Comfortable bed and sheets/pillows

Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was great. A bit outdated but great overall. Location was in middle of six flags and sea world. Will be staying here again

Small beds and bathroom was not very clean

We were there 2 nights and our room wasnt cleaned during our stay. I had to ask for cleaned towels which other hotels clean and repkace towels

For one thing the breakfast was unattended juices were empty and the tray were filled with fluids and overflowing on floor and counter, egg tray was empty no eggs no Sudafed and under cooked. Other than that nice people.

Very clean

Stay was nice. They were very friendly. The free breakfast was ok. They had waffles, yogurt, bread, english muffins, cereal, and some fruit. Nothing too fancy. The room was clean, but the beds were a little hard for my liking. Otherwise, it was nice property for the price. Thank you.

For this property being a holiday inn i was dissapointed. The staff was borderline rude and had a attitude of indifference. Property was in need of reapir and deep cleaning. Furniture was dated and mis-matched. One piece of furniture was left up against the adjoining rooms door as if they felt unsafe or door did not lock between rooms and maintenance staff left it there. The tub had rust stains and door to restroom was warping at bottom. Wall paper was peeling in places and the vent fan would not turn on. Breakfast would have been ok but staff was unattentive to refill empty food trays. I will not plan to stay here again.

There was an ugly smell on the room once you open the room door: the bed sheets were with stains. We required a room change and ithey assigned us a different room.

Wouldn’t Stay Again

Booked this location due to our vacation trip being 10 minutes away. Lots of restaurants close by as well as activities to do with the kids in the nearby area. A/C unit didn’t seem to work properly, thankfully the weather is cold outside. If it was summer time I could see this being a problem. The mini fridge wasn’t cold at all and a roach came and ran back into the hole where the TV wires came out from. Also the curtains were stained like someone committed suicide at the window while watching his wife cheat in the parking lot, which we got a nice view of. Wouldn’t stay here again.

The staff was awesome. But the room is dirty with cockroaches running around. Its obvious that they have a skeleton crew that is doing bare minimum in cleaning the rooms. The microwave works but needs to be unplugged to stop working. Clearly needing a replacement.

Location sends me back there from time to time. Each time I promise myself it will be the last time.

They requested me to pay $25 cash deposit so when I checked out they never got my money back then I call back to tell them to send the money back to me they told me they could not send the money back to me to me that's a scam if I pay cash or other method of payment I expect for you to give me my money back I've been trying to talk to the manager but they've been giving me the runaround so I'm really disappointed with this location I never got my $25 back.

I really liked the location. I did not enjoy the smell of the hallways; everything else was fine.

I’ve stayed in several Holiday Inn Express this was the worst one I have ever stayed in. Looks like it used to be a super 8 that was switched over to Holiday Inn Express. I killed a roach in my room Friday and Saturday morning (I have a video). I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS LOCATION AGAIN NOR WILL I SUGGEST TO MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY!

Not up to Holiday Inn brand

Not up to holiday inn standards. This place had bugs, and the rooms and sheets were dirty. We checked in late and hotels were scarce the weekend we were there or we would have just checked-right out BUT made it work. They did provide replacement sheets if that is saying much. My wife was livid but we were only there for 8-9 hrs long enough to sleep. Breakfast bar was decent but Holiday Inn should take their name off this place or make a huge investment in bringing it up to the standards of other branded hotels

Property was nice, and staff extremely friendly and helpful.

Disappointing trip to San Antonio

The hotel is dirty and no maid service. The bathroom is full of mildew and mold and the tub is stained and dirty. The staff is unpleasant and we ran out of TP. The front desk argues with me about getting extra TP and didn’t clean our rooms once in 4 days.

The one the my husband I always look forward to is having a nice breakfast. Breakfast was not like any other Holiday Inns breakfast we’ve had. It was not good

The bedroom carpets were dirty and smelled. The bathroom tub/shower was terrible , paint all over the place, tiles dirty and missing, missing tiles for vent/light. Breakfast was terrible

It has been quite a while since I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express, but I chose it because of the immaculate cleanliness, courteous staff treatment, clean swimming pool and the help that I needed from the front desk to access all of my needs for the stay. I am sorry to say that I was very disappointed in what I found at this location. The person at the front desk began literally hollering at me stating that I did not have a reservation. I showed him my reservation confirmation on my iPhone but he said he could not do anything about it, nor would he help me until he had received the reservation. He said I needed to go online to contact Expedia and to call them and get it cleared. I did not have a phone number for Expedia and asked him, Jakes Parbhu, what their Phone number is. He repeated it to me, continuing to holler at me, and told me to call them at - 1-888-397-1786. After waiting about 10 minutes, while he repeatedly continued to holler at me, I spoke with the Expedia Agent Mr. Avxinau, whom I could hardly understand because of his very broken english, I discovered that my reservation was for the following day. I asked him if he would kindly change it to begin on the day of my arrival October 14, 2024. After about 15 minutes he finally made the change, but the desk Manager, Mr Jake Parbhu said he could not check me in until he had received the confirmation on his front desk app. So, I continued to wait until he finally hollered at me that he had received it.

Old but great staff, comfy beds

It's an old hotel close to the airport. Small pool and hot tub, snack area, laundry, overall decent. There's an old smell to it, but beds were comfy. Bring quarters for laundry there's no change machine and guy at desk doesn't have quarters. The hot tub was probably 80 degrees but I was glad because it was so hot out that I found it quiet refreshing. Staff there really great and friendly!

Ugly Room

It smelled like mildew n the bathroom sink stopper didn’t work properly!

It was roaches in our room. Woke up to one in my bed. On the bathroom counter. Worst of all I went to get breakfast and one was in my plate when I walked in the room. Not sure if it flew in my plate or if it came from the kitchen. Don’t eat their breakfast.

very pleasant stay

A smaller sized roach met me when I was entering the room for the first time. It was next to the key pad. My second, and last night there, I moved two bed pillows and there were two baby roaches between the pillows! That was it for me! Never again!

Nice property and short distance to the Airport. The room looked neat, but there was no plates nor cups to use, cabinets were all barred and shut. And the sofa was very old and uncomfortable, needs upgrading. Staff service was good.

Good hotel for what it is.

Ok. The property does need some refurbishing. But is a great hotel for what it is. Clean and comfortable. Affordable and 10 minutes north of the airport. Pool was clean and nice although the hot tub was not really hot. Really good breakfast in the hotel and restaurants a short drive away. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice stay.

Overall an ok stay. Room was veru dated, shower curtain rod was damaged and couldn't hold the curtain open. Bathroom was in poor condition. When we checked in they gave us the key to a room someone was still staying in. For a big name such as Holiday Inn more was expected. It met our needs for one night but would not stay there longer.

Worst experience in hotel stay. The Holiday Inn Express we stayed at the night before was less than 10 mins away and a wonderful experience. They were booked so we booked here. Big mistake. The guy at the desk was not friendly and just grabbed for the card in my hand. My credit card! Then made an annoyed face when he realized it wasn't my ID. The room was clean but the furniture was in bad shape and so was the bathtub! Everything in the bathroom was rusted. The people above us made loud jumping noises that sounded like kids running around all night. Then, we went down for our free breakfast at 9:30 and there was NOTHING!! Just a taped piece of paper that said "breakfast until 9 am." He never mentioned this at the desk. Every Holiday Inn I have ever stayed at serves breakfast until 10am. So our 4 year old was very upset.

Location made it worth it.

This worked for a place to stay with 15 teenagers. Bed was comfy and having the mini fridge helped. Only 15 minutes from Six Flags. The bathroom in room 217 has a problem with the shower bar and therefore the curtain didn't stay closed. This creates a problem with trying to keep the water inside. We were careful but others have not been as the for boards are getting soft. Other than that, it's just a laid-back place to stay after a long day in the parks.

Breakfast had a bit to be desired but it is what it is would stay again at the price

The older man that checked us in was very nice and accommodating. He made it fast and easy. The room was okay as far as cleanliness, but everything worked as it should. Some things were questionable, but I didn’t complain or give them the opportunity to fix it, so I won’t go into detail on those things. I will say, the water pressure was 10/10. Hotels usually have little to none so we were happy about that. Overall, it’s a 7/10. We would come again if we needed somewhere safe and quiet to sleep during a weekend trip.

It was clean and tidy but breakfast options was very less for vegetarians, there was no hot chocolate , no tea bags.kitchen staff was friendly.

Dirty Bathroom

The bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly, and the toiletries weren’t replenished. There were 3 dirty was towels on the shower curtain, used shampoo on the top lip of the tile in the shower, and the toilet wasn’t flushed.

This hotel looks cheap. Our bathroom and toilet were dirty with layers of dirt, disgusting. Breakfast buffet was poor and cold. During the time we were eating was not changed or replaced, not many options to choose. Not enough staff, around. Not a pleasant stay, and I paid over $250 for both nights :-(

We had a great one night stay, Front desk was super nice and allowed us check out at 11:30. Also had a nice hot breakfast with coffee and orange juice! Definitely recommend.

The bathtub was dirty as well the sing was filty

It was a quick and easy check-in and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The facility was nice and very clean the room was spacious.

Hotel is old. Hotel rooms were not clean. Tooth past spit in the sink, shower not clean previous customer body wash left on the tub-not clean. Stains everywhere. Bedding not clean, bed wasn’t made nice looked as if they pulled the covers up. Breakfast not served on time and was horrible. Charged different price from app. Holiday Inn should remove their name. Staff rude. Location not safe.

It was handy to where I was going. they take good care of you while there. The but otherwise it was a good stay.breakfast is a little lacking and the hot tub was shut down . It was a good stay.

My stay was not pleasant. The room was noisy, I could hear the neighbor. The light switches in the room were not all working. The internet didn't work. There was no service. My stay was mediocre. Then I was charged additional fee on top of the stay. This site is not recommended.

Overall everything was great but the jacuzzi did not have a tub stopper so there was no way to use it.

Worst stay ever

Cockroach in room, urine stains on blanket. After asking to switch rooms, switched to a room with a bed full of dog hair. We purchased two rooms and the stay was horrible. We had to leave in the middle of the night because it was so gross

Our first room, AC didnt work and the phone didn't work either. 2nd room, smelled funky, old furniture, old everything and sofa mattress was really bad

The customer service was excellent during our stay in San Antonio.

Weekend getaway

It was a weekend stay, the only issue i had was, the room wasn't made up after our daily activities and we had to ask for clean towels on the second day. Other than that, the room was comfortable and clean.

The tub was moldy. I will seek other hotels for the family.

Property and service was average. Hotel is close to the airport, no shuttle service.

Tired worn out room

The overall condition of the room was very poor and abused.

Was only here over night for business. Everything was outstanding

It was a good place.

The hotel met normal standards but there were a few areas that could have been given more attention. We found long black hairs on the bed sheets and on the towels. We had to ask for toilet tissue as an extra roll was not left in the room. And my biggest complaint was finding out at check in that because I had booked through Expedia that my IHG membership was useless. I should have been told about this by Expedia.

Not holiday inn quality

It's a nice one, just needs a bit of repairs; here and there. It's clean, as it should be.

Very old building, Corridor stinks, no airflow, noticed they turn off AC in the corridor. Room AC was very noisy and was not cooling the room. Bathroom and kitchen sink did not seem cleaned well or very old. Couldn’t open the refrigerator. Breakfast experience was even worse, 2nd morning kids even didn’t feel to eat there. Not welcoming staff..overall experience terrible. I wouldn’t recommend this place, it’s a NO STAY place

Great quiet place

The Shower head shot water everywhere when it was set on any setting other than the “jet” setting. The door security latch was broken. The bathroom floor tile was very cracked and partially broken.

Good: It was quiet and easy to get to. Bad: No parking in front. Bathroom was decrepit. No grab bars anywhere. Every screw was loose. Paint and plaster falling from the ceiling. Aerator on bathroom faucet is clogged, water shoots out everywhere. Shower head doesn't turn properly, it either shoots a hard spray around, soaking the bathroom, or it shoots a hard spray on the outside and a hard stream in the middle at two widely different temperatures. Safety latch on front door was loose. No coffee for breakfast on Tuesday The poor girl at the front desk had to do the breakfast and the desk and the store. Hire some help, cheapo Keycard was turned off before checkout. I had to walk around the building in the rain to get back in.

Neat lobby New carpeting No personality.

Generally ok. But had German roach in bedroom three flights up, parking in rear not accesible to guests but staff used it. When asked about it they two staff men said they couldnt get it to work. I had to make several trips all the way around the property to bring in luggage if one of few closer spots not available. Went through three irons the one that worked had a crack where water leaked. Buffett not too inviting. In evening not even water left out and snack area blocked. Left one day early. Will not book there again.

Room overall was nice , comfortable bed , quite... The tile in shower showing signs of age and wear. Molded areas around tub. Exit door had excessively dirty handles. Cigarette butts all over the area around exit. Soiled carpet in front of elevator 2nd floor....

Rooms were gross, the tiles in the bathroom were broken, the top street had stains. The place didn’t smell clean and was not what I expected from a holiday inn.

The room was nice & cold upon entering, which was very nice after being in the hot weather. The staff was accommodating & friendly.

The property is not maintained very well. The towels were well used and dingy. Lots of dust on the lamps and the coffee station. Rugs in the hallway need to stretched and cleaned. My daughter tripped on one of the cross rugs that did not lay flat. I would not go there again nor would I recommend it.

Walk in. Stuck waiting for someone to help us. Get to room. Blood stains on the sheets. Waiting 30 minutes to receive a new set of sheets. Found women’s underwear and paper towels from other customers under the furniture. One of the worst if not the worst stay I’ve ever had.
