Smell of pot in the rooms that come in through the vent which makes it hard to fall asleep and lot of noise all through the night with loud music heard within our room not sure if it’s from the streets or neighboring rooms . Decent breakfast for American standards at this price point
Hotel worked out well for our visit, it was clean, good breakfast options and we could walk to our destinations.
An excellent hotel to enjoy a few days in the city.
Excelente, cerca de Times Square, Empire State Building y otras atracciones.
Staff were very accommodating and friendly.
Nice property, nice staff and area is walking distance from a bunch of stores
Perfect Location for the Thanksgiving parade
Not the best experience.
The hotel needs renovations. I stayed 9 days, and only one elevator was working; they justified the situation by putting some letters on the elevator door, and they seemed old when I got there; not even one day did I see anyone working on the elevator to fix it. Some days, I waited up to 10 minutes to take the elevator up, and when I got to my room, the room key was not working, so I needed to wait for the elevator again to go to the reception and back to the room. The room keys stopped working daily, making my stay a constant trip to the reception; I went to the reception every time I needed to go to my room. The room calefaction wasn't working well, and they did nothing to fix it.
The elevator wasn't working but the staff was friendly and nice. The installations are old but definitely the staff is the plus in the hotel.
Nice please to stay
It was in a great part of town, very convenient and within walking distance to landmarks. Very quiet also!
only 2 elevators but its just fine for the price rate.
Good location but mediocre/low end rooms
Great location near Bryant Park, however, this hotel is not up to par of a normal Holiday Inn. Only one elevator was working, which meant extremely long wait times relying on the remaining slow elevator to work. The room itself had stains on the wallpaper, clock, and an incredibly uncomfortable bed. The bed seemed like it was from the 1980's and still in use. I will not be staying at this hotel again.
Lewis and the other front desk staff was very nice. I did lose an item there. One of my AirPods and I called several times to have it retrieved and with no success and this was very disappointing.
All well, we had to move rooms at 2Am because the heater was crazy. Staff ( graveyard) was cool and understood my needs.
The breakfast was a great option, it was conveniently located, and the staff was great!
Staff was friendly and helpful.
My door kept jamming. I had to keeping going to the front desk to get another one and she kept inferring like I was doing something wrong when in fact it wasn’t me it was the stupid door. There was times I came back in a rush to go use the restroom and I had to go thru all of that and they don’t have a restroom in the lobby I had to take the elevator down another flight.
They provided excellent service . I had an issue that I arrived one day earlier and I was able to grab a room and keep same room for the whole stay instead of switching me rooms the next day for my original check in ! I was so thankful for that ! We will be back in the future ! Great bar / restaurant across the street too !
Very good Continental breakfast and clean hotel. The staff were very welcoming 😊
Good
Great environment clean rooms
.
Ronald ( front desk) exceptional service very helpful. The staff was friendly nice , caring the rooms were clean.
Property was clean, and staff pleasant.
Good stay.
The hotel room was clean and had everything we needed. Staff was AWESOME!!! All of them were friendly, welcoming and customer service orientated. Complementary breakfast was great, they had coffee, eggs, meats, bagels, yogurts, juices.
Lewis the Front desk personnel really made my stay special. He was very warm and welcoming. Holiday Inn decorated my room for my Birthday and I appreciated that. I totally enjoy my experience there.
Ideal for being in and around the fun parts of NYC!
Fantastic location. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean. Well priced. Great option for a family!
The staff was friendly, professional and helpful!
Clean and safe
Loved proximity to the subway and to major attractions. Close to Macy's and times square. Rooms are a little dated but no major issues. Was no refrigerator but desk did hold some items. Staff was great and very helpful. Breakfast was a nice bonus. Would stay again. Clean and comfortable with no frills. Affordable for Manhattan.
Excellent service from the staff and service!
Easy and good stay. Had everything necessary and the breakfast was solid.
The breakfast buffet was excellent and the staff was very helpful
Nice and clean breakfast included and near Time Square
Exelent
Walkable to bryant park and time square. Perfect if you’re on a budget traveling nyc.
Convenient
Great location that is walking distance from many great attractions. All staff members were very friendly, and service was top-notch. Great breakfast buffet to get your day started. Room was more spacious than most New York hotels. Highly recommend!
Had a good time, staff was really helpful and the location is ideal for shopping.
Good hotel, needs sprucing up but a good base
The hotel is nicely situated to base a NYC stay on - the rooms are on the small side and hotel does need some renovation work, a fridge would be nice in the room. The staff are fantastic there and nothing is too much trouble for them. The breakfast is of a standard of all holiday inn express hotels and cannot be faulted however the dining area is small and at time we were waiting for 10mins to get a seat.
First time visiting NYC and we really enjoyed our stay. It was very convenient to Times Square and all the local areas we planned to visit while there. We walked from our Penn Station to the hotel. When we checked in Hotel staff was friendly and recommended a restaurant for dinner. Free breakfast was good! I will definitely be staying here again.
Every aingle person that works there makes sure that everything is going ok with your stay. They recommend places for you to go that are safe and are great. Special shout out to Tiffamy and Luis for making sure our stay was awesome.
Great place excellent location breakfast was excellent
This hotel offers free, standard continental breakfast. I recommend skipping it only because there’s a lot of better food options in NYC. However, it’s a great if you want a quick or free bite. In addition, they offer water/tea/coffee 24/7. The staff is nice and helpful. When we reported there were not enough conditioner and towels, they promptly refilled them. The maintenance worker is especially friendly. He helped us with the elevators and doors. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Times Square and Empire State Building. The surrounding street is clean, safe, and quiet despite the hotel undergoing some construction work. This hotel is a great, affordable option for those who want to stay in Manhattan and are visiting NYC for the first time.
While it isn’t the fanciest hotel, this was everything we needed. It was clean, the location was great, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Also, the shower pressure was amazing and I felt like I was getting a full on massage everyday with the very hot and strong water pressure. It was great!
The room was clean and the staff was always pleasant and helpful. Close to public transportation.
Great location and staff always friendly and helpful.
Nice
Nice Hotel
This was a great hotel you were in the middle of everything. You did not have to go far to see anything couldn’t ask for a better place. It was clean. It was nice. They were friendly. I gave a 10 out of 10.
The hotel was very close to all the sights we wanted to see. The staff was very kind.
Good value for excellent location
This hotel is in a great location for sightseeing. However, we were very disappointed in the staff at the hotel. We had to ask multiple times for clean towels and for our garbage bins to be emptied. I’m not sure if they were short staffed but the hallways were a mess. I would recommend staying somewhere else.
The hotel wak good. Staff was very polite, friendly and profesional. The room was spacious, the bathroom we god was not proper for us. We had a disability bathroom. The airconditioning made a lot of noise. You can hear all the noise from people outside. And is a not smoking hotel, but they smoke in front of the hotel and all the smell came in the room. The breakfast was ok, but change the menu of egg the same everyday. Overall the hotel is wel situated and we felt safe their.
Excellent location
Vcdfghb
Staff was accommodating. Manny one of the managers during breakfast was very welcoming and helpful. Walkable to many areas of interest . Only issue encountered was bathroom sink wasn’t draining well. But otherwise stay was pleasant.
Bathrooms have sliding door instead of closed doors. This property is located on 36 th st and 6 th avenue. Times square is not walkable from this hotel. Instead Empire building is very near to this hotel. Laundry facility not available. Short stay is ok, but not for 3-4 days
The property is looking worn, rooms have damage and could use renovation. The staff made the stay worthwhile!
Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Breakfast options were plentiful but room was busy. Hotel room was quiet
Great value in a great location!
Great value for money but cooked breakfast a little disappointing. If only they did the crispy bacon and omelettes every day! There was a good variety of other items though. Lots of nice yoghurts, some fruit, pancakes, cereals and pastries. The rooms had some tea and coffee but then creamer powder, no milk. Shops very close by though! It’s a little dated inside but comfortable with lots of fresh towels and toiletries and a good hot shower and we had a great view of the Empire State Building from our room on the17th floor. The staff are friendly and the location is very good for walking around. So for the money, we had no complaints! Their use of plastic cutlery wrapped in plastic and disposable plates and cups was disappointing in 2024. But we noticed a lack of recycling efforts and a lot of disposables in most places we visited. The diesel fumes and smell of weed in the air all around Manhattan made it feel like a city behind the times a little. Best bit of the trip was probably watching the Knicks game at Madison Square Garden. The atmosphere was brilliant. And Central Park of course is highlight.
Good hotel great location
Great hotel. Safe and walking distance to everywhere. Breakfast decent. Heated floors in bathroom are added bonus. Would stay again
The staff were so nice and we were so happy that our room was ready at 2pm instead of 4pm when we arrived from a long flight 😊😊
Holiday Inn Express is my absolute favorite hotel and the only place I'll stay at. Love everything about how it is set up, including its sheets and bedding. I can't wait to go back to New York, Holiday Inn Express Manhattan Times Sq S. 60 W 36th Street, New York, NY. 10018 Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!!!
It was a good location for us in our visit to Manhattan. The breakfast was very good. Our room was small and the toilet made noise which we brought to their attention but it was clean and comfortable. The staff was pretty nice and helpful!
Could be better.
The room and bed we find. Very close to Empire State and Rockafella Center. Had a room phone that did not work. Never addressed. Coffee and Tea available 24hrs. Needs some upgrading and TLC! 5 blocks from Times Square.
Breakfast was great and staff was excellent.
Staff was very accommodating. Sandra, Tiffany and Henry helped tremendously. Breakfast was plentiful, hot and enjoyable.
Excellent stay
Dr. Ligon
I stayed here several years ago with students. The location is so excellent. The hotel is showing a few signs of wear and tear, especially in the hallways, but it was wonderful.
Below average stay
Check in staff were good. Breakfast room too small for amount of guests, poor selection of breakfast food with paper plates and plastic cutlery. Only 2 kids, 1 lift always used by cleanser so 19 floors all trying to use same lift. No sound proofing of windows so even on 16th floor it’s noisy. Rooms are tired, old and need work.
Really good location. Although small room it was good enough for 4 adults and breakfast was always good.
It was just fine
Very nice and convenient to popular attractions.
Workers are super nice and helpful, and helped us check in early. Good breakfast options. Will definitely be staying again. Only issue we had was with our key card and room door, had to swipe it a few times every time we wanted to get in, but it’s a only a small issue compared to our great stay.
The staff were amazing! We were there celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and they upgraded us to a room with an amazing view of the ESB and even decorated our room for our anniversary complete with snacks, balloons, sparkling cider, rose pedals, and a nice card from the staff. The property was also clean and in a great location very convenient to lots of things. If we ever find ourselves in NYC, we will definitely stay here again!
Nice
For the price I paid for this property I expected more. It is dirty, worn, and most of the furniture is broken and put together with tape. Marker was used to fill in furniture destruction. There’s a huge red stain on the carpet in the middle of the floor. The toilet has a huge hole in it and the water is dirty. The sheets are wet. It’s cold in our room and the heat doesn’t stay on. It is so bad we don’t feel comfortable walking around without our socks. The drawers don’t work.
Spent a whole week here and everything was amazing!!
Trash cans outside , and construction overhead outside . The staff was great though . Our room had a dark black stain on carpet but food was good
Loved the staff. Was not impressed seeing the garbage cans in the front of the hotel lobby
Great location! Within walking distance of the Empire State Building, Macy’s and other attractions. The rooms are a little small, but that’s to be expected in some of these older buildings in NYC. The staff was all very friendly and the breakfast was good.
The place was very clean, location is great, near time square, Bryant Park, Summit, etc.
Very good location
The stay was pleasant . The staff work hard, bed made everyday of our stay, clean towels etc, however there is scaffolding outside of the building which we were not aware of. The whole place inside looks tired, and could do with a revamp. Location is great, we managed to walk almost everywhere we wanted to visit They tell you there’s complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate 24hours, however the milk is only available at breakfast time. On the whole it was an ok stay.
Great location in NY!
Great location, minutes from Macy's and Time Square. Friendly and helpful staff. Good free breakfast, plenty of choice. Free coffee, tea at all time as well. Rooms good. Location was a bit noisy, to be expected if that close to the city centre, but light sleepers be aware. Some of the facilities listed on Hotels.com where incorrect. It does not have laundry facilities on site
Good location only issue is the walls are thin and you can hear everything. I don’t recommend if you are a light sleeper.
Great location but a tired hotel. Staff were great. The location is what makes this hotel a great option. You can walk easily to 5th Ave, Times Sq, Empire States Building, even Central Park. Close to a hop on, hop off bus service too.
everything was amazing! Sandra I think was her name who checked us in was incredible
o
Great location!
It was a good location
We were very pleased with the hotel and especially pleased with its location and how close we were to Times Square.
Good
Perfect location, great room, friendly staff. Will stay again.
Great city break
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Holiday Inn, and I must say, the experience was fantastic! One of the standout features of this hotel is the incredible city view. Whether you’re enjoying a morning coffee or winding down after a day of exploring, the panoramic views of the city skyline are simply breathtaking. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-appointed, ensuring a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The amenities offered, including a fitness center and on-site dining options, added to the convenience of our stay. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which had a great variety of options to fuel us for our daily adventures. The location is also ideal, with easy access to local attractions and public transport. Overall, my stay at the Holiday Inn was delightful, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy a fantastic city view combined with excellent hospitality!
Central location! Nice breakfast
