Our stay in Puerto Iguazú

The hotel is basic but comfortable and clean. The reception staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. We only used the room to sleep as we were exploring and it was completely suitable for our purposes.

Location was ok..It was quite..staff was excellent.. The WIFI is non existent in room and was too slow in lobby...plenty of places work well a few blocks away.. shower needs fixing...pretty basic for price

I arrived in Iguazu during the peak season. It was pretty much an extended day trip from Buenos Aries. Most other hotels were either fully booked or priced to high for my short overnight stay. This hotel offered a reasonable price for reasonable accomodations. Although the rooms were rather spartan in regards to decor and furnishings, they were clean enough gor me, the ac worked and the water was hot. The staff was friendly and helpful. Old fashioned key and lock-hadnt seen yhat for a while! No safe in the room but can use the safe at front desk if need be. Overall I felt safe and secure The biggest downside for me was that the pleasant indoor courtyard that the rooms open to was noisey when I was trying to sleep earlier in the evening. Would not reccomend as a destination hotel if you plan to spend several days-but not a bad place to crash while waiting to your flight back to Buenos Aries.

Terrible experience with hotel manager, I will never go back again, please don't book this hotel.

The hotel is convenient because is in the downtown area, the room is simple and clean but it smells may be due to the humidity and the washroom has a lot of moldes and mildews on the wall. The wifi was not working for the first two days that we were there and can only be connected in the lobby. The door knob to the room was loose and we do not feel safe at all there. The breakfast provided were poor, water not hot enough for tea, coffee tastes week, a lot of sweet cakes in the morning but no bread that can make toast. The hotel is supposed to pick us up at the airport but no body came, We waited a long time and had to take a taxi to the hotel ourselves. The staff there said that we had to send an e-mail to confirm the flight and time of arrival to them 24 hrs in advance which Hotel.Com didn't advise us nor any mention on their website. Overall I would rate it poor.

Good hotel in the right location.

This hotel is in a very good location in Iguazu town,great service & very convenient to walk to nearby bus,taxi terminal, restaurants, supermarket & shops. This hotel is very comfortable to live in esp., after a long day out in the national Iguazu Falls park.

Don't do it!

This hotel will not be considered acceptable for most US travelers. I have stayed in hostels and crappy hotels before, so I thought I could rough it, but this place was beyond what I expected. First of all, their "free wifi" is false advertising; there is NO wifi or other internet access in any of the rooms. The photos are heavily filtered and edited, because my experience was not well represented by the Expedia photos. The rooms are very old and moldy, the toilets are plastic and don't actually flush (they just add water on top of whatetever is put in them, so you are stuck with what goes in the toilet until it slowly seeps out itself), any time you take a shower the entire bathroom floods, there is a SINGLE light in the room and no lamps, the television didn't work, and the curtains are so thin that they don't block any outside light from coming through. As for the included breakfast, well if you like three-day old bread, you are in luck, because there is as much of that as you want... and you better eat as much of it as you can, otherwise you will see the same pieces presented day after day. I had mixed impressions of the staff: the women were very kind and courteous, but the men were rude. The weirdest thing is that you have to leave your roomkey at the front desk each time you leave, and you get it back but walking up to the front desk and telling them the room number (they don't ask for a name, for your ID, or anything, so anyone could get any key).

No hot shower

Cons- Very poor room condition. No hot shower (unacceptable in the cold weather), very weak shower, toilet doesnt flush well, no phone in the room (room description said there would be) so i need to run to the reception for every small question i had. No wifi in the room, i only managed to use the lobby wifi as my room is luckily right above the reception. Room door was broken inside, no safety issue though. Breakfast is a variety of bread, which is very hard...perhaps that is Argentina style, I am not sure, but I dont enjoy. Pros- perfect location, very close to the bus terminal and restaurants. Staff would assist you with bus schedule and taxi service.

The hotel is clean and it is close to bus stop. There is no street name on the street and I missed the hotel name plate hung out at the other side of the street so it's hard for me to find the hotel. The reception helped me to book a shuttle bus to airport from hotel for AR60. This hotel is good for budget travelers.

Hotels have hefty Argentinian fee added on.

Good location very near the bus station. Good value for the money. Beware there is an Argentine fee added onto hotels of about 15%.

Good Place to Stay and Conveniently Located

Finding a nice hotel for under $100 in Puerto Iguazu is not easy. I stayed at Hosteria Los Helechos for three nights. For the price in Puerto Iguazu this is a good choice but don't expect too much. The front desk person was nice and helpful but I think the hotel needs some freshening up, especially room 2. It was probably pretty good 20 years ago. There is a nice pool and breakfast is included. There are also some places to sit and hang out. It is conveniently located near the bus station and within walking distance to what Puerto Iguazu has to offer.

Older-Style Rooms/Hotel in a Good Location

Located very close to the main bus station, a short walk to restaurants and supermarkets, and only a little further to the main centre on foot. Rooms are courtyard style, dated, but perfectly functional and clean, the air-con is older style and copes most of the time, the room also has a ceiling fan to top up. Wifi is best in reception area. Breakfast is buffet-style and carb-laden (bread, cake etc), so is adequate for filing, but not exactly fine dining. In all, good, older-style accommodation in a good area.

Do not stay there!

Dirty, old hotel that needs total renovation. Holes in the walls, squeezed mosquitoes on the curtains. The door could be pierced with a finger and the lock opened with a tooth-pick. Old and extremely noisy A/C and fans. Very old bathroom, no shampoo or soap. Breakfast is very poor – just pastry! Credit card terminal did not work. No safe. To give this ”hotel” three stars is a joke. Never again.

The room I stayed is very bad. Not clean, It's near to the reception where is noisy. WHen I checked in the room, I dont think it was cleaned up as I still saw the gargage in the bathroom. Overall, the room is very dirty and very bad. Definitly, I dont recommed it.

Good but can be better

The hotel is very well locate near restaurants and the bus terminal. Breakfast could be better, they offer only bread, coffee and cereal. The shower is a little bit tedious because the curtain is not big enough to cover the water, therefore bathroom floor gets vert wet. Other than that is Good!

Simple rooms, beautiful gardens and clean pool

As the title indicates, the rooms are simple, with basic necessities, but clean. The staff was very helpful, and location is very good. The pool is very clean and refreshingly cool, and the gardens were a nice touch.

I wish I stayed at the nearby cheaper hostel   Main issues: 1) the room only had 1 electric plug - in the bathroom. When I asked about this, the receptionist suggested I could charge my phone at the reception (?joke)... 2) I had issues with checking in and out. At first they couldn't find my reservation, so they pushed me aside and dealt with two other customers that came after me. While I waited, nothing has changed and he magically found my reservation. On check out,  another receptionist asked me to pay for the room. I had to repeat 3 times that I already paid online, before she called the office to ask. She said a few times that she didn't have the proof I paid. Overall unprofessional staff. Even though most rooms were empty, they did not allow me a two hour late check out - very unaccomadating. Also the night I checked in I was looking for water. The receptionist and a waitress were chatting in front of the beverage fridge. He told me the restaurant closed an hour ago and I could buy water at a shop 3 min walk from here. I asked if he couldn't just sell me one from the fridge and he said no. I guess making an already angry customer walk in a new town after 1130pm makes more sense than reaching his arm to open the fridge.   3) the hotel has an old decaying feeling. There were broken tiles on the floors. bathroom flooded each time I took a shower, fortunately they left a squielgee so I can clean with ease. There are also several rooms facing a closed courtyard with poor air circulation and I could smell the mould I'm allergic in one of these rooms when they inially placed me there. Luckily they moved me 4) room cleaning service doesn't come unless you leave the keys with them. No one informed me of this. I had no energy to step out to have someone clean the room after 12hr at the falls 5) pool is not very clean - covered with small plant stuff and insects. Even my pool in bali jungles was cleaner 6) I wasn't expecting much from breakfast but they could at least have fresh bread...

Hotel bien ubicado, sencillo y el personal super amable

Los Helechos está muy bien para el precio. Es simple y algo vieja, pero limpia y bonita. Los patios interiores son hermosos, las camas cómodas. El desayuno más o menos pero el café muy rico. Queda súper práctica para quien se quiere mover con colectivos de línea, ya que está cerquita de la estación central. También tiene a la vuelta lindos restaurantes y la casa de los colibríes.

Nos gustó la ubicación . Pero demasiado sucio, no apto para renta.

Hosteria sencilla.

Buena ubicacion a una cuadra de la estacion de micros, buena pileta y dispenser de agua caliente en el lobby, nos dieron la habitación temprano al llegar lo cual se agradece, desayuno badico/regular...sencillo y sin lujos, economico.

Para lo q yo fui a hacer en mi visita a misiones no necesitaba mas q lo q la hosteria me brindo, una cama, una ducha, una tele, agua caliente, un buen desayuno, una pileta para refrescarme, si me pongo en exquisito hay detalles q cambiandolos podrian hacer del lugar un hospedaje mas esteticamente lindo y moderno, pero bueno, para mi fue suficiente, no esperaba mas, la tarifa fue muy accesible...

Instalación agradable. bellos espacios de naturaleza para descansar o tomar un mate. El desayuno podría mejorar.

Muy amables, buen servicio. Es un hospedaje económico no lujoso, muy buena ubicación.

Mentirosos!!!

La habitacion no era la publicada. Los colchones taban unidos no era cama matrimonial. La cortina de la ducha era de tela,corta y con olor. No dan shampu. Nos dieron 6 jaboncitos para 3 personas en 4 dias. Faltaban enchufes. El olor a cloaca era insoportable. La tele era vieja y chica parecia un huevo de pascua que se rifa en pnaderia..de ese tamaño. El sanguche de jamon y queso y la medialuna eran viejos y de frios. La atencion de los trabajadores fue lo mejor.

Super vriendelijk en attent personeel. Gelet op prijs/kwaliteit verhouding heel ruim voldoende. Er is wat achterstallig onderhoud maar alles werkt prima. Receptie denkt goed mee en geeft prima opties.

Calidad precio está bien, pero la limpieza de la habitación …. Con una mano de pintura sería fantástico.

O primeiro quarto que fomos alocados estava com forte cheiro de mofo. Após falarmos na recepção o atendente foi super eficiente e achou outro em boas condições. Hotel é razoável mas para um pernoite rápido atende.

Muchas gracias Hoteles.com, de las dos noches reservadas solo utilicé una, ya que no era lo esperado o al menos lo contratado, igualmente me cobraron el IVA al salir (la primera vez que me cobran en el establecimiento), ya que el costo de la habitación se sirvieron de la tarjeta de crédito. A la gente recomiendo no guiarse por las fotografías y en lo posible evitar este tipo de reservaciones, aunque atente contra los intereses de la página (yo ya aprendí la llección y no repito la operación NUNCA MÁS). Nunca más.

Había pulgas en l cama y la mochila del baño estaba rota. Perdió agua e hizo un ruido terrible toda la estadía. El televisor se veía horrible y el control remoto casi no andaba. Lo único bueno la limpieza en las áreas conpartidas.

En general brindan un buen servicio, decepcionante por no contar con cochera para estacionamiento. Teníamos una camioneta cargada con herramientas.

Les chambres sont quelconques, bon rapport qualité prix. Petit charme grâce à la cour intérieur. Dommage qu’il n’y ait pas de clim dans les chambres. Le personnel est très gentil, bon hôtel

La hosteria tiene habitaciones correctas. Como para pasar la noche y paseas. Las áreas comunes son agradables. El desayuno es abundante, pero con muchas harinas y poca disponibilidad de frutas o jugo. No tiene estacionamiento como dice. Solo hay unos seis lugares afuera de la hosteria bajo techo.

Lindo hotel, tranquilo y cerca del centro de iguazú .personal muy atento.

Close to the bus station

The common areas were fine, there is a restaurant opened until late inside the hotel. The rooms were not really cleaned and missing some maintenance.

Foi péssima tentei contato mas vcs não responderam fiquei incomunicável pois o local nem oferecia internet decente! Troquei de quarto 3 vezes todos insalubres com muitas baratas insetos e limo nos banheiros, além de cabelos por toda parte... nunca fiquei num local deste
