Always the best place to stay. 3rd year and love it!

Great location. Great staff at the front desk, maintenance, housekeeping, breakfast buffet and the beach club!

Terrible check-in. Staff was rude and dismissive. Paid for a room with a view of ocean and garden and got a room at the back of property with view of roofs and road. Bedding cover was dirty. Silver fish in room. Breakfast was cold 15 mins after service started. No lamps or side tables near bed or closet. Window wouldn’t even close and we had sent a very windy night with an involuntary breeze. Could have spent substantially less for a better place. Disappointed

I like the view, it’s is a little smaller but it was a good area nearby letter Holbox not so far.

We loved the staff. Javy, Berto, Seba, Rosanna and Leolel and everyone else. The food at the beach club is great. Excellent place to stay close to everything

Property is clean except for the beach area. Rooms could use some upgrading. The bathroom had mold on the wall and the shower head was clogged for the most part. Walk out the front entrance and there's standing water with trash everywhere. The staff was more than helpful with the exception of a few from the beach bar.

Accesible to Downtown walking distante even the sidewalk were not the greatest . Hotel has a nice beach and pool and great buffet breakfast. Friendly staff and helpful.

The service was exceptional. Alberto was very accommodating as we’re others we didn’t get their names. Unfortunately we came right after the hurricane so it was hard to see the beauty of the town and the water. We will have to come back in May.

Our flight got cancelled due to the global outage last Friday. This was totally out of our hands and the hotel Holbox Dream Beach did not allow a cancellation or a change of dates. This was a unique situation and we would have liked to be taken into consideration. We were really disappointed with their response.

Really nice staff and comfortable hotel.

Great staff, hotel very comfortable. Just know that if you have kids there’s no tv in room… which is not a big deal in a place like that. The only thing I wish was different was the pool hours they close the pool at 6:30 pm, I wish was later. Also.. if you have kids the business next door gets very loud at night. The hotel is very kind and provides ear plugs but is good to know in case you have a kid sensitive to noise.

It was hard to get to the hotel for the flooding streets.

I loved the resort. Staff are super friendly and hospitable. The only thing is clarify if there is a hurricane or storm, becaue it did not pop out on my weather. Thabk god it all worked out because the island was out of power but they managed to bring it back in short time. Also the front beach on other resorts were all destroyed from the storm. Luckily we had it all setup in no time. Food was great, drinks, and the staff were amazing. I will definitely go back

Everything was perfect. From the check-in to the check-out. Super friendly staff, very attentive. The location is perfect, very close to the center but still very private. The food from their restaurant is very delicious. Will definitely book here again!

We loved thid resort, the reason we are giving it 5 star was the staff, absolutely top notch service. The resort is cozy, clean and comfotable. The beach in front waa one of the best. We want to thank Javi, Roxana, and Max for everything, they made our stay amazing.

Perfect Spot on Holbox

Hotel was perfectly situated on the beach and only a couple of minutes walk from the main strip, with bars and restaurants galore. Staff we encountered were all excellent. We ate breakfast at the hotel which was delicious each day. Loved watching the racoon family on their patrol at night. In room storage space could have been slightly better, but you don't need that many clothes as Holbox is the perfect barefoot location.

Beautiful location and perfect service only one issue techno music from nearby location until 3:30 every night It's not unbearable but you can hear it may want to bring earplugs.

I enjoy this hotel because it is oceanfront and it is clean. We love that it included breakfast. The staff was friendly and always willing to help.

It's a great hotel. Well located and with very good service. The only thing I didn't like was the muddy road to acces it by foot, but that is not their fault.

Too many uncontrolled children between 5 and 10 having fun, screaming, running around, bumping into us, disturbing conversations. The chef's dishes were not enticing or interesting. We only ate at the hotel twice over our 2 week stay. Breakfast buffet was descent though.

I love my stay

Our first time to Holbox Dream and first time to Isla Holbox! We loved the central location of the hotel and the very friendly staff. Hotel is right on the beach with great food and beverage options directly from your lounger. Hotel is also very close(walkable) to many great restaurants and shops. Very relaxing, clean and comfortable hotel.

The hotel was amazing! The staff were super friendly, when you needed something they got it right away. We arrived early and they accommodated us immediately knowing that the trip to get to Holbox is a long one. Breakfast was good, they had warm food not just continental that always so boring. We spent our days at the beach club since it was so convenient and we could watch the sunsets from our beach chairs. The food there was also very good, if you wanted something else the town center was just 5 mins walk and you would find so many options. If you needed transportation or wanted to go on tours they provided with pick up at the hotel as well. Don’t think about it too much as you will love it here.

The location is walking distance to the plaza. The breakfast buffet was very good and had several options everyday. We had a great stay and will return.

This was our 2nd time visiting this hotel. We really enjoyed our stay. It’s in a great location. The room was clean and the staff at the front desk was very friendly. The breakfast was much better than the last time we visited. They added more options. The only thing that would make it better is having access to enjoying breakfast in the beach area with a view. Several other hotels on the beach offer this. The location of the hotel is convenient and close to the centro. There are a limited number of sun beds available, so you need to get out early to snag one. The hotel has a fun boho vibe and is quiet at night. We hope to stay again here in the future. Can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful place to be

our room was quiet, spacious, and private with a lovely personal deck featuring a jacuzzi hot tub. the beach area directly in front of the hotel is small, with a lovely bar/restaurant, "serenity." there are two small swimming pools. the staff were, without exception, very friendly and helpful, and kind to our two year old daughter.

This is good value for money and the staff were great. Comfy bed. Pack light, not much room to put any clothes you will be living out your suitcase. Breakfast we didn’t care for, but found some good restaurants near by for lovely breakfast.

Very well kept property on a lovely beach. Staff were so great. Roxana and Javi at the beach club were so amazing and attentive and took great care of us. Walking distance to everything but far enough from the beach bar district to be quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend.

The hotel was outdated, the food was low quality and the streets around the hotel were flooded! It was hard to walk downtown due to the poor conditions of the sand streets.

The property was in good condition and the reception staff very polite, goofy personality very humorous. The bar at night also enjoyable, the waitress last night gave us a good option of drinks. She was very direct with the menu options good recommendations of the beverage menu. Gisbel with baileys, Las coloradas and carajillo which it was a coffee with liquor 43. Very nice.

BEWARE- The whole town was flooded and not safe to be in the streets. I left in 18!hours There was two feet of water everywhere and it was impossible to leave the hotel without a deep-water 4x4 vehicle. The hotel new of the situation in advance, but did not notify me that their building was unusable, and they would not refund my money since the electricity was on at the moment I’ve disputed all charges with american express They will receive zero$ BEWARE!!!

Very nice location right at the beach

The bed sheets had yellow spot stains and there was a lot of dirt/dust under the beds. The towels where also stained but staff was very nice and friendly

My new destination in the Yucatán- Food beyond excellent quality -hats off to the chef. Manager very attentive- staff great- special shout out to Alberto & Rambo.The design of rooms and facility excellent. Felt welcomed the minute I stepped out of the cab. Holbox definitely a special place with great vibe.

Property was located on a muddy road although Holbox is nothing but muddy pothole ridden roads. We booked a “pool view” room - yeah, sure. Door to room had one lock which could be easily picked- unsafe. Small beach area. Horrible service and quality of food at on site “restaurant.” We had one drink, some tasteless guacamole, and decided we couldn’t stay for two nights here. Grabbed our luggage from our rooms and left to find another hotel. Our rooms were prepaid unrefundable so we are the process of trying to get our money back- a horrible uncomfortable situation.

The resort's front desk reception are not welcoming or polite. The food at the breakfast buffet is just ok. The drinks were good. We spent a day without power for at least 4 hours, which is not ok. As soon as you walk outside the resort, it is dirty, trashy everywhere. Our bedsheets were never once changed and we were there for 6 days....ewhh! More than once we had to ask for clean towels. The cleaning crew is very loud, they yell at each other across the hallways and such.

Good and clean property. The only downside to it, whenever it rains the whole island gets flooded and it makes it hard to be able to walk around. However the hotel itself it was very nice and clean. Very friendly staff.

Great staff make the difference

We had a great time, the hotel staff is amazing, they go the extra mile to make sure you’re 100% satisfied.

Pros: excellent beach and sunsets, convenient and quick walk to town, friendly and accommodating staff, room was clean and cute, wifi worked well all week, and massages were good. Cons: mosquitos are horrendous (bring the strongest bug spray you can find plus Benadryl), rooms are missing some basic amenities like hand towels and wash clothes, bedside table lighting (either have brightly lit room or complete darkness - not ideal for reading at night), and hotel locks for added safety. Beach beds could use a good deep cleaning and there aren’t enough to accommodate all guests - get out there early. The biggest negative for me was the food. It was extremely overpriced (plus aggressive tipping expectations) and there wasn’t one thing I ate all week that I truly enjoyed.

We love all the staff! Wonderful people! Very nice and helpful! We will be back!

Mexico road trip

I haven't got enough good things to say about this beautiful zen hotel..from beautiful sunsets to the wonderful staff.The food was great im obsessed with the Beach Bowl Salad and you must have a mango rose from a local beach vender,soo good .The deep massage was worth every dollar best massage we have ever had!! We definitely recommend this hotel and hope we can make it back some time again .Holbox is an unique island with a unique vibe!!! We were blessed to swim with a whale shark as well,which only added to our fabulous vacation..we stayed 3 nights which we found was a perfect amount of time.

Very nice hotel, great front beach location, food was delicious, specially the octopus tacos. Staff was friendly and helpful, makes sure you bring bug spray bc mosquitoes are something. Taxi from the ferry was $100 pesos one way, very affordable. Breakfast was ok staff very friendly overall good experience we would definitely come back and recommend to stay at the Dreams hotel

Very lovely hotel

Our stay was great and we hope to return again. The service was excellent and the hotel was very nice.

All good except....

The only problem I saw and smelled was the issue with throwing soiled toilet paper in an open basket. It looked like the bag on the basket was not changed from the day before and was utterly stinky. This issue is so anti hygienic that I don't understand why new buildings are not design and forced to use the same code as other countries in the world in toilets.
