My stay was wonder and the staff was exceptional.

Clean Rooms

It was ok

It was clean, but the wash cloths had a sour odor to them. The makeup removers also smelled bad. The bed was comfortable, but we would have preferred a regular sofa over that chaise lounge. The exit door at the bottom of the stairs, to the parking lot was misaligned and would not close securely. I told the customer service staff and they said it was a maintenance issue that they were aware of.

Very nice hotel in the Memorial area, easy to find and close to the medical facilities if you need a place to stay for that.

It was close to many restaurants, unfortunately room next door was very noisy, couple got into a fight then loud music. We could not rest

When I decided to extend my stay, Andrea Ernest was amazing at helping me and getting situated in a new room with a bathtub. The property is well kept and all of the staff is extremely nice and helpful. I was working remotely as my son and daughter-in-law had just had a brand new baby, so I needed to be closer after the birth. The internet at the hotel met all my needs for being able to work remotely and never had a lag in time. I would definitely book a hotel stay here again.

Do Not Stay Here….

Front desk service was appropriate while at the facility. Phone/Contact while trying to get to the facility and to report problems was poor. Housekeeping was not up to par. Even entering the room while packing before checkout, twice , stating that they’re removing towels. My necklace and bracelet set, was stolen during the towel removal. There were only two sets of towels used, it didn’t require TWO non-English speaking housekeepers entering the room before checkout to clean. Along with the towels, the Tiffany’s necklace and bracelet come up missing. Hotel staff to this point have ignored my complaints. I had to contact the Houston Police Department to intervene and I am still waiting for a call back from anyone in management.

Bed Bugs!!!!!

BED BUGS - BED BUGS - BED BUGS - BED BUGS - BED BUGS - BED BUGS - BED BUGS We booked the Holiday Inn Express - Memorial City Centre through Hotels.com for 10/6-10/7 as we needed to come to town for a funeral. We checked in on 10/6 at about 4p, and the girl at the front desk, Abigail, was so sweet and kind and helpful. She was so lovely throughout our entire experience. At about 9p the night of the 6th, we discovered bed bugs in both of our beds. We called down to the front desk and Abigail came up to our room, saw the bugs, confirmed them in both beds, and saw that they were moving. She also took pictures with her phone, and trapped some physical bugs in some clear tape, and I have some, as well. She attempted to make us another reservation with a different IHG hotel, but there were issues with that hotel, as well. We ended up booking a separate hotel with Hotels.com, and it was wonderful, albeit more expensive. So I have requested compensation for the third hotel room we booked, and the hotel management always says they will get back to my email and (almost 2 months later, despite many follow up calls) they have not ever responded. If bed bugs weren’t enough to stay away, their lack of professionalism handling it sure is.

The room was clean and able to be completely dark and quiet overnight! These are most important when traveling for me. The breakfast had variety and tasted great! I’m so glad I looked around and found this location.

Very clean and comfortable rooms

I stayed there for two nights. was fine at first however my TV was broken and they couldn't switch it for a new TV until the second day. The front desk offered for me to switch rooms but I was already unpacked. I was traveling with a disabled child so it would have been a lot of trouble to move rooms. I declined. Unfortunately, the front desk switched my room number in the computer even though I declined. When the night shift came on they thought my room was vacant so sometime after 11:00 at night a strange man used the key and just walked into my room where my daughter and I were sleeping. It was very frightening. I had to push him out the door. Everyone was very apologetic and I was comped a night stay so they did try to make it right but I travel a lot and I have never had anything like that happen. Another minor inconvenience was I asked the front desk for two extra towels at 8:00 a.m. because I already used the two in the room for my daughter. No one ever brought them until after I left for the afternoon so I couldn't take a shower in the morning like I wanted to. That was a little annoying. Other than that this day was uneventful the food was decent in the breakfast area. I'm not sure I would stay there again. I've never felt unsafe in the hotel before until this trip so that was kind of a deal-breaker for me even though they did cop me a night which was a nice gesture. I did not sleep well that night at all. I was very worried because somebody out there had a room key.

There were these little bugs found crawling on ceiling in the room. Also, the restroom was very clean. I had to clean toilet on my own (as it looks like splatters from the previous guest). Overall, properly was cool. Bed comfy, A/C cold.

Omg! Run away as fast as you can! I booked this place from the EXPEDIA REVIEWS AND RATINGS! I was so wrong! First thing first just don’t come here, as soon as we arrived security is driving around the property. My thoughts was, it must be unsafe. Because for actual security to be here on duty. Next, the lady who was sitting in the lobby on the phone was actually the check in clerk. I was worried about how professional that was, then to make it worst. She hands me a card and tell me to make sure the key work because she just changed it out. Well, I made it up to the 4th floor and the key didn’t work. So I had to go ahead and travel back to the lobby and have her walk me up to let me into my room for the evening. After I slept the next morning I checked out and ran out that place. Also, the elevator were dirty. Like someone wiped their nasty hands on the walls of the elevator. Ewwww! By the way, I still haven’t received my security deposit for the nights stay!

Room was oddly shaped. Very minimal flat surfaces for items. Someone’s vehicle was stolen around 10am. Will never stay at this location again!

Stolen Vehicle!

Our truck was stolen at 10:00am on our second day here. Cameras weren’t able to be reviewed until 12 hours later. The hotel assistance was understanding, not much they could do. One employee mentioned of vehicles being broken into being common, yet there was not a single sign warning to keep valuable away or similar. We were left there with no transportation for food or any activities after this. I will never come back to Houston in general. If you stay here make sure you are aware your vehicle might broken into or stolen! Very suspicious how no one say anything and how they knew exactly where to come and what time as well.

Clean

The bed was comfortable, but there was no bedding for the sofa bed and we only had two towels. In the morning, we were wakened by a fire alarm at 730, went to see if it was real, and after finding it was false, found out there was no breakfast available either since they were shorthanded. No apologies from anyone for any inconvenience to us. Disappointing.

Nice pool and breakfast plus beds were comfy.

I didn’t like that the staff didn’t change the sheets as often. But overall it was a great hotel and will be booking again.

Maintenance is very slow at fixing issues (back entrance doors were not working for the 5 days I was there, my blinds were broken for my entire stay). The area is not great, as at least two cars got broken into. On the other hand, the front desk staff was great, friendly and helpful.

Beautiful hotel! Lots to do in the area. I will say my only complaint was the unsupervised kids in the pool was a little stressful for me. As I was visiting my sister with my children at home, I felt like I needed to supervise the kids that had no adult in the pool area with them. This was a pretty common thing and I’m not talking teenagers… these 3 kids were 5 and under. We did tell the front desk but they did nothing about it.

The traffic kept us up. The room was very humid and uncomfortable.
