Furniture was extremely nasty, stain covered. Room was over 100 degrees when we woke up with no way to change the temperature. My girlfriend make up was melting in the bathroom because of the heat. The kitchen sink sprayed water every way except for down the way a sink should. Amenities were lack luster and had to require the TV just to get it to work at all.

Cleanliness

We came in from a cruise and stayed one night before heading to Arkansas and to visit with family. The only problem we had was that we booked a 2 bedroom suite as there were 5 of us and they gave our room away and we got 2 rooms with kings so two people had to sleep on the pull out couch. Not good when you are 74 years old.

Hotel is very clean and nice. Only downside I saw was they don’t have cameras in the hallways. I stayed on the 4th floor and I didnt see any cameras on the floor.

Not going to lie, I was expecting less. I was surprised to see cooking utensils, pots, pans, glassware, dishes, dishwasher and more. Everything we needed for our stay to cook or dine in. We loved everything about the room. Although, our bathroom door couldn't shut and the handle was on backwards. The shower pressure was a bit challenging. Water was scorching hot, and it was a hit or miss getting the right temperature, lol. HOWEVER...I have a medical condition that doesn't allow me to sleep very well and I wake from a dead sleep due to massive migraines. Not once did I wake from noise, pain or being uncomfortable. I slept soundly!! I would DEFINITELY be returning here and would GLADLY take the same room to get this same rest that we did. The 2nd best thing is THE STAFF!!! OMG, the staff here are amazing!! Constantly greeting you, bidding you a good morning/day. Asking how your day is going and offering assistance. When I say this staff are amazing. We had a horrible trip coming in. What was supposed to be a 5 hour trip, took 14 hours. When arriving at the hotel 8/23/24. Miya, the receptionist, was getting screamed at by an entitled, old hag!! Complaining that no one was available to take her bags upstairs or park her car at MIDNIGHT. Not once did she break character and was professional. Staff here made this stay WORTH IT!! I can't wait to come here again just to here their friendly voices. WE LOVED IT HERE!! We loved it here so much that we became members!! Thx to Miya😉

Paid for 2 bedroom suite, for me and my family of 6 . When I got there they gave my room away and gave me 1 queen bedroom. All they have was a double. That was terrible. Sofa stained, bedroom no tv , no room phone, bedroom ac was leaking so half the carpet was wet. Paid over $350 to be uncomfortable When a double is $200 And got zero sleep, back hurt, so disappointed. Every stay I have always booked 2 bedroom so for management to give my room away to a friend reunion group . And inconvenienced my family and ruined are visit. Front desk lady tried to make it right but over charger my family. We was left feeling strand and helpless with 4 babies under 6.

Great for families friendly staff

Our one night stay was great. There was plenty of room for our large family. The TVs worked great and second bathroom was so helpful. The staff were so very friendly and helpful.

Very Disappointed

I was not happy with the experience at this Hilton hotel. My bathroom was not clean, no toilet paper on the roll, ceiling damage and peeling and the shower was in poor condition. I was moved to another room and and it to had damage but not as severe. The box covering the curtains from the ceiling was coming detached from the ceiling.

I came down for my graduation from Columbus State. The stay was great.

Everyone we encountered was very friendly and helpful! Living Room/Kitchen area was spacious, bed was very comfortable. One of the best stays we have had in a while. Highly recommend!!

Room canceled by property day of reservation

Our reservation was for 3 nights and booked 2 months in advance. This reservation was canceled by the property at 3:15pm via email while we were flying into Columbus, GA for a graduation. When we arrived we were told they had cancelled our reservation, were sold out and did not have a room for us. The rest of family was also staying in the hotel for 3 nights. This was very upsetting. Hotels.com helped us book with another the Clarion and it was very dirty and 2 miles away from family. This made it very difficult to coordinate with family that was staying in our original hotel and spend time with them. I booked this hotel 2 months in advance and for 3 nights. This reservation was cancelled the day of checkin. Imagine this happening to you when you have planned to visit with family and fly in only to find that your hotel has canceled your reservation and you have to stay in a different hotel miles away from your family that you haven’t seen in over a year. This was very upsetting. There has not been any compensation for this issue.

The furniture in our room was very dirty, the Sofa and Chair had several stains. The beds were very comfortable, over all a great stay, just needs to be updated a little.

Not Worth the price

There were areas of my room in the corners that were dirty and my dog found some candy wrappers from a previous guests stay. My shower door didn't close and the shower didn't have hot water.

Very outdated and overpriced for the condition our suite was in. It was in need of repair; bathroom faucet did not work and kitchen faucet leaked. With that said, the staff was very friendly and the continental breakfast was great.

The employees were awesome.

The bathroom had no exhaust and you could see the mold growing.

It’s clean and comfortable place to stay

Expedia website stated this place had a hottub. This was the inky reason I chose this hotel ober ithers that was a lot less expensive. I got there abd there was no hottub

Military graduation stay

I booked a suite for my family and I to stay for my son's military graduation. Room was clean. We had more than enough space to accommodate my family of 5. I would definitely book here again.

Staff was very friendly! The suites were very nice and clean.

Arrived at 4 pm, early afternoon but my room was overbooked. Took 30 mins and front desk to sort out with different accomodations but ended up the same. After 10 mins in the room, another guest entered with a key. Later my key did not work and I had to go into computer closet with the attendant for new key reprogramming. Multiple people waiting in long line in lobby...frustrated. Not enough towels for room occupancy. Ice machine did not work. Expected more for the price and brand. Overall, it worked for an overnight stay.

Breakfast was great and the dining staff are so friendly.

Disappointed in Homewood suites (Hilton) Columbus

Arrived early (1:00) and no rooms were ready, Check in was 3:00. Was not too upset waiting till 3:00, however, a room was not ready for us until 4:00. I was told I would get a discount and/or Hilton points for the hour wait to get the room; and got neither. The two TVs in the room did not worked. Had to make two trips to get sheets for Sofa bed (gave us crib sheets). The only thing good was the Breakfast and it was excellent.

Nice staff, easy check in. Clean, older place. Took a minute to figure out air conditioning but got comfy.

This property is old, unkept, and very dirty. The sheets and blankets were stained. When I asked for a bed change they replaced it with another set of stained linens. The pillow cases has someone’s hair on it. The shower floor and shower calking was black. The room floors were sticky. The carpet was bubbling up due to humidity. The TV remote didn’t work. The TV box had fallen off the wall and sat on the dresser upside down with the nails sticking up. Light fixtures were missing shades. Furniture was torn and heavily used. Property couldn’t give me a room change because they over-booked. Under staffed. About the only good thing about this place was the extremely friendly staff.

My room was not cleaned and they didn’t have anything else available

Huge section of the carpet was wet and very likely growing mold. Faucets were faulty, splashing unexpectedly. Room was spacious and otherwise clean. The quality of the carpeting and tiling was very cheap and falling apart. We stayed because we were just passing through town and needed a place to sleep for the night but will not be staying there again.

Family Friendly Hotel

the hotel is in a great location. i am from small town across river from here. we moved a few years ago and visit often. this hotel is friendly and clean but has a few issues. the staff at breakfast area was rude to my wife for asking for ice. she normally would not but we were on first floor and only working ice machine was on fourth floor so when she spoke with desk, they sent her to this area. we were right next to side exit door, that slammed if you did not ease it back. it was noisy from 5am to midnight all four days. we kept ac fan running to block this noise. overall, i would give a 8/10 rating. nothing left at breakfast an hour before it closed, door issue, rude staff. just so you can compare, we traveled so much over the last 14 months that unfortunately we have stayed in a hotel around 190 nights during this time. even with the issues mentioned, we will stay here again. i would consider these minor issues compared to hotels we have stayed in.

Amex issue

I had an issue with the charge for the room and the use of my American Express card.

Spent over $250 per night, and the property was very dirty and outdated. It should have cost more like $80 per night. Front attendant also has pit-bull at the front desk.

We had arrived early, asked for early check in. Was told our room will be next. Took 2.5 hours. Ended up in room after normal check in. Did not have anyone replenish things in our room. Beds were made with mattress covers as blankets. Pillows were hard and lumpy shoved in a pillow case and wrapped up. Had to ask 3 times to get soap to work on public restroom. Hot Breakfast was fine, bagels and English muffins were stale. Outside area was nice and had potential if cleaned up.

Very nice room

The property itself was great, but at check-out, I was charged an additional $26 for “taxes” that I had already paid through Orbitz. After calling Orbitz and showing the front desk my receipt that I had already paid $27 in taxes when I booked, they both said there was nothing they could do. So for one single night’s stay, I was charged $53 in “taxes.” For this reason alone, I will not stay here again.

Nothing to write home about

Older hotel…needs grounds need upkeep and cleaning. Hallways smelled. Hurts left trash outside their rooms and it didn’t get picked up timely. Had to request and sign for pool towels at Front desk. They only had one. Said they would bring me more to the pool; but they never did. Breakfast was ok. Rooms were good size. Nice to have a full size refrigerator.

Customer service

This property has seen some better days, that's for sure. It's tired, worn-out and downright dingey. I'm not sure what filter they used for their property shots but it's a good one! This is our second stay, in the past 8 months, in a suite style room.... and it wasn't just a one time fluke, these rooms need some revamp attention. That being said, the staff is kind and courteous.

It was ok stay bed was comfortable breakfast was ok staff at the front desk was very friendly and nice.

Loose plumbing fixtures. This seems to be pervasive problem in the southern US.

Loud

The room and location was super loud. I had the air/heat off but for some reason it kept turning on throughout the night so i was constantly being awaken by the unit. Literally was waking me up at least once an hour. We heard loud music coming from somewhere but it still wasnt as loud as the unit. The shower florr was dingy but other then that the room was nice and a good location for shopping

We stayed here in December 2021 while visiting family. We had some very noisy neighbours our first night and asked to move to a quieter room (I know this is not on the hotel itself, but my bf suffers from anxiety, so we value quiet conditions), and specifically a non-connecting room. The gentleman at the front desk was very courteous, but the first room they gave me keys for was a connecting one, so we went to a third, which was perfect and at the end of a hallway. One night my bf went downstairs for a soda, and was charged an extra .50 compared to one he got the next day - seemed odd to us and made us wonder if staff pocketed the 50 cents? Wouldn't expect that under the Hilton umbrella. The kitchenette was a little worn, but was night to have vs just a mini fridge and microwave at other hotels. Overall this hotel was functional, but we will likely choose to stay elsewhere if possible during our next visit.

It’s just OK!

4 day stay. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was sufficient. Wednesday night social was cute. Fire pit and mini golf were cute touches for my daughter. The size of the room and amenities were exactly what we needed. Hall smelled of smoke and trash when we arrived. It was taken care of the next day. Couches and chairs in the room were filthy!! Stains and gunk. I asked for extra sheets to cover them before I even sat on them. Beds were comfy after I changed the sheets. There was a small spider alive and crawling on one bed. The room smelled very stale. Had to get the AC running and spray the air with a perfume. Didn’t make a huge deal, just won’t be staying again.The way the exterior of the property looks raises your expectations. The interior was disappointing.

me and my boyfriend enjoyed our stay this is our 4th consecutive time here and the rooms here are always nice but they really need to update they have every kitchen necessity except for having a oven and the water sometimes does not get hot like its suppose to and the toilet water pressure was messed up and we had to wiggle the handle for it to work but besides those issues we had a great 3 day stay.

The staff were absolutely wonderful and attentive. Unfortunately, the property was in general disrepair and the room was in need of an update. There were stains on the carpet, mold in the bathroom, a leaky sink. In addition, the elevator was broken and the side entry door was non-functional making getting stuff to and from our room very difficult.

me and my boyfriend enjoyed our stay this is our second time actually staying at this property it is nice , only thing we both dislike this time is that the side door does not accept our key so we have to walk to the front of the building of the lobby to get back to our room we noticed we weren’t the only ones experiencing this , it can be very inconvenient and our hot water for our bathroom sink was not working at all , and our trash can was really small the first time we ever stayed there we had a good size trash can i don't know if because we were on a different floor or not but we couldn’t fit much trash . Overall it was a good stay despite those minor problems

Hallway carpet stained, chuncks missing from the tub, mold on the ceiling... more wear & tear than Ive ever seen at a homewood suites and I have stayed at MANY. super grossed out by this place...not representative of the Hilton Brand at all

One night stay

My wife and I were very pleased with our stay.

Stayed here during Christmas vacation. Very clean and quiet. Front desk staff were great.Great customer service

Amazing overall experience! Check in was smooth and excellent, staff was very friendly and professional, room was clean, and everything that it said was provided indeed was! I will definitely recommend to anyone...we'll be back!!

Disappointed

A lot of wear and tear in the room. Marks on wall, streaks on kitchen counter, picture hangers with no picture, damage to surface of bedroom chest and bottom leg of dresser in family room. Bathroom drain would not close. This room needs renovation.

stayed here for 3 days with my boyfriend , very spacious room and the room was just overall very nice by itself we were very pleased and will be back again

Great stay!!

The staff were very welcoming and the room was comfortable and very spacious. We had a great time. The location was close to lots of places to eat and just 25 minutes from Calloway Gardens. Will definitely stay there again!!

Me and my boyfriend really enjoyed our stay here, we had a good space for the kitchen to cook and it was an big open space , the front desk staff were very nice and helped me when i wanted to add on an extra day to our stay with no problems , we will be back again .

The staff were helpful and friendly my room was clean. I think if there was some bottle water in the room would be delightful for your guests after a long travel.

It was a graet stay at a great price and convenient to everything that we were there for.

Lack of services

Hotel was as advertised, upon checkin clerk was very friendly, actually upgraded our room due to the Holiday, unfortunately we discovered that their was no housekeeping on duty, even had to take out our own trash and exchange our towels at front desk. Other than that, every employee we encountered was extremely friendly.

Privacy

The only problem I had was with the sheer curtain on the bedroom window. My room was on the 2nd floor and you could see right into the bedroom from the parking lot. This needs to be addressed.

The front desk clearly Chelsea is very polite and very helpful. I could just mention in my question "how many people live in Columbus Georgia?" And she already would be on the computer researching it's population. She is definitely an asset for people visiting unfamiliar with the area. She is very receptive to questions as to where to eat and looked out for one's safety, by expressing her concerns over us, by just letting her us know not to walk at night, especially during the holidays! I know it's common sense not to walk around at night anywhere anyways but I saw her genuine concern!👍

Paint peeling in bathroom, carpet was stained and worn, excessive noise from pipes in the walls and very loud young guest running all over the hotel and playing in the elevators.

treadmill in fitness room did not display speed or distance. Our room 220 had ? gum on the ceiling in the corner of the sitting area. The picture had fingerprints on the plastic covering the picture. The people who worked at the property were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast and eating area were nice

Good Hotel

Hotel was clean and staff very friendly. Included breakfast and free parking. Had everything we needed for the night.

Property is in an excellent location. That being said, this place could use some updates or attention. Hall carpet on the 3rd floor is stained all over the place, and there is something very wrong with the main door to each room. The door has obviously had some changes made to its lock hardware which make it too large for the doorjam, you have to put your shoulder to the door just to get it open! At first I thought it was our particular room, but I obvserved 4 other guests trying to enter their rooms the same way on floors 1 & 3, so it must be a common issue. We planned to use the pull-out couch option but the size (maybe a full size mattress) and condition of the unit, made it unusable.

Nice affordable property

Never would recommend this hotel. Staff was beyond friendly but that’s where it ends. The hotel is showing its age; no one is repairing- broken pieces on a lot of furniture, stained carpet, no cleaning whatsoever. And no it’s not Covid clean even though it’s posted. The kitchen chairs had sticky pop as well as the floor. No idea when it was actually mopped. The picture attached is the bathroom sink missing the stopper and shows “tons of hair” stuck in the drain. So unsanitary. And the parking....so there was a party in the meeting room and the attendees that were not hotel guests parked at the curbs, under the main entrance roof, anywhere they could to keep from walking too far. So when paying guests like us had to park far away from the entrances due to no spaces. At no time did the front desk personnel make any of them move to parking spots out back. It was ridiculous. And I don’t ever base my review on the breakfast bar, but it was bad. Might as well skip it. Stay somewhere else. There are so many,many options on Whittlesey rd you should avoid this place!!!!!!

Overall a good stay. Bed was pretty old. And no hot breakfast one day

The room was adequate and clean. We did have 2-3 small roaches but nothing extreme.

The common areas were clean and well lit. The bedroom was clean and large I got a 2 room suite. The furniture could use updating and the sofa bed was not comfortable as a sofa don’t want to think what it was like as a bed.
