Bad area really old area of city, rooms freezing cold and electricity lost for 6 hours plus a day not good !

Hotel Mas Arte is a small boutique style hotel close to the happening area of Plaza Foch in Quito. The staff goes above & beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable & safe. Stay here without hesitation, for the price it is certainly the best deal & location in the city !

Great hotel with helpful staff!

I had a great stay in this hotel, in one of the suites, newly renovated and well appointed. The rooms were quiet. The staff was very helpful and maintained the room and premises very clean. The hotel door is always locked for added security, this is a convenient walkable location to La Mariscal and neighbor areas.

I felt like home

A poor quality hotel in a scruffy area. Unhelpful staff spoke no English. Basic room which was only in truth a 2 star hotel

No problems, just a small issue with the hot water on arrival but it was taken care. Friendly staff as always , clean room with all the amenities, good clean bathroom, conveniently located.

It's very private nobody bothers and you can book a tour or a taxi/Uber pick up. I can call them before arriving with the airplane for a pick up and a driver will be waiting with my name on a sign. Very friendly staff who do your laundry load for $4.

Good security, safe location. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Staff were always very friendly to us.

Great stay, no complaints. Good, conveniently located hotel with friendly staff and good service. Nice clean room with all the amenities as well as a good size bathroom with plenty of hot water and amenities, lots of restaurants nearby and safe location.

Good clean and centrally located hotel, friendly staff and good service.

Overall a nice place. It was $14 a night, so manage your expectations. If you’re looking for something more “modern” I’d check out the Swissotel or the Radisson. It has more of a hostel vibe, but the staff was very nice and very accommodating from the beginning. The only negative was that on our last day/next morning there was no water pressure. It would have been nice to shower since we had a full day leading right into a late night flight home. I’m not sure if it was a property issue or city issue.

The staff Mayra and the other lady were excellent they help me in everyway imaginal they have excellent customer service.

Carlos was very helpful, he arranged for me to get my rental car returned locally instead of driving it back to the airport. He also had many suggestions of things to do in the area. I will be going back there again before my stay in ecuador is over.

Nice place! Clean and cheap! What I was looking for...

Maya, who checked me in, was very kind. She also called a cab for me for the next AM to get to the airport. They had bottled water, the linen was clean and I slept well.

Lovely Hotel In Quito!

Hotel Mas Arte Is A Nice Little Hotel In A great location. Centro Hsitorico Minutes Away, Great Dinning Nearby In Plaza Foch. The Hotel is very Eco-friendly they encourage you to reuse towels and save water! Also hotel has hot water 😊

Staff very friendly and helpful the room was cleaned every day.

The hotel is secure and staff is very friendly . Parking may not be easy but can be done on the streets

Quiet, convenient location. Room (non-suite) was small, but good value for price. Staff was very accommodating. Be prepared to practice your Spanish with them if that's not your first language! :)

GREAT location. Right by Plaza Foch but not too close where you will hear the music and partying all night long. Most day tours pick up in Plaza Foch also.

I had called the hotel from Florida that I would be arriving after midnight. The person on the phone assured me that they will open the door ( it appears that the check-in time is before 9pm) . If they had said they would not be able to open the door I would have booked another hotel. When I reached the hotel we pressed the buzzer and called several times but the caretaker apparently fell asleep. So I had to book another hotel and had to pay an additional taxi fare. The next morning I called the hotel several times between 9 am and 10 am to make sure they would open the door. After several calls the caretaker answered the phone and assured me that he would open the door. When I reached the hotel the caretaker just said that he was fast asleep and did not hear the bell. I was very annoyed and asked to speak to the manager or proprietor. They were not to be disturbed because it was Saturday morning The service was very poor. I had to ask for towels, toilet paper and soap. There was no coffee or tea in the room. I don’t know how they received a 3 star rating. On Monday morning I checked out after paying for 3 nights stay there was no apology from mangement.

Lovely boutique Hotel

This hotel it’s so charming. I stayed here for 2 nights after a very long flight from Chile to Panama and then Quito and as soon we got the room we knocked out. Room and bathroom were spacious, but the winner here was the bed. Not sure if this hotel its new but the bedding a was so good, comforter was so fluffy and pillow were good too. We loved our stay on this hotel, only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because you could hear noises if you facing the street and if you are in interior you could hear some noises if your neighbor are loud. Other than this Hotel + Arte was great, love the convenience of the location and stuff around to do.

The front desk was often unattended and even when there was somebody stationed there, nobody spoke a word of English.

Worst Management

Hotel canceled the reservation 5 hours prior to my international, cost me money to find a new hotel. Will not recommend the hotel to anyone.

Hotel + Arte. Great small hotel in quiet area

I have stayed at Hotel + Arte a few times and have always had a good experience. The bed is comfortable and the rooms are nicely decorated. The location is quiet and residential but also not too far from Plaza Foch for nightlife and restaurants. I would definitely stay again.

Great, but beware a plethora of noisy dogs

Good location, good people and staff. Comfortable bed. I recommend. However, had to change room because of a neighbor's five dogs. Began barking early in the morning and did not stop until late evening. Can't stand dogs and these were the worst.

Could not check in and no response from hotel?

We booked on Expedia and prepaid for the stay, Expedia noted that check in was at 10am which is one of the reasons we chose the hotel as we were going to be arriving in the morning after a very long bus ride so wanted to be able to sleep as soon as possible. We arrive at 8am to either check in early or at least leave our bags and there is no one at reception and it was completely deserted. We also note above the desk that check in is only 3pm and not 10am! We call the number on the front door as well as the number on Expedia. We never get answered. We then had to find a new hotel and pay more money. I have now emailed and called the hotel several times after this event but have had no response. I've also had Expedia try contact the hotel but they have had no luck on several occasions either. I want a refund but they cannot even answer a phone or email! It has been over 2 weeks!

A Little Peace and Quiet in Quito

Nice little hotel, very clean and quiet which is a welcome relief in Quito. Staff very friendly and accommodating and even stayed longer than expected. Fully recommend this hotel.

Good location

Located on the very quiet street but close to restaurants and bar( Plaza Foch area) only about 5-10 minutes walk. It's a very very simple hotel match with the room price..no heater the room so can be pretty cold at night but they have thick blankets so was ok for us. I would give 5* if our bedroom door had a better curtains not the see through ones from outside, also the windows should have double curtains. For better privacy.

Great little boutique hotel near heart of action

Hotel + Arte is a fantastic hotel on a nice quiet street located a couple of blocks from Plaza Foch in the heart of the action. The wifi worked great, the breakfast was delicious (at a cafe around the corner), and the service was great. Highly recommend for any traveler to Quito.

Great hotel for the price

My wife and I stayed six nights. We booked this place last minute and didn't know what to expect. The price was low and the location great so we took the chance. Honestly one of my finer decisions. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean, and the location was walking distance of Plaza Foch. Overall a great stay, especially for the price!

Good, but last night it was noisy.Washing machine

Good. Could have been better. Next door guest lady were speaking so loud after 11:00 p.m. Same situation with laundry. Machines were working to late.

Nice hotel

The staff very friendly and courteous. I recommend this hotel is close to the city center. The metro and bus accesible. The breakfast very good and the waiters excellents. Quiet place you don't going to have any problems at night time. Close the supermarket and plaza Foch where you can find a lot of restaurants and night life is very nice.
