Very poor, I would not recommend to anyone

I was unable to check in, once I arrived the entire place was dark, not one light. I was not able to find the front office. I called and called and got no answer. I don’t understand why a hotel would allow people in a stressful situation like having suffered a traumatic experience to book a room knowing there was no power. I have yet to speak to anyone and no one has offered me a refund for my money.

These was no power and no room available. As soon as we arrived, the manager met us outside and sent us home and told to contact Expedia for a refund. She was polite and helpful, but we had driven a long way so it was disappointing to be sent home.

No power

The property had no power after Hurricane Beryl. The only reason I booked a room was to escape from the blistering Houston heat after our home was also left with no power. I would not have booked this if I had known the place had no power. Obviously, we didn’t stay. I’m awaiting a refund.

We went to check in and the office didn't have our reservations. The outside is dirty. The room had bugs and was very outdated.

On my second night there, a transformer had blown so we lost power in our room, no A/C or lights. They refused to refund me for my room and still haven’t refunded me the $50 deposit they took for the room! We left that night as I have a 4 month old and 4 yr old so we couldn’t be without electricity or A/C in this heat! They told me it’s not their fault it’s the cities so they couldn’t refund me, even though I left around 8pm (waited 2 hours to see if the problem was going to be fixed first).

No hot water

No hot water to shower! They send someone and was told its normal for it to be warm but not hot there . I spent 7 nights with cold showers. Changing the room was not going to make a difference because its their building like this .

Not encouraging, No breakfast as it was stated online, No cleaning if room or change if bed sheet after each day.

They woke us up and say we have to pay for the room again even thou we paid through travelocity

A/C unit was not working. Felt sketchy and unsafe. Property is old and not well maintained.

It was ok to just be a couple of nights. Its actually bug free and its better than whats expected

No toiletries, no cooking utensils or cook ware, could not get fresh towels, and stairwell smelled like urine.

This property has roaches, and gnats. I got a non smoking room that reeked of cigarettes. Curtains had holes in them as well as the chairs in the room. Paint was peeling off of the walls, cabinets, doors, etc. The only things that were even slightly upgraded were the fridges and microwave, but the environment itself makes you steer clear of even eating or storing food in the room. I didn’t use anything in this room, not even the shower, I barely used the toilet after attempting to hold my bladder . Honestly the whole experience with this property was pure cringe. This place is inhumane

The Property was very run down. The rooms were very dirty. The door did not even close properly, we were unable to lock the door the entire stay. The bathroom was very dirty and the door in the bathroom would also not close. We went downstairs to the property manager to ask for clean towels And a remote control as there were none in the room and we were only given one towel. We had to wait a long time to even speak to anyOne, finally when someone came to the desk, they were very rude to everyone who was there. Also, If you have any type of allergies, do not stay at this property. As the whole entire property smell like smoke, cigarette smoke and marijuana smoke.

The staff was rude and unprofessional

They have floors but elevator is not working. As pregnant, I had to climb up to 3rd floor. Stairs are very dark without lights. Room is also very dark even with lights. The room door is shaky and doesn’t feel secured/safe even with lock on. Bathroom door couldn’t close properly. It’s supposed to be non-smoking room, it smells very bad inside the room. Blanket has holes on it, not sure if they washed/changed it. Noise canceling is not good either. I can hear people chatting outside, and cars drive by very loud. Will not come back again.

Arrived to check in at property and is run down. Pictures are way outdated of exterior. At check in I was told their washer was broke and our beds had no covers or pillows. I told them to cancel my reservation. Called expedia and had them refund my money. Good thing I prepaid based on other reviews I probably would not have gotten my money back without sueing them. Will never stay at any Red Roof looking at reviews of their other properties. Their 1-800 number was no help at all. Spend a little more and get a room at a better chain.

Very ghetto location! Management is unprofessional

I’m in a wheelchair. Their elevator was broke and they did not have rooms on the first floor. Keep my money and refused to reimburse me due to their lack on adjustments.

The room was dirty. They used some type of plastic to cover the back of the toilet. The lady at the front desk was very rude. Housekeeping was very rude. The remote didn’t work for the tv. Charged me a deposit and didn’t wanna give me it back when the room was already smelly n dirty. Glad I only needed to store my stuff for a couple days

The worst hotel I’ve ever seen. Unhelpful and uncaring staff, drug deals happening right around the corner and the smell coming through the hallways was terrible. Will never go anywhere near this hotel again.

The young lady at the front desk was nothing short of unprofessional and extremely disrespectful to all not to mention confrontational. Her facial expressions confirms she has some some personal struggles. And one she had some mixed up with another person and caused an entire scene very negative environment. I rarely leave reviews bad ones at that . But this property i would try to avoid moving forward. Thank you 😊

Horrible Experience

My Stay was Horrible. The upkeep was bad as well. The first room that I was given had a bashed in Flat screen tv on the wall. The 2nd room given had absolutely NO CURTAIN at the window. It took almost 30 minutes for the Front Desk clerk to bring one up. The floors were unmopped and the shower was dirty. The sides of the Commode was filthy and the stove didn't work, last but not least the Elevator was Out of Order. I Definitely WOULD NOT recommend this Hotel to stay at.

I stayed in room 247 and the ac went out and the pest control was not under control..

Lots of questionable activities going on there. The hotel did not look like the pictures at all. It was dirty and smelled bad. No towels or soap provided. Door didn't close properly. Didn't feel safe. I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay there. Terrible experience.

The place is old and rundown. It is a more of an apartment complex than a hotel due to long term residents. The room was clean, but the rest of the place was dirty, trash littered the hallways and it smelled of urine. People sat in the stairways smoking and blocking the way. They also required that I pay a $100 deposit in cash even though the room had been reserved and paid for through Expedia.No one was ever at the front desk and the main door to the office was locked. You had to ring a bell in the front and then walk to the side and deal with them through a window.

They don’t return deposit on the same day that you check out

Although it's on camera people were constantly in and out of my room while I was away and while I slept. I woke up to someone here. The lady in the front office who doesn't even work here spit towards people as well. No housekeeping

There were cockroaches in the kitchen and bathroom, the room smelled musty, the doors and walls had all kinds of dirty stains all over it, and some guys were repairing their car and yelling until 5am. Security did nothing. I was certainly not going to speak to them and put myself in jeopardy. It was like being in the hood. Never again.

They need an exterminator!!!! The room had so many roaches (dead and alive). The floor wasnt swept, table and comunter not wiped down, and stove didnt work. The desk clerk wanted to give me a key to another room, so i could go cook in there.

The stay at this hotel was interesting. I felt that I was a staying in a ghetto place when I first met the receptionist. She was behind glass window and I was outside. This is probably normal due to Covid. This place does have an elevator, but there's dog pees and trash everywhere. They don't seem to have good cleaning maintenance on their property. Very disgusting. Finally the room they had wasn't well cleaned. It had leftover food and drinks from the last tenant. It's like they gave me a room without doing any cleaning. So wrong. Makes be question whether they even clean anything at all.

I would pick somewhere else.

The experience at this hotel was horrible. The room had an overall smell, like a mildewy smell. The water wasn't working either it was too hot or wasn't hot enough and the rooms didn't really have a drain. This hotel also had roaches and my husband had to go buy some raid spray to kill them.

The Management Team and Staff are amazing very professional, but the hotel is badly kept not to clean.

The room was filthy. Looks like it has not ever been cleaned properly. There were roaches and tiny blood spots on blankets. I normally do not leave negative reviews, if I do not like something I just won’t return but the filth in this case was especially egregious. Walls, floors, door handles all had obvious stains. It’s just unacceptable for humans to stay there. Very disappointed. Will never return.

They did not explain there was no hot water. They handed me papers but I did not know boiler worked on meant no hot water. Why would you rent a room with no hot water. We had to take out our on trash to the trash bin.

Best place I have stayed at in a very long time. From the management to the front desk staff and housekeeping crew, they are all very friendly, hopefully and accommodating. I am very much enjoying my stay and very happy here.

Cleanliness? How about the bags of garbage in the hallway outside my room? The toilet that wouldnt stop running, the broken refrigerator the naked light bulbs, the cigarette burns in the paper thin comforter? They have let this place go. Whoever owns this place is obviously putting minimal funds into maintenance. It was probably my worst stay of anything booked on hotels.com. Stay away.

Upon arrival there was a woman yelling at a male and slamming his car doors. She seemed like she had been drinking and had a beer in her hand. I told the office personnel and someone went out to address her. The office was not open, all business was handled through a window, a sign of an unsafe place.

Expect to see a lot of roaches and meth heads. There were several cockroaches in my room. Also a lot of unsavory characters hanging around the property. Lots of ghetto people. Lots of junkies.

The fire alarm kept going off as if it was a joke. I called for room to be cleaned and clean towels no one came. And a lot of people were hanging out and walking by the cars looking in which to me is unsafe. It was noisy the whole stay and I was unable to get any rest before getting back on the road to drive home

The property itself was disgusting, walls are paper thin so you hear everyone and everything. Kids are running up and down the halls playing and screaming all day. Rooms reek of cigarettes

Not a good place to stay. The rooms smell weed, and are very noisy. It’s difficult to find sleep with people talking or having a party next door. Also, the hotel didn’t seem safe to stay, as I saw numerous suspicious people. Furthermore, the room had a lot of bugs, which scared the hell out of me.

This property is in foul condition! I know that I should temper my expectations when booking inexpensive hotels, but there should be a minimum acceptable standard of cleanliness. There was an unacceptable amount of trash in the stairwells, walkways, and parking lot. The room smelled like smoke. On the walkway outside of the room there were several bottles of urine. The grounds outside are blanketed in cigarette butts and dog crap. There were bugs in my room. They were ladybugs, so I guess it could have been worse, but how does housekeeping miss something like that? If it were cleaned up, it would be a decent enough place to spend a night.

I booked this place rather quickly and didn't take the time to read the reviews, which was a big mistake. This place did not look like the pictures that accompanied the listing. It was bit rough around the edges and not as clean as I would have hoped.

Roach Motel. There was a roach infestation in my room, I asked to be moved only for the roaches to be in the new room as well.

Ghetto stink never came and gave me different sheets stayed there for more than a week
