Very old property, mold smell everywhere, washroom shower room is old, very outdated, definitely not 4star hotel

The staff is very good the rates are excellent the restaurant is excellent

If your company are kids or old persons, it would be pretty hard and far to get to the subway. Other than that, it is a nice place to stay and kind of quiet.

Jessica and staff were very helpful, buffet had a great selection of food and the location is not in a busy tourist area so you get to experience true Shanghai.

The hotel staff where very hospitable and supportive, we arrived on a 10 hour flight, arriving at 8am at the hotel and Valentino assisted in getting us checked in quickly, we also had special dietary needs and Nina was supportive in meeting those needs and having a separate pot for cooking vegetarian omelettes, Sam from Concierge supported us in our transit to Beijing, Eli also was extremely helpful in all our queries, brilliant staff, the hotel is also walking distance from shops and restaurants, a few halal options nearby, also very close to the metro and we used the metro for touring the city, ideal location

It is a very clean hotel with the most comfortable bed I ever had before.

Many restaurants nearby and it is close to all kinds of transportation , very convenient. The room is quiet, people is nice and price is reasonable.

High quality service at a fair price.

The hotel met our expectations throughout our two week stay. The room with 2 double beds where we stayed the first week was spacious however the beds were a bit firm. The rooms with the king size bed differ in size depending on their location. The pool and gym were fantastic. The staff is very friendly and helpful especially the concierge who ordered taxies for us and made sure the driver understood where to take us and Selma from reception who took efficient care of a rservation for an extra night for our children. Excellent daily housekeeping was provided and any request or problem was handled immediately. Breakfast offered a good variety of choices.

Location is very central, close to metro trains, staff is quite friendly, unfortunately our air condition wasn’t working well, we had to ask it to be fixed for three times!

The room heater is completely non functioning, otherwise an ‘ok’ hotel. About 8 minutes walk to metro station, breakfast was ok too, family mart close by to get a few amenities and malls within walking distance.

Just about average

I booked a double room but when I checked in they had sold out so I was only offered a single room. There was a sign saying building work was being carried out until 12.30pm every day butbtye noise went on well in to the afternoon. Also the walls where very thin, you could hear conversations and TV in the next room

More business than tourist

OK hotel quite close to 2 metro stations 500m each, but a long way from the centre if you want to see the brightnlights.

Ok for short stay

This hotel is starting to shows signs of age. The beds are a little hard and offer no other bedding options The room reasonably clean but could do with a freshen up. Mainly Chinese guests staying there. Some staff had English but not always easy to be understood Very difficult to get a cab in peak times

Fantastic hotel

Everything was excellent

Location is good. Near a couple of malls. I was in Shanghai for business and the hotel is near my office and the conference location. Hotel quality and standard is as expected of a Holiday Inn.

check-in and check-out pretty smooth. Size of room is good but general cleanliness is not so good. For example, the bed sheet was not change everyday, the room was not vacuum everyday. Sound insulation not so good (can hear sound from TV from next room). The gym and swimming pool is ok. The location is not as good. The nearest subway is about 800m away. There are no nearby food stalls available (within 500m) except one convenient store next to the hotel. The Chinese restaurant on level 1 is pretty good though. Dine there twice and good commence by my quests.

The staff at this hotel aim to please. The hotel offers western and Chinese food. Evenings are great as there is amazing piano playing in the lobby.

Nice clean hotel close to city center

I stayed for couple of nights and it was pleasant. I guess the hotel has been renovated or the hotel chain took over an older hotel and updated the facilities. The toilet is a little cheap for a 4 star hotel. Otherwise it is pretty clean.

Business Trip

I noticed their price has come down, so I stayed at this hotel compare to my usual hotel in Shanghai. You get what you pay for with the Holiday Inn brand. But, what the same price, I can stay at a newer hotel in the same area. I guess the consistency is why I gave them the 4 stars.

Staff not good but others all good

Bad experience when check out. Staff told me to wait till the someone finish checkout. But after the customer done the staff just go away and asked another customer to check out. Ignored me.

Convenient location & friendly and smiley staff

Even though the staff's English isn't the greatest in the world they still try to do the absolute best that they can in order to provide you with the best service. It was much appreciated. They also went out of their way to help me get to where I wanted to go without having to deal with the stress and confusion that can sometimes come with hiring a taxi. The area was conveniently located and close to some great restaurants and bars. The room was clean and comfortable. Booked twice in one week since I was satisfied with the service provided during the first part of my stay.

Good for Business trevellers

Nice hotel, staffs are friendly and helpful. I needed a late check out and they allowed me to stay until 3PM. But I am not sure about one thing.....the used towels in the bathroom. Do they just fold back the used ones or do they put clean towels?? No air condition in April..... There are regular restaurants around--nothing special. But the 24 room service is not bad. Hotel breakfast buffet is nothing special. Language was not a major issue here. For regular tourists, this may NOT be a great location. Bund is 20 mins drive- about RMB 40-50 by taxi, Airport is 1 hour cost RMB 200. City Center is about 3 miles. There are couple of Halal restaurants nearby and historical Huxi Mosque is only 10 mins walk from the hotel.

Easily to hear noise neighboring room - could not sleep well during the night time. Service is good.

Exceptionally friendly staff

The Customer Service provided by Doris, Front Office Manager was outstanding - had a small issue with the room's A/C and the shower; without any hesitation was upgraded to a full Suite so that the stay could proceed with no further inconveniences. Alan, the Food Services Manager, Mark and Silence were very attentive during meals and went out of their way to ensure the food was well presented and tasted good. The level of service here at this property is exceptional and no effort is spared to please guests. I would recommend this Hotel to future travelers.

The room, bed, shower, pillows, bedroom were all very nice. It was a short walk to the metro and we would stay here again. That being said there was another hotel that was half the distance to the metro that I would want to check out their price and room quality.

There are two subway lines in nearby area which is convenient.

4-star hotel at a bargain price

great facilities, friendly and communicative staff... location is a bit iffy though not terribly far from pudong... solid 4-star hotel at the best price compared to other similar hotels in shanghai

Good Business Hotel

Enjoyable - good service

OK hotel

I mainly use this hotel because it is convenient for my colleagues in China to pick me up and because it has a gym. Check-in and -out are usually quick, rooms are OK size and clean, internet works. Not a lot to do around and no fancy lobby bar, but that's OK for me.

Does it for me

I mainly us this hotel because it is located in a convenient spot for my business partners to pick me up. Most important aspects for me are that the rooms are clean, quiet, that the internet works and that there is a gym which I can use either very early morning or late at night. Seems to me the building was not conceived as a hotel initially but transfromed later, there are better lounges for business meetings / talks. There area few superettes, cafes and restaurants within walking distance but don't expect any great nightlife. About 1 hr away from Pudong Airport. Staff speaks English.

Wasn't too bad

In general, the hotel was good. It was about an hour away from the airport (my business reason). The bedding was hard. There was no internet in the room. Breakfast was so-so. The price was slightly on the expensive side.

Excellent hotel!

This hotel exceeded my expectations. Everything about my 6-night stay was excellent. All first-line staff members speak English (some better than others) and are always at your service. The room was large enough with a king size bed and plush pillows. The television was a little small and could not be adjusted to point in a specific direction. They have an ATM on-site, which converts USD into RMB at the best rate you can find, and does not charge a service fee. I wonder if all hotels have this? The bathroom was small but not absurdly so (I’ve stayed at hotels in Manhattan that were much smaller at quadruple the rate), and the lighting could be improved. You have to pay additional for WiFi (around 100 RMB per day), which I don’t like, but the amount is not usurious. As for location, I cannot comment; however, the website said the hotel is located near the convention center, which is not correct. I wasn’t able to checkout the local scene due a sprained ankle, which the hotel staff brought ice for every night. I would highly recommend this hotel. For the price, service and amenities it was excellent.

The over all experience was good. However, the internet was not free for everyone.

Good value

I have stayed at this hotel a few times and although I consider it good value for money and well located, I stay away from the breakfast area in the morning as it is a complete chaos. Food selection is poor and service slow with not enough staff to cater for the usually large crowd.

Flott sted med god beliggenhet. Store rom og komfortable senger. Fint bassengområde i øverste etasje. Basseng til svømming, boblebad, badstuer, solsenger. Praktisk med 7-11 i bygget. Det var også en kafé med Starbucks-kaffe. I området er det mange steder å spise, og to metrostasjoner innen 5-8 minutters gange. Gå også en tur med til elva bak hotellet, fint turområde og hyggelig spiseområde med mange små restauranter.

Smelly, but with very good service

High quality service, but horrible state of the hotel, with smell of cigarettes in most of the room sections, including the rooms. Obviously a very old hotel, with a slab of paint on it.

Gutes Hotel das etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. Vor allem im Badezimmer merkt man das. Das Frühstücksbuffet war für Europäer in Ordnung. Die Lage ist gut. Das Personal war effektiv, aber eher kühl.

Pretty good place to stay, good service especially in the restaurant for breakfast. Just a little bit old as the hotel run for so many years, but it's still good.

The house keeping is the best part of the Hotel. I have been here twice and they just keep giving us surprises with a note. And I really read the note that is so meaningful. This note written only happen in Ritz and cruise. I think this give this hotel going. The breakfast is great , simple and got everything that is a breakfast is call for. However the chef at the Egg counter with a smile 😀😃😊will be the best a good morning can bring to us. I hope she feel better now. She is the hardest worker their and we all so appreciate her cooking. The noodles chef is great. And wonderful. The soup was not hot but she try. Maybe just too many people. This hotel is the house keeping and the breakfast keep this hotel running.

空港バスをチェックインの際、予約しようとしたところ、フロントでは「知らない、聞いたこともない」と話が通らず、コンシェルジュでようやく理解される始末だった。

フロントスタッフが笑顔で対応してくれます。話し方にも余裕があり事務的ではありません。コンビニも施設内にファミリーマートがあるし、食事場所も近くにあります

服務人員非常親切，進房時還準備了小卡片與毛巾小熊，因為提早到達飯店還贈送果汁卷供我們休息使用，雖然離地鐵站需走五分鐘但仍算方便的地點

総じてなじみやすく快適。基本的な期待はすべて満たされ、十分に清潔で、でも華美に過ぎず、フレンドリーで疲れない。

不滿意的是房間入面衣櫃是破爛的，早餐食物很多是涼了，早餐煮麵的姐姐態度有所改善這 ，整體清潔及服務員服務都很好
