For the rates they charge,check out at 10 am is unacceptable. And they mean 10am pronto. We had a knock at the door at 955 basically telling us to leave. The place is geared to families buying groceries elsewhere and cooking in the room. Their cafe was dirty, dark and thoroughly unpleasant. 2 bagels (all heated in microwave)and 2 coffees and we waited 30 minutes before asking where were the bagels. The server said "why? Are you in some kind of a hurry? And it ended up costing 40 bucks. Come on Hilton..you must be able to do better than this.

Excellent location and amazing private beach. This was a hidden gem for access across all of St. Maarten.

Great place. Service was not great. Ro Was half ready. We got it after hours and lots of things were missing….this being said, location is great. Hotel is very nice.

Favorite Spot

Our favorite place to stay on St. Marteen. We have been coming here for years and it never disappoints.

We enjoyed our stay. We made use of the dining options around us, the small grocery store nearby, combed the beach for sea glass, shells, and coral, swam and enjoyed our patio. It was easy to get a chair on the beach and there were two beach areas plus the pool and grilling area. We didn’t rent a car and used taxis to get around; the hotel staff made it easy and ordered the cabs for us. Our room had dishwashing pods and laundry detergent; it was like staying at an apartment on the beach. We would happily stay here again!

Property is beautifully kept, well secured, friendly and knowledgeable staff. We stayed in building 7, ocean front studio. Large room and bathroom, less than 5 steps from room to beach. Close to the restaurant, less than 3 minute walk to front desk and pool area. Although hotel is conveniently located to local clubs/bars/restaurants/other beaches 10-20 minutes walk. Dislikes: The hotel itself didn’t offer entertainment. Restaurant/bar closed in the early evening. I would not recommend if looking for party/ under 40 crowd. No housekeeping unless requested 24 hours before. 6 days no service but they did bring towels. Breakfast was included, not buffet but limited hot breakfast menu. Dexter provided amazing service and very accommodating every morning. Relaxation vacation this is your go to stay!

We rented a two bedroom unit (really two one bedroom units connected by a short hallway) with our 21 year-old triplets. It was a perfect setup for us. My wife and I took one unit, and our kids took the other. The resort is in a very convenient location- also very well-maintained. There are a number of restaurants and bars within walking distance, which our kids really liked because they could go out without waiting for us to drive them somewhere. There is a small grocery store about 100 yards from the resort that was pretty reasonably priced, considering that it is in a resort area. There is a large grocery store about a ten minute walk down the road. We rented a car for the week but, when we go back, we will probably rent one for only a few days, so that we can go over to the French side of the island for some dinners. A few food recommendations -- Juliette's Bistro, right near the resort, has pretty good pizza (large pie -- $15) but dinner there was not good; the beach bar at the resort has good, reasonably priced breakfast and lunch; Buccaneer Beach Bar has all you can eat bbq chicken and ribs for $12.95 and $3 beers on Monday and Tuesday nights (order the chicken and ribs "dry" with sauce on the side); the grocery store on the main road has a salad bar with good, reasonably priced hot food for lunch. Expensive restaurants - Palapa at Oasis (walking distance) & has very good food and a cool "Miami vibe"; Bamboo House (short drive) has great views and good food.

The property was beautifully located with gorgeous views. The roads leading up to the property were is terrible condition.

good location, appealing swimming pool area, nearby convenience market, near Aquamarine that has boat trips (less expensive than what is offered at Hilton). In January the snorkeling is disappointing because water was rougher than when we've come during the summer. I'd have to say that the food was mediocre, but some good restaurants nearby in Simpson Bay. Overall, a great experience.

Four nights stay at this property. Our room was a studio apartment with an oceanfront view from the second floor. Gorgeous room with a kitchen with full size appliances. I took a star off because your room is not clean unless you request 24 hours in advance for cleaning. We found out on the last day of our stay. I think this policy is for Hilton property. I stayed at a Sandal property last year and the room was clean every day unless you requested not too. Over all I would definitely visit this property again. Also this property is definitely a time share property. Most people we talked have a long history of over 22 years.

This was my third time staying at the Hilton Flamingo in Simpson’s Bay. We absolutely love this resort. Everything anyone would need is practically on site. The staff are amazing. Special shout out to Kim and Kenica. I always received a “ Good Morning “ or a greeting from every staff member. All staff doing an amazing job in their respective roles. Great work. We will be returning for a 4th time. Look forward to seeing many familiar faces.

All around experience

This place was paradise in every way. Great ocean swimming too.

The hotel was excellent, besides the problem we encountered while checking in. We were told that the hotel can't find our reservation. We were not sure until now whether it was expedia's problem or hotel's problem. We booked our trip more than 6 months ago, everything was paid in full. We spent more than an hour to verify our booking at the hotel front desk, thank goodness that we went the old school way to print out documents before arrival, otherwise it would be more devastating since we were in a foreign country! The hotel finally found us a room, with an upgrade too. We were able to go on our vacation afterwards. We had been booking all our vacations worldwide via expedia, have never had problems like this before so please be cautious and bring your prove with you for sure.

We had a good stay at this hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable, providing everything we needed. The staff were polite and helpful, ensuring we felt welcome.

The view from the room is great! You could lay down and watch the waves. Staff were super helpful!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were there for Christmas and the staff went above and beyond making it fun for all the guests. The room was very comfortable and the balcony offered an amazing view of the ocean.

I stayed six nights in December! I loved this hotel ! The room was beautiful, very clean with a full kitchen , large balcony. We had a sea view which was amazing. The beach area was great , loved the pelican restaurant and bar. However ate at several other restaurants in the area. Loved the pool area and grounds. Sunsets were amazing. I would highly recommend!

Staff was amazing, from check in to the lovely bartender. It was busy and we could not find a chair at the beach but it was peak season. For the price, I think this property offers great value.

Gorgeous ocean views, private beach, excellent amenities, clean and comfortable property! Staff was friendly, attentive and full of hospitality! Highly recommend the entire property and especially building 6 with the amazing views from the oceanfront balcony suites. Definitely coming back again!!!!

Loved my stay here staff was phenomenal, location was amazing close walking distance to the grocery store, casino and beach. Beautiful resort and location with well kept grounds. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay! Thank you to Gavina and Kimberly who were awesome. Absolutely zero complaints.

Gorgeous beach setting

Check in took an age and there was no concern at all by the check in staff to put anyone else on, so not a great welcome. Apart from that, really lovely stay. The setting is beautiful, rooms are large and spotless. Don’t miss the 1pm crab race!

Great experiences! Just a couple of nick picking things; we could not get a functioning cork screw? They only had broken ones, ugh. Hard to get pool towels as some quests take 2 per person. Wi-fi is good when it works.

Location was close to the airport. There’s also a beach right outside the room which makes it very convenient.

I wasn't happy about only getting my room cleaned once in 8 days. I had to call for fresh towels and toilet paper. I shouldn't have to do that with that price. I day I had to call 3 times. I had to bathe with a hand towel. I had to empty my bathroom and kitchen garbage cans myself.

While everything is wonderful about this hotel, the check-in is a disaster, with long queues at the counter, too few receptionists attending and too much unnecessary paperwork.

This hotel was the best vacation we have ever taken! The property is so centrally located you do not need a car whatsoever. Several gorgeous beaches to choose from minutes away walking along the shoreline or an extremely clean pool at the resort. All nearby restaurants and bars have excellent happy hours daily. Peli deli was perfect shopping supermarket nearby for all the essentials and more. We visited the entire island and met many people and this exactly hotel has the best location and grounds and we will with certainty stay here again. We felt very safe and even when my mom lost her phone by leaving it outside, was able to safely retrieve it at security. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Food is delicious. Villa 6 is the spot to be!

Excellent location. Calm ocean. Beautiful sunsets. Nearby grocery store and wonderful restaurants. Close to the airport. Many activities in the local town. Excellent bar/restaurant shack at end of property. Excellent staff. Loved this location. Excellent value.

The property has been updated and is well maintained. The location is ideal. It us quiet and relaxing. The only suggestion would be to have a few small restaurants on the propertty. Perhaps a small souvenir shop would be a good idea as well.

Great place to stay

I found the staff very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the beachfront facilities and also the suites were nicely renovated with modern kitchen facilities. I would definitely go back.

Hotel.com scam

They added $75 to the room rate and told me explicitly it was punishment for booking on hotels.com. I couldn’t believe it. They said if you don’t wanna pay the fee book on Hilton.

Nice beach, friendly stuff, activity by the pool, barbecue area, nice view, rooms are big but old smells humidity, mattresses not comfortable, to clean the room is extra $$.

like all about the stay. have stayed at this resort in the past and it was awesome. since Hilton took over it is not the same.. service went down hill . foud roaches in the bathroom had to call they came and sprayed the room . i had called for towels and it took them 2 hours to bring to the room first time second time it still was not there for 24 hours had to recall and i finally went to the front desk to pick up. Spoke to the manager Mr. fleeming a few times and he keep telling me he was sorry and would resolve the problem and for some reason it did not happen . not that i needed much all i asked for was towels and they could not provide . needed to ask for anything because they never came around to the room in the 2 weeks i was there they changed the sheets after 8 days and did nothing else after that unless i called front desk because housekeeping never picked up the phone.

My only problem was getting to the island, thumbs down to winair. The place issssssss excellent, the front desk staff excellent, the room is amazing, great location, great restaurants all in walking distance from the hotel grounds, lots of activities. I love it, love it, I love it. I was abit apprehensive when I was greeted with a "welcome home!!!" at the front desk but after my stay I really can appreciate the expression. 👍👍👍

I have been going to Flamingo Resort since 2016 yearly. It’s my one go to place for myself to getaway from it all. The staff are amazing, all very kind and friendly.

Amazing birthday trip, walking distance to welfare rd, where you have several restaurants and bars to visit. If renting a car keep in mind no street signs, gotta keep your eyes open for turns. Everything is in the vicinity, nothing too far. It was a great location. Kind of tricky finding the hotel no signs until you get right up on it. It's like 4/5 resorts in a cove and this resort is at the very end. But also in the cove you can find bars, food. Really don't have to leave the property unless recreational.

The bay was very enjoyable

Just this smell to the room and not my style good for one night only

This was our 4th visit to the island (3rd time to Flamingo). This is an older condo/hotel with timeshares (we are not owners) with all the amenities you have at home. Full stocked kitchen with oven (I pack a piece of parchment paper to reheat our prior dinner leftovers) microwave, coffee maker (no pods just old fashion coffee maker), dish washer, divider between living room & bedroom, ocean front had great view, bed super comfy. Housekeeping only occurs after 4th day, laundry facilities downstairs for free, two nice beaches to float in all day or snorkel. No one was saving beach chairs at early dawn like our last visit in March. Nice pool (not very deep tho) open till 11 pm & 2 hot tubs for relaxing in. I don’t think this resort has “no” in its vocabulary, I’m convinced they do everything possible to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. If returning to the island we would stay again. Thank you to all the friendly staff who made our vacation memorable by showing your kindness & working so hard to keep the resort in tip top shape! We appreciate all you do, thank you!!

Great room at the Hilton! It was 10 steps from the beach and was amazing! Highly recommended but the only drawback is there is only one small restaurant on the property.

Flamingo Hotel SXM

The room's ammenites were excellent. Updated glass top electric stove in spotless condition. Microwave was also spotless along with the room and shower. Shower fixtures were also updated and in good working order. Only complaint is, while the A/C worked very well the room held a lot of moisture to the extent the towels would only be completely dry if put on the balcony. Additionally, the moisture caused clothing to smell moldy. Hopefully, the room moisture issue will be resolved in the near future. However, the quality of the property's infrastructure and customer service was superb and I would return again for another stay.

This place exceeded our expectations! They upgraded us for our one year anniversary to a beautiful suite! The room had a great view and was extremely clean! Equipped with everything needed! Fresh towels, toiletries etc. They also reached out everyday to make sure we were good and comfortable! Def recommend!

They offered a 2 night refund of $344.00 which I have not received even after they assured me they would be credit to my account
