Shower too small

Only complaint is that it was quite loud. When a neighbor left a room one morning at 6am it woke me up it was so loud. Noise travels very easily in the building, but other than that the staff were great and helped me with storing luggage and such in between switching and traveling. Right by an amazing brunch place that’s viral “EatMyTrip,” and very close to the train which quickly takes you to all the places you’ll want to go.

Overall good stay not too far from central area

Clean and good condition single room. En-suite Shower facilities are also good. Room is a little too small for my personal liking but it had a small desk and chair for me to work with too. Lots of cafes and restaurants around at walking distance. Friendly staff!

Affordable, clean and in a good location

Affordable accommodation in a nice location, close to metro, supermarkets and restaurants and a short walk to the city centre. Single rooms are quite small and there is no natural light as they look into the interior of the building. But if you need an affordable place to explore Barcelona, it’s quite good.

Amazing place to stay if you’re planning to be out all day. Hotel is in an excellent location (within 20-30min of Casa Battlò, 17min of park guell and 30min of Sagrada Familia) and you barely even have to take curbs or go outside of the main road. Room and hotel are simple however staff is very friendly and again location could not be any better.

Location is great, running toilet each time flush and kept running for 20-30 min so that was the interval of sleep this night, I did send e-mail to the reception several times and informed about it on check out and they question my ability to manage the toilet

The room was comfortable and clean, and looked as shown in the pictures. The price was very affordable, great for an economical weekend trip with another person or solo. Staff was helpful at check-in as well. The location is a bit outside the hustle and bustle of the touristy areas, but it was just a 5 min walk to the metro station Lesseps and felt like a safe area as well. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely stay here again.

Oldie but a goldie

Fine. Location, 10 - 15 minute walk to sites. On major steet in town. A few ok restaurants nearby. People are nice. Place is old but ok.

Great location, super welcome, good budget hostal

The check in/out was very easy, super friendly helpful lady who offered to store our luggage and gave us a map and information on the buildings we planned to visit. also brilliant information on the public transport system. Thank you so much for all your help. The room was as expected, quite basic and very clean. The ceiling fan was most welcome, may not be sufficient for very hot weather. The location was great we could walk easily to see sagrada famillia, la pedrera and parc guell. Metro stop is 2 mins walk away. There is a great bakery on the left corner of the street opposite and a bar serving food on the right, a walk up this street and you will find a bar on the next corner and a small pizza restaurant on the other side of the road. So you are surrounded by everything you need.

Good location. Walkable to the upper parts of Eixample. Good selection of small bakeries in the area, to get a sweet treat. Room small, but that is to be expected for such a bargain price. First night was pretty horrible: neighbors next to the hostal had an exceptionally loud late-night party well into the morning, but that was not the hostal's fault I don't think. Bathroom was small (also to be expected) and tiny shower was difficult to use without getting water on the floor.

The location is great, but no AC just a ceiling fan and it was HOT. The bathroom is very small. I only stayed for a couple of days and that's all I would be able to tolerate. The staff was very nice, they helped out by showing us how the Metro worked and which train to take. I give the staff an A+.

just what's needed

Friendly welcome. Plain but modern, very clean room. A little far from but easy metro access to city center. close to Gracia, an up-coming area of BCN. A little expensive ...but this is Barcelona ! We would stay again.

The front desk lady was so nice and helpful. The room and hotel are very clean and modern.

Simple, Effective.

A visit to see friends and, by chance, this place is just around the corner, inside a discreet yet grand door with the desk staffed all day and night long. Simple room, bathroom so compact that I could use all the fixtures simultaneously if I wished (decent shower pressure, occasional temperature wobbles but not much skin lost), clean sheets, comfy beds and quiet bar a snorer somewhere else in the building and the occasional metro train (both easily ignorable), this did all that I wanted it to do. Not all desk staff spoke English but this was Catalunya, so it's my job to have a bit of Catalan or Spanish up my sleeve! The area is bustling but not chaotic and there are plenty of small supermarkets and places to eat - all seemingly popular with locals - within easy walking distance. It's also very close to Lesseps metro station, three stops on L3 from Passeig de Gracia for trains to the airport The only drawback was that, on obtaining a full receipt for the room once booked on-line, I found that the Sunday night was costing me more than the Friday and Saturday nights combined! The reason (apparently): a conference in town from the Monday - not an unusual occurrence in Barcelona, so perhaps worth checking before booking. Would I book again? Yes, I would.

Worst hotel imaginable

Definitely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Rude staff, sleazy building ... You name it. Travelers are advised to stay away from this one.

Great Place!

Our stay was brief, but Hostal Lesseps was perfect and a great value. The staff was friendly and helped to arrange a taxi to pick us up at 5:30 am. We even received a courtesy knock in the morning to let us know the taxi had arrived. I felt very safe here and the location was great for walking to Park Guell and area restaurants.

Decent place in a good neighbourhood

Great local area. Close to the metro. Wifi functional. Room facing main street, but not loud. They ask you to leave the key at reception, so you need to be buzzed in each time. Overall, a fine stay, I would return.

Extremely good value & very clean

I was a little unsure of this hotel before my trip - I booked it at the last minute when my other accommodation fell through. It was very cheap for a central hotel. However, I was extremely pleasantly surprised. My single room was small, but well furnished, and the whole place was immaculately clean. This has to be one of the best value city hotels I have ever visited.

Tiny bathroom

This small hotel is located close to a metro, which was convenient for us. We arrived at the airport and took a bus, then a metro toward station Lesseps and got to our hotel without any issue. The room and private bathroom were clean. The only issue was that the bathroom was tiny, like really small! But aside from that, it was well maintained which is the most important for me. The street is kind of busy during the day with lots of little coffee shops around to choose from. To go to Las Ramblas, we just kept walking down on Grande de Gracia Street (towards the ocean) and we got easily to visit the main spots in Barcelona.

nICE HOTEL FOR THE PRICE

THE ONLY PROBLEM WITH THE HOTEL WAS THE STEEP SET OF STAIRS REQUIRED TO CLIMB TO REACH BOTH RECEPTION AND ROOMS. ROOM CLEAN AND TIDY AND STAFF HELPFUL AND VERY ACCOMMODATING

It is an older city buildind, strange noises at night. Street view : limited. Very clean room and the sheets. Very basic but close to metro L3 line. Walking distance to Park Guell. Small bar and mini Market accross the streat. Friendly stuff. Worked for me.

Decent Two Star Hotel with Good Location

Decent Two Star Hotel with Good Location. We liked being off the beaten path a little bit in the Gracia neighborhood. Staff was great and helpful. The biggest drawback of this hostal is the thin walls. We heard EVERYTHING coming from our next door neighbor's room. It met our needs but I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it or endorse it to friends.

A quiet, local favor:Near tranportation

The staff were welcoming and accomodating. Near a great coffee shop, bakery and diner, the cozy lodging offered a comfortable, quiet space upon returning from a safe jaunt down from public transport, felt like coming home. Very clean, the separate bathroom offered a comfortable shower. Especially welcome was the small closet, desk, and toiletries and outlets.

Amazing staff

The staff are some of the most friendly and helpful people I have ever met. Helped with transport and directions. I got soaked during the rain on Sunday, I arrived back at hotel and asked for room key. A few minutes later there was a knock on the door - I was given a psir of slippers and my trainers and jacket were taken to the drier. I can't recommend this place enough. Room cleaned everyday. It is iideally located for metro and walking to La Rambla.

Me surpreendi positivamente

Gostei muito do lugar, a localização é excelente, perto do metrô, linhas de ônibus e a pé de vários pontos turísticos. A acomodação era ótima, única reclamação que eu poderia fazer era em relação ao chuveiro que era meio fraco, mas nada que atrapalhasse minha estadia ou satisfação. Os atendentes eram muito simpáticos e me senti muito bem vinda. Super recomendo o lugar e ficaria hospedada em outras ocasiões.
