bedroom without a window, once catch a fire, people will die w/n doubt. isn't it illegal to be w/n window?

Service was excellent, however the room was in a balcony area and I couldn’t sleep the whole night. They were under construction accross the street, which is the Mercado de San Miguel and that didn’t let us sleep.

Location is its selling point

As a 1 star hostal (hotel/hostel?) there are preconceptions to what to expect. But I will start with the location. The place is hidden behind a famous plaza and very close to Sol station which is ideal for short trips. I stayed in a room with no windows unfortunately, and there is, albeit as an rustic quality, a feeling that the place is simple to give it a compliment rather than to say it looked slightly run down and disjointed in places (the wooden doors are on their last legs I feel). Do not stay for longer than a few days because there was a lot of noise throughout the night from other guests (the partition walls etc are very thin) and arguing residents from the floor above. I wasn't able to let myself in the building despite given a set of keys for the key didn't work but there is an intercom system.

Windowless

On booking, I requested a room with balcony if possible. I got a room with no window. Very thin walls, so a lot of exterior noise. The night staff had the great idea of sorting the rubbish out noisily in the hallway after midnight. With no window and strong heating it made for an uncomfortable night. The location was great though....

Excellent location

Really great location right in the heart of Madrid. The room was clean and the staff friendly. The walls are quite thing so you will be woken up at times from people passing through the corridors or closing their doors but would definitely recommend the hostal to others.

Well located for a great price

Only needed a place for a 6 hours layover between flights. Wanted to stay in the city center and found a place that was cheap, clean and in my all time favorite spot... Plaza San Miguel..... Perfect! Great clean new showers, shared, but excellent for this price

You get what you pay for

I'm sure this wasn't a bad place as far as hostels go. However, I had never stayed at a hostel and was grossed out by the shared bathrooms. I think the structure of the walls and floors in both the room and bathrooms were not conducive to cleanliness as there were cracks, peeling paint, etc. Staff were helpful but not overly welcoming. Location was superb, just steps from Mercado de San Miguel. This hostel was pretty quiet with no loud guests. It seemed to attract an older hostel-crowd.

素泊まりで使うだけ！と割り切るなら交通の便や、観光地の便もよく便利です。 ただ、他に利点が何もないですね。 騒音対策もなく寝れない人もいそう、ゴキブリ出た、いいとこないです。

Infierno en Madrid¡¡

El anfitrión perfecto. La habitación es una celda de castigo y tortura. Ruido de motor incesante y un pitido alternado que te saca de quicio. Olvidé llevar tapones...¡ qué Cruz ¡ La almohada olía a sudor pasado , la habitación a pintura y ni toalla para secarse.

Tutta Madrid ai tuoi piedi

Posizione eccezionale, sulla piazza del mercato di San Miguel. Si raggiunge a piedi tutto il meglio di Madrid, la metro più vicina è Opera a 300 metri. La struttura è al primo piano di un vecchio palazzo dal pavimento in legno. Ottimo il wifi disponibile anche nelle camere e discreta pulizia dei bagni condivisi. La mia camera singola era molto piccola, senza finestre, senza un armadio, più di due notti diventa difficile starci. Il letto non è stato rifatto e le asciugamani personali si noleggiano ad un euro. Il buon sonno della notte dipende dall'educazione di chi sta nelle altre camere.

Limpio pero cutre y nada atentos.

Ni una toalla te dan. Se hoye lo que pasa en todo el hostal. Tuve a unas chicas al lado chillando y con música hasta las 3 de la mañana y el de la recepción como si nada.... primera y ultima vez que voy a un hostal.

ロケーションは一番。

シングル滞在。多分一番ハズレの部屋でした。バスルームの隣で音が駄々洩れなので非常に不快でした。バッグを置く棚も窓も無くとても狭かった。隣のシングルはまた違ったので運でしょう。清潔度も設備も値段なりかな。でもスタッフは良かったしシャワーの水圧＆お湯の出も良かったです。

Schlafen und Sightseeing

Top Lage! Preis-Leistung wahrscheinlich ok. Singles bekommen meistens die schlechteren Zimmer. Meins mit Fenster auf kleinen Innenhof, sah dann aber, dass es auch Zimmer ohne Fenster gab. Kein Aufzug! Mit der Sauberkeit war ich sehr zufrieden, auch das Bett war gut. Leider kein Waschbecken im Zimmer, was ich bei Gemeinschaftsbad wichtig finde. Hellhörig, daher nur mit Ohrstöpseln zu ertragen.

立地もスタッフの対応も良かった。 ホテルの性ではないが、隣室の客の騒音(TV、電話、鼾 etc.)が激しくてあまり眠れなかった

È un posto difficile da trovare ma location perfetta. Le stanze sono minuscole e molto rumorose. Ma in generale può andar bene per una notte.

convient hotel with simple food

Iy is near the city and Metro. One can do most things by walk.But the breakfast is very simple and you have to prepare it yourself .

Comunicación muy buena, céntrico, con muchas tiendas al lado. Barato y limpio. La habitación muy pequeña, sin mucho espacio y sin ventana, un poco agobiante.

En la habitación no había ventana y era un poco ruidosa. En la ropa de cama había pelos negros y no me apetecía meterme alli, así que dormí encima de la cama con la ropa puesta. Pero la ubicación es perfecta. Si no te molestan las pequeñas cosas y solo buscas un alojamiento céntrico y barato, será perfecto para ti.

テレビもあり、シャワーは3か所あって掃除が行き届いていた スタッフが地図をくれてレストランの場所なども教えてもらった

친절한 직원, 가격대비 괜찮은 호스탈

전체적으로 가격대비 괜찮은 정도에요. 건물 특유의 냄새가 나 적응하는데 좀 걸려요. 리셉션 직원들은 굉장히 친절합니다. 와이파이도 잘 되구요. 위치는 마요르와 가깝다고 되어 있는데 사실 산미구엘시장 후문과 마주보고 있어요. 가깝긴 해요

El hostal es simple y muy bien ubicado

Se recibe tres llaves. La primera para la entrada del hostal, otra para el seccion de tu habitaccion y por fin para tu propria habitaccion. Es muy barato y simple. El cuarto es pequeno con tele y mesita con lamparita. Esta muy bien ubicada en el centro de Madrid, al lado del famoso mercado de San Miguel. Pocos cuadros de Puerta del Sol y estacion de trenes.

Buen precio, localización inmejorable. Tuve una habitación sin ventana, tal vez a otras personas eso no les importe. La conexión wifi bastante inestable tuve que re-setearla varias veces. Cuando funcionaba iba bien. Por el precio y en la zona, más que recomendable. El personal atento y amable.

Unterkunft direkt im Zentrum

das personal war sehr hilfreich, nett und kompetent. die unterkunft wird eher wie eine wg als wie ein hotel geführt. etwas laut und manche zimmer verfügten über kein fenster und sind doch eher klein. die badezimmer (3/etage) sind von den zimmern getrennt. insgesamt eine kostengünstige variante in madrids zentrum zu übernachten.

Supernöjd med detta billiga och centrala boende!

vandrarhemmet låg väldigt centralt. det var rent och fräscht., det kändes nystädat nästan varje dag. tre badrum. sista dagen smög sig en kackerlacka in på toaletten, annars inga djur. något lyhört (man hörde de andra som bodde i de andra rummen). Med tanke på det billiga priset och läget, finns det inte mycket att klaga på!

Top Preis-Leistungsverhältnis

Zentralere Lage in Madrid ist kaum möglich. Das Personal war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Zimmer sauber, hübsch und zweckmäßig. Hauptmanko ist, dass man alles was auf dem Flur/Rezeption passiert im Zimmer hört, da nur eine dünne Tür den Raum abtrennt. Wenn man darüber hinwegsehen kann, dann kann man für den Preis nicht mehr erwarten.

Estupendo para una estancia breve

La verdad es que volvería a este hostal por el personal, gente muy maja y atenta. El check out se hace a las 11 de la mañana y a nosotras nos ofrecieron dejar las maletas allí hasta la hora que quisieramos, así aprovechamos más Madrid sin tener que cargar con todo el equipaje. Además, la ubicación es estupenda, justo al lado de la Plaza Mayor en pleno centro histórico. Lo que no me ha gustado es que el hostal está justo detrás del mercado San Miguel y por la noche se oye mucho ruido cuando limpian la calle y sacan la basura. De todas formas, lo recomiendo para una estancia breve.

Udsigt over Mercado Saint Miguel

Vores tremandsværelse havde fransk altan med udsigt over det centrale markeds store tag. Trappen op er slidt skæv af tusindvis af fødder, og lakeret smuk med lige så mange lag lak. De ansatte er super søde og hjælpsomme, og de holder det gamle Hostal rent.

大変きれいな安宿です。

バストイレは共同でしたが、４つあり、部屋も大変清潔で困ることはありませんでした。ソル駅から徒歩１０分以内、ミゲル広場の目の前に有り、滞在には便利です。スペインの中でも価格が安く、清潔でこの利便性には、満足しました。wifiも無料で使えました。
