Staff are polite, helpful and provide customer quality service. Tha manager of the hotel is so kind and gave me a cake on my bday.

My room had poor toilet maintenance. It had an ammonia like smell which may have come from unclean, reused cleaning materials from other rooms and the shower head seems to be a bit loose leaving it dangling and spraying everywhere - the hotel management was made aware of this and they offered us a new room. Other than that, the room it self had beautiful furnishings, design, and a great view of the oriental tower! The hotel staff were also very friendly and generous; they offered us drinks such as coffee, water, and tea anytime free of charge. I would definitely stay here again!

Avoid this hotel.. Guest smokes on room and staff will not do anything to stop it. To save electricity, they set the AC at 28 degrees with no windows that can be opened to allow ventilation..

I liked the concierge desk, which was very helpful during my stay — finding my way around the city, how to take the metro, getting taxi for me. Thanks to Val, Frank, and everyone manning the doors and helping with our baggages. You filled in the language gaps (I don’t speak Chinese) and made our life easier.

the stay is clean and quiet, and close to sub-way too. it does not provide shuttle to airport even though Orbitz site said so.

A good hotel for work trip

The location is near to Metro station. Wonderful gym and they serve good breakfast. Will recommend for anyone who are going for work trip

The staff is helpful but they constantly bother you about anything and everything. The executive lounge is nice but the staff stands and stare at you all day as if you are in a prison.

good hotel shame about the prostitutes

This hotel is fine, it's clean and the facilities are quite good if a little limited. The breakfast is excellent and the staff are friendly. However, during the course of one week, only once or twice did I manage to make it from outside the hotel to the elevators inside without being approached for a 'massage'. I only used the hotel bar once for the same reason. Nothing against the sex trade per se, but if blatant prostituion had been listed on the hotel's facilities then it might have influenced my decision to stay there.

Hotel staff was one of the best i have come across in China, quite lively and eager to help. Special thanks to the concierge, team at the morning breakfast and bell boy at the hotel main entrance. The hotel has a very good breakfast spread. It is about 15 min taxi ride to the New Expo Centre. As others too have pointed out, it could take a while in the morning to find taxi, but the hotel staff does its best to call a cab ASAP. It is located about 100 mtrs from a metro station Line 4. A few 7 Elevens / Family marts/ Coffee shops in near proximity to the hotel. It has a 24 hour inform dining and a special menu for vegetarian dishes. The only thing sucked during my stay was that there was a constant smell in the room ( Room 1817) . I tried various things such as change of bedsheets, change of pillows etc but to now await. I suspect the smell was from the carpets or the back board of the bed.

Family trip

Really nice hotel. Pool was good. Everything clean. Not luxurious but nice. Breakfast buffet was good. Hotel even left a cake in room for husband's birthday. Really was happy with stay and choice. If I was to be picky I would say the rooms were a little small.

I can not believe that a hotel will bring a cake for your birthday, I was there for two weeks and this is the first time I ever been to a hotel and they bring a birthday cake to me. Beside that, the hotel is very nice and there staffs that speak English and it is a great hotel to book. I will book it again when I go back to shanghai.

Nice room but staff need more training

Pros: upgraded room was nice and so is the facility. Con: I found the staff at the check in counter to be unhelpful. Slow and reactive, allowed line cutters while I was trying to check in. Asked for a plug adaptor and it was never delivered to me. The same can be said for the guy at the taxi queue. I once lined up at the queue for minutes before he would acknowledge me. I had to be proactive in asking him to call a taxi despite being in line clearly labeled for taxi. Nice hardware, but the human factor needs a lot more work!

Lacking the Hotels.com points but the hotel is fab

A wonderful stay only marred by the fact that Hotels.com have not issued the points. I'm at the point of wanting/needing to book another hotel within the group and I can't as these points haven't yet been added to the account. I hope I don't lose out because Hotels.com haven't answered my emails yet. I've only waited three weeks yet two days ago a booking I had for Sandakan was added today so feeling happy with that addition. Just need stamps 19 and 20 to take advantage of two nights. Come on hotels.com, get your finger out. Holiday Inn Pudong - marvellous, better than Rad Blu and Crowne Plaza!

Quiet but difficult to get taxi n taxi service to hotel is no good, Too many Similar name hotel in Shanghai

A very pleasant stay!

I stayed here 3 nights for a work trip. My expectations were relatively low as globally Holiday Inns can be hit and miss. This hotel was definitely a hit. The room was spacious, with good facilities and a great bath! I'd highly recommend to others

Good hotel

So far so good, the room is big and very comfortable, next time I go Shanghai, I will choose again!

Good value for Pudong area

Western style restaurant was closed, not advised by front desk. WiFi is terribly slow unless you wait unitl 2 -6 am. Room was large, furnishings were dated. Shower is pretty good, no tub.

Comfortable Stay

The Breakfast and the location was ideal to stay. The Subway is at walking distance and the supermarket is equally near too.

there was a terrible smell outside the entrance, like a leaking sewer was under the building. The room was hot and I could not control the temperature - sweating - and could not open a window. Good and friendly service at breakfast, however. People were helpful and nice. Very tired and worn interior. Clean room however. Expensive for what you got.

Staff are not customer focused. Concierge did not receive me well. Asked for advance Taxi booking for next day was not done (they appear to be confident of getting taxi at the last minute) - in the end, I had to wait for 15 mins for taxi which is disturbing as I need to catch a flight.

Excellent 4star hotel with great hotel facilities

Stayed in a standard room and was one of the best 4star hotels i have ever stayed at. However downside that they have central airconditioning and no in-room windows to open. Also, the bathroom and shower space was a bit smaller than i wouldve liked. Overall, nice stay and would highly recommend.

OK for the price I paid

Rooms are clean,but furniture has seen better days. Breakfast is barely adequate.Offers many things,but w/o much taste. The danish has some kind of strange oil taste.

Nice 4-star hotel in Shanghai PuDong

The location is quite convenient in PuDong, can walk to subway station; and easy to find all kinds and levels of food in the nearby area. We lived on a high floor, which we liked a lot; The non-smoking room was clean and comfort, and was really non-smoking, which my son was very happy with; The service staff we met were all friendly and helpful, from the reception, to the taxi help, or the health center. Overall pleasant experience to us, and we'll stay again if we visit again.

Good hotel but it needs improvement

The hotel was very nice. But........ It needs a face lift. It is time to bring the hotel up to date. Carpet and furnishings need to be replaced. Also, the internet was very slow and unreliable. This needs improvement. The staff was great!! Cannot say enough about the helpfulness of the staff. They were very efficient and friendly. I would recommend this hotel as long as they choose to update the property.....and soon. In fairness......I have seen much, much worse.

Great time & the staff was very knowledgeable. The room wouldn't go down to my USA Standard Temperature, but We are spoiled here. Don't forget High Tea at 3 and eat your breakfast down stairs and not at the executive lounge

very good business hotel - very convenient with all modern comforts. I had a particularly large corner room and it was very comfortable. cleanliness and hygiene was good and location also convenient particularly for expo center.

Althought the location is not the most convenient as it it located away from tourist sites, you will have a great sleep in this hotel as the rooms are spacious and the beds are extremely comfortable.

Shanghai last night

The rooms are to a very good standard, check in check out is always fast. The hotel is in a good location for local restaurants and bars. Ten minutes taxi ride to the Millennium underground shopping market. In the morning you can get to Pudong airport in less than one hour Taxis are always available.

Its a Holiday inn

This is a nice hotel. If you are traveling on business the accommodations are comfortable and at or above western standard. There is internet for a fee but its fast. There is a business center with english speaking staff and its centrally located to all of the commercial centers. There are a couple of hotels of equal comfort with similar amenities but I found this hotel to be the best value for the money. Clean and well furnished goes without saying.

Good one

Stayed here 4 years ago. It is still a very nice hotel. Night staffs at the restaurant look tired, but they did their best. Well, hookers are still in the bar like 4 years ago but they do not bother me.

Pudong Holiday Inn

Friendly staff at check in. I booked three rooms, and suprisingly at check in they upgraded two of the rooms! (didn't tell me why!) The superior rooms, have a shower only!!! The deluxe rooms, have a shower/tub combination, so if you want a soak after a long day make sure you book a deluxe room! Gym facilities were ok, four or five running machines, weights, rowing machine etc....steam room and jacuzzi were good too. Irish bar in hotel is expensive, even by UK prices, but it has a nice atmosphere to relax after a day shopping. Although they haven't brought the smoking ban in here yet, so cn be smokey at times. Hotel is near Pudian Road underground station on line 4, so handy to get around! Lots of restaurants nearby and even a mcdonalds for those requiring a familiar fast food!

Friendly, good value

While not plush my room was large, airy and bright, clean and comfortable. I was offered a buy up to executive floor and this actually worked well for me. In the upgrade free internet, breakfast and evening cocktails were included. This made it a breakeven for me but gave me a quiet top floor corner room. As I was in Shanghai to interview people, it also gave me a quiet space to use during the day. I cannot say enough about the staff. They were very friendly and helpful. The location near the subway and the Maglev was also a plus.

I enjoy staying there

Every time i go to shanghai, this hotel would be my first choice. It's near subway stations and you could go to anywhere via subway. It has a supermarket within 3 minutes walk. It has a large shopping mall with many different kinds of restrurant within 10 minutes walk. I love this hotel.

The hotel staff was very helpful and location was good for getting around town. The gym leaves a little to desire but okay to break a sweat

Best Holiday Inn Hotel

One of the best hotels I have stayed so far and excellent service. Pro Spacious Rooms Delicious Food They gave us 1 hour meeting room complimentary, my guests were impressed. Concierge service was excellent. Con Internet in the lobby is very expensive, when I tried to print documents, my credit was charged however the computer did not work.

Very Nice Hotel

My son and I stayed here one night. When we opened the door to our room we said quotWowquot. I have never stayed in such a beautiful Holiday Inn! Nice decor and amenities including a mini fridge. About 10 minute walk to subway station. Only negative - you have to pay for internet.

I had to stay one day in Shanghai. It's relatively close to the airport. 10 minute cab ride to the meglev, which beats taking a taxi to the airport. Shopping is somewhat close. The Next Age Mall and Time Square are about a 20-30 minute, but I'd recommend taking a 10 minute taxi ride. For those who are planning to come to Shanghai for the Expo, the hotel is walking distance to the site. The hotel's been renovated in preparation for the Expo. Even though the renovations are over, I still heard some construction sounds in the lower levels. There was no noise at night. The rooms are nice. The desk is somewhat low and the chair was uncomfortable. They also charged 80rmb for 1 day of internet access. Before, I recall it being free. The hotel is right next to the St. Regis (which sometimes has comparable rates). It's walking distance to the Courtyard Marriott and Intercontinental.

A down town jewel in the finance district

Arrived from a busy week in the interior from Pudong airport via Maglev then taxi to Hotel. Great location for easy access to city. Coincierge friendly , smiling helpful desk staff efficent all speak english. Loved the room clean modern with all little home luxeries incl. robe, slippers, cosmetics, TV with 3 international news and 3 movie channels, tea coffee etc. plus a card wallet card with all main city attractions written in Chinese which was inspired and facilitated getting taxis (parked just outside the door) to and from the city. Room service from both western & asian menus, good quality and inexpensive. Fantastic breakfasts !Coffee shops and McDonalds nearby if needed. Great hotel for all travellers highly recommended.

there is a good park very near to Hotel , also subway atation is just under the park, in the other hand, there is big shopping mall oposite side of park.

Kolla andra alternativ

Personalen va verkligen jätte snäll och hjälpsam. Hotellets skikt och framförallt rummets skikt va inte bra. Det kändes bortglömt och som att det inte uppdaterats något på många många år. Jag skulle nog rekommendera att välja ett hotell närmare turist stråket ändå. Det finns säkert massor med fantastiska områden i Shanghai och man får se till att komma närmare de områden.

Check in 的人員態度非常好，有問題也積極的幫助人。禮賓部的小哥，會幫忙代收包裹，包裹到了，也會積極通知房客。人員的部分，值得讚許。只是，酒店的網路不快，跟酒店的星級，無法匹配，在乎酒店網路速度的人，需要考慮一下。另外，要送洗衣服時，竟然和我說，假日沒有洗衣服務；這點大大的扣分，一間四星酒店，竟然沒有會假日沒有洗衣服務，這對商務客來說，不太友善。床蠻好睡的，大床房感覺是拿兩個單人床去拼，怎麼滾都沒問題。

离世纪汇很近，交通方便，去陆家嘴办事也很方便

朝食やスタッフのサービスには満足しました。唯一残念だったのは、風呂にカビがあったことです。それ以外は大満足でした。

チェックイン時にフロントで予約がないと言われた。解決まで30分以上かかり、精神的・肉体的に非常に疲れた。その後の日程に影響があった。また、予約確認の為に、わざわざ中国から日本へ国際電話を掛けねばならず、費用がかかった。私に落ち度がなかったのに。

残念だったポイント ①最初に案内された部屋の貴重品入れが作動せず、修理を依頼し完了したがすぐに作動しなくなり、一度目の部屋替えを行った。 ②次に通された部屋は、クローゼット前と浴室を仕切るスライディングドアが外れてトイレが使えず、二度目の部屋替えを行った。③かつ、プールが子供だらけで、大人が普通に泳げるレーンを用意していないため、辟易した。 私は、ホリディインの大ファンではあるが、上海浦東は絶対に使いたくない。
