Location

The staff were friendly for the most part but their housekeeping was a bit lacking. Otherwise it was a pretty enjoyable stay.

Cool little couch. -Good Service at front desk -neat pool -decent workout room -on Sunday the breakfast was great -well maintained -ice machine on every floor and they all work -plenty of parking -great location -housekeeping was excellent Grows: -they filled in the hot tub with concrete... that sucked! -There is lots of unused space in the exercise room that could accommodate a cable machine -some freeweights were missing in the exercise room -Saturday breakfast only had one older lady working and stations, such as oatmeal and fruit, were closed. She could not keep up with restocking what was open. Should never be a single employee, especially not an elderly woman, trying to manage a hotel breakfast buffet. Not up to Holiday Inn standards. -Need USB charging ports in rooms.

Nice Hotel - Crime area

The hotel itself was very nice - check in was easy and staff was friendly. I wish we had been worned about all the car break-ins. There were 6 cars that were broken into the first night we stayed (all windows were busted out) - my husband's gun was stolen. If we had known there were issues, he never would have left it in the car. No police showed up and they wouldn't refund our room (we didn't feel safe staying another night but already had to replace a broken car window)

For some reason I thought there was a hot tub but the pool for kiddos was great!

Great hotel

Great! The pool is awesome and actually warm. The room had some wear to a lot of things. Could deff use some fixing. But overall great room. The hotel doesnt smell like fragrance strong which is awesome. We hate fragrance its terrible for you. This hotel is super strict on wrist brand for the pool. We are a family of 6. 2 small toddlers.We got the 2 queen room. They techinally only wanted to give 4 wrist bands for our room. I think the level of strictness on this is a little off putting. They didnt give us an issue about it but the level they go to with it is annoying. We wouldnt get 2 rooms for pur family so if they did enforce it, it would leave our family in a pickle.

Not My Favorite Place

We had a lot of issues at this place. Check in went smooth but we were not aware of why there was a $100 deposit required for the room over and above the room rate. Turns out that it is a damage deposit. It was refunded after a few days. A lot of the customers were very loud and disrespectful of the quiet times posted throughout the hotel. Several times we called the main desk when we became adamant that the quiet times be enforced. My wife even went downstairs to discuss the issue with the main desk. While the rules were ultimately enforced we were made to feel like it was our fault the hotel was so noisy or that we were not 'understanding' enough. Another time in the middle of the night when I was awakened I had to approach the room of another group of customers and ask them to quiet down. They did not so I called the main desk on them also. All in all a very unpleasant experience. Never did sleep well that night. We woke ready to go and plan on not returning to this particular location.

The website said they have a hot tub, they do not. The pool was freezing. We brought it to the night manager's attention, he said it was exactly where it was supposed to be. If your looking for relaxing in a pool or hot tub, go somewhere else.

No hot tub :(

The information about this hotel said there was a pool and hot tub. The hotel has gotten rid of the hot tub and they are pretty strict about their pool usage. You have to sign a waiver. The rooms were very large and spacious but they kind of smelled funny and definitely gave off the vibe that this is a super old hotel with a super cheap makeover.

TOO NOISY

There happened to be a family that checked in that had many kids and they were running up and down the halls and jumping on beds above us. I thought it was a bit pricey compared to other hotels. was nice for a one night stay.

Our stay was so good we extended it an extra day just to hangout at the pool! The staff was polite & helpful. Rooms were clean, everything was well maintained.

Hot tub is down very nice hotel but that’s whole reason we stayed there was for the hot tub plus it says nothing about a deposit its$100. Couldn’t get a refund was on hold with virtual agent for couple hours and no one came back was connected once

Perfect for groups with kids!

We took a whole gaggle of middle school girls (a Girl Scout Troop) and the staff was remarkably tolerant of our shenanigans. They were polite and friendly to us and to our girls. We needed to set up "camp" in the breakfast nook to eat pizza and they offered us plates and napkins. They didn't have to do that. The pool and hot tub were clean and perfect after a day of city exploring. If you're traveling with kids of any age it's great - a little slide, buckets that dump water, and the pool gets deep enough to play mermaid. The hot tub was great for us olds. Beds were comfortable, showers were hot, and the breakfast spread was generous and the celiac among us even found things to eat.

The property was fine. Wish there had been more options for the breakfast. Like turkey options. My family and I don’t eat pork so that was all bad for us. We planned on eating before going to the zoo. Breakfast there would have held us over. Unfortunately we ended up buying food at the zoo.

Amazing pool area!

Enjoyed our stay except for the streaming tv service. Randomly rebooted a dozen times over our four day stay.

Wonderful stay! Close to everything. Hotel was clean, staff were so friendly, room was clean beds were comfortable and they had a very nice free breakfast! Pool area was great only issue was it closed at 9 which is to early for a weekend. Will be staying again.

Key cards never worked and the side entrances didn’t work which they knew about and haven’t addressed, making it more difficult to access vehicles and luggage. Pool and hot tub close at 9pm 10 would be better.

We stayed at this hotel for an overnight stay. The pool was perfect for my 8yr son. Bonus for the hot tub being positioned so I could relax a little and still keep an eye on him. Only negative we had was, none of the cardio machines had power. Instead of getting assistance we just did a dumb bell workout.

Off the busy road and surrounded by trees. Clean facility and friendly, attentive staff! Kids LOVED the pool area, which was also very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was delicious and there were many options. Also there was a nice sitting area right outside the breakfast area.

This hotel is super nice, very clean, we all absolutely LOVED the pool and hot tub, the breakfast was good they even had a little machine that made pancakes in under a minute. No charge for parking, we would absolutely stay here again, decent driving distance to the zoo

The location was very convenient, close to shopping and restaurants. Area was busy but hotel is set back from main road and quiet. Staff were friendly, check in was smooth. Room was very clean and comfortable. Pool and hot tub wereperfect after a long day ofdrivi g.

The property is nice. Great pool and jacuzzi. Easy to dine nearby. The room was extremely dusty not on the standard surfaces but on the walls headboards curtains etc. if your allergy prone. Do NOT go here

Cool and Comfortable!

Staff was friendly, hotel was clean. Breakfast was good! Only disappointment was that the picture shown upon booking had the living area separate from the sleeping area, and the room did not when we arrived. Just letting people know in case they need it for sleeping area. The beds were comfortable and the AC was pumping great in this summer heat!

Pool is great option for the kiddos and easy access to much around the city.

The lady at check in was friendly and very welcoming. The young man assisting at the pool was helpful and friendly as well. Lobby, halls, elevator, and pool area seemed extremely clean and inviting.

Truly enjoyed our stay, the property was very clean. The staff was very welcoming and friendly as well. The accessibility to the room was nice because of the multiple entrance with the key card so overall a 10 out of 10.

I was expecting more to be honest, but the pool area was very nice. Rooms were ok. My ac was leaking so the carpet around it was wet. Chair worn down. We pretty much stayed busy and only in the room to sleep. They did have a decent breakfast. Staff was just ok, whoever checked us in wasn't friendly.

No juice at breakfast bar, expired milk. Had to go else where for breakfast. When checking out the lady said she would email me and provide points for our inconvenience, but received nothing

Lots of pluses but also some disappointment.

Cleanliness was exceptional! Did not appreciate the cold shower around 9:30 AM. Breakfast was the major disappointment. Pancake machine was empty at 9AM and no syrup. Rolls were scarce and yogurt was all gone. It was supposed to be available until 9:30. I expected better from a place in this price range. Pool was very nice.

Terrible stay

The room that was shown on the picture was not the room we were given. We book a one bedroom suit from hotels.com and when we arrived it was a normal queen suit with a pull out couch. There was no kitchen area and not a separate room. We were shown almost a full size fridge and we had a small hotel sized fridge. We brought groceries with us that we lost due to no room in the fridge and also the size of the room was incredibly small with 6 people. The front desk worker said they don’t even have rooms like that at the hotel and the photos are wrong.

Pool wins

The pool was the hit—it was spring break, so we imagine that played into the crowdedness, but our kid didn't care one little bit. The breakfast room was also extremely crowded and understocked. The room itself was comfortable.

No hot water and never said anything about $250 security deposit

Look, I normally love a Holiday Inn Express, and have stayed at many. We chose this property because of the fun pool and the reliability of what we can expect at a Holiday Inn Express. However, this one was very disappointing. The biggest problem (and it’s a big one) is that our room didn’t lock. We figured it out after we’d already stayed a night and left during the day. We came back to the room and the key wasn’t lighting up, so we tried the door and it opened without a key. We did this several times and took a video to show the staff. When we told the front desk, she said she would “look into it” and “send someone up.” We went to sleep that night with our door still not locking. Obviously from the inside we could use the latch, but if we had to leave this option would not work. That’s not just disappointing, it’s unacceptable. I don’t blame the staff. The hotel seemed understaffed, overwhelmed, and undertrained, but still, this was not ok. I plan to escalate the IHG, as really it is their problem that the facility is understaffed and no one knew how to fix this. A few other issues with the property: the pool had VERY limited seating, so we had to sit on towels on the ground, and the breakfast area also had limited seating. The breakfast was also staffed with only one employee and the hotel was very busy, so there were long lines and empty trays. Overall this was by far my worst Holiday Inn Express experience, and we would not go back to nor recommend this location.

Worst checkin EVER. 1. They charge $250 extra each room for a security deposit. 2. We got two rooms but one wasn’t ready. Nope, they didn’t know when it would be ready, nope, they wouldn’t call me to let me know it’s ready, I would just have to keep stopping in to see if it “might be available” and nope, we won’t give you a discount for being late. 3. They require wristbands to get into the pool and since we got two rooms and one wasn’t ready, half of my kids would be able to go in the pool but the other half had to sit in a room and wait until the other room was ready, but no one knows when that would be. NO APOLOGIES, nothing. Then I asked that they just refund my room and let us out of the reservation. They said sure, it’s refunded. BUT! Called later to say they were having trouble refunding it because I had booked through Expedia. I contacted Expedia who said, the hotel is giving me the runaround because it was a pay later reservation so no money went through Expedia, only the hotel and they don’t know why the hotel is acting like they can’t give a refund. When I checked out, the clerk assured me (because I asked twice) that it was already refunded. Save yourself a headache and book a room at staybridge suites!

Very nice :)

Everything was excellent. The ONLY problem was the ice bucket. It looked like the last person had used it for food. I took it to the front desk in the morning and the lady was clearly disgusted too and apologized. I would stay here again.

We picked this hotel because it included a hot breakfast. The sign said Sunday morning that the oven was broken. Sorry for your inconvenience

Disappointed

I had a dirty bloody washcloth on my shower curtain rod. That washcloth fell off the curtain rod and fell on top of my head and hands. We couldn’t use the hot tube due to us being over packed with younger teenagers. We also had a complaint saying we were “running around” in our room, but all of us were in bed. I believe we were being targeted due to me complaining about the room.

The wristbands for the pool is a bit much and not being able to bring any drinks or food into the pool area is absurd. Also for the size and capacity of the pool there is less than 20 chairs and only 6 tables. The breakfast was meh. The Pancake machine wasn't working. The staff seemed irritated to be there. Eggs had no flavor, ran out of bacon. Room was large and spacious.

Not great

When we checked in we where made to sighn a waver for the pool with wierd question that made me uncomfortable. The bed was not very comfortable. After waking up the nedt morning we noticed blood stains on the sheets we dident see the night before due to how tucked in all the sheets where .

This property needs some much needed updates. The couch was shedding the faux leather so badly that my son did not want to sleep on the pull out bed. There were black flakes from the couch everywhere. The bed was not comfortable at all. Other than some minor things, everything was great. The staff at the hotel were amazing and the pool was great for the kids.

Check your room!

Stay was for the most part OK but after staying 1 night in room 315 we got home and while unloading our bags we found a bed bug and 2 out of 3 of us have bites!

Tons of food and options available for breakfast and staff is very nice. Unfortunately the roaches in the room were a big turn off and the pool and hot tub were gross - Cloudy water in both, lots of debris and tons of foam in the hot tub. I couldn't believe the amount of people in the hot tub putting this 'foam' all over their faces.

I brought my son, his wife and my 2 granddaughters just for the night because of the pool area. My granddaughter is 3 and the splash pad and frog slide were perfect for her getting into a large pool for the first time. We had a blast and everything was perfect. Highly recommend

Did not receive the room I paid for!

I purchased a suite, paid for a suite but I did not receive the suite I paid for! I paid for 2 queen beds with a separate living area with a couch and a kitchen with a island, fridge ect. I received a room with 2 queen beds, I did not receive what I paid for! I told the front desk when I arrived that my room was wrong and she informed me that when I book a room thru a third party I won’t get what I thought I would get. I was not happy and still not happy I over paid and did not get the “suite” I purchased.

Very clean hotel, key card services were down during our stay. Staff was pleasant and re-entry to room was quick. Overall nice and safe property. Loved the hot tub option! Great rate for a quick in and out stay.
