Ski in / out
Hotel ski in and ski out with ski valet for storing skis / snowboards which was great. Would be handy to have more shuttle buses in the morning going to Hirafu. Breakfast was ok but not great so we only tried it once out of our five days there.
The staff will make your stay. From the moment you arrive they will go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The breakfast at the melt is to die for and i suggest to make reservations to their restaurants they are amazing. Go to Rera for delightful sushi. They also have fireworks and music at the lobby at night so you can unwind after a day on the slopes. Overall this hotel is one you would want to come back to.
Onsen
This hotel feels a bit dated at this point, and is very expensive for what you get. However, the onsen and breakfast are excellent, as is the staff. But the temperature control in the room did not work, the room was small (for the price) and needs a refresh.
Absolutely fantastic hotel Ski in, ski storage, everything you need at your fingertips Wonderful friendly staff Everything really clean and comfortable My only minor complaint is the rooms are very hot Highly recommended
The property is tired. Great location and they are trading on their name. Overpriced.
If you looking to ski or snowboard in niseko, this hotel is pretty good option. Although the hotel feels old in term of style, it has everything you need, onsite Onsen, an affordable convience store in the hotel, gondola that’s right outside. They also offer a free shuttle bus to hirafu, and that’s what I using every day for dinner. Not to mention, they have clothing line inside of your room and give you 2 bottles of free water everyday.
The snow was magical
Excellent property. Wonderful ski in ski out facilities. Perfect for family skiing holiday.
Good
Awesome place in a beautiful area
Hilton Niseko was a great stay! The breakfast was amazing with a wide variety of food (western and asian). The location next to the ski lift and next to the ski vallet and ski rental makes it hassle free 100%
interiors were very dated. delayed check in due to previous room not cleaned. very convenient as next to niseko village.
Overall was OK and very convenient if you are into winter sports. Food was OK and plenty of choices. But food wares were usually dirty with food stain on utensils and plates.
Fantastic breakfast buffet, even for picky eaters. Lovely staff. The property is a bit tired but not terribly so. The onsen is wonderful. The restaurants in adjoining Niseko Village are great and better than the hotel dining (except that fabulous breakfast). Wonderfully ski in, ski out with gondola steps away and ski rentals with decent gear.
Very convenient for skiing. Breakfast very good.
Reliable stay
The Hilton is a very reliable chain with great service and atmosphere. Lost luggage was resolved and I was wonderfully reassured by Hilton staff. The highlight was the convenient location to the ski school, lift and nearby village. The buffet breakfast is definitely worth purchasing, great breakfast variety for absolutely everyone. Convenient and reliable. Although the many restaurant choices, bookings are essential and difficult to get, even in the early snow season. You should definitely expect to spend a bit more money in Niseko and the Hilton due to the more remoteness of the location compared to other popular cities in Japan. The room gets a bit squishy with 4 travellers each with their own large suitcase. Lastly, I would highly recommend visiting the included bathhouse and outside Onsen, magical to see it snowing while enjoying a natural Onsen.
Fantastic ski resort and onsen. Great professional English.
I loved the proximity to the mountain and restaurants in the village. The only downfall was the quality of the hotel restaurants which were mediocre.
Nice stay
Great hotel with a nice breakfast buffet. Went during the off season so was good value and very quiet. Staff super friendly. Some facilities seem a bit dated and bathrooms are the typical Japanese plastic-y bathroom, which wasn’t expected for the Hilton. But still recommend it! Onsen has two pools, and the outdoor pool has a great view. Was surprised there wasn’t an outdoor pool. Definitely better onsens in Hokkaido, though still nice to have the option.
Great Hotel with a superb staff that provided excellent customer service from start to finish. Would definitely stay there again
I did a week of solo snowboarding and had a great time. The shuttle made getting around town very convenient. The hotel restaurants were not the best but they had plenty to choose from with even more options next door. Definitely enjoyed the fact that the lifts were literally right outside. The ski locker made it very convenient and did not cause any problems whatsoever. Thank you Hilton staff.
Scenery was nice but not the hotel or the services
Great view. Most of the restaurants at the hotel were closed. 🤔
Adequate property facilities. Could use more dining options. Staff is friendly. Onsen was great but could use body lotion. Need more options to head to city.
Ski In ski out, great location, lots of dining options. Good Onsen. Best spa massage service! Highly recommended to everyone!
Ski school was right beside the hotel and they had an ample of amount of dining options.
Great place for snow skiing.
Great place for snow skiing.
t desk Marina was amazing and at Melt the restaurant Oka the waiter was superb. Nathan the manager was very professional and accommodating.
Good hotel. Great location, ski-in / out hotel. Good breakfast, onsen.
Very good hotel for skiing or snowboarding in Niseko. The Niseko gondola is right across the street. Loved the hotel indoor and out door onsei.
No frills close to gondola lift. Eating options are minimal but ok. The breakfast is fantastic at the hotel.
Wonderful time at Hilton Niseko Village. If you enjoy skiing, this is the place!
It was just *fine*
It was fine. Just fine. If you want an American hotel experience, go here. If you want Japanese hospitality, stay elsewhere. Lot of tickytacky up charges. The ski valet is cool, the onsen is gorgeous, ski in ski out is nice, it does really feel like they built the hotel to corner you into spending at their restaurants and renting from their retailer. There are cheaper resorts that have better amenities and food options for the cost, but the room had a great view and it was a gorgeous hotel.
wonderful location
Able to walk out the door and onto a gondola. It's GREAT! Also, onsite onsen. Awesome. Quiet area but not in the middle of bigger village in Hirafu - if you are into that kind of things. We came to ski so weren't stay out all night. In bed early, on the slopes early - then onsen! Good variety of restaurants onsite as well as the little Niseko village. Good shuttle service. We will be back soon!
Old room.
Very nice hotel,great food
Incredible staff! Couldn’t be more helpful. The convenience to the mountain cannot be understated.
Excellent location , ski in / out with both mountain gondola and chairlift right outside hotel , ski valet made everything super easy , hotel is remote however from the main town, there are free shuttle buses that take about 25 mins to Hirafu village , there’s a few restaurants next to Hilton which are nice , Hilton also has several restaurants which are all delicious
Pictures online Are Deceiving!
This property truly left a lot to be desired for, The photos online do not do it justice. This is a 1970's vintage hotel with all the styling or lack their of to go with it. We tried contacting guest services to change our room or let us out of our stay so we can move somewhere else but they would not. Thankfully they at least let us eat in a nicer dining area as the one they assigned us to was absolutely dismal. I seldomly write bad reviews but between the lack of cleanliness and the overall feeling like I had been duped by deceptive online photos. Zoom into the bedroom Photos and you can see the 70's Hifi Stereo in the Wooden Bed Frames..bleh
Excellent service from staffs throughout the hotel. Hotel rooms are really old design. Should consider renovation.
The wireless is not stable and inaccessible some times.
the two most annoying issues I have with this hotel is about cleaning the room and filling up the bottle of water in our room. I have to tell the front desk every day about it. Secondly, once they know that I booked the room indirectly, the way the front desk treat me is totally different as if I pay much less blooking indirectly. Being just a silver member is nothing. I spent 12,000n USD with my stay this time but the way I been treated any the staff is so bad.
Ok hotel. Ski access tremendous. Some of restaurants excellent. Breakfast tremendous. Wi-Fi useless most of the time. Service hit or miss dependent on the individual. Concierge poor in every interaction- they’re not set up or trained to do the job by our experience, just friendly amateurs. Overall would probably do Ritz Carlton instead.
No clear indication where to line up for the shuttle bus. Many guests like us need to go out and check with driver ourselves under the freezing snowy weather. The room was not cleaned up which was already past 5pm, which I got to know about it because I needed to go back to the room to collect something. Not until we ran into the housekeeping staff at my room, the staff started to collect the cleaning stuff and make up the room. I requested not to assign the room at the back of the corridor but the room I stayed was the second last room of the corridor. What was the difference !
Like; Ski in/out, Many good restaurants in hotel. Dislike; Town is too far for walking.
We needed an expected hotel & Hilton came through! Staff was wonderful & price was good. We would stay here again
They need to put food in vending machines drink only not enough for area empty of service , also the staff need to focus not to take or move gust belongs or put it other where
Excellent relaxing hotel
Limited store
Very nice and beautiful surrounding. Hotel looks good on the outside but inside is a little dated. It needed to be updated and remodeled.
Great room with a stunning view of Mt. Yotei ! Just could not get enough of that . Food options were great too since I do not eat authentic Japanese food . And the Onsen is wonderful .
Great location and facilities. Room was too hot and bedding too soft and so was difficult to sleep at night. Convenient shuttle buses at regular intervals were very helpful. Also the food outlets were great!
Great hotel for skiing/snowboarding, right on the slope with the Niseko Gondola directly behind the hotel. Free use of the onsen which is nice after a day on the slopes. Complimentary shuttle to Hirafu for more dining options
Great hotel for on/off piste skiing & snowboarding, gondola at the back door going up the slopes. Rental facilities right there. Free shuttle going to Hirafu for more dining options
I love having the gondy access right next to the hotel. The Onsen was also great after a day on the slopes. The staff was very helpful - they assisted me in getting the right train for my way back to Tokyo. I would stay here again.
Very crowded and inconvenient to get to Hirafu without a car. As I'm being arranged at the corner room of a floor, it's a long walk to my room after exiting the lift. It'll be great if the shuttle bus service runs at a higher frequency. Having an onsen within the hotel was great though.
I was shocked that a hotel of this level doesn't provide a shuttle service. With the early bus closing hours, makes it super difficult to go for dinner or visit friends in Hirafu. I live in Whistler BC and I know the Hilton here has a van they'll pick guests up in. Everything was spotless, rooms maybe a little dated, overall a good experience, staff were all super friendly
Snowboard trip
Nice hotel with the gondola right there. Daily breakfast buffet was good. Only problem is it’s a standalone resort, so if you aren’t willing or too tired to take the bus or taxi into town you’re left with only the pricier hotel restaurants. If you need help, the concierge, Abishek was awesome! He was definitely the most helpful of the others and went out of his way to help us sort out our transportation options to make it to our bullet train to Tokyo.
Hotel is convenient, and staff were super helpful, but the hotel felt old and badly needs a remodel, felt like early 90’s.
The Hilton Niseko’s proximity to the gondola is awesome! The breakfast buffet is a worthy add on purchase. The rooms are a bit dated and small but still nice and comfy. I felt that paying a bit extra for a Mt Yotei view was worth it. The onsite restaurants have limited options (either a few a la carte choices or a pricey set menu) and there is only one restaurant in the Niseko “village” that appears open for dinner (Two Sticks - we had a nice dinner there). Hilton’s onsen is lovely and the gym is basic. Overall I felt our stay there was a good value for what we paid! I would return.
With a lift basically coming out of the hotel was super nice! The staff here were also very friendly and helpful. Dinner can be challenging because everything requires reservations and is a bit pricey, upon check-in they made it seem we had to book all dinners immediately in order to get in anywhere. After our first night with our priciest dinner of 2 weeks at their only available hot pot restaurant, we canceled all the dinner reservations we made originally and left the village area for more reasonable and local options. They did have a good breakfast buffet. Ski valet was nice but always busy and didn't open early enough for guided tour's pickup times. The room itself was nice, had a little extra room which is always ideal when on a ski trip.
Great location for skiing
Had a good time here at Hilton. I would contact the hotel early to enquire about their shuttle services and timetables, as taking a taxi from the nearby train station could be quite costly, when you may be able to make it onto the hotel shuttle (or local bus) instead. Recommend catching the hotel shuttle from either Kutchan station or Hirafu welcome center (as shuttles may become full after these first few stops). If you choose to take a taxi, then the closest train station to the hotel would be Niseko station. The Hilton was incredibly convenient for access to Niseko Village, with the ski hire facility and ski lifts right outside the entrance. The onsen also has to be one of the best parts of this hotel. Such a relaxing/rejuvenating experience after an entire day in the cold. It's separated by gender, and there's an indoor and outdoor onsen section for each. The breakfast was good but not amazing (on a clear morning, there are impressive views of Mt Yotei from here). There are a few cafes around the hotel (not within walking distance, but the hotel shuttle does stop at some of these places), however, they all seem to open just before midday, so your only breakfast option before a day of skiing really just the hotel breakfast - unless you decide to shuttle/bus/or drive into the Hirafu town center (lots of good dinner options here).
Niseko Villa for Family stay
The Villa is amazing for family. Great size and family enjoyed the stay. Highly recommend. The managing agent service could have been better in providing service arrangements for Ski lessons, transport arrangements. It is an area which really requires much improvement.
Beautiful views
The view of Yotei mountain covered with snow was great in May. Onsen bath is so relaxing. The room is clean, big and comfortable. Fantastic ski, golf resort and children playground.
The location is the biggest draw for this hotel. The staff are excellent, friendly, and well trained. The food was delicious. That being said the rooms are a bit outdated and the onsen area is small and disappointing.
The view of Mount Yotei from our room is magnificent. Ski lesson which is located near hotel making it very convenient. Shuttle bus to Intersection and milk kobo is also available.
It is true ski-in & ski-out hotel. There are multiple restaurants in the hotel, but they were priced a bit high. The adjacent percility, called Niseko village has limited services and is very expensive. The Hotel however provides shuttle service to go to nearby village.
Bar restaurant and coffee prices were stupidly high. Thirteen oz dollars for a coffee is a bit over the top. I shopped elsewhere
Excellent stay
Good location for skiing and ski gear. Everything is near the front desk,
Amazing location just next to the ski hill. Beautiful view. Unfortunately very outdated hotel with small rooms and old amenities. The property badly needs to be renewed
Hilton niseko was superb, Location was excellent and facilities for snow equipment storage overnight was really convenient and handy after a long day. The onsen was very well maintained and was like an oasis in the snowy wonderland that is niseko (right on the ground floor!). Customer service is expected in Japan but the staff at the Hilton really went above and beyond. Offering with lost items, tracking down a package that I had sent to the hotel and also answered all my questions leading up to my stay.
Improve breakfast
Breakfast was not good as expected as hilton. There was no drinking water for compliments in the room staff said tab water is good enough to drink. Although I booked thru hotels.com but hotel should allow their guests to refer to membership at hhonors in order to get some little offer. Shuttle bus to Hirafu is very convenient.
We stayed at the Hilton Niseko for 5 nights. The hotel is a true ski in/ski out hotel. The gondola and lift tickets is literally 60 ft from the hotel. Excellent staff and friendly! The only set back is, which is a Japanese Cultural thing is the Onsen. I dont know about you. But i prefer a hot tube where I am able to have a bathing suit on, my girlfriend next to me, and cold drink while soaking. The Onsen is divided into one side men and the other women, no bathing suits allowed, so you know whats next, naked men and children walking around bare ass. I did it once and never again did I go to the Onsen. The mineral water in the onsen is grwat, but the fact that you are sitting there with horse blinders keeping to your self is awkward. Id stay there again.
Niseko is located in a less crowded area compared to Hirafu. If you head in the opposite direction of the ski slopes, the Mt Yotei side, you will get a huge expanse of snow fields without much human activity. I took the best photo of my trip here. Otherwise, the hotel is tired, the service isn't as immaculate as Japanese customer service as you would expect. The breakfast is just okay, and transportation connection is bad. There's not much food (local/cheaper food) and shopping options here.
The location is great. The public areas are impressive. The rooms are tired and the bathroom is like an aircraft toilet cubicle. Sheets weren’t changed in entire 8 night stay and coffee and tea not replenished daily, cups also not always cleaned. As we were paying >£300 per night I expect a lot more. Hilton can only get so much grim their brand before they ruin it.
Location was seemingly good however was isolated from shops and food options, which was clearly known as the pricing for food was ridiculously high. The food options were limited and underwhelming. For $1600 a night we were given a small shoebox size room with a bathroom that could barely fit one person to sit on the toilet let alone move around to take a shower. WiFi was extremely poor and could be connected to in select areas of the hotel. I have traveled all over the the world and experiences five star service, the price of this hotel was certainly that of five star but unfortunately the experience and the hotel in entirety was not.
Great location
Good ski-in ski-out location for intermediate skiers. Snow is not great though in Jan 2020.
The best hotel in Niseko Village
100% thumbs-up!!! The hotel's cleanliness was superb, the food were delicious, the outdoor and indoor onsen were super relaxing but most of all, the honesty of the housekeeping staff is incomparable. I forgot my Gucci scarf in the hotel room and I only realized it when we were already back in the Philippines. I called up the hotel's phone number and Narita from housekeeping assisted me and told me that the housekeeping staff found it. Two days after, I received a call from Abigail Pineda, the Filipino Housekeeping Supervisor of Hilton Niseko who guided me with what to do in order for the hotel to ship the item to my home country. I am so impressed by their honesty and assistance. I will definitely stay at Hilton Niseko Village again should we decide to visit Niseko in the future. It is a real treat to know that you are staying at a place where you are assured that you can trust the staff and the housekeeping staff. Thank you Hilton NIseko for the memorable stay!!!
On the whole, the hotel felt dated. The rooms are small, which is common in Japan, but the bathroom feels like an industrially-made prefabricated box that could easily be in an airplane and not a hotel. The on-site restaurants were overbooked and overpriced; it was difficult to book a meal for the same day and, when a reservation was available, we had to pay exorbitant amounts (60000 yen for one person for a buffet where we could barely fill a plate?!). The food quality at most of the dining options were of moderate to low quality. Our best meals were at the EZO pub, the worst was at the shabu shabu dinner buffet (bleak, messy). The hotel shuttle bus was too infrequent given the huge number of guests at the hotel in this season; maybe the frequency should be increased during the busiest periods. The one bright spot was the on-site onsen springs; we used it every day (in fact, it made the miserably small bathroom in our guest room usable -- we just bathed/showered in the onsen instead of in our room).
Hilton Niseko Village - 9 days winter vacation
Very conveniently located for skiing with direct gondola and ski rental access. Walking opportunities on the adjacent golf course. Very nice and competent team at reception area and also lobby coffee&bar. However, not much else around unless you use the free hotel shuttle bus to Hirafu area (~20 min). Otherwise you need to rely on the hotel restaurants, which gave us a very mixed experience. Very nice lobby coffee&bar and good sushi and teppanyaki restaurants. Main restaurant (Yotei) and lunch buffet (the Melt) were mediocre at best. On a personal note: if you are vegetarian or looking for healthy breakfast (e.g. cereals without sugar or whole grain bread) and healthy lunch, you will have a hard time finding sufficient nutrition in the hotel. We started missing those after our 4th day of staying there. Would have been no issue for a short stay. We had a family room, which was okay for 2 persons and would have been tight for 3. Bath room was a standard plastic cabin with washing place outside next to the entrance door.
Overall is ok. But hotel housekeeping seems under staff. Housekeeping service needs to be improved. With a new hotel stop added, shuttle bus service always late. Time schedule needs to be updated to avoid confusion.
Highly recommended.
It was a wonderful stay at the Hilton-Niseko. We had a beautiful view from our hotel room. The boys had a marvellous time skiing.
It was a very pleasant experience
The onsen is very dirty. Lots of mold. The bottom on the bath was slimy and there was a lot of black things floating in the water.
Really nice hotel with a great view. Pretty good choice.
Hilton is Hilton.
Staff was helpful in many ways. They make our stay really nice. Unless skiing, hiking or golfing is the intended activity, otherwise it’s a bit out of way.
Great stop to experience the snow in May
Poor condition. The hotel needs upgrading as a whole.
A non skier in a ski resort
There’s extra charge for using the onsen and the breakfast cost a bomb! We drove to a nearby town for meal. We took the gondola up the mountain for a wonderful view, if you ski it would be more fantastic.
Great for skiing/snowboarding
Best hotel if you come for skiing or snowboarding. You can notice that the hotel has aged. Bathroom is very small. Staff is very nice.
It’s an older hotel that needs upkeep. Prices are pretty pricey for food and drink. Location is great for skiing and the ski drop off in the hotel is great. Nice staff and the breakfast is very good and they provide a wide range of food for everyone. I really appreciated the allergy signs on all the food.
I have visited four times because it is ideal to ski from the doorstep, straight onto snow. There is a big onsen to relax in afterwards. On the downside it is now getting a bit worn. Ski boots rub off varnish from wooden floors. There is a gym but nothing else to do indoors during bad weather.
For the price I paid, I would think a couple of bottles of water should be provided and the internet should be free. I stayed at other resorts before and they all had these amenities included since the price is considered expensive compared to other nearby hotels. The ski valet service is the only great part.
Niseko - ski trip
Great location by the gondola. Great sushi restaurant if you don’t want to shuttle into Hirafu. Also a lovely onsen. Some furnishings in the room is a bit worn out, likewise with the wall paper but otherwise everything was clean, staff was super nice and helpful.
Dated and in need of a sweeping overhaul
The Niseko Hilton is located in a great spot right at the base of the Niseko ski slopes. The restaurants have good (although somewhat overpriced food). The shuttle bus is convenient if going out to Hirafu for dinner or to try that side of the mountain. The beds are comfortable. But that's where the good news ends. Room furniture is mangled and the service is way below par for any Japanese hotel. Hilton elected to hire a mostly Chinese staff, and failed to train that staff to Japanese standards. The result is a "cattle pen" type mentally typical of touristy areas in China. Note, the sports massage is an all Japanese staff and it is exceptional. The room cleaning staff also does a good job. If the hotel went back to Hilton standards, it would be an exceptional hotel. If it went back to a minimum of Japanese business hotel standards, it would be quite a good hotel. As it is, Hilton seems to have decided to lower their standards and the room price to bring in the tourists, then profit on the food side while ignoring staff training and room standards. Booo.
Bathroom Amentities should has a big size , not a travelling size. Almost hotels in Japan I was stay have a big bottle of showel cream, shampoo , and conditioner.
Love the ski/boots concierge service, having a young kid this service is very appreciated and the staff Is very friendly

Ski, Onsen, Breakfast
Super fun stay at Hilton Niseko Village. We were here to ski, and the gondola is right out the door. Food at the restaurants is very good… and make sure you pay for the breakfast because it is fantastic! Rooms are small, but comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. Onsen… awesome.
