Nice modern hotel, half board is really good and different choice for dinner every night.

The property is new, very good but very busy. The areas around hotel, is for younger Europeans not British. Not suited to older people

My AC would not work even though I followed all of the instructions from the very rude front desk. The room had no coffee or a mini bar as was advertised. The bar stuff was not knowledgeable about common cocktails. The bathroom was also not fully stocked. The only positive was the comfortable bed and the helpful overnight concierge. It was far too expensive to feel so uncomfortable and be treated poorly.

Great hotel a block from the beach. They offer a great breakfast and dinner buffet. The room we stayed had a view of the 2 swimming pools and partial ocean view.

Everything about the hotel was 1st class. From the staff on reception, polite and helpful. To the cleanliness of our room, choice of food both in the morning and at dinner and the feel of security within the hotel. Will be back.

Lovely spacious rooms, always enjoy our stay. The staff are very polite and nothing is too much trouble. Will be returning again, our 11th visit as it’s got all that we need on our cycling holidays.

Hotel was big and clean but impossible to sleep. No noise isolation in room, cleaning start early and we couldn’t sleep. We didn’t find the basic of 4 stars hotel in room ‘No tissue paper’ we told us to use the toilet paper.

Feels like an 4 star hotel which is in the edge of bankruptcy. We went to the hotel a bit early but there was no ready rooms which was expected. We were told that room could be ready in half an hour and we waited. But it ended up waiting 3 hours in the lobby. Room provides nothing than cleanliness. There were no slipper, personalized soap, cofee/tea machines or any other additional small consumables which is a standard for 4 star hotel. They told us that for early check outs there is a breakfast buffet. We didnt buy anything with believing to their statements. It ended up with tea/ coffee and a 2 mini sandwichws all not suitable for vegeterians. Not worth its money.

Don't stay here or in this area. Flew in from Canada, after 16 hours flight, the AC Does not work!! The hotel lied to us and said they will get a technician to fix it and for 2 days no one could get it to work. Finally, one staff told us there is a regulation in Spain that customer cannot use the AC thermostat and they control it. I almost had a heat stroke, it was uncomfortably hot and stuffy. AC did not work, we checked out 2 days early and got out of there. The hotel staff is unfriendly and no customer service skills, they did not refund us for our 2 nights $700/night and lied that AC was working. The entrance lobby has FULL air condition but everywhere else there is supposedly a regulation. Good way to fool customers. We tried to choose luxury but this is not. Area is full of drunkies and loud. Breakfast was good but exactly at 1030am they turned off the lights in the restaurant while we are eating, WHO does that in a luxury hotel? If we are paying $700 / night then we are not beggars for food! Just need some relaxation while eating, not turning off lights and machines. It's just a massive hotel with a nice pool but nothing beyond that!

Great hotel close to Arenal beach. But the area was a bit shady and polluted by drunk groups of people.

Air conditioning only works if they're motion in the room, which gets hot once you leave. It is also loud.

This hotel is perfect for family vacations. Quiet and safe .

Facility was clean and friendly. Easy to stay there, breakfast was great. The only thing I didn’t love was the distance to the town and to other dining options. $20 min taxi each way to anywhere off property.

We got free parking due to Expedia including free electric car charging Loved the environment, the pool area. Breakfast was rich and delicious

Beach side resort

At first we were put off by the lack of art and design of the hotel inside, but all of the action is really at the beach, and this is a great beachside hotel. The junior suite was missing a lot of the boutique flare you find in suites around the world. But the breakfast, and dinner buffet was a 10 out of 10. There was even a free entertainment show downstairs most nights The staff and leadership are extremely responsive to any needs we had. The spa and sauna was great. Since we were there for the beach, food and rest it was a great place which we would recommend.

Nice hotel but not customer friendly

The hotel is great however their management is not. Had a wonderful stay but we had to check out early. I was assured that we can get refund of our unused stay, however, when followed up via Hotels.ca, they refused to refund the money.

Certainly would not hesitate in recommending.

My wife and I stayed at Hipotels Gran Playa de Palma hotel/resort for several days and it was beautiful. Our room was quite large with a large balcony from which we could watch the sunset each night. The hotel is one short block from the sands of Playa Palma beach, which was gorgeous. The beach boardwalk there is several miles long (it would take a couple of hours to walk all the way to downtown Palma) so we could easily get in our 10,000 steps without running out of beach/boardwalk. The pool area is quite large and well-supplied with lounges. Overall, the hotel is a very good deal financially, well-located, has great amenities, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

Beach is only a few steps away and lots of bars/restaurants close by. Great staff, the pool at the hotel is awesome and breakfast is really good. The room is huge even for a standard room with balcony. Plenty of parking at the hotel. Only couple of things to nitpick about the hotel is anywhere outside your room smell like sweat/cleaning detergent mix and for a 4 star hotel, a couple more things can be provided in the room like slippers/body wash/shampoo/toothpaste/etc, I always bring but for the travelers that don’t, it’ll be nice. Also when I looked at this property, one of amenities listed was 18 hole golf which has been taken off the list because there is no golf course at the property which I thought there would be.

It would have been nice if there were more lunch options. Trying to get an elevator at certain times of the day could be aggravating. Otherwise, an awesome place to stay!

Very clean, friendly and professional staff, 2 min walk from the beach. The breakfast and dinner eere amazing, so many food choices, it’s really value for money. I strongly recommend this hotel for a lovely holiday.

Pools were amazing. Temperature was not too cold and you could be in them all. Bonus was that they were salt water pools

Modern property, very clean. Lovely pools; water was surprisingly warm. Nice beach nearby. Generally poor quality food at breakfast and dinner. Sickeningly sweet desserts. Awful pizza. Staff in restaurant were not very friendly and some were a bit rough. Surrounding area was a bit rough and on 2 occasions guys were passed out on the street in the day.

Amazing Hotel

We're to start! Amazing Hotel in a prime location. This hotel is beautiful and offers so much. The food is delicious, highly recommend purchasing breakfast and dinner. The outside and inside pools are fantastic, as is the spa area. Great downstairs bar. Bus stop in the back of hotel. You can take the bus to Old Towne/Cathedral for 2€ per person bus 25. Airport bus A2 can go to the bus stop in the back of the hotel and scan app for times 5€ per person. Note few things on the hotel from previous reviews that are correct. Rooms are not sound proof, by the bed is a panel for room temperature control and do not disturb or clean room, lock items up in safe. Cons: dinner you have to purchase beverages including water.

Property was clean and their food was nice. However, when rooms were cleaned, I noticed the sheets were never changed throughout my four days stay. Also, although I paid for half board, I still had to purchase drinks at dinner. They also don’t tell you the water and coke in the minibar are not complimentary. You gotta pay!

This is a fantastic hotel. Bus stop adjacent takes you to the center of Palma in 15 minutes. This only criticism I could have is that the whirlpool was not hot enough! Highly recommended.

Feb break

Hotel was excellent, we had a sea view room on the fourth floor and it had the sun on the balcony from 10.30 until sunset. Facilities in the hotel were excellent, we used the indoor pool, spa area and gym and all very good. We only had breakfast but the choice and quality of food was fantastic. Location also excellent, with easy access to the beachfront and the walkway/cycle path which takes you into Palma. Another bonus was the bus stop right outside of the rear gate of the hotel. Bus took us into Palma for 2 Euros per person.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Comfortable room, clean and quiet. Hotel facilities were good and the kids enjoyed the large pool area. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were friendly.

Fabulous

We loved our stay at Gran Playa de Palma, this was our second visit and we enjoyed it so much that we are already planning on going back for a third time. The hotel is in a great location just 10 minutes from the airport. We also got our room upgraded - can't compliment this hotel any more! Love it!

Excellent Hotel on the German side of the island

The hotel has a great location, it’s a few steps from the beach and 1 miles away from the freeway. The Hotel is clean modern and the pools are well maintained. I didn’t like the towels pools policy….. overall I will stay again at this hotel. I didn’t have the chance of getting inside the spa facility, but I believe that the standard is great as well.

Food was excellent. However it was lacking in many things you would expect from 4 star hotel. For example, there is no kettle or glasses in the room. When asked they just said no room service. No sandals provided. You cannot use a safe or use pool towels unless you pay extra.

This hotel is amazing, the breakfast is out of this world and there are no words to describe the spa, but as a start it was stunning and the sauna, was spacious enough for 6 people to lie down in....

Quick stay - very convenient

BA cancelled flights so arrived at 5am, receptionist very welcoming, room was quiet, clean, air conditioning worked well and great breakfast.

The Hotel offer superb facilities and Excellent Services

The good: The hotel was fabulous. Can’t fault it. Super clean everywhere, very comfortable beds, excellent friendly staff, wonderful food with no problem catering for my gluten free requirements. Wheelchair access was no problem. Great swimming pool with lots of sun beds. Ten minutes from the airport. The bad: The area that it’s in! I went to Mallorca but I feel like I have been to Germany! All the shops, cafes and bars had German names. We were greeted in German. The beach was heaving with German people (aged approx 30-60) drinking and partying all day. I have nothing against German people, just disappointed to have been to a Spanish island and the area was not Spanish at all. So in summary, I would definitely recommend the hotel itself but personally would not recommend the area.

Not very child friendly. Indoor pool had mold on walls. No towels or water or employee working at fitness center. 15 euro deposit for the beach towels. Nice shower in the room. No food available between 4pm and dinner. Not much to do at night within the hotel property. Good location to lots of bars and restaurants.

Wow, simply wow. We booked 10 days with breakfast and if we knew how good the food was, we would of booked for evening meal too. What a fantastic hotel, staff we helpful and tried their best to assist in any problem. Hotel itself was clean, rooms were lovely and the gardens and pools were kept in pristine condition. And the breakfast, well, there was so much choice that you didn't know what to have. It was all cooked superbly and some of it cooked just for how you liked. Oh and having cava with your breakfast, haha, certainly made me feel like I was on holiday. I will be going back to one of the Hipotels in the near future if this is what the chain is like. We were close to a big German nightclub but never heard any noises late at night, so I guess the walls in the room are thick and the balcony glass door is triple glazed. Anyone who finds fault with this hotel must just like to moan, as it's as perfect as you can find.

Fantastic hotel in a "german" town

Fantastic hotel with clean, modern, spacious rooms and nice balcony to enjoy in the evening. Great restaurant, spa, gym and other facilities. Swimming pool could be a bit boring if you like some depth, but in the evening it looks magical. Overall I'm very happy with the hotel itself. Only problem I had was that it's located right in the rowdy part of town filled with crowds of young Germans starting their binge-drinking right in the morning. It's not an issue if you're OK to walk for a bit to go to a calmer places. Would highly recommend bike rental - so you could ride around the beach walk and explore the area.

Great hotel - highly recommend

The hotel in itself was great to be honest. Room was fantastic and the view was brilliant! Downside is that the TV has only news channel and nothing else. But the bed, the room, the environment was all very good. The service from the reception was not great. They weren’t very friendly and when My room wasn’t cleaned one day, they didn’t even apologise.

The charge for hire of the towels at 15 euros was too high. People would put their towels on the sunbeds really early so by the time we went to the pool after breakfast there would hardly be any avaiable. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room as standard would have been appreciated

5-star experience!

The overall standard is so high I couldn't believe it wasn't a 5-star resort! The service is great, the meals are amazing, the hotel in general is very well kept. The local area can be a bit off-putting to those that seek peace and quiet - it is a party area with loads of young German tourists.

Liked the modern look and feel of the hotel. Majority of staff were friendly. We had an incident with two particular members of staff who entered our room while the do not disturb sign was on. The hotel also does not provide any room service which is misrepresented on Expedia's website. Far too many drunk tourists within the local area, would not recommend location for a young family.

신혼여행으로 잘 머무르다 갑니다. 신혼여행이라고 하니 방이 업그레이드 되었어요!!! 아침식사는 너무너무 맛있어요. 매일 여기서 아침식사하고 싶어요! 수영장 및 바다뷰도 좋습니다. 실내 수영장도 있어서 조금 더 따뜻한 곳에서 수영을 하고 싶다면 실내 수영장에서 하면 됩니다. 이 호텔은 안락하고 편안합니다.^^

Schon 7 mal hier gewesen. Allerdings zu Zeiten, an denen der Mega-Park geschlossen war. Bei offenem Megapark darauf achten, dass die Zimmer Poolblick haben, ansonsten kann es nachts laut werden

Super Hotel mit allem was man braucht und gutem Essen . Ganz großes minus das Hotel hat leider den Zugang vom Pool zum Strand zubetoniert was eigentlich für uns immer eins der Vorteile war da man kurze Wege hatte jetzt muss man viel weiter laufen um an den Strand und zurück zukommen … daher kann man dadurch auch andere Hotels buchen

Ich war bereits zum zweiten Mal hier und würde wieder hinkommen. Das Hotel hat ein schönes Ambiente und hier fühlt man sich wohl. Das Personal ist freundlich und die Zimmer schön groß. Selbst die günstigeren Zimmer sind ausreichend - wenn man keine tolle Aussicht braucht.
