I stayed in a private room which very clean. The en-suite was a good size. Clean bedding and towels were available daily which was great. The only downside was the hostel was very noisy and felt unsafe walking around at night.

Very clean and safe in the premises. Walking distance to transport hub and CBD malls.

Expensive but clean and organised

I only stay to sleep one night nothing else. Fresh sheets and towel and quiet room, that’s all I wanted so it was good

Cost effective, clean, extremely comfortable beds in the twin room with ensuite. Definitely recommend to anyone. I'm nearly 60 travelling with my 70 year old Aunt and we were both pleasantly surprised.

Everything was great,.However they need to clean out those fridges and introduce a system to manage the contents on an ongoing basis. Goodness knows what science experiments are going on at the back…

Best hostel in perth

As everything in Perth this place is a bit pricey. Got a dorm room and immediately asked for a private after a snoring roomate. The private room was nice and clean. Very noisy as i think theres a gym next door. Noise stops at 10pm. Cant complaint as this is a hostel

Good place with a lot of comodities, close to perth station Very clean

Accommodation underwhelming. Main lobby area/guest socializing area nice, lots of options for entertainment like pool or fuseball tables. However, for the room; No space for luggage. Bathroom sink and shelf was extremely small, no room to place toiletries bag. The noise was the worst part. Our first night was scary, people banging on room doors and screaming. Our door was attempted to be forced open multiple times yet there says there is security present monitoring things. This lasted almost an hour and no way to contact front desk from room for assistance unless you have a working phone mobile number. When we attempted to speak with staff the next day, we waited at check in desk for almost 20 minutes with no one showing up to speak with. Location was good for train access and into town. Overall I understand it’s a hostel but for the price of a hostel was bare for the rooms.

I LOVED this property best hostel I have stayed at. It cost more than others in the area and I only stayed here one night because I needed a later check in but if I could have done this trip differently I would have paid the additional price to stay at this place the whole time. #worththeprice

Someone has to tell the blokes upstairs not to drag the beds across their floor in the middle of the night; that floor is my ceiling. And jumping from the top bunk at 3am is certainly not a fun activity for those attempting to sleep on the level below you, either! At least the coffee is good so, after practically no sleep I was still able to stay awake for the workshops the next day … The mildew in the bathroom has got away from you since last month’s visit. And there were no toiletries so, maybe someone pinched them?

Very clean; friendly staff; excellent coffee available from on-site cafe from 8 am. Parking situation has recently changed - must download government parking payment app; however, once this was done, payment was simple and could be completed remotely.

Anti slip rubber pads shall be fixed to the bunker bed ladders. Arrangement of parking shall be available for customers at owner's risk. Heater wasnt working during morning time while it was raining.

Communal lounge area v worn Bathroom in all female room just wasn’t cleared out, nor toilet rolls replaced Lots of ignorant, selfish guests, always just barging in at queue at reception. Or in tje room leaving the light on all night until 2am. Whilst another woke @ 4am each weekday to shower, assuming as she was going to work A lot of permanent residents in this hostel too

Perfect solo accommodation.

Super easy check in, great rooms with comfortable beds

You have to make your bed for your stay and strip it when you leave. Bathroom was not particularly clean - walls had bits stuck to them etc. The rooms could do with another mirror so that when the bathroom is occupied with others showering, using the toilet or getting changed, someone can at least brush their hair or apply makeup. Noisy within Hostel and from outside. No bin near the entry so those sitting outside to smoke or chat leave garbage around. The location is very good. Walking distance to central Perth/ Northbridge.

I really enjoyed the stay at hostel G . To be honest I had never had a good experience with hostels before but honestly this place was incredible. Easier walk to shops, restaurants. Staff were cleaning the rooms every day. And the room I stayed had a prefect clean bathroom. But only thing was the AC was not working properly. Unfortunately the day I was checking out I caught a cold because of that. Other than totally recommend this facility to everyone who’s visiting Perth city. Very much affordable place for everyone.

Payed for a night had Government issued photo ID but after taking my money on arrival I was denied accommodation because I didn't have a passport or a driver's licence ... Because of them I slept on the street. No refund possible they did not give a hoot. My caravan was stolen with passports and licence...

It's a youth hostel so don't expect too much. Nice clean rooms at a good price. Common areas are a bit grubby

Very nice room, good value for money

Convenient location. Close to Perth train station, shops, restaurants and bars. The hostel has spacious public area where has lots of chairs and tables.

Good location, better than many other backpacker's. Still a bit sterile an a little expensive. Staff were helpful but not especially friendly

I like the location and cleanliness.

Got harrassed in the room by a guest who didn't like me praying there and she called the staffs and I was asked to pray at the corridor??? She wore shoes in the room, the room is dusty and looked like no one cleans it daily. Terrible and traumatizing experience

Good in so many ways, but with faults

I stayed in private room which was really good, just wish they had provided soap. The bedroom was really clean, but the kitchen was a disappointment, as it wasn't cleaned regularly, the draining board was dirty so any dishes cleaned where then dirty once placed on drainer. There was limited plates, bowls etc. No glasses and only paper cups instead of mugs which were limited. There was saucepans but no hob to cook on? Although there was some air fryers which was handy. Great seating areas they were massive and had pool tables and a large cinema area with a projector. Great that can check in late at night, as I had late arrival and was in good location.

Stayed for 3 nights. It was fantastic. Staff were kind and helpful, cleaners kept everything shiny around the clock. Room was comfy with own amenities. Nice and quite with people from every culture to contextualise with. Highly recommend and will be staying again. Job well done!

Near train station and walkable to all city venues

Booking was approved when I got there wastold they were full so at 67 years old I had to sleep on the streets how do you think I feel

Amazing place and very securely

Very business like. Definitely not your cosy little hostel. They make it difficult to do your own cooking. The fridges had almost no space and the kitchen had hardly any bench space. But it was very clean and close to everything

We felt very safe, there was plenty of free entertainment options within the property and it is in a very convenient area for walking to most places or to bus /train stations. The rooms however were a little cold, with limited heating options and when we asked for a heater, it seemed quite an effort for the initial team member to source one.

Really great location easy to get around on foot. Street parking available and excellent price.

Loved this place. Cheap and close to the city. Would stay again.

Everything was pretty good except for the attention of the workers. Particularly one , her name was Bella. I got my bag full of food stolen and I go to her to tell her this and she didn’t address the situation properly. I didn’t see any cooperation or a willing to help, even tough that I offered her help with the security software which happens to be that i used to install them. She did quite oposite, she try to asure that there was not to much possibility to find the guilty. After days of asking for a feedback i got no answer, i don’t think they checked. Pretty frustrating

This property is in a fantastic location, close to the city and shopping. The rooms are spacious for a backpackers and the common area is clean and comfortable, there is a kitchenette and laundry for guest use which was convenient but could get a bit grubby with so much use

Room was fresh and clean. Entrance can be bit confusing to find, but keep eye out for signs on the building windows and you’ll be fine! Staff were super friendly.

Alcohol smell in the room

It was good until night 6. They let someone with big alcohol smell check in my 4 dorm room at 11 pm. 2 other ramdom people went inside the room around this time. Strong smell so I could not sleep! At 5am i saw security inside the room taking his food . Very weired. Security was very rude with me. Im didnt sleep. I went back to the roo. Around 6 am the guest came back at 6:30 and bit later his alarm started and he started saying repetedly : i cant turn alarm off. I Terrible hostel night. Will try to cancel my next 2 nights.

Rooms are neat & tidy, beds are comfortable. Location is great as its not too far from train station, buses etc

Clean and no frills. Do note that road side parking is not free between 8am to 6pm. It was sometimes difficult to find parking too.

Great Place for a Short Stay

Good location and worth the price. However, I think the cleaning staff leave a bag of rubbish in the room on the second day, which leads to some cockroaches in the room... (Just bad luck I guess)

The room are ok but poor on ventilation as no windows can be opened. The kitchen is small with few facilities. Location is ok. Overall it could be better.

Overall I had a wonderful stay at Hostel G. Its location is ideal, clean, friendly staff and cozy.

Full of druggies and our room had someone else’s clothes and belongings in there, not good at all. I genuinely felt scared to stay here

Rooms are nice and staff are nice but There are a lot of issues with various types of homeless and drug issues and some what unclean and unsafe place to be now since there are now so many staying there, theft and drugs and unclean in areas such as common areas eg laundry / kitchen facilities 😔😔😔 it used to be so good when staying there top of its class in hostels best in Perth I used to say when recommending to others

This is a very new hostel, the quality is very good, the staff is very kind and the public facilities are great. The only pity is that the kitchen only has a microwave oven and a toaster, and there was no hot water to bathe one evening to noon the next day. If there is no water heater failure that day, there are really no disadvantages, I would recommend friends to live in hostel g.

The property itself is fine, apart from constint fire alarms, the staff in my experience here, are lacking, no care, no information passed on, some are just unpleasant to deal with . I'll be checking into a different place of accommodation I've found it such a disappointing and uncomfortable start to Perth.

Check in was easy, but no directions given to get to room or an explanation of where facilities were. Made it to room, card didn’t work, went back down to reception who fixed straight away. Ok for quick overnight stay in perth (visiting from regional WA to go see a concert). Rooms not quite as nice as pictured in Expedia photos.

It was new building but need clean more especially Bathroom and storage . Only one day is fine but can't stay long I think.

Big laundry space and living area. Good value for money, with 4 bed dormitory females only.

Room, Location, Price - Everything was great!! Loved the fact that each room had an ensuite, so you only had to share the toilet with your roommates and you dnt need to get out of your room at night if you need to go. Lounge area was very cozy and spacious. Very convenient to get to Perth Train Station and Perth Busport and the CBD, which basically means you can technically walk everywhere (if you dnt mind taking a stroll). I wished there was a freezer though (there's two large refrigerators are in the kitchen, not to worry), but it isnt a deal-breaker. One of the best hostels i've been to!

This hostel has clean facilities and comfortable setting. However guests dont always respect the place. Bit of a shame really. Best in Perth I think.
