There was hair in all our bath towels and I’m the shower.

The room was not cleaned daily, This was first time I’ve heard that I would have to request to have the room cleaned. I have stayed at other Hotels and never had I had to request to have the room cleaned and restocked . This was bad service.

There is no parking. I called before booking and the agent told me that there are only 8 parking spots. I showed up early only to find out those had to be pre reserved. Luckily there is a parking lot behind the hotel but it is a bit of a walk I would not recommend in the dark. Our room was clean and staff was nice parking just stunk. River walk is only a 5 min walk from the hotel.

Very inconvenient baggage drop off and pickup, parking a block away. Breakfast was good

We enjoyed it. It was an extended weekend trip and we loved the area. Was so close to everything. The only thing I had an issue with was we asked for a king size bed and they gave us two queens. It was a great trip. Breakfast was on point but the parking off site was kinda a pain but will def stay again

Someone had thrown up in the elevator. It was left there overnight and was not cleaned for close to 24 hours.

Visited SATX for the first time and stayed here. it’s pretty solid when it comes to overall value and if you’re on a budget, nothing spectacular but it has everything you need. The place is very clean. Staff is very welcoming and helpful Free breakfast in the morning 10 min walk from the river walk, tons of restaurants around

Nice hotel, nice staff, good location to walk to market square and river walk areas. Cool history as well. Used to be a prison back about 100(+) years ago.

The beds were great. It was clean, but peeling paint and vacuum cords left in the hallway. My mom is 86 and we had no place to load and unload her and our stuff. Main problem was parking.

The fact that they have no nearby parking was very annoying.

Good stay

Close to River Walk and lots of restaurants. Area seemed safe, lots of police activity. Rooms are a little dated, but clean. Bed could be a little more comfortable, but all in all it was a good stay

1st room was 23 degrees heater wouldn't turn on and they transferred us to another room bathroom shower had pink mildew before it turns black and some black mildew aswell

old Holiday Inn Hotel

Parking off site, around the corner, behind a Dominos pizza. Breakfast was good, the hotel is historic, room are updated, the sofa bed in our room was in bad shape, hard to sit on it and has holes in the fabric.

The stay was okay. I was not happy with the service. I told the check in lady I needed a split bill (in half) and the lady said no problem...but it can only be done at the end. I check out on Saturday and said I need the bill split in half and the check out lady said, it was not possible and can only be done at the beginning and there was nothing that be done to fix the situation and that my card has already been billed for the full amount. She continued to tell me now worries...the manager can fix it and send me a receipt on Monday. I called Monday and was told the managers told the staff to tell anyone with questions about splitting the bill that there is nothing that can be done. I continue to ask to speak with the manager and the lady said the manager was busy and might not call me back and that the manager will tell me the same thing about not being able to fix the problem. I am very disappointed and upset about the staff not knowing the correct procedures and then the management not taking ownership of the staff's mistake and making the situation correct.

Very accommodating staff

This was a really cool stay! We didn’t know before booking that this is a historic building, the former Brevard County jail. They say it’s haunted although we didn’t experience anything like that. The staff was wonderful, it was clean, and breakfast was decent. Also the location is ideal, within walking distance of the riverwalk, Alamo, and most other sights in San Antonio.

Our only complaint is that we stay for 3 nights and we needed to ask to have our room cleaned. I expected to have them make our beds and freshen up the bathroom. Other than that the location was convenient for walks to the downtown and river walk.

Clean and affordable. The AC leaks and creates a big wet spot on the carpet and you cant turn it off so its blowing 60 degree air directly at you all night. Parking is 15 dollars on site or 10 if you want to walk around the block to get in. Overall pretty good

Look to stay elsewhere.

Granted the building is very, very old but with its history you'd think an attempt to preserve the building could be made for future generations to explore and learn about San Antonios growth and evolving change. Overall I would not return nor recommend this hotel. It was a disappointment for the price I paid as there is no parking and the hotel does not live up to the Holiday Inn brand name.

Love that is close to everything, i went to a concert and I didn’t have to drive.

The rooms were nice. However, parking on site was a nightmare. There were only a handful of spaces for the entire hotel and it was narrow to where you could only back out. Plus if you leave someone Will take your spot

No big whoop. Needed a place to sleep. It was across the street to where I was working. Room was nice and spacious.

Terrible views of rooftops from the room .. elevator and rooms far apart. They charged $15.00 for hotelparking which is not shown on the website when booking the room. Would never stay there again.

Parking nightmare

This hotel is older so definitely needs an update. The room was small but sufficient and clean. There was cleaning service everyday, the bed wasn’t that hard and pillows were soft. Breakfast was hotel-mediocre. The biggest issue I had was parking. There are 8 spaces in the side of the building for 15 a night. If you don’t get one of those you have to pay 10 dollars for parking behind the building and it’s not a garage so it was just open for everyone to just walk through and break in if they wanted to. This was not cool. There are a lot of homeless and just people in general walking around and I didn’t feel comfortable leaving my car there. Nothing happened but it was not great. I don’t think I would stay there again mainly because of the parking situation.

Only thing that was not correct from the reservation made on Expedia, was the parking situation! Said parking on premises, but it was actually very limited parking at hotel and there was a charge for parking on or off site.

It was convenient to downtown where we spent most of our time in San Antonio

I didn't get to stay, for my work got cancelled because of inclement weather and I had to return home before I was stuck in SA. They could have given me a refund but it wasn't to be. That sucks, no work and paying for a room I didn't stay in.

The hotel is basically in an alley way. Parking is a block away from the property. The building was dirty inside and out. Our shower curtain smelled like urine. The front desk lady was terribly rude and not helpful at all.

Older building, excellent restoration. inadequate space for loading and unloading.

Great central location and wonderful facility

Room Clean and convenient to walking to Riverwalk only 5 minutes.

There’s no parking at the hotel. They do give you a pass for the parking garage about a block away.

Very comfy beds and pillows, although the facilities are dated, worn out, and some spots could use a little extra cleaning, the hotel is in a convenient location, walkable distance to the Riverwalk and downtown. Parking is a little bit of a hassle upon check in, but then they give you an entry card, fee is $10 per night.

Room can use some remodeling. The breakfast area need to be space out

The property is an old jail which was pretty interesting. The parking at the actual property was a little narrow but the parking lot around the corner was much better and I felt safe parking my car there. You need a keycard to enter and exit. The free breakfast in the morning was amazing. TV worked, bed was very comfortable, ice machine worked. It was a lovely stay and I would definitely stay again.

Pay by my self parking, they had no batches for parking. Lobby for breakfast to little so we had standup breakfast. Personnel at the front desk it seams was having a bad day, she was rude.

Nice location for a visit to San Antonio. Room was basic but clean and convenient for a couple. Dining area was pretty crowded for the size of Hotel. Parking was not at the hotel but close and fairly convenient.

Upon arrival, the staff was very friendly. Check-in was smooth. The room was decent. Floor was sticky for some reason, but I must say, the room was quiet, and very clean bathroom. Beds were so comfy. Stayed two nights. Close to good restaurants. Breakfast buffet wasn’t bad honestly. The on-site and off-site parking is horrible though. The on-site parking is super difficult to squeeze into. Getting out requires one to back up with very limited space. Off-site parking garage is a little better, but we were stuck behind the gate for nearly 30 minutes, trying all sorts of badges, eventually calling security, and customer support for the garage - ugh what a pain.

I had a very satisfying stay at the Holiday Inn! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making my stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing and hassle-free experience.

It was very beautiful. it had a bit of spookyness to it but it was a wonderful stay and view. Enjoyed our stay very much. There is much sight seeing around and dinning options.

Overall, our stay was fine. The parking fur handicap guests is unacceptable in my opinion. There is only 1 spot available at this property. I was also disappointed by the view from our room..

Where do I begin? I booked this location because of the "good reviews" it had. I feel, either the reviews were made up or clearly we were given a horrible room. The room at a glance looked decent when we walked in. We left our bags and walked to the river walk. On our return we were exhausted from a long trip and from walking to get dinner. We chose to walk because the parking in this location wasn't the greatest and there was only one handicap spot. So, upon laying down we noticed that the floor was soaking wet. The ac was hanging from the wall and it was dripping water. One of the closet doors was wonky. We called front desk and let them know. The receptionist of course said there were no rooms available. She called back later said they had a room but by this point my older mom was already asleep. When we woke up we were covered in bed bug bites!!!!!!! My toddler, mom, older son, and myself have bites all over our hands, back, and neck. This seems to be a norm with holiday inn express hotels and I will never stay or recommend again.

Location was great/

It was advertised $10/night parking. I chose the hotel specifically for this. Got to the hotel, no parking. A parking lot was around a few buildings a block away and cost $5/hr to park there. I went with my newborn. It was very very inconvenient/unsafe and was falsely advertised.

We went to San Antonio for the first time.The hotel is in a very good location. The room is large and everything is convenient. Breakfast was good and there was a wide choice. The price for the hotel was reasonable.

Unfortunately this property while the structure is on the national register of historic buildings, is extremely run down not very accessible to the patrons.and the the parking is very inconvenient. Handicap patrons should probably avoid this hotel as it is not very accessible.

Loved the hospitality but wish they had onsite parking. That was an extra cost for overnight stay. Keep that in mind if you’re staying a few nights. Breakfast was great.

The staff was amazing including the hotel housekeeper. When we got back to our room. They put all my kids stuff animals on the bed and the kids loved it. That made our stay feel more special. This will definitely be our hotel for our next stay. Thank you to all your wonderful staff!!!

Pretty nice rooms and delicious breakfast every morning on the dot

Almost got towed because of a misunderstanding with the front desk without being contacted at all. Then kept getting questioned on my age when i had shown my id at check in.

EXPEDIA should include if hotels have parking lot on the property. This hotel didnt have a parking lot, so we had to walk 2-3 blocks.

Staff was rude! Service was good one day the terrible the next! Breakfast was Great one day, then the next they said stuff had broken down in the kitchen. Very inconsistent!

This property is at the end of the Riverwalk, very close proximity to everything (close walking distance). The staff is extremely nice and helpful, parking through this hotel is $10 a day (must get parking pass from front desk).
