Beat old hotel in need of paint. I doubt I’ll stay the days paid for.

More of a convenience stay than anything else. The room was big, however felt outdated and was very noisy at night with music playing in the corridors and loud noises from outside the building (sounded like large bins / metal being shifted and emptied). Breakfast wasn’t great - not very appetising at all with not many options for things other than sweet / curry.

We just needed somewhere to crash between landing at 7pm and meeting a group the following morning at 9am. This hotel was perfect for our needs, cheap, comfortable, good shower and so convenient and we had no issues at all with noise. Breakfast was fine.

Good if you have a morning flight

If you have a flight from Medan, this hotel is very convenient. It needs to be cleaned better and the towels and linen to be washed and/or changed with new ones. The people working there are very kind and helpful.

This is a good hotel if you want to be near the airport. Not much in dining options except for fast food in the airport. Buffet breakfast in the hotel is good. Room was comfortable.

Everything was good except there was a very loud banging for several hours around 2 A M. It sounded like I was in a factory and it kept me awake. Room 202

If you're traveling from the airport then this is as close as you can get. Wake up, great breakfast buffet, and your walking into airport check in in minutes. A little noise from airport but clean and good ac and wifi.

We used it for convenience for a flight - so could put up with inevitable tannoy announcements & early/late night corridor noises - location for check-in VERY convenient. Breakfast selection ok. Food options in airport - so also convenient

With this type of room at this price inside the airport.. dont look at other options if you have an early flight in KNO.. your room is beside the check in counter 😁 Rooms are clean and confortable.. cant ask for more

Overall nice hotel which is conveniently located at the airport itself.

The location made so convenient to catch our flight the next morning and the price was reasonable. The breakfast was included and was excellent. The downsides are the reception check in was very slow, and inefficient. There were two working the desk but one seemed to be in training and had to keep interrupting the other for direction. If you’re running late for your flight just hope there isn’t a group checking out at the same time. After I checked in and in my room, the doorbell rang and before I could get to the door to answer it, housekeeping walked in then quickly closed the door. I opened the door and 2 girls had a basket with towels. Though I didn’t speak Indonesian I assume they asked if I needed towels. I had just checked in so why would I need towels?

The staff were very helpful. It is located in the airport so it's perfect for the night before an early morning flight. You will have limited options for dinner at the airport and there are no alcoholic drinks but other than that, it was very good.

Excellent airport hotel, comfortable bed & great staff & house keeping Some guests are folks travelling with international electric plugs, so upgrading to multi-purpose wall plugs will be very useful for travellers trying to recharge their laptop/cellphones.

So convenient for an airport overnight. Great value and access to airport restaurants as well.

I like the fact that is was located within the airport and that I did not have to navigate a change in location. - I did not like that fact that many breakfast items that should have been hot were cold.

Perfect airport hotel - rooms are spacious and clean. Located in the airport itself so don’t have the hassle of a shuttle bus. If you are a very light sleeper, make sure you have earplugs as there is some noise, although most wont notice it.

Just a stay or transit. Nothing much, only a few miserable shops in airport and no Chinese food..

The hotel is above the main airport entrance, lobby and ticketing area. The room had no natural light and the airport public address system could be easily heard in the room with no sufficient sound proofing. The room was compact but clean and tidy and the hotel staff friendly, cooperative and professional.

The hotel is very comfortable and clean. For short period transition is excellent. The only setback there isn’t much shopping and eating at the Kualanamu international Airport. Although there are large numbers of Indonesian Chinese living in Medan but the Kualanamu airport do not sell Chinese foods neither much Western foods..

Convenient for late night, early morning flights

Excellent airport hotel, very convenient for late night or early morning flights. Good but not excellent breakfast. Slow internet, especially in the morning rush hour when everyone is getting up and checking. Waterfall shower is not my favorite, but that is a cultural choice.

Very difficult checking in. Hard to believe there was some deposit required. We stayed 10 days earlier on our way to Sumatra and there was no deposit required? Check in took too long.

This hotel is very convenient for laying over at airport. Room is not big and wall is not thic but good enough for one night for transit airplanes.

Transit Hotel with perfect amenities

Horison Sky is perfect for business traveller that need on time schedule to airport KualaNamu KNO. Easy checkin, decent breakfast menu. Most important thing is fast checkout so you never miss the airplane

The hotel had probably only 23 rooms (that's what the porter said to me when I asked him how many rooms does the hotel have). But I think there are always several rooms filled any time of the day/night because the hotel is located on the second floor just after the airport entrance, so guests who need a few hours or several hours or even a full night in Medan can opt to stay at the airport hotel instead of leaving the airport. So you will save money on taxi trips, a lot of restaurants and shops inside the airport and the hotel also had its own restaurant. But because the hotel is quite small, only 23 rooms, there are a few staff in the hotel and they typically know who the guests are. So if you are inviting someone to your room, that person might get asked by the staff there (this has never happened to me at any hotel but this hotel due to its size). The bathroom's water pressure was strong and hot water worked well. Notice that "strong water pressure and working hot water" are usually located at nicer hotels in Indonesian cities. This hotel was one a few hotels I stayed Indonesia wide that had strong water pressure and working hot water. Staff shouldn't ask visitors to guests rooms any question. That is annoying. They even called me in my room asking if I was expecting a visitor. Just like if I rent or pay at any place, I had the rights to invite people to the room without the visitors or the room stayers being questioned!. So annoying.

Very convenient if you are flying in late or leaving early. Right inside the airport terminal (2nd floor) so you can be in your room within minutes of arrival! Hotel has restaurant although the airport itself has a number of eateries within walking distance.

Well equipped clean room. Quite noisy (could hear airport announcements and baggage carts driving past) but our room was at the end of the corridor just next to the airport.

Hygiene sehr mangelhaft, wir haben von einem Abendessen gleich zwei Lebensmittelvergiftungen davon getragen. Im Zimmer war es leider sehr laut, schlafen war nur schwer möglich. Aber aufgrund der Lebensmittelvergiftung waren wir sowieso mehr im Bad als im Bett.

Es ist ein praktisches Airporthotel, nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Extrem laut zu gefühlt jeglicher Uhrzeit an- und abreisende Gäste. Personal sehr freundlich!

Emplacement idéal.

This hotel is very good for time saving and the hotel itself is quite good. But Kualanam airport is not an attractive place to spend. If you have an very early flight and/or business trip, I can recommend this hotel. But if you would like to have a enjoyable stay for leisure like family trip... You should know some about the airport, not about the hotel,

Gutes Flughafen - leider sehr stark auf Einheimische und Gäste Islamischen Glaubens ausgerichtet. Das Dinner Buffet wird nur in indonesischer Sprache beschrieben. Keine Alkoholischen Getränke erhältlich - nicht einmal ein Bier! Als internationaler Gast fühlt man sich unwohl! Wir werden uns bei unserem nächsten Besuch eine andere Unterkunft suchen!
