Nice place to stay
For the money, is a great and convenient spot.
Very nice, staff was incredibly nice and helpful!!! Definitely recommend!!
Very professional.
Had a great time
Cozy place
Great location for NYC sightseeing. Full breakfast . The staff is very friendly.
Excellent Customer Service from all personnel from front desk, housekeeping, the man assisting the guests to carry luggage in the room, etc. Room is clean. Bathroom is clean. Bed is comfortable and neat. Room smell good. AC / Heater is working well. Free Breakfast Buffet is in an hour. Lobby is comfortable to stay while waiting for the room.
New York is a busy place and being so close to so much is possible here. What makes NY great? people like Touria at check-in and Anna and the breakfast crew (delicious eggs and amazing pork sausages). Thank you
Good 👍
I did like the location but i do wish the elevators were bigger or they had more of them for the amount of people staying there is crazy they also don’t tell you in advance the $225 hold on your card in case anything happens in the room and absolutely no refrigeration system anywhere in the room but overall was great trip in NYC just won’t be staying at this specific hotel again!
Close to the attraction areas and restaurants
The staff went above and beyond to accommodate and assist. The location is ideal for attending shows and sightseeing. Couldn’t recommend it enough especially with such affordable rates!
Holiday Inn Express - perfect!
Great stay, good breakfast. Welcoming staff throughout, at breakfast and reception.
I loved the location.
Excellent
Clean , safe ,amenities in the room . Overall comfortable experience
The Hotel is nice and the staff too, unfortunately the room was not so clean and the toilet clogged.
Very accesible to times square, its clean safe and free breakfast.
I liked that I was warmly invited. My key didn’t work , but staff activated it immediately. I like that the hotel was walking distance to 42th station on the subway. You could board the 7 train to get to LaGuardia Airport. Also, you could walk to Pier 81, 83 to catch the Circle line cruises and the Intrpid museum. After our Broadway show, the Hard Rock had the most delicious hamburger.❤️
It was a great experience with my gf
Our stay was great. However the rooms were extremely Small and the beds were a bit uncomfortable That is the reason for one less star. Staff was quick responses and very polite. We will be back.
Was perfect for what I needed. Nothing fancy but room clean , staff friendly and helpful
It’s ok. Key card always broken, only 2 elevators which is a hassle on rush hour.
Great staff and service. No fridge was a big problem. Couldn’t bring leftovers from dining out. Elevators also not the greatest.
Michelle (Front desk Manager) treated us like family, the staff at the hotel were commendable. Thank you for all that you have done.
Location lots of options to eat
Staff are not always friendly. There is a big problem with the elevators and the rooms are too small.. Not confortable. Other than that the breakfast was good and the staff in the room for breakfast were very very kind.
There wasn’t no hot water
Buen servicio muy limpio
Best location and excellent costumer service
Good staff
Good location reasonable rates. Elevator broke and we were on 20th floor, inconvenient but staff were trying to get someone to come and fix it and you could see how much effort they put in to try to remedy the problem
I have photos of how dirty our room was. Stained floor, curtains were dirty, bathtub was dirty, and we were awoken at 9:45am by housekeeping for "check out” Check out is 11am. We were told when we arrived after reserving a room that we had to pay an extra fee for the area we were in. This wasn’t explained when we reserved the room. We will not be staying here in the future
I was skeptical about this hotel based on the reviews I had read but I’m glad I didn’t go off of the reviews. There are not any homeless sitting outside of the hotels. The room space is what I expected bc NY is built up not side ways so space is minimal. Time Square is about 2-3 blocks away which was perfect walking distance.
This property was wonderful for our vacation. We knew it was a budget hotel, and it exceeded our expectations. We picked up breakfast and coffee before 8am each day and it was manageable. Elevators were ok as long as guidelines are followed (only 6). We rarely had issues with elevator being slow even staying on 24th floor. Beds and pillows were comfortable. We could tell some things in the room were dated, but it didn’t bother us as we were only there for our place to rest at night and get ready for our day. Room was cleaned each day and had no issues with things being bothered. I enjoyed having a lock box for valuables. We had a late flight on our last day, and Tulia (sp?) was very accommodating to give us a complimentary extra hour late check out. They also held our bags while we enjoyed a few more places in the city before catching our ride to the airport. Overall we had an amazing trip and loved this easy walk to attractions and subways for further attractions! I would stay here again.
Expedia is at NO FAULT they were very generous with me The main terribly bad setback i got was from the hotel Holiday Inn express -I booked a king size bed got a queen size bed -Totally different from pictures -terribly bad maintenance -Rusted coffee makers -Very rude front desk -No heating in washrooms like ice cold washrooms -Dirty linen The only saviour was there breakfast thats it Wish i could upload pics too

Accessibility
Nice hotel.
Total 150 rooms in 26 floors with only TWO elevators, and each elevator can only take 6 people, not good.
Breakfast was good even though was a busy time, staff friendly and service was good.
Good
The only highlight of my stay at this hotel was the friendly staff, who promptly addressed all the issues that arose. Additionally, the location is excellent—everything is within walking distance, which is fantastic for tourists. However, the hotel itself appears to be in disrepair. The bathtub was broken, scratched, and old, and the restrooms were cramped and worn out. In fact, you wouldn't even find such dilapidated facilities in a horror movie, especially at the reception area. The rooms are overpriced for their size, and the dining area is so small that guests are practically seated on top of one another. While breakfast was included, the food and coffee were disappointing; the coffee resembled transparent black tea, prompting me to seek out a nearby café each morning. With rates nearing $1600 per person, I expected more. I also paid extra for a higher room with a city view, but it was not worth it—just a glimpse of the surrounding rooftops. Overall, while I appreciated the hard work and dedication of the staff and the convenient location, the conditions left much to be desired. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.
Need to work on updating the elevators. Took way too much time waiting for the elevators.

Pathetic Hotel
I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Manhattan, New York, and my experience was nothing short of disappointing. The staff, particularly Touvia and Shiante, displayed extremely unprofessional behavior. They were rude, lacked basic customer service skills, and left us feeling unwelcome. On a positive note, Mr. William stood out as professional and helpful, which was a small consolation amidst the otherwise poor service. The condition of the room was appalling. It was dirty and poorly maintained, with no trash bag provided in the waste bin. Additionally, the sink in the bathroom was leaking and clogged, making it difficult to use. These issues made our stay uncomfortable and raised concerns about the overall hygiene of the property. The lack of basic amenities was another major disappointment. There was no microwave oven in the room, and the refrigerator they eventually provided after multiple requests was out of order. For a hotel in this price range, such shortcomings are unacceptable. The breakfast area was equally disappointing, as it was poorly maintained and unhygienic. This added to the frustration of an already unpleasant stay. Considering we paid $1,169.00 for just two nights, the experience was far below expectations and not worth the cost. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The lack of professionalism, cleanliness, and basic amenities makes it hard to recommend this hotel to anyone. I strongly suggest looking for other opti
Small rooms, roaches on the wall at breakfast. Yuck.
.
excellent service, location. Great customer service
Convenient
Nice place. Close to everything
Everyone was very helpful especially the staff guy during breakfast
Excelent price,evreting was great.
It was just what we needed for our stay!
Clean
The staff are so helpful and kind.
Wonderful location
Staff not very helpful. Room was not available/gave away. Forget about trying to get any sort of breakfast no room overcrowded. Could take up to 10 minutes just to be able to get on/off the elevator.
Excellent location and friendly staff. Thanks.
The property was clean, the staff service was outstanding but the elevator is a nightmare. The staff is overworked. There is no coffee all the time available, it is New York specifically winter time. The street outside once it gets dark it is not safe, many homeless and the hotel does not have a security person on the property. Thank you to the staff all of them were awesome.
Good stay!
This place had 1 working elevator and it’s 34 floors in the Hotel. Our bathroom shower was dirty when we checked in. This place also does not sell water but they give away like 6 bottles a day at the front desk but I think the homeless people get most of those. In front of the hotel is always a different group of homeless people who are doing drugs and one of the homeless guys one during our stay didn’t have any pants on and was walking around in front of the hotel
The staff was the best ever! They were kind and attentive. Room service was good. Everything was clean every day with clean towels. The breakfasts were really good. The facilities is old and needs a kind of room renovation and new furniture but if you just need a place to sleep like us and visit NYC by walking and using the train is perfect because of the location.
Great location, staff etc but it needs updating and was very expensive for what it was.
We loved our stay! The only downfall was the elevator took forever, because it was the only one in the building.
Excellent check in and accommodated for early check in as well as late check out. Provided water and some snacks during the day as well as a decent breakfast. Would absolutely stay again.
Best water pressure on 39th, elevator wait was reasonable. Lobby has a very poor layout. Front desk staff were great, but did not get back to my inquiries until day of travel, and then wanted to know “ how are you doing” ? By text message. Breakfast was a huge let down, I do not eat flour or sausage, so fruit and eggs it was. A veggie omelet would be nice… Is due for a renovation, the plywood armoire in the room was dated and unnecessary- a 1ft hanging rail would suffice. The area is in a dark section of 39th. The homeless and unwanted seem to collect by the construction sites at night- very unsettling. Watched a large brawl break out on the street. Be careful.
The property is in need of a serious upgrade. It looked tatty and therefore grubby even if not and there was recent water ingress in my room. The lifts could not cope with the number of people and staff trying to move about the building and on one occasion it took 30 minutes to get down 30 floors. No ground floor restroom facilities so only option is to wait for a lift! Not what I was expecting from such a large hotel group, centrally located and pricey
Walkable location, close by to transit. Area is not too loud and pretty safe. Main concern was there was no hot water in our room, while other guests shared there was no wifi in the higher levels. Staff said this is due to the building being old.
Clean and safe
Heat in the room at 80 would not go off. Has 3 people up to fix it. Smelled like weed from people smoking in their rooms. Room keys deactivated on a daily basis
All staff were really nice, Deven very accommodating and location is great
It was really good to stay at this hotel for 4 nights. It's really close to the main locations at Manhattan, such as times square, grand central terminal. It was clean, and the staff was excelent and really kind. The hotel looks kinf of old. Price included breakfast and it was really good.
Devon at front desk was helpful, friendly and efficient.
In need of refurbishment
Hotel Very tired in need of refurbishing carpets dirty Room dirty furnishings Desk Staff very good and helpful Bed comfortable Very good Location Nice touch bottled water supplied Breakfast ok
Great hotel
Muy buen lugar
I have stayed at many hotels in New York City over the years and I must say this hotel had the kindest, most hospitable staff I have ever experienced in New York City. Kudos to the team at this hotel!!!!
Location was ideal to get to times square
great staff !!
The room needed several maintenance items attended to. The ac/heat unit didn't seal so very cold air was constantly coming in from the gap around it. The toilet paper holder was broken. Several knobs on furniture needed to be fixed. Not enough elevators really to service the amount of people staying there. We had to walk down the stairs many times because the elevators were too busy. Luckily we were only on the 3rd floor. The breakfast they served was great though. Staff was pretty decent. The housekeeping staff went thru one of our sacks and took cookies. We reported it and they just made excuses. That was bothersome.
Great hotel and above average staff!
I liked that the front desk was very helpful & friendly, she upgraded us to a double bed room which is really great because I have a tall teenager who occupies the entire bed. The only comment I got is the cockroach that dropped on our table while having breakfast, we were seated right below the tv, good thing it didn’t drop on our plates. Otherwise, everything else was great!
Excellent
Ask for a low floor!!
Compliments to the staff that have to put up with a lot of complaints. It’s a 36 story hotel with 2 elevators, one of which is out of order more than half the time. We were on the 21st floor and it took 20 minutes to get to the ground floor. We were lucky that we never had to walk up. The rooms were small and old. It’s nicely located on 39th between 8th and 9th, but there are some suspicious characters hanging around at night. This is what you get for $450 a night in midtown Manhattan these days.
The staff is excellent! Kind and gracious. Ron’s are ok on cleanliness.
Parada de metro lejos de Hotel , durante estadía se dañó ascensor , Hotel tiene un olor horrible .
The room itself was clean enough. Someone had left the shower head pointing out, so we accidentally made a mess when we turned on the shower. A person loudly begging for change needed to be escorted out by security while I was checking in. Another hotel we stayed at in the area was much more on top of this and it was not an issue. I would not likely recommend to anyone.
Upon check in at 0130 the night clerk stated she couldn’t check us in because she was transferring the computer then filled all her goodie bags and once filled then checked us in. There was no refrigerator in the room if you’re just looking for a bed to sleep in this is your place no amenities decent location
Mucha cantidad de habitaciones para 2 ascensores. En el desayuno se complica conseguir mesa. Sino seria perfecto por unicacion y comodidades
The location is on a street where nearby buildings are being renovated and there are people loitering at night. It’s not a very busy and there are no restaurants very close by.
All good
Didn’t like that the room was not as advertised. Terrible quality. A/C unit was broken, carpet was torn. Also elevator was broken at times, and the employee who handles watching baggage was very rude.
Pésimo servicio de elevadores descompuestos e insuficientes para tantos pisos
It was a really good hotel. Decent area, wonderful staff, and clean.
It's conveniently located. Transport links, entertainment venues and various shopping and dining choices are within easy reach. It would have been good if the rooms had a microwave oven.
Domingo was awesome!
Don’t book here !
Was absolute embarrassed I booked this hotel for my family trip ! Beds were aweful , roach fell in my daughters breakfast from ceiling !furniture in room was tore up. Someone knocked on my door asking me to stop shower due to flood in lobby. The hotel only has 2 elevators and 1 was down frequently. We were stuck in 17 th floor with all our luggage. Horrible
Great place and staff !!!!!!!!
Breakfast staff was GREAT! The elevator situation was HORRIBLE. We waited 15 minutes for the elevator to have room for us to get down to breakfast. After waiting that long, we walked down 28 flights of stairs! And we paid extra to have an upper level room. I hated having to plan our breakfast timing around the elevator. And we didn't dare go back up to our room after breakfast, for fear of trying to get back down again. I have issues with my knees, and my legs hurt the rest of the day, which sucks when you're walking around NYC.

I highly recommend because of its clean and comfortable rooms, amenities, and attentive staff.
