Located in old town Veliko Tarnovo in a historic building.

Comfortable hotel in a converted revival house built into the side of the hill, so be ready for stairs. Only interacted with the staff via expedia messaging and whatsapp due to our late arrival, but they were very helpful. No breakfast offered, but you can bring your own food, a bit like a hostel. Room was clean with nice bathroom and good AC. Parking was easy enough on street. Walking distance to Tsaravets.

This is a beautiful place to stay! It's a great location and a wonderful old building. The rooms are charming with all the thoughtful little touches you could want, and the views of the river are so nice. We also appreciated the smooth process of checking in after hours with friendly and helpful communication all throughout. I hope to come back for a longer visit one day.

We stayed at the History Inn for a week and found it to be very satisfying. Although parking isnt easy the accomodation itself was beautiful with breathtaking views of the city and very friendly staff. Will definaltey stay again and highly recommend

This guest house is in an excellent location to get around Veliko Tarnovo The room/ bed was very comfortable. A little confusion checking in due to my traveling but once I figured it out easy. 2 spots in front to park but enough room across the narrow street. Mgmt/staff very friendly and helpful but not there all the time. I liked the garden area in the rear. I was able to listen to music from the plaza across the ravine while sipping on my rakia and snacking with white cheese. I will definitely try to book here again on my next visit to Tarnovo.

Overall, it was a great stay! I was very impressed with the Inn itself, and with the way everything was restored. The room was very clean. Special mention to Kata at the front desk! I actually thought she was the owner with the amount of care and pride she took in welcoming me, serving me, and providing excellent advice and recommendations. My only complaint is that the bed was not too comfortable, but this seems to be a problem throughout most of Europe. The location is excellent being close to the Tsarevets and Trapezitsa fortresses, the Asenevtsi monument and also being right in the middle of the old town and close to the new town. Amazing price! Hands-down, the best value in Veliko Tarnovo!

Great hotel but beware noise from communal kitchen

We stayed for two nights, the hotel room was great and the after hours (6pm) check in was straightforward. Sadly there was a large group of guests in the communal kitchen partying until after 1pm. We were unable to sleep and made three separate requests asking for them to be quiet. The second night (Sunday) was much quieter. I would recommend that the hotel closes the communal kitchen after 10pm to ensure guests receive a proper night's sleep. What should have been a great experience was ruined - this small hotel has so much potential otherwise.

Very friendly owner. Good facilities. There is a railway below the property but it did not bother us. Ask about massages when booking. Were told there is a guest kitchen but we did not use it. Parking was easy which is a huge bonus in this medieval town.

Very old inn with smells. You can hear noises from upstairs. If you like the old inn, it would be fine, but not comfortable.

I was nervous about booking this hotel because it was so cheap. I didn't think it would be very nice with that price. I decided to book it since I was just a mile away. I was surprised how nice it was. Very comfortable. I loved the open shower. I barely heard the train once right before I went to sleep but didn't hear anything after that.

Incredible value and location

Guest house has a fascinating local history... you can see where the hero hid out in a trap door in the kitchen. We had a great time having drinks overlooking the small vineyard on their patio. It can be a little loud with the tunnel/highway/trains so close, but the location is still amazing and atmospheric. The bathroom has an open layout ... no separate shower, it just drains into the floor - but it works! They had very nice eco/organic bathroom toiletries.

Excellent experience ! Great location in the Old City, very friendly staff, clean and well maintained rooms and space, realistic photos ! The small cute hotel is build into an old style traditional house and has kept the original feeling inherited from the old times and as a plus it's well combined with the modern finish. Back in the old times the remarkable leader of the Bulgarian revolution Vasil Levski has found asylum in this house :))) Highly recommended !!!

Everything was perfect. Staff was very helpful, the room was clean and spacious. It was a little bit noisy, because of trains, not far. But it was not too loud. The place is perfectly located right at the centrum.

The hotel is located in the old part of Veliko Tărnovo.I found street parking across the street from the hotel.The ladies who met me on arrival were very pleasant and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable,clean and well maintained.Previous guest comments referred to there being a problem with noise-I experienced no noise from other guests at all.I recommend this hotel.The price was also very cheap.

Location of the hotel is probably the best. Room is very nice and spacious. Nice and quaint restaurant for breakfast.

What a nightmare

I have never been to such a noisy hotel. I am currently sitting in the bathroom at 3.42am as this is the quietest place. The bed is like granite and the room above us has no soundproofing whatsoever and the occupants are currently walking round, moving furniture, closing doors etc. We were woken at 1am by about 10 teenagers shouting in the dining room across from our room whi only shut up when my partner went out and shouted at them. The first 3 nights had the same issues with the room above but luckily only till 2am. As a result this afternoon we cut short our day in the hope of getting some sleep while everyone was out only to find there was work being done and the trades men were playing music so loud we could hear it through the double glazing. We didnt see any staff until Thursday even though we arrived on Tuesday. Our room wasnt cleaned for 3 days. I had to hunt someone down to get toilet roll and to get a coffee I had to find a really sour faced woman whi guarded the coffee pods like they are the Vatican secret archives. At this point I think I am going to sleep in the car as 2 hours broken sleep is better than none. I would like a full refund and cancellation and refund of the booking I have made for this hotel in June.

Liked: + Room with view + Terrace with view + Location Didn't Like: - Breakfast - Service - wanted to buy wine but staff didn't know procedure for purchase. Staff - leaves after 6pm, so no one is on the premises.

就是很一般的老房子

這是老城裡的一間老房子，若你喜歡體驗老房子，是不錯的選擇，否則住起來是不舒服的，很普通的設備，房屋地板是木頭的，你可以聽到樓上講話及走路聲。另外，停車是停在房屋前面，路的兩旁，前往旅館的道路很窄，又是坡道，又是髮夾彎。但位置近中心確實是很大的優點。

Maison d'hôtes située dans une rue typique. Accueil agréable. Chambre confortable (literie moyenne) et équipée d'un frigo, produits de toilette artisanaux. La décoration est typique. Présence d'une cuisine commune au sous-sol et d'une magnifique terrasse. On peut se garer juste devant mais attention les rues sont étroites.

Superbe guest house dans une ancienne maison bulgare. Aucun regret, nous y reviendrons! Accueil au top

Fantastisk fint sted i nydelige omgivelser. Alt gikk kjapt og fint med innsjekk og utsjekk, og hotellet er kort vei unna alt du trenger å gjøre og se. Rent, god service og superb utsikt!

Très bon choix pour tout visiter à pied.

Hôtel très bien situé pour aller visiter à pied la forteresse et les vieilles ruelles. Personnel très sympathique. Il y a une salle commune avec évier, four, micro-ondes, bouilloire, grille-pain et toute la vaisselle nécessaire. Dans la chambre nous avions un petit réfrigérateur. Chambre très bien chauffée (nous étions en janvier). Les moins : Quelques trains passent un peu tard sur le pont pas très loin. Parking dans la ruelle devant l'hôtel, un peu serré, ne venez pas en camping-car ! L'été les places doivent être difficiles à trouver.

J'ai reçu un accueil très chaleureux dans ce bel établissement très bien situé auquel il ne manque que la possibilité de déjeuner (c'est dommage il y a une très belle terrasse qui donne sur la rivière).

Petit hôtel dans une ancienne maison 18ème restaurée du vieux Tarnavo, bien placé, bien tenu, agréable. La salle d'eau est neuve mais petite, avec douche sans paroi. Bon accueil.

Personnel très sympathique dynamique petit déjeuner inclus mais ridiculement chiche.malgre des travaux et train passant sous les fenêtres la ville est globalement sale et pleine de travaux mais cette hôtel est très bien tenue
