overnight stay. The staff are terrific and incredibly helpful. Super clean rooms and bathrooms. The locale for tourist activities closer to the tower is average and unfortunately, there’s not a lot of nearby choices for dining.

Not your typical chain hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Period furniture everywhere giving character to the place. Recommend.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and ample for our one overnight stay. We didn’t have time in the morning for breakfast so cannot comment on that. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the main train station.

Overall room was was in bad shape. The shower was tooo small like 2x2 ft. I will not recommend this hotel unless you are not finding any other

The street looks a little scary when arriving at night but is probably safe due to enough people being out and about. The noise was somewhat abated by the shutters. Most of the staff was friendly and very helpful. The overnight desk clerk was not so nice. We had a half bottle of wine left from our dinner down the street and he would not even let us use wine glasses.

Good location close to airport

Prompt informative welcome and in the evening made good recommendation for a restaurant. Good location to get to airport, room was large, quiet and good breakfast. Arrived 2 hours early then check in after a looong drive we needed access to a bathroom. Unfortunately they said there one in the lobby was out of service and a service person was on their way. Disappointing there was no offer to use one anywhere else in the hotel…or even where a public one might be. When we did get to our room obvious black mold around the tub needed to be addressed.

Wine was seved in their garden.

Good location close to the train station and walking distance to shopping and all the sites. It was charming and very lovingly maintained. Our room was large and full of beautiful antiques and nice features.

Check-in was quick and easy. Hotel staff were all very friendly, helpful and informative. We asked for a recommendation for our evening meal and their suggested restaurant was excellent. Our room was equipped with everything we needed, including a good range of toilettries. Really comfy bed. Some low traffic noise, but the hotel is in a city, so that's to be expected.The continental breakfast was really tasty with lots of different options. Hotel is really close to train station (5 minutes walk). Great for links to other towns and cities, plus Pisamover to airport. Wish we could have stayed longer. Cannot recommend enough. This is a family run hotel and their dedication and commitment to their guests shines through. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Very welcoming, comfortable beds, sweet little bar area and we had delicious cocktails in the quiet garden. Above all, HELPFUL! My mother left her phone in the bedroom but as there is always someone in Reception (it’s family run), we were able to call from the airport and they found it straightaway. My husband was able to nip back in a taxi and they had it ready for us. Fantastic place.

The hotel has a cute exterior and is located within a few minutes walk from Pisa Centrale, the main train station. The guy at the front desk in the evenings is friendly and helpful, although apart from him there isn’t much customer service. The room is clean and value for money. However, I would probably try something more central next time. This hotel was a bit out of the way, and there are many options closer to food and attractions.

Really friendly staff. We got an upgrade to a suite which was really appreciated. Great recommendation from staff for a restaurant in town for a lovely evening meal. Would return to this Hotel again.

When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by Marco, a very welcoming desk manager. He went out of his way to check us in, assist with luggage and generally give us as much information as possible. We had a great stay here and would definately recommend this hotel.

The hotel was excellent very clean with very friendly helpful staff. The room and bathroom were sapcious with plenty sockets to charge phones etc. The location is excellent for access to the Train station

Hotel was quaint and friendly! However, we will never return to PISA. Horrible to visitors. Scam them with their "validation" trick on the bus even though they know you paid.

Property itself was clean and beds comfortable, and beautiful room - however our AC didn’t work properly. ( wasn’t a huge problem) Breakfast was superb! My only complaint- I didn’t like the location; on a side street that wasn’t well lit. ( Felt unsafe to me, glad my husband was with me!)

It was a 10 min walk from train station, 20 min walk to tower. Easy check in, staff arranged shuttle to airport. Cleanliness: dirt/ debris on sheets once beds opened up. Some mildew on bathroom ceiling and toilet seat nearly came off when sat upon.

Our stay was nice. Room was clean and adequate. Staff is present 24 hours and always available for assistance. The area feels more local and less touristy.

Accomadating Stay

What wonderful one night stay. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Very accomadating with 1100am checkout.(most have 10am) and by allowing luggage to be stored. After afternoon in Pisa was able to rest and charge phone in the lobby. Would definitely recommend.

This was the best place to stay during our visit to Pisa. The staff were really helpful. The bedrooms were clean and very large and comfortable. Quiet. Overall, great place to stay!

It's nice and clean, close to the station. We didn't like the mattress, it was too soft, so soft that my wife had backache by the morning.

It was clean and tidy. Breakfast was very expensive, but limited choice. There wasn't tea or coffee in the room.

Lovely Pisa

Our flight was cancelled and so we only stayed one night but staff were so lovely, great location and fabulous local restaurant. And in the morning a taxi on time to take us back to airport. Will stay again for long weekend.

Beautiful Boutique Hotel

We stayed one night. The shower had a major leak and we told the front desk and they reacted like they already knew it and said they'd report it to the maintenance person. The bedding was horrible. Every thing was really old. The pillows, blankets, & spread must have been 50 years old. The window covering wouldn't open so no natural light in the room at all..Front desk people were terrific and the stay went all downhill from there. I'd compare it to a very old Super 8 here in the US.

This is a superb place to stay in Pisa. The owners are great, very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is a very short walk from the train station (5mins) and not much further from the main street. Our room was spotless, breakfast was great too. Strongly recommend.

Small, but clean and the price is right. Then neighborhood wasn't conducive to just walking out and finding a cute bar or restaurant but the staff was great when it came to making recommendations. Breakfast was excellent -- de-caf cappuccino was very much appreciated.

We arrived near midnight after our plane was delayed & received a warm welcome by a very helpful & understanding receptionist. We awoke late the next morning to a wonderful breakfast (that they continued serving later than normal to accommodate us) & enjoyed dining in there charming exterior courtyard. Staff was exceptional!

Hotel Alessandro Della Spina is like an oasis in the middle of the desert. We had a lovely big room with three single beds for me and my two children and a lovely big bathroom. The buffet breakfast in the pretty garden was delicious and the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. We sat out late one night playing cards and they brought me the most delicious white wine. It was a short walk to the main shopping street and about half an hour walk to the Tower. We were very happy!

Stayed here after a late flight to Pisa. Comfortable room, but in need of an update. Cold buffet breakfast wasn’t good for husband who is lactose intolerant. Staff pleasant. Handy for train station.

Good accommodation near the train station

The hotel is in good condition and very comfortable. It is a few blocks from the train station (convenient, but not the best surroundings). The rooms look old-fashioned, but the comfort level is high. Everything we needed worked, the breakfast was good, hotel staff were welcoming.

Friendly staff, good breakfast, very clean and with towels changed everyday. Great base for visiting other places near to Pisa only five to ten minutes walk from the central station. Easy to get to Lucca and Florence and other locations by train and bus. Traditionally decorated and furnished which makes you feel you are staying in Tuscany.

Lovely hotel. 5 minute walk from Pisa Central train station. Only a 25 minute walk to Leaning Tower, as you walk thru the tourist area. Would stay again if I returned to Pisa. Felt safe as a solo female traveller.

Very disappointing

Expensive for what it was, old fashioned and the room was cold with a hard bed even though we had a junior suite. Bathroom was very basic and the quality of the food at breakfast and beverages was poor. There was no hot food provided.

We only spent one night here as we were getting a very early flight from Pisa airport, therefore chose this hotel for both its proximity to the train station (as we were arriving from Florence) and to the airport. The lady who met us at the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Our room was also very nice and clean and traditionally decorated, which was lovely. Bathroom large and clean and a good shower. Comfy bed too and the extra pillows in the wardrobe were welcome! The lounge area just off reception was lovely and we sat there for a wee while before bed, also using the hotel bar for a pot of tea! We couldn’t fault anything about the hotel during our very short stay and would use it again should we return to Pisa!

Lovely breakfast buffet. Lots of choices and excellent quality. A small hotel, very handy to central station, but tucked off of main streets. Excellent customer service. Everything was pleasant. Pisa had a nice pedestrian street down to river. we enjoyed it.

An easy walk from Pisa Central Station. If flying, take the Pisa Mover from the airport (2.70 euros November 2018). We were able to walk everywhere from the hotel and enjoyed being south of the Arno. The hotel staff were very friendly. We appreciated the comfort of the sofas in the lobby area.

Visit to Pisa

We used this hotel for a two night stop. I picked it as it was near the railway station which was within easy walking distance. The hotel is located away from the main tourist area but this can be reached on foot about 20min easy stroll through the main shopping streets, where you can stop for coffee.

this was my 3rd visit to this hotel and would happily return. Family run, excellent friendly atmosphere. Very helpful advice for restaurants and train journeys etc.

We picked the Alessandro Della Spina because of the excellent reviews and wasn't disappointed. The staff were very helpful and professional. The hotel is quiet and within 5 minute walk from the railway station. We had a lovely continental breakfast to start the day.
