The staff were very attentive, hospitable and warm and always willing to help you plan your itinerary well, they really care about your welfare too. This hostel also has an excellent environment, you will meet people from all over the world and this will help you to maximise your experience in Krakow.

Room was of the quality to be expected for the price paid. Curtains were a bit hard to close. Beds were okay. Bathroom was really modern and actually really nice!

Just outside the hustle & Bustle of Krakow market Sq. but only a short walk away! Wavel Castle & all the other attractions are in a similar position.

A lovely, friendly hostel. I had a private ensuite room which was quite spacious. The bathroom was spotless, and very modern. I walked there from the train station, and it took me around 12 minutes. But local transport options pass by the hostel. The old town is also about a 10 minute walk away. They have a 24hr reception which is great for late arrivals.

Good value for the price

I stayed in a six bed dorm and I am satisfied with the overall experience. It is everything you would expect from a hostel but with a few things that elevated the experience: 1. Clean shared bathrooms. Unlike the smelly and dark bathrooms I experienced in other hostels, the bathrooms here are modern, bright and cleaned every day 2. Common room with comfy sofa, TV and game consoles (I have not used them so I can't vouch if they work). 3. "Cafeteria" - Located one floor below the reception, I believe only open at day time. What I can say for sure is, in case you have not been impressed by the shared bathrooms outside of your room, the toilets here are as clean as the others and with stunning lighting. 4. Locker room for luggage - Next to the cafeteria, there are plenty of storage spaces. Not sure if you need to pay extra for it. 5. Garden - place to sit outdoor and hang your washing (important for later). There are also bike racks! 6. Towel can be borrowed free of charge, the catch is you need to leave a deposit (cash only) and will be fully refunded when you return it. 7. Convenient location - Multiple bus and tram stations within 10 minutes of walking Here are some minor complaints : 1. Room can be hot in the summer. However, it is uncommon for Polish buildings with AC or electric fans anyway. 2. Luggage space in the shared dorm is quite limited and inevitably will take up some common space 3. Washing machine is available but no dryer is available.

My partner and I were quite pleased with our stay here! The staff were super friendly and helpful when we had questions about the transit system. The rooms and the bathrooms were clean. Very close to Krakow main square (ie., in walking distance).

Safe, quiet and pleasant

Not very central but about 20mins walk away from centre or train station. Quiet and safe area. Staff friendly and helpful on a 24/7 reception desk. Towels on refundable cash deposit. Bit battered on closer inspection but clean in our bedroom and shared bathroom. Shared kitchen not so clean but very nice to have the option of that. Shared garden very pleasant. The biggest problem was not enough sockets in the room, only 2 for a 4-bed room - please put some more in! Could improve the shared bathrooms: lack of bath mat or hand towels and more shelves/hooks needed. Overall happy with stay and would come back :)

From helping us out with a short-notice extra night because I'd gotten my dates mixed up, to ringing around to help us organise bike hire and an endless amount of knowledge on local attractions and opportunities, the staff the Hostel Deco were friendly, astute and flexible. We thoroughly enjoyed the quaint attic-room "pidgeon coop" which was quiet and had lovely views from the 5th floor. You do need to be prepared to deal with stairs - 110 to our room, but well worth it.

Great receptionists

The receptionists at the front desk were amazing! Spoke to the staff and helped me gunf my chatging case which was lost in my room.

The working staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely next time.

Actually the location is amazing but if your going there to have good sleep dont ever think about that because you will easly hear a lot of noise from your next door

awesome original Art Deco housing!!

Extremely authentic Art Deco place with lots of original furniture from the 1930s. Loved the room, it was spacious and nicely decorated with film posters of 'Metropolis'. Shared bathroom was clean, although we had run out of toilet paper. Unfortunately they don't provide towles. The shared kitchen is actually way too small considering the amount of rooms they have. Fridge was totally full. In walking distance to Old Town.

It was like staying in a movie theater. Cool decorations. Super friendly staff. Close enough to Old Town, but not smack in the middle of it. Its one classy hostel. I'm going back in a few days.

3 night stay with adult daughters, excellent choic

Highly recommended this friendly well positioned hostel. The staff are very helpful and the hostel has a very relaxed vibe. Easy to get to from the airport via bus 208 or 308 and an easy walk to all main sights. Will definitely stay here again

Not a happy camper on this property

This is one of those I regret booking for 7 nights. I only stayed one night and it's because I arrived very late. If I arrived early I would have tried to find another place to stay. The room does not look, feel, and smell clean. I felt grossed out. It smelled dirty, old and not fresh, even the bed. I feel like taking a shower after sleeping in it, and of course I did. Also, I was put on the 5th floor. No elevator. I had to go up and down the stairs for some issues during my check in. The good thing though, the staff were good. The one who checked me in helped me with my luggage to the 5th floor. The manager was considerate about how I feel about my stay and gave me a partial refund for the remaining nights except for 2 nights since their cancellation policy is 48 hours, I think. However, he only gave me the amount that would have been due to them. The rest of the payment, hotels.com kept even though the manager cancelled my last 5 nights. I tried contacting hotels.com about it and also the manager did but I never got a responsefrom hotels.com about it. Hotels.com got a big commission for the number of days that the property agreed to cancel for me (5 nights) So, hotels.com, please give my money back for the 5 nights commission and tax.

Love staying at Hostel Deco!

Originally booked for a week, and ended up adding an extra 4 nights. Very clean and friendly. The front desk staff is awesome and they are there 24 hours a day. I know because i was up drinking really late one night in the common room and went out to chat with the front desk person after everyone else fell asleep. The bed is really comfy. I do wish it could be a bit wider, but it is definitely long enough and im 2 meters tall so that's saying something. Bathrooms super clean. the place has a nice backyard, and there are several places to eat, buy snacks, and beers.

Great no frills accommodation for budget stay

My friend and I wanted a base to explore Krakow from. This couldn't have worked out better, we had a late flight so wouldn't be checking in until midnight. I sent a message in advance and they confirmed that they have a 24hr check in so that would be fine... they then offered to arrange a transfer for us! The guy who picked us up was great, he told us some of the things we should see while we were there and it only took us about 20 min to get to the hostel. We paid for our room on arrival and were able to put a deposit down for towels too. They also have lockers for luggage so when we had to check out at 11 on our last day we got one of these too so we didn't have to hang around the place. (They also arranged our transfer back to the airport). The room was fine we had a double which was a huge space, but very basic. Would be nice with a bit of updating - decent wardrobe to hang clothes if you wanted, a MIRROR would be great but like I say it was a base for us. We shared a bathroom with two other rooms - 1 toilet, shower and sink. Again it was fine, we were out and about most of the time so just needed showers in between and never had a problem with getting in. The hostel is about 15-20 min walk from the main square, but there's shops local so you can grab bits for the room as you need. We had a great time and will definitely go again, I would stay there again with friends as it was secure, clean and the staff were really helpful.

Very nice place, clean, big rooms and comfortable. The only problem is that they don't have enough plugs in the room. Only 2 for 8 persons... But everything else it's perfect. I recommend to stay here. And I hope my comment will make the hostel add more connections or something.

Basic but pretty and cheap.

I've stayed here several times as it's so cheap and I love the style of the rooms. It can be quite noisy with people coming and going so take earplugs, and being in the downstairs room with the window open in summer meant that cigarette smoke smells came in from the garden. All clean though, except that the floor in the bedroom definitely needed a sweep. Really friendly lady on reception.

Nice hotel close to the centre

10 minutes from the old town and 10 the city centre. Couldn't ask for a better location. The staff are grate always willing to help, one night they helped us ordered us pizza! The shared bathroom was always clean and never felt like we were sharing it. The common room and kitchen were always clean too. Each room has it's own name and personality which I thought was really nice touch. On the last day after check out they will keep your bags until your ready to go. The WiFi was quick. Only negative was around 7am every morning we would get woken up by the loudest noises. My guess is it something to do with the bins. If there's any way to make it quieter that would be great.

I really enjoyed staying here! It was quiet, within walking distance (less than an hour) to everything I wanted to see, clean, and comfy bed! Couldn't ask for better :)

“Just okay for a night”

I stayed only for a night in a co-ed dorm; could hardly sleep firstly because of noisy people coming back after midnight and then due to loud snoring by a guy. The bathroom facilities were poor given that the no. of bathrooms is too low for so many people. Also, there is not wash basin inside the toilet and one has to wait to access the basin inside the shower-room when empty. This was really very inconvenient. The staff was friendly and nice.

Bit awayfrom the centre

It's about 20 minutes walk from the old town so might not suit everyone. The location seems safe. Most of the staff are really friendly but one lady was unhelpful. The room key system was one actual key not a card key like in most places. This meant I had to wake fellow guests at night to access the room so not particularly fantastic. Room was generally tidy with plenty of power points.

Great breakfast, thin walls

Was generally happy with the stay, however the walls are very thin and the wooden floorboards mean you can hear everyone coming and going at all hours. I suggest using earplugs. The buffet breakfast was really good and great value. 15zl for the usual cold breakfast foods plus eggs and saussages, tea, coffee and juice. The communal kitchen was clean and well equipped and the bathroom was modern and clean. The mattress was a bit uncomfortable and my husband woke up with a sore back. Great location, walking distance from all of the major sights.

We really enjoyed our stay! The hotel was in a perfect location...about a fifteen minute walk to both the old town and to the train/bus station. Only issue was that the wifi didn't work in our room. Free load of laundry was a definite bonus!

Disappointed

My four nights' stay at Hostel Deco weren't particularly pleasant. On the plus side, there was no problem checking in at a minute past midnight. (Flight delayed by circulating till a thunderstorm had abated, then waiting on tarmac till it was safe for ground staff to work outside.) On the other hand, when I went back downstairs a few minutes after arrival to request a towel (10 Zloty deposit), I earned the undying disapproval of the person on duty at the night desk by inadvertently interrupting her cigarette break just outside the front door. (She stubbed out her cig more than half unsmoked, presumably after presuming it would be quiet at that hour.) Other problems: no en-suite, as I knew in advance; but the neatest toilet on my floor had no wash basin, so if someone goes into the shower room while you're on the loo, you'll have to wait till they've finished their shower/ablutions or whatever to wash your hands. Also on the third morning from about 5:20 a.m. my neighbours spent around 2 hours clattering around getting ready to leave. Napoleon's army's preparation for invading Russia was probably a bit noisier, though not much. ;-( Finally, the wifi in my second-floor room was very unreliable. The signal dropped so often I gave up trying to use it. (Didn't try it in the common room downstairs. It might work at other locations.)

Nice place to stay

I had a really nice experience here, I was staying on my own and felt comfortable and looked after the whole time.

simple hostel great value for money.

simple quirky hostel. just outside the old town. staff were pretty good. they gave us a free load of laundry with our stay. windows open out onto a busy street and by a crossing so there is noise all night. no fans in the room. shared bathrooms were nice but the shower drained so slowly you had to stop and wait alot. not bad but could do better

The room is big but dark. I turned on all the lights but it's still dark and a bit creepy with the pictures and old looking furniture. It's almost 2km walk to the city center. But the reception was 24hrs and they ordered me a cab when I need one early in the morning.

Very nice place. A perfect vintage place, very well conserved and very comfortable. The neighborhood it's ok, with some little markets and little walking to public transport.

Awesome place, great staff, lots to offer: spacious rooms, just a block from the metro, parking, breakfast, bar, and certain other things on request.

Great Staff, Not the Best Location

The hotel itself was nice. I had a single room and it was a nice size. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I had called hotels.com a month before to change my reservation from 3 nights to 2 nights and when I got there, the hotel had no record of that. The staff did not make an issue out of it and immediately changed my reservation for me. The staff was also helpful with directions and information.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself! The staff is helpful in every way. The beds are super comfy and nice linens. They have a garden to sit outside, a large tv with movies or games, lockers, towels and anything you need. The only complaint is the distance to the city center/main square, at least 10minute walk. However, I would stay here again.

A good place for budget travellers sharing dorms and public space (excellent facilities like fully equipped kitchen, free computers, sitting room, garden), but not impressed with the private room nor location.

Unique and Lovely Hostel

4/5. Very good quality for a hostel. Had a wonderful stay with my girlfriend. Staff are kind. Rooms are very clean and individualistic. Although you can hear through the walls and doors which is a tad annoying. Common areas are well taken care of. Kitchen has all the basic utensils. Bathrooms are clean. Quick internet. I found it was a nice get away within the city itself. 10 minute walk to center and tourist sights.

huge room at a low price

If you are on a budget but would like a private room this is the place for you in Krakow. It's easy to find, close enough to the railway station and centre of town and has huge rooms at very little cost. Of course it is a hostel so there are a lot of callow youth opining in the common room and the shared kitchen could be cleaner. Nevertheless, the staff are on hand all day and will even do one complementary clothes wash for you per visit and the internet works fine. I enjoyed my stay.

Really good hostel.

Ratings apply to a double room we used, rather than the dormitories. Very suitable for students, but some other oldies such as ourselves were also there. Hostel Deco apptly describes the decor which might be off-putting for some. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and spoke English well. A free load of washing was really helpful.

Tout était niquel sauf la douche qui a un debit d'eau à s'en faire mal à la peau et la lumière de la salle de bain qui s'éteint toutes les 2-3 minutes et qu'il faut sortir de la douche pour la rallumer. Sinon tout était parfait que ce soit la chambre, l'insonorisation, le personnel, l'emplacement de l'hôtel et le prix.

Dear Sir/Madam, I stayed at Hostel Deco in Kraków, with check-out scheduled for 11:00 AM on September 13th, 2025. After checking out, we left our luggage at the property and went out for a walk. We returned to the hostel around 5:00 PM to rest until the departure time of our bus at 10:00 PM. During the shift change, the evening receptionist informed us that we could not remain in the common areas of the hostel, even after check-out, and asked us to leave immediately. This approach was abrupt and caused us discomfort, especially considering that the previous receptionist had not mentioned any such restriction. I would like to formally express my dissatisfaction with the way we were treated and request clarification regarding the hostel’s policies on the use of common areas after check-out. People who work there were very kind with me, and public spaces were clean. People who stay there is safe, and also the situation that you can breathe it's really nice. Unique negative thing is that due to work, was not possible open the window of the room, so the smell of people who stay before me in the room stay there. But I really like that hostel and I suggest to everyone!

Hostel barato alejado del centro, la puerta de la habitación no cerraba bien y se escuchaba todo el ruido de los pasillos. Mucho adolescente salvaje sin ninguna educación como huéspedes. Las recepcionistas muy simpáticas y serviciales.

È subito fuori dalla circonvallazione, quindi 1km dal centro. I bagni sono nuovi, la doccia è come quella delle piscine quindi temporizzata e và ripremuto il pulsante. I letti e cuscini sono un po' vecchi, cedono troppo. L'asciugamano va chiesto alla reception con cauzione di 5 euro

Hotel con stile originale. Pulizia impeccabile, staff gentile e disponibile. La struttura si trova relativamente vicina al centro, ben servita dai trasporti.

Un muy buen hostal, con una buena ubicación cerca del centro de la ciudad, un precio economico y un buen ambiente. El personal de recepcion te ayudan siempre que lo necesitas. Mi nota seria un 9 si no fuera por un gran detalle, el baño. La ducha es realmente surrealista, consiste en un chorro a una potencia desmesurada, que no puedes cambiar y el agua solo sale durante unos 30 segundos, es decir, tienes que estar apretando el boton todo el rato. Y no acaba ahi la cosa, el lavabo tambien tiene tela. El agua solo sale caliente y cada vez que lo pulsas sale mas y mas caliente, es casi una broma de mal gusto. Añado que tienen muy poco espacio de almacenamiento, un aramrio ridiculo y una mesita enana.

Very good for a tight budget

Good value for money! The furniture was somewhat worn, but the place felt clean and inviting. Loved the Art Deco style throughout the hostel. I spent 6 night in a single room with shared bathroom and shower. A short 15 minute walk from the Old Town. A couple of tips; - My room did not have aircondition. If you are planning to stay in hot summer months, be prepared to buy a tablefan from a nearby shop. It cost me about 80 zl, but well worth it. - Bring your own towel. They do supply them in reception, but you will have to deposit 20 zl (?!)

Довелось ночувати у цьому хостелі 2 ночі. Все супер, дуже задоволена. Чисто, затишно, комфортно. Привітний персонал, який готовий допомогти з будь якою твоєю проблемою. Рекомендую!!!

W porządku

Hostel ma swój klimat, jednak pokoje powinny być bardziej wygłuszone, słuchać sąsiadów. Drzwi prysznicowe wymagają naprawy i czujniki w łazienkach :)

非常有格调的酒店 但是需要注意细节

虽然整体看起来颜值很高 位置很好 但是我们去的时候刚好温度比较冷 让酒店工作人员帮忙打开暖气可是一直在推阻 承诺会解决可是住的几天都没有解决 房间没有太多可以放东西的地方 休息室有一种奇怪的气味 建议通风。

trochę daleko dla pieszego

Jeżeli ktoś jest nastawiony na zwiedzanie ale na własnych nogach to hotel położony jest zbyt daleko od Starego Miasta i zamku. Po ,,szwędoleniu " się po Wawelu lub rynku naprawdę byliśmy załamani ,że jeszcze taki kawałek musimy wracać do hotelu na odpoczynek a potem jeszcze raz wracać aby wieczorem znowu sie ,,poszwędolić" niby tylko 20 minut od Starego Miasta ale jak ma się w nogach juz kilkanaście kilometrów to te 20 min to wieczność. A tak po za tym hotel ok. Każdy pokój w innym wystroju nawiązujacy do bohaterki której ma imię. Meble trochę stare i przydałoby siś je odnowić . Z kuchni i pokoju telewizyjnego nie korzystaliśmy bo nie mieliśmy czasu. Obiady jedliśmy na mieście a śniadanie w pokoju. Z toaletami na korytarzu tez nie było większych problemów ale byliśmy na przełomie września i pażdziernika w sezonie chyba byłby problem. Poza tym miałam wrażenie, że zatrzymują się tam głównie studenci

Helt okej hostel

Trevlig ställe, slitet men det är vad som kan förväntas av ett hostel. Lite lyhört men ändå okej. Hjälpsam personal. Lite väl avsides för vår smak men om man är OK med att promenera en bit så är läget inte så viktigt.
