Lack of seating for large groups! Rodent seen running in restaurant and trap observed Reception staff attitude was very poor when checking out Could not find power outlet near mirror 2 bottles of shampoo and conditioner in shower, no body wash Rooms were too dark, not enough lighting Positive - water station on each floor Fridge in room Hire umbrella if it rains
Quiet, nothing nearby. Tram is close to jump on
I was very disappointed with my experience. We arrived at 8:00 PM, and while check-in went smoothly, things quickly went downhill. When we tried to order room service at 8:15 pm (which ends at 10:00 PM), no one answered after calling six times, even after reaching out to reception. Frustrated, we went down to place the order in person and were assured it would be delivered to our room. An hour passed with no delivery, so we went back to follow up. Finally, after 1 hour and 15 minutes, the food arrived cold—and they had forgotten the drinks so I went back down to get them. ( totally the point of ROOM SERVICE :) It was clear they simply didn’t care, and despite my complaint, they still charged me full price. An unacceptable experience. Poor customer service
Loves the breakfast options. Staff were friendly.
Great for the Christmas markets and family friendly.
Will stay here again
Comfortable & clean with very friendly staff.
Everything was good .. nice hotel
Looks like recently renovated, clean and super comfy. There is some constructuion work in the street bordering the hotel which makes it a bit tricky to get into the parking but it didn't bother us.
Property was under construction and the entry area was pretty awful. Staff in the bar and restaurant were wonderful. Room attendant was great! reserved this hotel specifically because it was across the street from our meeting venue; however, because of a fair on the grounds, we had to walk about half a mile out of our way to get into the convention center. might have been funny if it wasn’t raining so much!. Also, they charged exorbitant prices during this convention!!
This feels like a very old property that Hilton forgot to renovate. The location did not feel safe to my wife. It is a LONG walk to the city center, and not close to many restaurants. The bar felt like a train wreck. They were playing rave music and the service was sub par in my opinion. I hate to leave a review like this, but I just wanted to warn people in advance so you are not surprised.
A nice hotel, just outside of Strasbourg city.
A great hotel, just outside of the city of Strasbourg, but easily accessible by tram or bus. We were there for one night, as a stop-over, on our inter-railing holiday. Quiet hotel. Good food in the hotel restaurant (big portions too). All the staff were very friendly and professional. I would recommend this hotel.
I didn’t find the staff to be very helpful. In fact, we had to move our rental car several times because we weren’t given good directions for parking.
Positive- the Europe Suite was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The incredibly disappointing element was the lack of coffee in both the executive area and breakfast area. There were seven people in line for the one coffee machine in the breakfast area! This is not adequate for a hotel if this size. Furthermore, staples such as wheat toast were not replenished. We went into the executive area to get coffee only to find that machine was broken. For the weekend, the coffee makers were regularly out of beans, broken, or over crowded. This is not acceptable in France, at a Hilton, and for the price paid.
It was a good surprise to see such a nice residence in that area.
.
Room and hallway smelled like cigarettes. The coffe pot smelled like vinegar. A lot of the soaps were out.
Unpleasant stay
Spare bed for my daughter turned out to be very small and flimsy though I specified her age when reserving the room. Breakfast area extremely crowded and not very clean. Internet access very uncomfortable, password not provided and concierge took my phone to do access. Room made woke us up at 08.30 a.m. Very unpleasant experience with this particular hotel.
Good hotel but location isn’t
Hilton was OK. the location was not good, unless you go for the conference center. To travel to city, you need to take tram and it’s 6-7 mins walk to the nearest station. Value for money is very poor, perhaps because we visit during peak season (Xmas market in Strasbourg). Room is spacious. Bedding was top quality. Breakfast was good.
The wiz of the room was great, and the breakfast was excelent
Friendly and helpful staff
I did not like the area.
very good
Nice hotel in a good location close to a tram stop. Dinner in the restaurant was good. Parking was very convenient.
In need of an upgrade. The staff was very friendly. Parking is outrageously expensive and breakfast was below two stars.
I didn’t like anything, the hotel is dirty and outdated.
Strasbourg Christmas market
The hotel is located nearby the old city and other sights The hotel staff were polite and helpful. The room was excellent and clean
Nice hotel, perfect location: awful breakfast
We loved the Hilton for its location and comfort, although the room ( junior suite) was in need of a remodel update, it was still very nice. The reception staff were lovely however I gave a negative service review based on the breakfast. Hands down the worse breakfast experience I’ve had in any hotel. There was not enough food and No-one was servicing tea or coffee and you had to queue for tea & coffee at a vending machine ( minimum 15/20 people waiting /queuing at a time) - half of which were not working, overall very disappointing breakfast.
Nice hotel that is walking distance from the sights. Though quite a trek from the train station.
Because of the location, I was able to get around
I liked the room which was spacious. The Staff was very helpful.
The hotel was nice, the room comfortable, breakfast expensive, but good. The hotel was very convenient for visiting the expo halls. It is also well placed to visit downtown Strasbourg.
Poor Housekeeping service Booked two rooms as a family - gave us two rooms in different floors There was no one to collect our baggage on arrival Room service only starts at 7pm
We arrived at 10am to have our luggage held while we went out to enjoy the town before we were able to check-in at 3pm. We had been up early so around 2 we headed back and checked to see if our room was ready. It was not it will be ready at 3pm. At 3pm our room was still not ready. 40 minutes later we were told our room was ready. We go into our room and I had to go back to the front desk because they had not put in the rollaway bed for our child. After not being allowed to check in at check in time it's absurd that the rollaway bed was not in there for us. the pillows were ok, the room was clean and had everything we needed.
noisy
No issue with cleanliness, but interior in need of refurbishment. The rooms that look out on the street are also very noisy. Their only real asset is the location if you want to be in walking distance from the european parliament.
It was nice classical Hilton but we forgot expensive chocolate package in minibar , we call very short time after check out ! They back to us after 3-4 hours that they did not find them ! We are still waiting a solution from them , after explained with detailed email ..
family room = adjacent rooms
It's not a family suite, it is two adjacent rooms
2 stars would be close to reality
This hotel could disappoint you. First of all, it saus it’s located in the center of Strasbourg, but it’s not. All around this communist building transformed into hotel, the surrounding are full of wild grass, they don’t care how you come from the parking. At the reception they ask you for a deposit, it depends from what country you’re coming. That’s not normal. And most of all… in the room I didn’t find at all the conditions of a 4 star hotel. Btw, the bath door was broken in its corner and it is very obvious that they only fill in the minimum just to survive. Sorry, there are many others much better than you, for thesame amount of money. In my hometown, Hilton is something extraordinary, but the Hilton from Strasbourg is a shame.
Very good stay, in particular thanks to the attentive staff. The hotel is located in a pleasant, quiet area, not central but within close reach of the centre. The rooms are comfortable and have a nice design.
Does its job
Run of the mill Hilton affair catering to the Strasbourg diplomatic crowd. Parking charges are a little high considering there isn't any additional protection offered for parking on site instead of the street beside.
This is sub-standard. Empty ghost hotel were all furtinure has been removed. Could someone not have thought aboput a vending machine where you at can have access to drinking water? I feel ripped-off.
Nothing special, just a standard upper-middle class hotel that serves its purpose. The big problem is that they booked $182 from my credit card without cause. The staff deny it, but it is undeniably booked from my card.
Great room, avoid the restaurant
Very nice after 10 hour drive and price was perfect... one small advice: dont have dinner there. Food was really not up to par
Hotel is far away from downtown (Cathedral, Little France etc). Its an easy train ride, but it's expensive. About 7 euros for 4 people, each way. The hotel is dated and so are the rooms, yet they are clean and the staff was very kind.
Lovely sunny day in Strasbourg
One night only Pleasant and clean room and bathroom Helpful receptionists and quiet location Breakfast was very good but one would expect a bit more from such a lovely Hilton
Location is not great, cleanliness was rather poor
All good
typical business hotel
It feels that you are 50 years back in time. Good staff, a bit used rooms, which need the renovation. Very clean.
Loved their breakfast buffet. Friendly staff. Not too far off from city center.
Easy check in process. Able to charge my electric car, only a very slow plug - not an official charging unit but it worked. Shame there was only 1 bay
We had trouble with the
It’s close location to the European Parliament as well as the Council of Europe (only 2 or 3 tram stops away).
Fantastic Experience
The hotel was is s great location. The room was very large, clean, and comfortable. The Executive lounge was a great perk, as well as the free breakfast. Restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, I would recommend staying at the Hilton Strasbourg.
Nice bed, didn’t like the bathtub shower, parking was full
Excellent hotel service. My wife and I enjoyed our 3 days stay at the Hilton Strasbourg, loved the service, nice breakfast. I highly recommend it.
The food was enjoyable, the service was pleasant, professional and customer-oriented.
There is one bount The barking cars there is with charges
Wasnt happy about the 20.00 dollar fee to park, wasnt informed of that when booking aslo breakfast wasnt great at all.eggs were brown inside and bacon wasnt cooked enough.need to change up breakfast and add different things .french toast was cold and moist
Was not impressed that we had to pay 20 dollars a day to park and it not even in a gated area ..Also contential
The shower head (faucet) in room 709 would always turn outward when the water was flowing. This made it very difficult to take a shower, because I had to hold the shower nozzle in my hand the whole time. I think there should be an additional insert to hold the shower faucet in place. This was in an executive room. I would never expect this in any room at Hilton. If this happened at one of my properties it would be replaced immediately. This was still just a small issue. The eggs at the buffet tasted like powdered eggs, as the texture seemed odd even though the eggs were watery. However, all staff were very friendly, courteous, and professional. I was very impressed by them, as they definitely live up to the high standard that Hilton is known for.
Rooms were well appointed. Front desk staff were helpful.
Family stopover
We had a family stopover retuning home from Italy via Calais. Hilton is a trusted brand and we got what we expected. Sunday night arrival was a little quiet but that was ok. You can take a tram three stops into town. The bar in the hotel was empty and very dark. Not at all appealing, we ate out for our evening meal but the breakfast was ok, choice was fine and service was brilliant. We paid onsite parking which was a little bit of a shock, but handy. We had two rooms side by side, both identical. The only downside was thread bare carpets, literally, and missing bath plugs - midnight surprise upon returning from dinner. The beds are fine and decor is good - bathrooms spotless.
Wonderful! Very helpful staff!
Reception was smooth and parking was easy. Breakfast was delicious. Very nice property. Will stay again.
Hilton is a brand that has to keep his standard
You can't fight from all the fronts , if you want to beat on price that's ok, but you lower your level and the condition of the rooms getting poor.
Nice hotel, but area was not convenient to access of downtown Strasbourg. Not close to restaurants and hotel restaurant was decent, but pricey.
The staff was super cheery and very helpful. They gave us not only information about strasbourg but also helped us with our journey forward to switzerland.
Lovely suite for our family of five. Not too far from the cathedral and other attractions.
2 day Strasbourg visit...
Lovely smart hotel, very clean and excellent service all round.
Some of the staff members are not nice....little bit racist.
Rooms are very outdated and they also charge for the car parking 20€ per day!!!
l like the most the man at the reception was very very warm and nice
Very good all around the Barmen was polite and Knew how to make us good Martini and cocktails The breakfast was good for the price
Good but not quite one would expect from Hilton na
It shows the age Hilton should invest in revamping their hotels so they look modern and welcoming. The AC fan was noisy, bathroom had limescale unit up at different locations. Breakfast was good with plenty of variety to chose from
The only thing I didn’t like was the alarm waking me up to evacuate the building on two of the three nights I stayed there. On the second night I was unable to get back to sleep and it affected me the next day. I would appreciate compensation for my inconvenience.
The fire alarm went off at 2 AM and the building was evacuated. My problem was there was no staff directing people where to go and what to do. There were no emergency vehicles at the scene. At the end they let the people go back to their rooms. There was no explanation as to what happened. The staff has to be trained in emergency services.
Staff was friendly, rooms were clean and neat. Internet connection was excellent. Breakfast was very good.
Really good property - best location n ambience interior also good
Loation is not too bad. About 20 minute walk from the old town. The room was clean, the staff was friendly.
P
Good experience
No good if you come from Orbitz . Room was not like hilton’s
Old hotel but renewed room and comfortable bed. They upgraded my room.
Great location. We had easy access to the wine expo and downtown. The staff was friendly, and upgraded our room when the one we had booked was sold out.
My bad review is due to the following: . The room images on expedia are not the same from the reality . The services on expedia such as free parking allowance is not true
Highly Recommended for a Family Stay!
An outstanding family hotel in a great city. The hotel staff was outstanding, after a morning run we missed the posted breakfast time and the staff provided the meals anyway. The family rooms were large and were more than enough for our family of four. The location was great with a tram station near the hotel and all attractions in walking distance! Highly recommend this Hilton Hotel!!
Very pleasant stay. Lounge is available with free coffee and drinks. Great location!
Good place to stay.
The staff was very welcoming and met all of our needs, even an early check in. The room and bed were fine.
Comfortable, modern hotel in Strasbourg
We had a very comfortable stay at the Hilton Strasbourg. Service was welcoming and friendly. The room was pleasant and a decent size. The bed was very comfortable. The bathtub/shower combination was very nice, as were the bedroom amenities provided. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The hotel is not in the downtown area of Strasbourg, but it was fairly easy to access the downtown via tram.
Friendly reception staff. Needs a bit of a better attention to cleaning of public areas
Excellent service!
Nice and friendly service!
Just a tram ride away from the centre of Strasbourg which is gorgeous. Lovely walks along the river, with a huge choice of restaurants. Great historic city.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and everything was to the level we expected.
Nice hotel in an amazing city
Nice hotel located very near a tram station around the city. Staff very friendly. Room was warm and air conditioning didn’t seem to help but again staff assisted and supplied a fan. Would visit again.
Not Clean
The bathroom was not clean, curly gross hair in the sink, and in/on the FOLDED hand towels. The toilets are old fashioned push buttons on the top of the tank, and it was completely broken, and not able to flush. Was unable to contact anyone to clean/or fix the toilet via in room telephone. The overall cleanliness was subpar, and I would not stay here again. Though, I can vouch their cafe has a great cappuccino.
Attended a conference here. Very close to tram stop. Tram to city center is 3 stops. Very convenient and quiet.
Old hotel
Needs to remodel the rooms and the loby
Overpriced, increasingly shabby, complacent
Hilton used to be the premium hotel in Strasbourg. Unfortunately, while it still charges premium prices, the rooms are shabby, old-fashioned and lacking in power sockets, so bring an extension lead and adaptons. Worse is the overpriced food. Many of the glasses at the breakfast buffet had lipstick on, we ordered a side-salad, which looked as if the left over garnish from other meals had been scooped up into a bowl, and the additional cost for side orders was exorbitant (10 euros for rice instead of potatoes)
great hotel
Very friendly and helpful staff, quick check-in/check-out, clean room, spacious room, great amenities, quiet. Easy parking Very happy with my stay. I would definitely recommend it.
Comfortable room but parking an expensive challeng
Great service and comfortable bed. The décor is a little dated and parking a car can be a problem. Plus, 20€ per night for parking!
Convenient to Expo/convention Center
Super convenient location close to the convention/expo center. Stayed for the wine expo which was very walkable. Everyone at the property was super friendly and nice. Breakfast was good but very crowded. Parking at the hotel was 20euro per night but there was a large event lot just behind the hotel with 2 Euro parking.
