Great hotel.

Very good

Quite Good, Peaceful, Quiet, and Efficient.

Smooth, comfortable stay. The rooms were a bit dark and the bed a little uncomfortable. But, it is typical for hotels of this class as was the buffet breakfast. Overall, an enjoyable experience. I would stay here again.

Very friendly staff.

People working there gave us excellent attention.

room is very comfortable, big and clean. Service was also good and staff was helpful. Breakfast was also great and there was a seperate area for IHG members. Only thing about the hotel is that it is far from any shopping malls and no subway nearby. Have to take cab everywhere. Nearest food place is 15minutes walk away nearer to Holiday Day Inn express hotel.

Too far from NECC

I was attending a trade show at the NECC and there was a free shuttle service in the morning but not in the evening. Plus found out better hotels at walking distance to NECC at same price so will not stay again

The staff has very little communication skill . Language was the biggest problem . Amex cars does not work in this property . It’s in the middle of no where . Will never go back to this property .

Stayed at these hotel because I was attending an expo at the NECC, which is very close and convenient. But, if you are interested in downtown and central Shanghai this is not for you.

Overall Bad Experience !

My welcome and checking was disastrous. The Reception desk staff do not speak english well and reception manager was rude to me and even raised his voice. The worse welcome I have ever had ! Room Service was ok but each time I needed to speak to 3-4 people before placing an order. The Concierges ( I met 2) were great ! at breakfast it is difficult to order simple things like scrambled eggs as the cooks do not understand english. My stay was a bit stressful due to the language barrier and bad service on the 1st day at check in. When I called the reception desk on my last day to order breakfast in my room, for about 35minutes , the reception staff kept on hanging up the phone in my ear as they did not understand me. The Duty Manager on the day of my check out was helpful and gave us free breakfast. The room temperature in our room was 26degrees one day. We were sweating. I asked for someone to check it but was told to open my windows and was sent a fan ! If you do not speak Chinese, I do not recommend this hotel !

Nice hotel but not easily accessible by public transport. Internet speed was miserable.

Clean and comfortable hotel

Clean and comfortable hotel, though the location is not in midst of shopping amenities. Nice indoor heated swimming pool and the gym is well equipped too. It’s worth mention that the Chinese restaurant on level 2 serves nice Cantonese dishes.

Good hotel in a busy part of Shanghai

Went to see the most popular sights of Shanghai, very impressive. They clearly need to do something about the pollution which seems to cover at least a 50 mile radius of Shanghai

Business trip for Shanghai

the hotel is very nice, bed also very comfy, but room service (food) is horrible, I ordered some noodles and soup, and both were extremely salty, not China salty, but they drop a can of salt kind of salty. service are good, location is ok. close to exhibition center.

Overall the hotel was fine, but pest problem

We were there for a trade show and I was allocated on the 9th floor and some of my colleagues were on the 7th floor, one of my colleagues change room immediately after stepped into the room as he saw a mice in the room which have happened to another colleague of mine as well who stayed on the same floor. All of them then changed room to another floor but just couldn't believe it happened in a four star Holiday Inn. They should have a better pest control ??? Besides that it was a reasonable stay with helpful staff and services.

Good value if you need to be in this part of town

It's out in the suburbs - beyond the metro - so probably only a place to stay if you need to be in this neighbourhood (I did). Fairly new, and good quality for the price. Although my booking through Expedia didn't entitle me to IHG Club privileges, at check-in the staff upgraded me anyway. The room was above normal Holiday Inn standards. The next day, there was fruit selection in my room, which apparently is for Platinum members - I am nowhere near Platinum, so this was another added bonus.

We were there for a family wedding.

Great location for access to Shanghai Convention

This hotel is perfect if you are in Shanghai for the convention center. They offered shuttle service to and fro. The hotel is very nice with good breakfast option and a decent gym.

A good choice close to the NECC expo centre SH

I was on the 10th floor and I loved the big windows to sit and drink my tea and watch the people coming and going in the nearby intersection.

Awesome stay ,Hotel was great,very well managed and organised Neighbourhood situation was not good, but we were there for business... For the international exhibition we attended it was excellent All by taxi ,no metro or bus service available Will stay again for sure here

A pleasant stay

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Shanghai West for 4 nights. Check-in was a tad time consuming, but I found my room spacious, clean, and quiet. The restaurants, gym, and other hotel services were very good as well.

Stayed for business twice in April and May...Very comfortable and friendly hotel. Try and get a room with a dedicated shower.

Hotel is well decorated, room is large and clean. The staff were friendly. Check-in and out was a breeze. The negative is about the neighborhood. There is nothing around. The hotel does offer a free shuttle to take you to subway station or other restaurants and stores nearby.

Bes t ever

I was so impressed with this hotel and its staff that I wrote a two-page letter of appreciation to the Manager. EVERYONE...from the door men, the receptionist, the waiters in the restaurant, were most hospitable and consistently so. I had internet problems and upon reporting the to the receptionist, she sent an IT specialist to my room when I returned from my working day. I give this hotel staff top marks and the best I have experienced in the seven hotels I have stayed in in china.

Comfortable and yummy

There isn't much around here, and the taxis don't want to go there from downtown Shanghai without cajoling, but it was a lovely sleep and great breakfast.

Good business hotel

Hotel room is very comfortable and kept very clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. A bit far however from good restaurant outside of hotel.

Very nice but too far from city center

The hotel is very clean and the room is spacious. However, the hotel is about 10 minutes shuttle ride to the Metro station. It is not very convenient since the shuttle schedule is limited. We had to take a taxi from the Metro station back to the hotel at around 9:30 pm because the area around the Metro station doesn't appear to be safe and we didn't want to wait 20 minutes for the shuttle bus.

NICE HOTEL, GOOD FACILITIES

１階のフロアーは、朝食会場も含め暖房されていなかった。事情はあると思うが、朝食会場だけでも暖かくしてあればよいと感じた。 また初日に室内スリッパがなかったが、2日目には補充されていた。 両替ができると良かった。

旁邊有全家便利店，走到對面再往前走一段，有很多餐廳，再往前走還有購物中心 往酒店後面走一段也有很多小餐廳

정말 저렴하고 수영장 물 따뜻해서 아이들과 함께 하기 좋아요.

호텔자체로는 저렴하게 잘 지냈어요.수영장은 작은편인데 물이 따뜻해서 아이들과 이용 편해요. 식당음식도 괜찮았습니다. 전 개인적으로 만족했어요. 아이들 추가비용 없었어요. 하지만 식당이 오픈되어 있다보니 추워요. 외투를 입고 밥을 먹었어요.주변은 관광지가 없어 버스 타고 치바오가서 볼링 치고 오후엔 다시 호텔와서 수영하고 왔어요. 직원들이 친절했지만 영어는 능숙한 편이 아니예요.하지만 서비스는 괜찮아요.. 영어 잘한다고 좋은 호텔아니고, 서비스 좋은거 아니쟎아요.. 전 만족했습니다.

NECC로 택시로 약 5분거리에 있으며, 객실이 깨끗하고 조용합니다. 다만 주변에 편의시설이 없어 불편합니다.
