On the plus side, the room was spacious and clean, although basic, and the staff was nice. It was also a convenient six or seven-minute walk from the Hollywood/Western subway station. The room needed to better illuminated, as its only lighting came from two dim ceiling fixtures. The illumination could be much improved by the addition of a floor lamp, as well as bedside lamps on either side of the bed. The gentleman at reception kind enough to lend us one bedside lamp.

Served our needs. We were in town for one night before a Route 66 trip. There’s a small parking lot out back, which was extra convenient. We had a late check-in (after lobby door locked) due to flight timing, and staff was there to let us in. No frills, but that’s just what we wanted and expected.

Safe, quiet and convenient.

We spent only one night out of four due the extremely poor conditions and they refunded only two rather than three. From the moment we entered, we met people in bad conditions. The room was tidy but with few amenities. The heating system was really noisy. The bedspread had holes and to thin. The bathroom was marked with cigarettes burn on walls and sink. The next morning ther was a cockroach in the shower. You could hear the conversation of the other rooms and smoke. The smell was unbearable.

Overall nice experience

Located about 8 minutes of slow walk from Hollywood Western Metro Station. Other than the metro station, i do not see any homeless people hanging around, as some of the reviews have claimed, so i felt safe during my stay. Basic hotel that meets my needs. Room is clean and the TV has a wide selection of channels, including HBO. Overall, for the price, this hotel is a good deal, clean and conveniently located near the metro.

Room was huge. It smelled of cleaning products though and there were no lamps at the bedside so you had to turn off the light and make your way to the bed in the dark. (I used my cellphone for light though, lol). For the price it was comfortable, had a TV, refrigerator (wish there were a microwave - it had none). It was secure, and had a nice hot shower. No frills and thrills. Got the job done.

The room was clean and the bed was fairly comfortable. It was difficult to find parking so we had to park on the street. The room door and hallway carpet was very old and dirty and the door was hung crooked which didn't feel very safe.

It’s a ok place to stay in Hollywood. Staff was nice and helpful, but no facial tissue in the room , coffee machine has no coffee, only hot water available.

Budget hotel was perfect for our needs, close enough to enjoy many kinds of foods in a short work. close to the hollywood walk of fame. We had friends staying at a fancy hotel to the West and we had less issues than them. Construction and traffic noise can be an annoyance for the 1-3 rooms closest to the front. We were the 2nd room upstairs and traffic never woke us up.

Regretfully, the area has gotten worse since 25 years ago, despite the motel's cleanliness and competent management. Unclean sidewalks and a large number of homeless people, especially in the metro area. The neighborhood is filthy and horrible 👎. I hope the council will take a close look at it.

Came here to spend the night after attending a concert nearby. We had a very smooth check in and the staff was very helpful and kind. Our hotel room was clean and we slept peacefully, but parking spaces are very limited. However, when we arrived there were many spots still left. Would plan to stay here again!

I payed under 120 for this room it wasn’t the newest but it was good nice and clean the customer service was great. they let us check in early and we had no problem coming back very late ( we were staying there cuz we went to horror nights). Idk what his name was he might of been a maintenance man because we saw him speaking to house keeping but that man was very kind and helpful because of him I’m giving this inn 5 stars thankyou sir 😊

The average cheap hotel

I parked outside half of the time cuz parking was full. Main door closed after hours making it inconvenient to go to back for entry. A/C so loud it woke me up every time it turned on. Sink flooded suddenly out of nothing. Refrigerator worked fine. I wish there was a microwave too. Comforter was ok but sheets could be better. Price was fair I guess

Staff was rude as my husband said how you doing brother to a worker and he said that’s now how you greet someone and started a fight like he was going to start a fight. For sure not the hotel or location I thought I was booking. This hotel is in the HOOD!

Clean rooms and comfy bed.

The hotel was better than expected, especially for the price. The area is somewhat sketchy, so we were glad to find that parking was behind the building and not on the street. However, the amount of parking spots was limited compared to how many rooms there are. We were lucky to take the last parking spot on two of the three nights we stayed. The receptionist was really kind and checking in went smoothly. The room was bigger than expected. We found a few stains on the sheets and the floor, but it wasn't terrible. The bathroom was clean and the toilet had some anti-tamper tape on it to prove that it had been cleaned. A hair dryer, some soap and shampoo was provided. The pole for the shower curtain had some cheap tape duct tape around the wall, most likely a cheap fix, but the shower itself was fine. The room came with a mini fridge and a television with DirectTV, which worked great. The free WiFi required us to accept their terms once every day but worked quite well after that. The hotel definitely had a few small issues but was more than serviceable. In fact we were surprised, considering the price, that the room was so spacious, came with all the amenities we needed and the issues that were there were so minimal. The area is the biggest consideration - I'd be nervous going out late by myself. Luckily they have a guard and lock the front door at 10:30 pm, only letting those with keycards get inside. Overall, we would definitely stay again if we were to return to Hollywood.

For the most part the hotel was what you paid for. I stayed with my 15 month old, sister and mom. We felt safe for the most part. We didn’t hear a lot of the street noise. We also didn’t have a problem with the parking but I felt like some people did. Staff was amazing they let us check in earlier than the 4pm check in time.

It’s a no for me.

This hotel was such a disappointment. There’s literally no furniture. It’s got a bed, little table, weird bench, tiny tv and a fridge. The room is VERY dark even with both lights on. There’s no closet, no hangers, no bedside lamp, no coffee maker, zero countertops for cosmetics in the bathroom apart from the toilet lid., literally the basic of basics. Tiny parking just for few cars… if all the spots are taken then you have to find parking on the street which may be challenging. I do not recommend and I will never stay there again. If you need to stay in the are go somewhere else…. Just check some chain hotels at least you’ll know what to expect. I’m just gonna add that for two people we got two paper thin large towels, 1 small towel and 1 face cloth. That’s it… the same with toiletries 1 set only.

For the price it is value for money. I would stay again.

Unsafe Place: Full of Homeless & Weird People

This place was horrible. We saw a lot of homeless people and a lot of “characters”. I noticed they let just anyone stay there. We felt unsafe and LEFT the next day, one night before the checkout. We decided to book at another hotel for the remaining time.

The location is convenient and relatively clean. But there were no non smoking room options and there was a VERY STRONG smell of some kind of smoking going on and the window wouldn’t open. The location was convenient, however. Walking distance to the palladium and lots of restaurants. They have parking behind the hotel that you can only access through a small alley which actually made it feel like your car is safe. Overall, you get what you pay for. If you’re in town for a show and just need a place to crash this is good for the price.

Cheap enough room for no complaints. Ok neighborhood. Quiet, spacious rooms. Definitely lacking amenities. Even a bedside lamp would be helpful, as well as a coffee maker. Also needs more than 2 flat pillows for 2 people..overall, ok

I like the location and the building is not bad. My biggest problem with the hotel is, it was not clean. As soon as you walk in it smells like indian food, and the carpet and stairs are sticky. I go into my room to find the restroom filthy. Hand stain on door(idk what?!), hair and stain all over toilet bath and sink!. I call the front immediately and complained. Fronts desk reply was " impossible, i cleaned it" i realized the hotel is run by a family. After he said he would come up to check. He never did, so we left for our event. I've stayed here on 4 or 5 separate occasions....this is an excellent budget hotel ... Quiet.....except for Sunset late at night with sirens happening all the time..but this isn't any fault of the staff....the location is great as well

Time at check in the guy at front Desk was very welcoming, my designated room was big enough, clean, bathroom amenities included, it’s was a bit cold in LA, I turned the heat on working pretty well, there is mini desk in the room very convenient, there was no closet or any cabinet where to store your clothes, Hotel was walking distance from Hollywood blv and shopping store, it’s safe place, very quiet and it was very affordable price too I definitely will stay here again.

When I walked in, the smell was terrible at first. I sat on the bed and the itching started, I couldn't sleep because of the itching until the morning. I didn't even take a shower, I left immediately. The hotel and everything very old.

Worst hotel I've ever seen! Stay Away from it...

The worst hotel I've ever seen, they didn't have drinking water in their hotel, they only had a coffee machine in the office which was broken and a vending machine which I didn't test it because it didn't have water and even if it had it would probably be broken or something, after checking in we realized there are some blood spots on the blanket and dirt spots on the sheets which was very gross and there were a lot of homeless and addicted people outside the hotel so it's not safe at all and also at midnight there are many criminals fighting beside the hotel and because of the old windows that they have you can hear the noises and voices and there's the smell of weed all night so you can't sleep. I'm so sad that I wasted my money on this place. Please stay away from this fright house.

Nice place for the money....

This is not a 5 Star hotel, but it is comfortable. It is a little dated and could use an upgrade, but it's not a bad place. The bed was comfortable and the shower worked great and had hot water. No pest or critters in my room, so that makes me happy. I would love to have a microwave in my room to go with the mini fridge. All in all, for what you pay compared to what you get is not bad. I will stay here again.

It was great for the price, nothing fancy, but clean and simple. Really close to subway and bus stops. It was clean, no bugs, roaches and housekeeping everyday. Area has a reputation for homelessness, but I never felt unsafe. The people around left me alone. Very quick and easy check-in with no deposit required. I have no complaints.

Stay in LA

This is a no frills place that met all of my needs. I wanted a reasonably priced place in this neighborhood. The staff was friendly and the room was clean and large. Pillows were nice and the bed was comfortable. No complaints.

It the third time I've stayed there the check in was quick & easy

The hotel was generally convenient for visiting LA/Hollywood area. Chose this place because it had parking included, but lot was full and had to park on street 2 out of 3 nights. Placed in a room right next to front door. Only had a single pulsating bluish UV overhead light. Despite key card access, the front door is closed after 10 pm. Requiring a walk around the block to get in (front room was closest to front door and furthest from the back). The AC/heat unit smelled like someone had peed in it. Seems like they could afford to make this place a bit nicer.
