Nice place

Only complaint the hottub floor need a good clean out. Otherwise great stay!

Comfortable beds!

Relatively quiet. I liked the fact that the fridge was in its own little cubby next to the bathroom instead of out in the living room. This made it less noisy.

Everything was great bit the hot tub was barely warm.

Amazingly clean hotel!!! Staff was very friendly and helpful! They also offer shaving cream, toothpaste, toothbrushes if your forget one at home!

Great option for my family of five. We had plenty of space to spread out and the lobby area was a great place to meet up and socialize.

Most importantly for me is cleanliness and this facility is clean, which is why I gave stayed here multiple times. Check in is easy and the front desk staff is always great! Complimentary breakfast is so nice especially when traveling with children. Location is also great.

My family and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Duluth, MN located at 4725 Market street. The staff on the first night did not have much hospitality, very rude and racist in my opinion. Our room was late being cleaned so we were unable to check in on time, that’s is completely fine. But the way it was communicated was unexpected like we did something wrong. We had been driving from the cities so we were exhausted and the lady at the front desk was pretty rude about it when I asked they could be accommodating to let us check out late since we didn’t get to check in on time. The the man she was working with kept staring at my family as if he never seen people of color before. My boyfriend the next day asked a different check in guy the same thing and he was very accommodating and let us check out at 1200 pm. My family and travel frequently and we will NOT be staying at another Holiday Inn Express and we don’t recommend it to people of color at all! The breakfast was really good and the rooms were really clean and nice but that’s all.

I would recommend to anyone who is in the Hermentown area visiting

morning breakfeast on Saturday was good, but on Sunday the same options but everything was not warm or cooked completely through.

All Good Except...

Everything was great except the thin walls in the 5th floor. Never had this problem in other floors. Bring a sound machine.

We checked in about 30 minutes early. The front desk staff was professional and friendly. He greeted us with a warm smile and provided helpful information about the amenities. The lobby smelled amazing, and we were happy to find out the gym is open 24 hours! Our bathroom was spotless, and the room felt spacious. The hotel was quiet, which we really appreciated since we needed to catch up on sleep (we even noticed a quiet time sign in the hallway). It’s in a convenient location, and we enjoyed a great view of Miller Highway from our room.

I have no complaints, but a recommendation… they need to change the eggs they serve for breakfast, They don't look appetizing and they don't taste very good.

It doesn't have the pretty lake views, but it's in a safe area with Target nearby for last-minute needs. It was a pretty quick drive to anything we wanted to see and the hotel was clean. The pool was a little bit small. The staff were very friendly.

Good for the most part

Staff was friendly and helpful. We reserved a suite, but it really wasn’t a “suite”. We ended up having to book a second room. We were able to get a room directly across the hall from our other room, but we were not anticipating having to pay double the cost. The breakfast was good for free hotel breakfast, and our only real complaint was the room situation.

Highly recommend everything about the stay was great!

Lots of shopping nearby. Mostly though, the staff was excellent and the facility was better than some other HIE's I have stayed at recently.

First thing I do is check out the bathroom and I was pleasantly pleased at how clean it was! A very good start to my experience and it only got better. The beds were very comfortable, staff very friendly, very quiet and peaceful

Room, and common areas very clean. We had the continental breakfast our first morning there. Staff very conscientious about refilling food warmers and wiping down counters and tables.

Just wanted a quick getaway and the holiday inn made our vacation very enjoyable. Will definitely stay here again

Very clean and quiet hotel. Staff was super nice. One of the best hotels we stayed in while in Duluth. We stay in Duluth often and find the cleanliness of hotels has really gone downhill. This hotel was very clean and had extremely comfortable beds. Would definitely recommend.

Everything was great accept the soap dispenser fell off the wall in the middle of night scaring us. But otherwise was really good.

We are in Duluth almost monthly and this is a favorite place to stay. Comfortable beds, quiet rooms, great breakfast, good convenient area and such pleasant staff.

Very nice hotel with a hot breakfast. Only thing is they could have changed up what they served for hot breakfast. It was rhe same the 4 days we stayed.

The hot tub wasn't working, which really put a damper on things.

Amazing experience. Super clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Great service. Breakfast was delicious. Pool was great. Only bummer was that the hot tub was out of service during our stay. Would definitely stay again. Close to lots of shops and restaurants. Plenty of parking. Not too far out from Canal Pakr tourist area or main highway to north shore.

I enjoyed my stay

We were very pleased with the hotel. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was even nicer than I expected. The only negative was the room service. They knocked on our door at 9:00 each morning. We were still in the room. The first morning they asked us if we needed any towels which they gave us. They never came back during the day while we were gone which was strange. The second day I asked them to come back in an hour (after we were leaving.) They came, but didn't straighten out the beds, or refill the toilet paper. Just emptied garbage cans and gave us new towels. If we came back to Duluth in the future, I would stay there again, and just put the "do not disturb" sign on the door overnight, and take it off once we left for the day.

It was exactly what my wife, kids, and I needed the night before we went into the BWCA.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Clean and well kept. I stayed here because it was a quick trip and wanted to be close to the airport. Uber’s can be difficult so if I stayed here again I would rent a car, not walkable to most areas of attraction.

Very nice place to stay! Our room was right by the elevator and I was worried about noise as I am a light sleeper, but I slept through the night. Didn't hear anything!

This was a very nice hotel. The only issues that I had with it is 1) it was difficult to adjust the room temperature and 2) the front desk staff were not knowledgeable about the location of various locations in the city and also about road access issues. Do not assume people use GPS. Train your staff to be familiar with key/important locations in the area.

Great for Grandma’s Weekend

Amazing! Here for grandma’s marathon weekend. Made us feel as at home as possible while we were so far away. So happy with our stay.

My family and I stayed here overnight and couldn't have been more pleased. The hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. The desk staff was very polite and helpful and interacted well with my family. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area!

Great hotel!

It was our first time in Duluth and I’m glad we stayed here! Check-in was quick. Our room was clean. I appreciated the hooks and counter space for luggage. Our bed was comfortable and bathroom had a large shower with great water pressure. I didn’t use the pool or exercise equipment/room. Breakfast had a great variety and was always being refilled/cleaned. I recommend this hotel for stays in Duluth!

Slept great on the super comfy beds. The bathroom is really clean and great lighting.

It was a great hotel. Only suggestion is to make sure to run the fan in the room while sleeping otherwise you will hear the people above and next to you.

Big breakfast, broken hot tub

The hotel was very clean and updated. The 2 reasons we chose this hotel were because of the big breakfast and hot tub. Unfortunately the hot tub was broken and we would have chosen a less expensive hotel had we been made aware of this.

stay was very short due to late arrival and early flight the next morning, but was a nice spot and would go back again

We had wanted to stay at a place that had a hot tub and pool. We arrived to find out that the hot tub was down for repairs. When asked if there could be any discounts applied, the answer was no because i had booked through Expedia. We get to the room which was clean and looked nice. There was a loud buzzing type noise periodically throughout the night and next day. The 2nd night, there was a loud banging noise by the window, maybe outside? Was horrible, woke us up a couple of times. I doubt that my wife and i will be bach at this property.
