Hotel location is perfect and a few yards from the tube station, amenities were good and it is clean. Quite satisfied with the stay. Only negative however is that parking on site is quite expensive - £20 per day

Happy Holiday Inn Express

My stay at this hotel was amazing . I came to London with my two children. The rooms are nice clean and spacious. The breakfast had somthing for all of us. It was wet and cold out side but very warm and cosy in the hotel and the rooms. The reception staff are so very helpful. The location for sightseeing was amazing . The tube st is directly across the road. I am definitely hoping to return to the Holiday Inn Express in the summer .

Cold Bathroom

Decent hotel in good location but no heating in bathroom so pretty cold in January.

Great visit, friendly helpful staff and included breakfast was a plus!

Not happy with free or reasonable parking not provided. £20 is too much per night. Not happy with £50 holding deposit for 24 hrs except the rim charge. Everything else is fine. Best thing is the underground next to it.

Needs improvement in Security

Have been staying at this hotel many many times for the past 7 years. However, our recent stay (Dec 19-21, 2019) was not very pleasant. There was a homeless man slept in the hallway outside our room. The hallway smelt awful. I reported to the receptionist, and immediately they took action and confronted with the man outside the hotel. I hope they will make some positive changes and actions to ensure safety of the guests. Regular surveillance and patrol are necessary.

i would recommend this hotel. close to colliers wood tube station and Sainsbury super market just a stone throw. Restaurant just across the road. Breakfast was fantastic.

Awkward

We got to hotel around 8:00, wanted to check in, ofcourse it was not possible. Guy at the counter said there will be vacancies around 11:00, But it was not around 12:00 either. we came back 8:00 pm and the room was a double bed (wrong),but this time a friendly girl gave us the correct room. Over all it was a very awkward room no closet the TV was about to fall off the wall, night stand had one side almost broken. Very crowded during free breakfast. They do not have cheese for breakfast! bring your own! coffee is OK bread OK but it did not toast well, you have to run it twice. no Gym, no microwave no fridge no water.

We like the location. The tube station just across the street and easy to shopping food and others

ght the quality was lacking. The location was perfect for me for where i was lokking for, but i have stayrd in a hilton with top quality service for the same price. This was poor in comparison. Quite a shody room. Just didnt have much star quality at all.

This property is in a great location , close to the underground station and food outlets however The only issues were the parking fee over and above the accommodation fee is expensive and not always guaranteed. Our room was very hot and the air con would not adjust below 19”c but overall it is was a great experience and we will definitely be back :)

Whole first floor landing smelt damp carpet bubbled off floor. black mold in showers cubical narrow gap between two wall in family room with broken shower head brown grime between tiles on wall in bathroom breakfast bacon and sausages both complete inedible bed very uncomfortable different size base and mattress no sleep for 2 night stay.

European sized rooms that did the trick. Tasty breakfast loved the coffee machines. Bar in hotel convient location.

Handy for Wimbledon & not overpriced! Just accross the road from Colliers Wood Station

Location to tube station - only 2 minutes away. Very convenient. Local shops nearby.

Room key needed for electricity in room.

Everything was great, however, a microwave or mini fridge would have made this stay perfect 👌 They only gave us one room key which unfortunately was needed to activate the power in the room, so it was rather inconvenient on that regard.

As i stayed in a room where the window was not shutting properly and there was an open pub next door so was really noisy... the room was dingy and tiny of what i did not expect to be.... breakfast has very limited choices and its the same everyday. This was my second stay just due to the vicinity from my place of business and experience was pretty the same both times.

Really nice hotel, ideal for Wimbledon tennis. Tube station right across the road. The staff were all very helpful and our room was nice and modern.

The breakfast was lovely Only downside was that the room was very warm and it would have been helpful to have a single sheet instead of the duvet

Disgustingly dirty and stained bed linen which hadn’t been changed. Do not try the food there too as it is very poor indeed.

Loved the location close to the Underground. We stayed there before and after a trip to Paris and they recognized us and welcomed us back. We did get a brand new room our 2nd time, though, and would've loved a new room for the first 5 days of our stay! Price was good and breakfast was great.

Nowhere does it state that on top of paying for the night, you are also obliged to give a £50.00 security deposit to the hotel directly on arrival? After telling several managers at the hotel I didn’t have the same card it was booked with on me (an absolutely ridiculous rule) they eventually wavered the fee stating ‘I trust you on this occasion’ I am disgusted in the way I’ve been treated at this hotel, essentially like a criminal for not having the right card on me to give them a fee that is not stated anywhere on their website. Rude staff,ridiculous rule, mediocre hotel. I’d like a full refund of my stay

Parking was expensive

Get an ironing board on arrival!

No ironing board in the room and reception wouldn’t ring to room. So in the morning had to put on day before shirt and suit to go downstairs to collect. Not great really but apart from that everything was how you’d expect. Clean, friendly, comfortable

Rude Receptionist was disappointed

Normally stayed and everything’s been okay this time a had to phone reception as the tea wasn’t restocked when room was cleaned so I phoned reception to be greeted with “it’s downstairs” very abruptly, very disappointed breakfast also wasn’t as good as it normally had been but rooms where very clean and tidy just a shame about that reception call very rude

Express is what it is called and that is what you get. It is all very basic hotel service. Nothing in the room. Small rooms. Simple amenities. Designed for that one night stop when visiting Wimbledon. But clean and friendly.

Good hotel to stay in. Quiet, but if you share a room as a family (2 adults and 1 child), the room becomes cramped. Staff is friendly but some of the breakfast staff look not motivated and especially one was arguing several times with colleagues in front of customers which is not very prefessional. However, would stay there again.

Stayed on a Sunday night which provided great value for a hotel that was clean, very comfortable and provided a free breakfast. Right opposite the tube for central London!

A lovely stay

Hotel was close to the underground, so was easy to get in to the city, took about 30-40 minutes to get to Euston station. Local co op and cost cutter stores and there was a retail park which had quite alot food outlets on under 5 minute walk. We stayed for 2 nights, room was comfy and clean couldn’t fault anything in the room, think we were in the extended part which seemed new inside. We had breakfast on both days hot option of bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs and beans, and then fruit and bread/toast and muffins and then juices and hot drinks. There wasn’t alot of tables for breakfast for the amount of people at the time but maybe we went at a busier time. The hot drinks were £2 at night so didnt bother with one. Check in was simple and easy, wasn’t that told much maybe she assumed we had stayed there before which we hadn’t. We had a nice stay and would recommend and stay here again.

Systems failures impacting on entire stay

Systems failures during entire stay which meant you could not get back into your room without staff to assist and this was impossible with two reception staff, one of whom was new and in training, and visiting groups of guests etc. Also lifts confusing when needing to access car park or lobby as only some serve this area and not labelled clearly. Info in rooms states all day dining but told by desk staff from 6 pm only. Rooms very clean and amenities in rooms good. Overall disappointed given Holiday Inn chain.

Great central Hammersmith hotel

Comfortable nice bathroom. Bed was too short for a 6'2" chap. Enjoyed the stay.

Not what we booked but Mikaela saved the day!

The staff at this hotel saved this from being a terrible review. We booked a room with 2 double beds and as it turned out there's no such thing! The best they could do was a family room with a double bed and a pull out. This was not the hotel's fault it was the site's fault and the problem has since been fixed. However, this made for a very uncomfortable stay for my grandmother, my husband and myself. Also, we were not told that the parking wasn't included ... after everything else we'd had to deal with the manager (not Mikaela) handled this situation very poorly and we were required to pay this surprise fee in full.

Not in Wimbledon!!

This hotel is advertised as South Wimbledon, IT IS NOT! After spending an hour & half touring Wimbledon , asking lots of locals where is the Wimbledon Holiday Inn , no luck, because it doesn't exist. It is in fact in Colliers Wood, 3 miles away. We were going to watch the London Ride bicycle marathon passing through Wimbledon High Street and not looking to travel 3 miles from our hotel. But we had to. The 200 High Street, London SW19 shown on the booking confirmation actually refers to Colliers Wood High Street, VERY CRAFTY Expedia with that misinformation. £169.00 for 1 night to walk 6 miles to and from our desired location. Never again, NEVER.

Stayed several times because of it's location. Hospital, pleasant Park and lots of food and drink options.

usually good but disappointed this time

welcomed as usual and surroundings good. very hot weather and the air conditioning not working told reception who apologized but nothing else one of the mugs in the room was dirty shower rail in 115 was loose not offered courtesy drink in fact receptionist could not wait for me to settle for drinks i now have sore throat infection as i had to have window open all night due to air condition failure. hardly slept therefore due to traffic noise which i would not have heard if i had window closed

Hotel was very comfortable, standard room at reasonable rate which included awesome buffet breakfast. Great location right next door to old English pub with great food, park directly behind to walk off all that food and drink, tube directly across road for easy transport and Co-op also over road for handy shopping

Enjoyable experience given the orice. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice. Iron was not great. Very cheap. Bed was too soft. Overall conditions was very good.

Fine for a night or 2

It's a budget hotel that will do for a short stay! The staff are polite, rooms are functional, free breakfast is a selling point and actually quite good! Colliers wood underground is right opposite which is very handy, the pub is lovely next to the hotel and area is quite vibrant. The only bizarre thing at the hotel...pillars down the hallways leaving not much space to negotiate the walkway. Watch this if you've been to the pub!

I was very surprised with the Hotel and the location, easy access to most of the trains and close to attractions, nice neighborhood. The staff is very nice and polite, the room clean and new. I recommended to stay there.

Convenient distance from St George's

We needed to stay as we had to go to St George's Hospital. We found the walk between the hospital and hotel took around 15 minutes. Some of the other guests could be quite noisy but this didn't impact our stay much. The service provided by staff was brilliant. We were able to relax in the hotel lounge between appointments and were offered refreshments by staff who were aware of the purpose of our visit. We were also able to order a (delicious) pizza at 11pm after a long day at the hospital. The breakfast was brilliant too. It made a very difficult trip a lot easier and I would definitely stay again!

I had stayed there before and there was a problem with the heating that was resolved very quickly with a radiator being brought up, The room was a clean refurbished one, all was good. This time the room was an old dirtier room with mould. The internet cuts off at a certain usage, one movie. I was disappointed as I had flown over to see my sick father who was in intensive care but stayed in the hotel when it was not visiting times. They never mention limited wifi anywhere, This has never been a problem before as I never really need to stay so close to the hospital. Reception was not very polite about it. The rooms are not that cheap but they still charge for cell phone calls in the same area.

It was very unpleasant smell in the room but they have changed it to the new one.

Noisy

If you book this hotel ask for a room with a park view. Rooms facing the main road are really noisy despite triple glazing. We moved thankfully. The beds are really soft, which we found uncomfortable. However, a generous and good breakfast.

Value for money

Booked this Hotel last minute and was pleasantly surprised. It’s easy to find right outside Colliers Wood underground. Staff friendly and room dated but clean and comfortable. Even though on a main road noise level was minimal and it didn’t disturb us at all. Would stay here again Had a car park but we didn’t use it .

Was disturbed by construction work 3 mornings in a row with workers literally on my window until I went to the window closed curtains then they left!

I use this hotel a few times per year for work purposes - good location - tube station and buses just across the road. Clean well maintained. Pleasant staff most of the time. Can get a breakfast to go, which can be useful.

Staff is friendly and rooms clean

The staff was really friendly.the room was clean. My issue was that this double bed are very small and the bathroom shower was not great I mean the drainage. I took the shower for few minutes, less than 10min and when I’m finished all floor on the bathroom was flooded nearly start coming into the bedroom so need to use the towels to wipe it off

Holiday Inn Express @ Colliers Wood

The room was nicely furnished but it was on the front of the building and although set back from the main road it was quite noisy with traffic noise we didn't ask to change the room because we were only stopping two nights but next time we'll ask for a room at the back of the hotel. On the second morning only two out of four of the self service coffee machines was working and some of the cutlery was dirty even straight out of the dish washer. Parking at the hotel was limited but we were able to park outside a relatives house but dropping off and picking up our luggage was not easy.

Little bit diasapoonted in some things

Service was fine, area is great because of how close the tube is and we have stayed here every year for 3 years now, disappointed in the room very old room I think it was as it’s been the worst room we’ve stayed in, and the breakfast wasn’t good either bacon too fatty and the sausages not nice this breakfast is normally better also, so not a great stay but was fine for a couple days

good hotel stay

the staff are friendly, the hotel is located very conveniently next to a tube station, the room was clean and comfortable - only downside being how thin the walls are. you can literally hear the person cough in the next room. they also has an exceptional buffet breakfast. I'm celiac and i wasn't expecting to be able to ear anything except maybe fruit or a yogurt but they had gluten free porridge, cereal and genius bread!! i was very happy!

It was OK, but nothing fancy. Did not have breakfast, but did not look as if I missed a lot... Beds and linen were A+++

Good location close to public transport

Located close by Colliers Wood tube station. Comfortable room with upgraded ensuite. Good breakfast and excellent staff. However rooms need painting and heating took while to heat up. Also avoid rooms backing on to lifts

Central, clean, modern, breakfast included

We stayed here one night, in two rooms. The location is very central and the there is parking underneath, but the parking costs 20 pounds/day. The room was very clean and modern, compact but with everything we needed. There was air conditioning which we did use because it was a bit stuffy. The breakfast was included and it was tasty, the teens loved it.
