Breakfast was excellent!
All the staff are very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble.
Rude staff. Couldn’t get clean towels much less a cleaned room. Brigitte at the front desk is ludicrously awful and the manager Joe is utterly inattentive. Don’t stay here.
Goid location
Very convenient for tube station and getting to West End and other places. Breakfast buffet was lovely a good range of options. Third bed in room was good size and had good matress. Only 12 minutes walk from St Pancreas Train Station too.
We enjoyed our stay of 4 days. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The hotel is in a nice location, walkable to main London attractions and with great access to both the Underground and St. Pancras station. The area has many colleges and feels young and safe. Lots of dining options. Our room was fine for 3 people with sufficient electrical outlets but lacked a refrigerator which was disappointing. The bathroom was exceptionally small, almost like a cruise ship bathroom, but everything functioned and we made due.
The air conditioner unit did not work.
Breakfast selections were great. Staff are great. Property needs upgrading though.
Good location
Good location but room was a little tired decoratively
Good location and lots of dinining options closeby. Property is dated and is really showing its age. Needs of a refresh
Great stay in a fantastic location for the tube and also for the sights etc. nice hotel for families.
Power and water were out for a full day. No flushing of toilets Unable to take showers. Hear did not work while dressing temperatures outside
I Like What Child Bad is small and old Hotel but is Good The workers are very nice
Spacious room for me and my family.
Mostly great but noisy outdoor aircon units
I enjoyed staying at this hotel, great breakfast and lgood location, but not after wasting my time and sleep asking to change rooms because the inner outdoor space is full of noisy air conditioning units. Especially if the bed is near the window, it's noisy enough to stop me getting back to sleep. Even the outer rooms facing the road have nearby aircon units, but at least a bit quieter. There was no noise from the aircon inside the rooms. I don't know what you can do except to replace the machines with quieter ones or improve the window sound insulation.
Hotel ok Skip breakfast Especially the eggs
Did not have a good overall Experience (beds, toiletries, food, wrong charges in my credit Card)
Excellent
I have no complaints other than joe warm it was I couldn’t get the air con to work and although the bed was very comfortable I hardly slept as it was so stuffy no sir at all
Nice weekend break
Nice place for the weekend great location friendly staff
Really friendly approachable staff. Great breakfast. Comfortable bed and everything we needed in the room.
Rooms are small. Not much area to walk about. Adequate for one night stay. Clean. Friendly staff.
Great location DATED rooms
Great location poor room quality although it was clean it was dated
Good
I have mobility problems and use a mobility scooter, all the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was lovely and all the staff were very helpful, I would especially like to mention Ida, who was so genuine and kind.
Very convenient location
Easy walk from tube station approx 2 minutes. Nice little shopping centre in Bloomsbury with cafes, restaurants.
Good hotel.
Decent hotel, a bit pricey I would say but by London standards I guess it’s on the lighter side. Its walking distance (within 30 minutes walk) from West End Theatres and from China Town. Kings Cross is about 15 minutes walk though would recommend taxi if travelling with luggage. Even though it said kids have free breakfast when having with adults at the time of booking, there’s a cut off of 13 years which was not made clear at the time of booking online. So we had to pay £16.50 per day for our 14 year old which I found was too costly and disappointing due to not being made aware. If I knew before, I would not have booked breakfast at all as there are many breakfast places near by which would be cheaper for breakfast. Overall, good hotel, we have stayed here before and likely to stay again.
Comfortable happy stay
Very comfortable and relaxed hotel. Feels calm and welcoming.
Excellent location. Super clean rooms! Literally the cleanest hotel ever. Special thanks to Sez from the reception. He is absolutely amazing!
Well located to the tube station.
Good short stay
I was really impressed with the room and hotel in general. Breakfast was a good choice and well cooked, the team members are charming and the room and hotel were all clean. Thank you.
Excellent -- great location
I've stayed here a number of times. Always excellent. Staff are extra helpful, rooms comfortable and very clean, breakfast very good. Location is perfect for central London.
Decent room, comfy beds, staff fantastic, cant do enough for you. Hotel very nice inside. 2mins from Russel Sq tube station. A lovely stay, thankyou.
Service was generally poor. Staff not very helpful in assisting needs.
Very comfortable
Very comfortable stay in an executive room for a family with one adult and two children. Fantastic location and lovely staff who are very helpful within the confines of the rules of the business.
Very much enjoyed staying here for the UK Tarot Conference. The staff was excellent.
Excellent daily breakfast is included. Also, location can’t be beat. Only a few minute walk to Russell Square Tube Station, Pret coffee shop and Tesco Express. Friendly staff!
Good but not quite great.
Very clean and comfortable, but no mini-fridge (needed for medications). Just a double bed. Good restaurant, but limited menu.
Well organised, clean and quiet. Tube close by!
Wish the breakfast was free otherwise would stay there again.
Bloomsbury
We were very confortable there, just the space for 3 was small
This hotel was well located for our visit and the room clean and comfortable. Check in at midday would have been ideal ! Understand this wasn’t possible
It was good!!
Quiet and comfortable beds. Overall it was clean but found someone else’s sock under 1 bed. Only downside for us was the lack of outlets near the beds for CPAP machine and for charging phones/watches. We move beds around to it work though. Overall a decent property though and staff are great!
Good location for access but not particularly well sound proofed. Staff were lovely, room clean. Mattress was way too soft for me
Good Hotel for Eurostar access
We booked 1 night intransit from Lindon to France. The hotel was good, no real issues. However, our family of 4 is pretty big, I am 6'1" and the shortest is 5'7". The beds are a little small for us as they are doubles, not queens. On the positive side, it is 1/2 block from the tube station and if you wanted to, a 10 minute walk to the Kings Cross & St. Pancras stations. There is a 24 hour mini-mart on the corner and the neighbourhood is lively.
Pleasant staff and clean room. Area not nice, bins overflowing, staff outside the back doors, smoking. Hotel badly in need of a refurbishment. Bathroom clean, but sink cracked, toilet seat broken. Furniture in bedroom chipped, stained and damaged. TV didn’t work. Very fortunate that the staff were nice and the room was clean, otherwise it would only be one ⭐️.
Great service at check in. Clean spacious room and well equipped
It is unusual that is no fridge in standard room in a 3-star hotel. I would probably upgrade to premium room if it was obvious in booking
Kc
Water remaining in the bath when you take shower
Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Great location
The hotel is very convenient. Close proximity and walking distance to a lot of tourist attractions.
Average Holiday Inn
This Holiday Inn was very average, but at a premium price. We experienced complications with the purchased breakfast for all guests as Hotels.com and Holiday Inn define "child" differently and this resulted in the hotel adding additional charges. I was very disappointed that the hotel didn't handle this differently, as I completed all fields and indicated the age of the child (14 years) at the time of booking. My niece most certainly did not eat £20 worth of food for breakfast.
Location is good. 3 minites walk to metro station. Free Transit to airport is not provided by hotel. Can call Uber but quite expensive. Breakfast was really good.
Convenient location near Russel square underground station, direct line to Heathrow airport. 30 minutes walk to the center of London.
Very nice hotel Great location to attractions and restaurants
Tired and cramped!
From the photos, some rooms may have been renovated but the room we stayed in was old fashioned, tired, with poor lighting! The bed felt like a small double but despite this, the room was so cramped! No USB points, the coffee was disgusting and the selection on the hospitaliy tray was basic. The toiletries were lovely but dispensor bottles hardly worked and the shower gel felt watered down. Linen was crisp and laundered well and the room felt well cleaned.
The staff at this hotel make the difference! Morning and evening staff at reception are friendly and eager to help with questions. Chamber maids quickly respond to requests. Don’t miss the morning breakfast! Location is convenient with only a short walk to Russell Square Station. I have stayed here twice and will be back in October. It’s easy to be loyal to this property!
Bloomsbury is within a block of the Russell Square tube and was clean and well worth upgrading to a executive room. An incredible breakfast was included and a great way to start off the day of touring. All the staff beginning with check in, bar, housekeeping and concierge went out of their way to make our week enjoyable!
The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was amazing and great choices to suit everyone needs.. would highly recommend this hotel if your staying in London.
Breakfast was good room was perfect
Friendly and welcoming
Really nice hotel, especially if you like a quiet hotel, as in the 3 nights we stayed didnt hear any noise from other guests or from outside. Clean, well maintained, all the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Bedbug city
My son and wife were severely bitten by bed bugs at this hotel
Staff excellent, really good value
Very lovely hotel
Nice stay good location
Nice stay at the holiday inn Bloomsbury Rooms are a bit tired Overall clean and tidy great service good breakfast Excellent food in restaurant great service amazing food at good value
Great stay. The gent working behind the bar Friday evening went above and beyond for us. What a lovely guy, we couldn’t be more grateful to him at a difficult time. He was fantastic. Thank you
Great Location
Room is small, bed uncomfortable. Booked rooms with breakfast but when I checked in I was told breakfast is additional
Great hotel in a great location. Near a metro line that takes you to great attractions.
While the staff doing a good job maintaining the facility, it truly is asking for a renovation in every way possible. Ramon’s was outstanding!
Perfect location, friendly staff, lovely outdoor sitting areas, heart of the city and walking distance to most of the interesting places, esp Bloomsbury
Very nice
Always a good safe option . 15mins walk from King’s Cross or Euston stations . Nice area and good options for food nearby. 20 mins walk to theatre area etc… 5 mins to British museum.
My wife and I stayed at the hotel with our son who has disabilities and the service we received from every single person was nothing short of exceptional! Whoever manages this Holiday Inn has put together an amazing team. Thank you.
I enjoyed my stay, it was pleasant at this Holiday Inn, Bloomsbury. It's located in walking distance to many great sights i.e. Oxford Street, Harry Potter shop at King's Cross and the British Museum. Parking was made easy using www.yourparkingspace.co.uk. The area around the hotel is great to explore with shops and cafes. I highly recommend it.
Disappointing stay
Good location with easy underground access. However, that was the only positive feature. Staff were helpful. Besides that, room was tiny (for a family room, there was no space to open our suitcase) . Way overpriced for overall condition and amenities. Having stayed in 5 different hotels during our UK trip, this would be the only hotel we wouldn’t go back to or recommend.
Check In
Overall good experience
Easy access to Russel Square Station (one stop from Kings Cross/Saint Pancras/ Eurostar).
We got a great deal on this hotel and it was great for our family. Hotel location allowed us to access the Underground easily and we were able to walk to a lot of great places as well.
Good location friendly staff breakfast was great. Everything we needed was there
Poor internet connection No outlets around the bed: to use my cPAP I had to request an extension cord attached to the opposite wall (and make sure nobody would trip on the cord) The toilet flush barely works The TV remote cannot be used without having the volume all the way up. I would never ever go back to an hotel of this chain.
Perfect budget hotel Clean Excellent breakfast Staff VERY helpful & friendly
The location of the hotel is well suited for our purpose. Near the Euston Station as we arrived by train from Glasgow. The hotel is a easy 10 - 15 minutes walk. The ground floor and lobby is clean and in good shape. But, the floors in our room was not clean and my white socks tells me it has not been steam cleaned for a while. The cabinets are worn out. The fridge was remove leaving a big gapping hole in the cabinet. The staff at breakfast was very helpful and friendly. I would not rate this property as a four star hotel.
Very close to the tube
Good
Not bad. Pillows are not good. We requested a transfer to a better room because on the 6th floor the water pressure is weak. They transferred us with no issues.
lovely place to stay
The place is a great location and really nice and clean rooms. The people at the front desk were so kind and helpful, especially Zalika.
Great hotel near all main train stations restaurants. Friendly staff. Beds were comfortable and room was clean.
Good.
Great location near the subway station. Very good breakfast.
The staff was helpful and friendly. Very close to the tube and bus lines.
Great location: proximity to King's Cross, Russel Sq Station, and the West End.
Good stay however we had 2 breakfasts included and the hotel only told us that one we could have , as the kids were under 18 , if u paid for 2 , I think I should have got 2
Love the place. It’s close to the train station and a lot of dining options.
Great location. Quiet
Bad experience
After check-in, we arrived at our room and realized that the air conditioner didn’t work. We quickly called down to the front desk and they said maintenance would come check on it, which they did. Never heard back within the 30 minutes the maintenance workers said we would, so we called again. Another worker came up and said she would let us know. 30 minutes later, we called back and were told it can’t be fixed and no extra rooms. Not ideal when traveling with little kids. After returning to the hotel, we spoke to new front desk workers and they didn’t know about our problem and they do have 2 separate rooms available (accommodate 4 total). We took those. Horrible communication at this hotel. Rooms outdated, dirty, carpet is old. The fresh paint doesn’t matter.

Well-located and reasonable value for money, but the property is rather tired, and a few small improvements would have made a big difference to the level of comfort - eg no bedside table or shelf on one side of the bed, lack of pegs and rails for coats/towels.
