Very nice
Checkin was friendly, easy and quick. The skybar is awesome with amazing views especially at night! Walked to Union Square for shopping and dinner, only a few blocks away. Took elevator from the Parking garage to lobby. Everything was decorated beautifully for the holidays. Get a room with a balcony, it did not disappoint, the views of the water were spectacular!
Good location to Mall and Restaurants.
Unfriendly staff, unclear charges. Terrible experiences, will never stay here again
good
Rooms were dirty
Able to walk to attractions.
It was just manageable. Every year I used to stay in this hotel in December. Also, every year the quality of hotel in its service is deteriorating. If I give a score pf 8/10 in 2011, it has now reduced to 4/10. That is the type of performance deterioration.
Strikes, picket lines, and dated rooms
Extremely dated property. And there were strikes happening at all the hotel chains during our stay. It was miserable.
Old and dirty
Service and cleanliness need some work
The view from the room was excellent, however, the rooms are a little dated and could use a remodel. The ice machine on our floor didn't work and when I contacted the concierge about it, they advised me to go to another floor rather than offering to bring ice. I normally wouldn't mind this minor inconvenience at a lesser hotel, but the premium cost of staying here should include premium service. Also, the lobby floor near tower 1 elevator smelled like a garbage dump. I have stayed here several times and this most recent stay was the most disappointing. This is an excellent hotel for the most part but I expect a higher level of service and cleanliness at this price point.
Not clean
Hilton Service and fees is slipping...
Union Strike was extremely disrupting- replacement staff didnt seem yo know operations...check in was not accomodating...both lobby bar and club staff were extremly inexperienced...
They have a lot of protesters outside, making loud noises very unsafe
Noisy protesters making noise and banging on things the homeless
Protestor hot spot
Picketing- I completely understand the protesters have free speech but considering I was on a gift card by my boss I could hear the drumming and banging from my room on a high level. Waiting for my Uber to arrive and leave, I was accosted both times by the protesters getting in my face. Hotel tried to assist but was not enough- the protesters were even in the loading zone and not in the picket line. I was supposed to be relaxing...
The room was cool
Would have been 5’s if it wasn’t for the strike
There was a strike
Staff were friendly and kind. Professional and knowledgeable. Unfortunately there was a hotel worker strike going on. Lots of banging on metal cans, air horns and megaphones. We received info at check in and apologies but the strike really impacted our stay. The much advertised sky bar was sectioned off on a busy Saturday night for a private party. We could not get a table for over an our and eventually gave up. This was an amenity we really wanted to use. Room was very dirty and dated. Could not use balcony due to worker strike noise. View was amazing. Just not the best stay. We tried to find the silver lining and were happy to be in a great location. Just sad and disappointed that our stay was impacted by the strike.
The staff was protesting with sirens the whole time. The room was unsanitary because it hadn’t been cleaned. The hotel couldn’t have cared less about how terrible the experience was. They told me I could leave if I didn’t like it.
Too many homeless and drug addicted people around the hotel
Would come back again. My kids enjoyed the stay which
Hotel workers were on strike and I was not notified. Checking in with our bags was a logistical nightmare. Manu services not available
Older hotel, declining, needs upgrades
This was a horrible stay as they did not let us know about the picketers! Plus a room that was still partially dirty and zero bath towels! Outside was lots of homeless and just felt unsafe to walk around !
We came for my birthday and to see Wicked. The hotel was great, Except for the very obnoxious and loud protesters out front.
Hard to enter hotel due to strikers Yelling and acreaming at guests. Awful. Lounge & restaurant closed. No staff. Request credit for the night.
Great
Pink mold presence on bath tub curtain and dirty tub. Found insect in bed. Holes in bed sheets. Vents dirty filled with dust. Also there was an active strike taking place in front of the hotel by the hotel employees. No room service nor housekeeping available due to employees on strike.
Never came to clean the room ever had to ask for everything we needed more coffee, more towels, etc. worst stay ever the employees were nice though
Strike also going on when we arrived. Painfully noisy nonstop.
There was a strike by the Hilton employees, very loud noise.
Beware the strike action having a major impact on service levels
There was an active strike at the Hotel which drastically impacted my stay. For one, I did not appreciate being made to cross a picket line -- there should have been disclosure of that fact at the time of booking or immediately after. Also, there was no opportunity of quiet enjoyment or sound sleep as strike sounds including banging of bucket drums could be heard clearly and loudly all day and night. With only a brief break in the middle of the night -- resuming before sunrise. I expect at least a partial refund.
Check in was easy and the front desk was very nice. The actual room was fine except the blinds would not open all the way and on the last day we called for toilet paper, they never came with the toilet paper we requested. They gave us one roll for 3 days. The restroom had hair on the ceiling, the shower had mold/mildew and there was rust also on the ceiling. Overall the experience was an 4/10. Very disappointed.
No idea an incredibly noisy strike was happening. Audio assault was deafening and unnerving. Not sure why this type of assault is allowed?
strike made it not enjoyable and room was filthy
Hilton Union Square workers on strike
Showed up at the Hotel on Day 2 of a strike with a picket line at the entrance. The Hotel made no attempt to contact me with prior warning that, in order to stay at the hotel I would have to cross that picket line. If I had known in advance I would have supported the workers efforts for better conditions by switching to another hotel. Once inside the hotel I was informed there was no maid service and no room service. The bars shut at 10pm due to lack of staff. Hotel itself is fine but the lack or prior notice or offer of a refund or alternative is not what I would have expected. Staff did their best but not a good experience.
Great Hotel, will return. Customer service was great. Hotel is well maintained, and clean.
So so stay this time.
Had some issues with this stay at the hotel. First issue was workers on strike at the moment on 3 sides of the hotel. My room had a large scratch on the tv, closet door was kind of stuck and bathroom door didnt close all the way and lock. Bc of the strike food closed early 10pm too. I usually stay a couple times a yr to go to SF Giants game and have no issues. This one was a little rough.
Good
The property was clean and well maintained. The room had everything we needed. The staff was knowledgable, friendly and professional. The location was good. Really liked the cafe and lounge area in the lobby.
Decent location.
Charges were confusing and felt we were over charged to what we were expecting. Check in was too long a wait & check out was also too long, as same queue for both.
Broken bathroom handle was the only issue we had. Customer service was great as always!
Friendly front desk. Clean, comfortable bed. Easy check in check out
I really liked that they checked in via text to see if I needed anything. I think that’s incredible.
In purposely chose the 16th floor pool and patio rooms to guarantee no street noise and it was perfect. I was able to open the sliding door to enjoy the air while I did work in the room between conference sessions. It was not noisy and guests were respectful in the pool area. The hotel is renovated yet it still had some tasteful elements from the past, like the 🌴 palm trees in the swimming pool area. Great conference hotel, the conference food was great and location; however since it’s next to the tenderloin just be aware of your surroundings when you venture out. The cleaning staff were wonderful as well. One negative was the app’s help desk gave me wrong information about my $35 daily food credit… they said I didn’t have any but I actually did… found out only when I was checking out… quickly ran over to the cafe and got some food to use up the day’s credit but I missed out on 3 day’s worth. Lesson learned… talk to the registration staff in person.
Hotel was great. Watch out for homeless people in San Francisco.
I've been to many different hotels of various levels, I rate this the worst so far. While it's clean and the check-in clerk was nice, no one really answers the phone, and when one finally did, they acted like a major bother, the thermostat is a pain in the butt to figure out before freezing or getting cooked, room service stopped before 8 after being told it goes well into 9pm, had to doordash but don't allow dashers upstairs so had to get dressed and go back downstairs, room door so heavy that it slipped from my hands and slammed on my head with the locking mechanisms pounding my head at a pretty fast rate when placing the eaten food container outside the door(could be a concussion) giving me a throbbing pain, bottom of the bathroom door knob to a sliding french door is loose, so the handle becomes undone, no shower cap, poor TV channels and the display setting is too bright but no way to control, parking structure was the most stressful thing ever. Stayed in various places in SF, too. My recommendation is to go elsewhere if at all possible. Haven't checked out yet, so hopefully that would be a better experience.
Not very comfortable
The hotel was nice but room and beds were small. The room was not very comfortable. There were no towel racks and the shower would leak after the room next door turned off their shower? Parking was terrible and expensive. We could not find parking on the first few floors and our SUV could not go up to the higher floors so we had to valet park. Elevators were slow and limited.
The hotel itself was great though the buffet was pricey. The area around the hotel was scary. I would not walk anywhere around there as there were many vagrants in the neighborhood.
All of the staff were wonderful! Very accommodating and helpful. And the hotel was beautiful.
All area around filth of dog poop, lost of homeless smell pee bad, ambulance and cop sirens all night couldn’t sleep well
For the very expensive Rate I was surprised at the fact our bathroom doors did not shut. The bathroom fan did not work. I was also told they didn’t have luggage carts for guests to use so we had to make many trips from the very expensive Parking Garage. And the food prices were absolutely ridiculous and stupidly overpriced.
Took too long to check in
The property location is excellent. The room was comfortable and clean. We enjoyed our stay
good
Location is great
All ok
Quite expensive but that's the area! Could hear people in hallway and walking above. But very clean and nice hote.
Jojo at the front desk was great. Beds are amazing. Cityscape bar was closed. Pool closes too early.
The hotel is beautiful. They views are priceless !!!! The room was "clean" not deep clean there was dust lamps rc stand. Our neighbors were so loud we can hear everything 😔
Great service and clean
Still have not received a receipt after 3 days of check out
The hotel it’s self was a 4 star. The front seat staff I give 5 stars. The surrounding area was terrible. We did not feel safe to walk outside the hotel. The streets are just congested with homelessness. Such a shame the concentration of people was very frightening. Sadly I would not recommend this beautiful hotel unless you are there for sleeping accommodation and to dine in.
Limpieza a diario exelente
Gran hotel, habitaciones muy confortables, cama excelente y muy buena ubicación, cerca de Union Square
There was a stain on the shower curtain, Fridge was blocking and I had to wait until midnight to change my room. It was terrible, terrible terrible customer service and claiming total don’t recommend this hotel.
Their king beds are not king size
Property computer system was down and the receptionist was not helpful until the manager took the initiative to check all the guests in the Parc 55 for one night. Next day we moved back to the Holiday Inn. The washer room has no towels rack and no fan in the washroom.
Great views and good food
Very near Union square, the hotel is old but it worked fof our family vacation.
Great location and stuff. All you need in SF for buisiness or leisure. At reasonable price you get high end experience
You should let people know ahead of time parking is not included!!!
Thanks
Very good.
I'm so glad I found a room here last minute, and the concierge was very kind and accomodating. When I used the phone, my calls were picked up right away & all my questions were answered. The complentary food ticket is nice, the food selected itself is good even though there aren't many options compared to a restauarant. There are lots of coffee shops nearby and Macy's Union Square is down the street so that was very convenient. Will come back again!
It was a quick stay. The room was tight for 4, double beds are tight. There is homeless but that’s not the hotels fault. Service was great and prompt.
Staff was helpful and easy to communicate with.
WiFi did not work until my last day of stay
Overall good experience
Terrible experience. The doorman that worked on Thursday night was very rude, impolite, unprofessional and very intimidating . Honestly ,I felt frightened .This is not how hotel guests should be greeted. Thank you for unpleasant experience ,never staying with Hilton again.
Property is beautiful. The area was walkable however there were a lot of unhoused individuals in the area. Even though I was not bothered by anyone, I was more aware of my surroundings at night
It's late at night, and I don't want to put thought into writing something, but they said writing something is required. I wonder what they'd do to me if I didn't write anything?
Convenient location that is only 2 blocks from Union Square and nearby businesses and shops.
amazing service
Great Stay
Our stay was wonderful. Our check in lady was great, gave us tips to help us save money. Our room was nice, had a balcony. our check out guy was awesome too, Abdul. He was very pleasant, great personality, easy to vibe with. overall the service was great.
I love the balcony but pillows need work
Everything about the hotel was great
Our family trip was amazing. The kids enjoyed sight seeing San Francisco.
Sad that we couldn’t experience the sky bar since it was being renovated. Pool was small.
I really like the location easy to move around the area.
The check-in was smooth and the room was very clean.
The view and the room itself were amazing. I loved the outdoor pool although there often weren’t enough chairs for guests. The skyview bar and urban restaurant are currently closed for renovations. Checkin and check out lines were very long.
Very convenient location close to cable cars, Muni and Bart for transportation throughout the city and Oracle park as well as to the airport.. Good choices to eat within a short walk of a block or two. The attached parking garage was a huge plus, although expensive. Staff was outstanding and friendly.
Unsafe and a Strike in the front
