Not good not bad

Air condition was not working on my room so change for 3 times. Almost Staffs not speak english.

El servicio fue bueno y amable, pero es frustrante tratar de entender y que te entiendan, pues el personal difícilmente hablan ingles y mucho menos español. Recomiendo ir preparado con una app de traduccion. Las alfombras de la habitacion estaban manchadas, aparte de eso. Pues todo bien.

Cigarette smell wafts into non-smoking room

Cigarette smell waft in via the aircon when my room is a non-smoking room at a non-smoking level thanks to inconsiderate local tourists. Thankfully the room change helped.

It is in a good location if you have expo in century city hall. Nearby are many restaurants and shops.

Nice breakfast ever

Excellent in food on breakfast and lunch with lots of different konds of delicious tastes... I live to have the food~^^ In addition, convention center is very nearby this hotel~^^

First room was horrid, after that just seemed meh

In town for an expo at the Edna center expo hall so location was good and there were good restaurants near by. Breakfast buffet was decent. First room was horrid, had a strange smell that wouldn’t go away, the carpeting was loose and rippling with heavy staining but worst of all the AC would turn on but barely work and the room was very hot as it was 80+ degrees out. Finally got my room switched and the new room was comfortable and as should be expected. Ony thing in the gym worth using was free weights because the machines and exercise bikes were weird Chinese knockoffs that wouldnt work right, for example the stationary bikes pedals weee positioned under the seat in a strange way that meant you couldn’t sit on the seat normally because you had to bend your legs back behind you to peddle. Worse was that fact that they didn’t have AC working in the gym so it was uncomfortably hot and that they had a girl working in the “gym” who sat behind a podium watching you as you exercised. So in a hot echo room room with no music or sound Itried to exercise with this worker just staring at me, quite uncomfortable. Subway station very close by which would take you to the city center but if your here for leasiure stay in the city center as there’s plenty of reasonable accommodation there. It wasn’t terrible but for a small price increase I’d try the Intercontinental located on the other side of the expo center.

Hotel is great, Staff are Amazing and couldn’t help enough when the airport lost my luggage. Location is very good. Breakfast caters for every ethnicity, only small issue was the room was very warm. But the staff provided a cooler for the room.

Good room condition but a little noisy.

I visited thid hotel over 10 times for business trip. But i always felt that chincese people are too noisy. Room condition is good but a little noisy due to neighborhood. Breakfast is not bad, many kinds of chinee foods and western style and we ccould find Roll with rice. That was good for me.

Bad experience with booking through hotels.com

The hotel room condition looked pretty old. The smell wasn't pleasant in the rooms and toilet. There's no food service in rooms or menu that indicates there is such room service? A pity this is a 4-star hotel. Didn't feel like it. Also, I booked for a no smoking, king size bed room through Hotels.com, and the hotel received a reservation that indicated that it's up to the hotel to assign a room that's available to me. I got assigned a twin bed, smoking room. That was such a huge disappointment.

Nice hotel for business purposes

Very good experience. I went to a business convention in the New Century Exhibition Center and it was very close. 25 min to downtown by taxi.

Wonderful Time.

We have been to Chengdu many times but this had to be one of the most pleasant stays we had. Staff were extremely considerate, helpful and went out of their way to help us in anyway they could.

Communication problem btw Hotels.com & the hotel

Please be aware to book this hotel through Hotels.com if you are spending romantic time with your significant other since choosing bed and room type for your booking is ONLY for their reference and cannot be guaranteed at all when you check in. In other words, for ex, if finally the hotel can only provide 2 single beds and a smoking room for you while you book for a king-sized bed, non-smoking room. you can only take it and Hotels.com cannot do anything for this as they mention in the confirmation email saying that these conditions cannot be guaranteed (in little tiny letters). This is true from my own experience.

Had plenty of issues but overall not bad

Had several issues when checking in. First they put me in a room without wifi... apparently it was just out of the range of the repeater. They moved me to a non-smoking room that had obviously been smoked in... then they moved me into another room and the air conditioning system wasn't working in the room. Finally, they moved me to a room that was a downgrade, but the wifi worked and the air conditioning worked... so I just tolerated it. It was a downgrade from what I had booked, so one would think they'd have offered a free meal or drink vouchers or something, but they didn't. They just said sorry. So for 4 hours of room changes I got an apology. Overall the hotel isn't bad. It's a relative new property, and was a bit beat up given how newly renovated it was. I will say the breakfast was good though. The staff was nice except for the lack of responsiveness to the issues addressed earlier. The location is nice. It's not in the center of Chengdu, but rather in the new and upcoming Century City area which is nice.... super close to Global Center, etc. So for the location I gave a little better review than I would have otherwise. If I go back to Chengdu, I'll likely find a different hotel, as I don't want to risk having to gamble for a functional room like I did at this property. I always say it's not about problems, but how the staff reacts to them... and in this case they let me down in the way they handled their own shortcomings.

Good for meetings, not much else

I originally chose this hotel due to its close proximity to the Chengdu International Exhibition Center. While it is extremely convenient for that, there is not much else to do near there. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. English was a struggle at times, but that is pretty much everywhere in that area, not just the hotel. We were able to take a short walk to the subway station and take the tube into the city as well.

Great value for money, good food, good location

First up, the only minor problem is the shower door leaks a little so the bathroom is wet after a shower. Apart from that, the hotel is perfect. Good location, good restaurants, and convenient to subway. As a foreigner the only public transport is the subway and this hotel is walking distance to a station, which is perfect for both business and leisure.

Good location for attending conference

New Century Global Center is just across the street so it's great for anyone attending conference there. The room is clean but small by local standard. Front desk is very polite but took forever to check in. Breakfast offering is just average. All in all, it's an okay hotel at a decent rate.

Great food and services

The staff spoke fluent English and provided us great services. My room rate included free breakfast which offered wide range of food from appetizers to desset. All was absolutely delicious and fresh! I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

Brilliant for business, brilliant value

Food is excellent, breakfast and dinner, incredible variety to suit all tastes and great value. 138rmb for buffet breakfast, 160rmb for buffet dinner. Rooms are excellent, tastefully decorated and confortable. Employees are terrific, everyone was happy and engaging and quick to please. Ideal for business traveller, business rooms and desktops, printing etc. 20rmb per hour for desktop use (in other hotels, they've sought 60rmb for 30mins), so this hotel was brilliant value. Very flexible for late checkout for very late evening flights....I had no hassle in seeking this. Gym is good, most equipment youll need for the basics. Hotel located opposite Chengdu World Center and 30 minutes to the airport. No question I'd stay there again, a 3 Star price for a 4 Star experience, without question.

Superb Hotel

Absolutely Superb! Lovely hotel, great incoming lobby, service was incredible, thank you so much to all the staff who helped us in arranging all our excursions / trips, everybody went the extra mile!

Fix the aircon first

Good location during the Wines & Spirits fair but it was 27 degrees outside and even warmer inside: no aircon in the rooms except for the lobby and bar/restaurant. Actually the rooms are fine and comfortable but half of them were transformed into liquor boots which created an incredible mess in the elevators. It seems the other hotels of the same group were not much better. IHG should make up their mind: either you rent to guests or to liquor exhibitors......

Perfect for business traveller

I think this is all the luxury you need without going over the top (like having too many staff just standing around or excessively large lobby). The price is very reasonable and the food choice is good.

Holiday Inn Chengdu West Century City

I choiced this hotel because it closes to Chengdu airport but it still took about 30 min by driving in the very early morning of Saturday and should be longer time during the day due to traffic. The room was small and everything looks old and uncomfortable.

Generally the hotel is OK. The service is satisfactory. But the location of the hotel is a litle bit further from the city. No swimming pool is also a dissatisfaction. I have tried the buffet dinner and the food is fresh, wide variety, and up to standard.

Best Place to Stay in Chengdu

I had a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn Chengdu Century West. The staff was outstanding and I felt very comfortable.

Hotel was clean and service was good.

The hotel was clean and provided good service. However I would not recommend it to vacation travelers. The hotel is a convention site and can have many people. The location is about a half hour from downtown. So if you want convenience it is better to check in to a hotel in the downtown area.

Excellent hotel for the money

This hotel was very nice. Lobby areas were beautiful, rooms were nicely decorated. Service was excellent in every area. Restaurants were good and had a good mix of foods. Plenty of American food for the unadventurous traveler. Rooms were quite comfortable. Only drawback - it is about 30 minutes from any of the business or shopping districts. If you are a business traveler you are going to want to stay closer to the business district.

Just visit China at a bad timing during the outbreak of corona virus. Beside that, the hotel is totally good. I rent a car during the trip, the location of the hotel is close to the highway and enable easy access to both airport and high speed train station. Just a bit surprise for no free parking, not sure if it is normal since I don't have experience to stay in a hotel with car during my previous trips.

展示会に合わせて利用。建物自体は新しくは無いが、気持ちよく過ごせた。ビジネスユースには良い。

Room is large and clean, facilities are well equipped. Good locations with restaurants and convenient stores close by. Reasonable walk to subway station and parks.

禁煙部屋を頼んでおいたのに喫煙部屋になって残念でした。スタッフはあまり英語が喋れず、中国語できないとなかなか苦労しました。
