Property was spacious. Negatives was it can get noisy due on to tiled floors and breakfast was exuberantly overpriced for what it was. But would stay again without having breakfast

Massive bed big whirlpool bath great room great location. Had buffet breakfast too which was not the best for what it cost

Amazing location, close to heart of leon. Good parking, although need to follow hotels directions to get there. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Room spacious, clean and very good facilities.

This hotel is different, its location is fantastic it’s close by the cathedral and plaza mayor. There is an abundance of restaurants and bars as well as interesting little shops. However we did have difficulty finding it having asked and nearly been sent down a one way street not recognised by our navigation system, the receptionist was great at directing us and we got there. The hotel itself is very clean, with lovely white towels and linen. The beds and pillows so comfortable. What does let it down is the breakfast it needs more thought to make it more enjoyable, we weren’t able to sit in the garden as even early I the morning it was being set for lunch, hence the dining area was austere, not set out ready for guests. If they sort that area then it’s a lovely hotel in a great spot.

Terrible breakfast service. Stale bread, we were told there wasn't fresh bread delivered on any day. A bit of fruit and that's about it. No restaurant either. The bedroom was good and quiet, location was very good to be able to visit the city.

Large room and amazingly welcoming and helpful staff. Like many people, we had trouble finding the hotel (do NOT try Google!) so we parked along Calle Corradera and walked in. They gave us a map and marked the way in for us (which is actually quite straightforward.) The room, for once, was not overheated and there were lots of convenient outlets for plugging in our devices. It was quiet during our stay but neither the hotel nor plaza in front were busy mid December. I can see that in a busier time there could be noise from both the uncarpeted hallway and the plaza outside.

A great place to stay in Leon. Beautiful facilities and very kind service. Safe and clean. The location is ideal for all visitors.

My second time staying here and the service and quality of rooms was as perfect as I remembered from 4 years previous. The location is ideal, close to, but not right in the heart of Leon giving a quick walk to dozens of bars and restaurants but with no noise right outside. Also, parking on site, a warm welcome, friendly staff with great English. I hope to come again someday.

Situated in a renovated monastery Hospederia Monastica is an excellent place to stay in Leon. The arrival directions emailed from the hotel were perfect ~ don’t trust your SatNav ~ use their directions. Hotel is immaculately clean, excellent staff, wonderful shower, and extremely reasonably priced. Within easy walking distance of dozens of Leon restaurants.

Great place in every way

One of the nicest places we've ever stayed, in terms of the facility itself, the location, the helpfulness of the staff, and the value. It overlooks a lovely old square with a 12th century church and three small restaurants that set up tables in the square--very much a neighborhood place, but convenient to the entire city. The rooms are beautiful and the breakfast, though not cheap, is excellent. We would return without hesitation.

Fabulous hotel in a great location

Beautiful hotel, set in part of a working monastery complex, in the old town area of Leon, ideal for walking around the key touristic sites. Large, modern bedrooms with comfortable beds, with Juliet Balconies opening onto a beautiful square. Good, free, WiFi. Welcoming and helpful reception team. Parking on the premises is €9/night and if you follow the instructions provided by the hotel, it is easy to find. We had dinner in the hotel which was good, traditional, comfort food, provided at reasonable prices, for the area. Breakfast, unfortunately, was not as good. Whilst providing the usual selection of meats, cheeses, fruit and yogurts, there were no hot choices and things like the croissants were stale and the filter coffee was not really enjoyable. However, this small disappointment would not stop us from returning.

Beautiful hotel. Amazingly spacious room and bathroom. Big desk. Loved our stay here. Only gripe was late ooening of restaurant for dinner. No cinsideration of pilgrims. Made up for somewhat by great breakfast. Excellent location

Fantastic location on a square in the old town. The room was large and clean, with a large modern bathroom. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was basic but some home baked cake and biscuits was a nice touch. Great monastic atmosphere in an historic setting.

The place was great especially the location.

This hotel is clean and staff is extremely friendly. Room is more than comfortable. Beware if you are driving by car. It is difficult to find using using google maps. Call the hotel for help. Parking is about 8 euros a day. We enjoyed it. Breakfast great. Coffee could be much better.

Leon Hotel review

This hotel is walkable from the station if you don't want to take a taxi. The hotel is situated on the loveliest square in Leon with one of the best bars right outside your door. The cathedral and royal pantheon (both must see attractions plus the Holy Grail at the end of the hour long pantheon tour) are around 10 minutes walk away. The Contemporary Art Museum is on the other side of the city.

Comfortable spacious rooms in a great location

Comfortable, clean and spacious rooms in a fantastic building which was very conveniently located in the centre of Leon. The breakfast buffet had a great variety of options to suit all tastes. The reception staff were especially welcoming and helpful and even opened up the church for us early one morning so that we could take a look around which was much appreciated. We would definitely return to this hotel.

Overpriced but ok

Very clean, comfortable beds and nice staff. The negative aspects were the walls were thin and we could hear our neighbors and also the air conditioning was very weak and it was warm in the room and very hot outside. Overall it was an ok stay but not worth the money.

Unique and beautiful hotel in a lovely square in the old town. Wish we could have stayed longer!

What a fantastic hotel. It was afffordable and a little bit of luxury - perfect for a rest day on the Camino. The location was perfect. My room overlooked a quiet square and I was a 3 min walk from everything, but unlike friends who slept in San Martin’s square, I got a good night sleep!

Wonderful stay

Staff was great accommodations first class

The property was very difficult to find. We were driving and had to ask directions two times. The hotel should email a map with directions to new guests. Once we got there the receptionist was nice. The room was clean and large, but the noise from above and in the hall was very loud at night. I don’t know how this hotel got such a good rating. It was convenient to the center of town but that was about it.

The location is wonderful. The rooms are new, spacious and modern.

They didn’t have much for amenities. No cream rinse for hair, no klennex and no English speaking TV

Excellent location. Large very clean rooms. Restaurant inside was spacious and with wonderful food. Breakfast was a more than adequate supply of fruits , breads, etc.

This hotel although only rated 3 stars deserves a higher rating. Easily accessible parking. Great central location walking distance to everything. Bedding very good and probably one of the cleanest hotels we have ever stayed at.

Historic Leon.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of old Leon. We walked to all the historic sites. Good restaurants all around the hotel. Good service by staff on the reception desk.

I loved this hotel - clean, modern room, very comfortable and affordable. Good location, but finding it by car can be really hard. Rooms look just like the photos - really nice find

We stayed at Hospederia Monastica Pax at the end of our two weeks of walking on the Camino and found it to be the perfect way to end our trip. The location is ideal and within walking distance of all the major sites in Leon. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating and we would definitely return to stay in this facility again if our travels take us back to this part of Spain.

quiet hotel within historic area

the hotel room was excellent and all facilities were good. The staff were very helpful and the location was excellent for restaurants, shopping and sight seeing. Car Parking facilities good.

Great quiet location but within 10 minutes walking of whole of old Leon

Reception friendly, room comfortable. Only downside was noise attenuation from outside and the room above which was occupied by an elephant in high heels.

Perfect location for a break on the Camino. The room is impecably clean and large, the beds are comfortable, and the staff is helpful and friendly.

The only problem that we had was finding it. A detailed map of the access to the hotel through the narrow streets would have been useful.

Lovely clean well appointed hotel

Lovely spacious room with great bathroom. Maps took us straight to location. Only issue was parking. Need to drive through gates of Santa Maria next door ... a very small entranceway.... plenty of Parking within .... don't try and park in narrow one way street

Nice small hotel in old city area. Big clean modern room. Free bottles of water every day. No English TV channels. Helpful staff. Basic Breakfast.

Great hotel in Leon

Excellent room and great location. Next to a monastery so very easy to get a pilgrim's passport. Friendly service and quiet neighborhood but close to bars and restaurants.

Wonderful stay

This was a good choice of hotel. Much cheaper than we would normally choose but was a great selection. It is part of a monastery and focuses on pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago. The rooms are spacious and light and modern and very well maintained with good bath rooms. Location is superb. A few minutes walk to the cathedral. Staff impeccable. Reception went out of their way to assist. There is a restaurant there which looked good but we ate elsewhere. Highly recommend.

A beautiful hotel

Although a little awkward to drive to, the hotel more than makes up for it by providing very modern accommodation in very well appointed rooms. The hotel has an excellent dining room/restaurant with a great evening menu and a very generous breakfast buffet. Secure parking is provided about 50m from the front door and there is a bar in the square in front of the hotel, spoiled only by the cigarette butts in between the cobbles.

An excellent and peaceful location looking over the Plaza del Grano. Friendly and competent staff. A comfortable room. An added bonus was the bar fridge. Close to everything (tourist sites, supermercado, lavandería) - walking distance. Would have no hesitation in staying again.

A good place to stay.

A good all round stay , good position just on the edge of town (about 5 mins walk time), good secure parking. A little expensive but you get what you pay for I guess.

Nice location and friendly staff.

We had a nice room and a pleasant breakfast here. However the dinner was expensive and not very good. The steak was very fatty and I asked for my meal without the meat and the meat came anyway.

Nice central hotel

Overall I enjoyed my stay here. The location was good, on a lovely old square. The room was quiet and comfortable and the bathroom very clean. The Wifi was good too. Reception staff were helpful but could have been a bit more welcoming! It would have been nice to get some assistance with my luggage also, there was nobody on hand for this.

Very convenient location to Leon cathedral.

Wonderful quiet hotel just a few blocks from Leon cathedral and lots of great restaurants. A bit difficult to access as parking is limited to areas on the edge of the walking district. Call them as you are able to have access into the no car area if you make early arrangements or walk in as its only 2 blocks from Public parking. Breakfast I thought was a bit disappointing. Some of the fruit was not fresh and one of the juices was on the edge of fermentation (melocoton). Good choice of rolls and the usual rather bland coffee and never hot which seems to characterize most of Spain. Very helpful staff. Good beds and a nice shower.
