Hilton Stay

Beautiful spot by the Nile River. Walking distance to Karnak Temple. We absolutely loved the location and service at the hotel. Buffet breakfast and dinner was also a big plus. Loved it ! If we are back, we will definitively stay there again.

Great views being on the nile, but nice and quiet

I specifically booked a room with a king size bed, got there and they didn’t have one. They were able to convert two singles for me but it seemed an odd thing to have to ask for. The room was decoratively in a rather average state, seem to have a few lumps and bumps missing and rather dated I normally enjoy a Hilton breakfast much more than this one The swimming pools looked great, but needed to be heated more. Asked member of staff if there were any toilet facilities near the pools and was told “I don’t know.” I asked the staff if there were any grocery shops nearby and they pointed me towards the small dusty trinket shops in the hotel rather than the groceries shops at the end of the entrance to the hotel which I would’ve much rather been directed towards The meal on New Year’s Eve was welcomed, but rather chaotic and multiple members of staff didn’t seem to know what was going on or when All in all the Hilton was a welcome respite from the rest of Egypt which is rather more challenging, but could do with some improvements at the same time

this is a wonderful Hilton property with beautiful views of the Nile. Restaurants, Bars and service are 5 stars! Breakfast buffet is superb and staff is friendly and attentive. The GM , Florian G. is a very knowledgeable person who knows how to manage his team members. They will give you a warm Egyptian welcome!

Great place to stay

Building a bit outdated and not to par with other Hilton branded hotels

Only place to stay in Luxor ( the Sofitel was worse ) great location. Not clean. Lovely staff. Very tired hotel.

Amazing Hotel

One if the best hotel in Egypt with great Nile view, excellent service and very welcoming staff.

Very nicely situated right on Nile river with very nice pools and open spaced restaurants on edge of the river. The neighborhood is probably not the best, but does not matter since Hilton’s very nice property is isolated from the surroundings.

The hotel is incredible. The location was fabulous. The service was exceptional.

The hotel’s driver, from the airport, talked non stop about hiring him and offering tours. He made a detour & took the long route as a “preview” of the said tours. We empathically told him NO and that we DID NOT WANT ANY. We had been traveling in different countries for over a month and our flight/luggages was also delayed so we were EXHAUSTED and we just want to get to the hotel and relax. However, he persisted. It was such an UNWELCOME gesture. Around 2-3 am, the hotels air vents emits a FOUL cigarette smell. The rooms are small and the carpets are worn and quite outdated. You could also hear every time a door opens and closes. Some staff need to learn serving etiquette. DO NOT REACH between guests while we were having a conversation to clear the table. RUDE! Why rush when there were hardly any guests? At that time, there were 4 guest sitting and eating in that restaurant- it was quiet as can be. PROS: Great view of the NILE RIVER Sumptuous breakfast spread Wonderful room attendants & cleaners AC cool * For your airport/pickup and drops off and also TOURS book NASCO TOURS located at the outdoor thru the lobby area. Try the Felucca Sailing too.

Rooms were well appointed, pool was beautiful, service and breakfast was EXCELLENT! Would highly recommend.

Have you ever laid in an infinity pool as you look at and feel the breeze from the Nile ? If not you should and you should do it here. There aren’t enough stars for this beautiful property. The staff are wonderful and made me feel so welcome as a woman traveling solo in Egypt. All staff were amazing; reception, the restaurants and bars and back of house at the pool and house keeping. Great restaurant choices and shopping !! I can’t say enough good things. It’s the only place to stay in Luxor.

Very satisfied travelers

Such an amazing Hotel near the caos of Luxor, at least from my perspective. We travel to Egypt for 2 weeks and our stay at Luxor was the longest of our trip. The hotel was home-based for our daily tours. Im so happy to have chosen this place. It felt safe and allowed us to rest and enjoy the amenities. The food at the restaurant was very good. The pool and pool service was great. The romantic dinners offered on the side of the Nile river and the so many details just added to a wonderful experience. I was very satisfied also with the laundry services and for the breakfast boxes that we were provided the days we had very early excursions. Staff was always attentive and helpful. Our room, although felt a bit smaller in comparison to other hotels we stayed in egypt, it was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

We loved staying here during our stay in Luxor. It was a beautiful property, gorgeous view and EVERYONE was so kind. It was a true retreat oasis after hot days out touring. We will stay here again if we visit and would recommend it to everyone.

Great service awesome service staff

The AC in room was bad. Ask them to fix, they just changed the filter. The room did not get below 29 degrees C. The lobby is cold but passageways and room very hot. Coming back from Tours in the heat. Really made for a bad trip.

Great spot to relax and unwind

Our room was compact but nice and clean, we appreciated the big shower and the table and chairs in the bedroom. The view of the Nile is amazing and service by the pools was attentive. We tried the Asian restaurant for dinner and loved the Indian dishes. The breakfast buffet was varied and fresh.

An option in Luxor

The location is the big advantage if you want a riverside and an oasis. Clean sort of mid century like decor .Room I stayed is basic and needs a bit of TLC.

Very good experience

Wonderful views. Great to be by the Nile. Good happy happy hour on local spirits. Good food and restaurants choice. Also good spa. Location is great by the Nile but not center of town however town has not much to offer besides archeology. Lots of hassling from locals so we thought location was great anyway and taxi are cheap. Highly recommended

Great place!

My only complaint about this resort is that the food was sub-standard. But after traveling around in the middle east I realized that it is like that everywhere. So nothing really to do with the resort.

The location of the hotel is beautifully situated on the Nile, with extensive views and places to sit and enjoy the sites. The staff are amazing and the hotel itself very clean with excellent amenities! The restaurant for dinner was absolutely wonderful, with some of the very best sea bass dinners I have ever had! We booked all of our excursions through the hotel - Zein and Asmaa were amazing - including the hot air balloon (which is a must do) and multiple other day trips. Our guide (Ehab) and driver were amazing! The staff was also super attentive (shout out to Maro and Mody) and do yourself a HUGE favor and book a massage at the spa. The ladies there were absolutely amazing!! Last but not least - stop by and say hi to Nermin at the omelette station, who patiently and professionally served everyone as fast as she could. DO NOT HESITATE TO STAY HERE! We will be back!

Fantastic. Classy, sleek, comfortable, and fairly priced. Favorite hotel in Egypt!

The area around the hotel is not that pretty but that’s normal in Egypt so don’t expect any different at any other hotel. I had a really good experience, the breakfast is great, with many dishes at the buffet. The spa is beautiful, is like a whole different hotel where you can book a suite that includes spa treatments. The only thing I feel could be improved is the rooms, they look a little outdated specially the carpets.

Nice resort right by the Nile. We loved the view and the property grounds, the spa facilities were great (steam room, sauna, salt room, heated pools). As the only negative, the staff were a bit hit or miss: some were attentive and friendly, some others did not really pay attention to guests.

One of the best resorts I’ve been to world wide! While the hotel is world class with all the amenities and the cleanliness. The main reason is the hospitality and kindness the staff showed us. A special thank you to Marianna and Rahma and the staff in the cafe, and Shereen in reception for going above and beyond, that made our stay very special. You definitely need to try Fateer House!

Ready for new carpets and refurb. Breakfast selection poor along with poor selection of in the restaurants. Check before you buy at the bar as $125 for 4 simple G&T's is ridiculous. Also check you bill when checking out as we were charged for an extra night we'd paid for online. Overall the service staff are great, friendly and efficient but I'd suggest some investment training the cooks to 5 star standards. Hilton you are slacking!

Front desk staff were nice, well spoken and offer recommendations about transportation. Dinning experience was ok, staff was slow in responding. Food was great, am allergic to pistachios and chef was able to tell me what I can and cannot eat, it was buffet style. Used the gym and it was well maintained.

Disappointed by Hilton

Hotel was incredibly dirty. Brown towels, electricity wasn’t working in our bathroom, pube hairs in the spa lounge beds, and even the water shut off for a short bit.

No hand soap in the bathroom… weird. Comfy beds, felt safe, food was alright. Pools peaceful and never had an issue getting a sun bed. We’d stay here again.

The room may need some upgrades

Amazing! The view on the Nile is stunning. It’s so peaceful and calm here. Employees are very attentive, friendly, and professional. Asmaa was very nice and helpful. Good breakfast.

Breakfast and dinner were bland. I was given a free piece of mango on a skewer at the pool. It gave me very bad food poisoning.

The staffs are very professional nice respectful went above and beyond to make my stay awesome. Do not stay here

This is definitely not a 5 star hotel. The exterior is pretty but the rooms are very old, have stained carpets, and uncomfortable beds. The service at the pool is very slow and many of the waiters made rude remarks. We would not recommend this hotel and it is not a typical Hilton standard.

Hilton Luxor was so nice and the Suite Room we stayed was gorgeous and spacey. The sunset over the Nile River was unforgettable. We had every breakfast and dinner options at the buffet restaurant inside which had enough selections and good enough. I would recommend here for everybody even with relatively higher prices. Enjoy Luxor !!!

We initially ate exclusively at the Nile Hilton in Luxor upon our arrival at their on site restaurants and poolside bar service ,the result , food poisoning , poor pool service in general with minimal guests on site, empty hand sanitizers , while trying to recover from food poisoning brought on by lack of hotel cleanliness, we endured ongoing harassing room calls from the hotels front desk inquiring how we were doing? Causing us to disconnect the three room phones in an attempt to get some sleep and trying to recover, all the time with a “do not disturb “sign on our door, our only alternative was to have safe food delivered from off site restaurants ,to try to eat before we departed , luckily we had brought antibiotics on our trip to Egypt, without them I would have probably needed hospitalization, the best part of this trip was departing this place! Never to return, I would not come back if they paid me! Upon arrival we Paid extra for a upgraded room with balcony , wow , what a rip off !No elevator in this “upgraded area “ haul yourself & your luggage up the stairs.If I wasn’t so ill I would have left earlier , Hilton should invest in training staff in service & personnel hygiene in hopes of lessening the chances of getting other guests sick.

Hilton Luxor experience

Location of the hotel is amaizing and the staff was friendly overall. First experience at the restaurant not so well but after we provided the feedback all changed to better. Food was ok but expensive compared with outside restaurants. Even that I have status with Hhonors we got the last room at the last building of the hotel, not sure if because was booked thru Hotels.com.

Amazing location by the Nile with beautiful pool area overlooking the Nile. Small but well appointed gym also overlooking the Nile. Rooms fine although a little tired and in need of an update. Good breakfast options, great omelettes made to order.

Fantastic place to stay in Luxor. The staff were friendly and kind, ready to help at any moment. The resort was relaxing and peaceful. The facilities were cared for and kept to a high standard. The location on the banks of the Nile was terrific.

I loved my stay at the hotel. Most of the property is nice and updated, but the rooms need to be updated. Everything else was really nice and I enjoyed my stay. The staff was very helpful and accommodating, especially I think he was the pool bar manager.

Great hotel and great service

We really enjoyed our stay. The views from the infinity pool are breath taking and Alaa Eldin provided great service in the pool area. We were able to see the hot air balloons from our room in the morning, enjoyed some Shisha which was conveniently place next to the pool area but far enough so we didn’t feel like we were impacting other people with the smoke. The hotel was clean and the location is A++++

Beautiful resort. Lots of options like main pool for everyone or adults only spa side pool. Also has beauty salon which was a great perk. Stunning views and spacious rooms. Sad I could only stay one night.

We arranged a private "limo transfer" with the hotel (we got a Kia van) from the airport to the hotel. The driver spent the entire ride aggressively bargaining with us & kept insisting we do not book a tour with the hotel, rather with him privately and that he had the best deal. To no surprise, the price he gave us was higher than what the hotel offered. Luckily we were not fooled regardless of how exhausted we were. The outside pool area of the property itself is undeniably gorgeous. The drinks aside from the pool are not of good quality. I kept asking for Absolute Vodka in my drink, they'd agree & charge me for it, yet upon drinking it was clear he was using lower grade vodka. The only wine that was not Egyptian was over $1000. It was also awkward sitting and watching workers fight. The rooms are small and beds are uncomfortable. Cleaning ladies do well. The restaurant aside from the pools food is very regular quality if not poor. When we went to have lunch in the restaurant where breakfast takes place, there were flies everywhere and the tables were dusty. The only restaurant we truly enjoyed was ironically the Thai restaurant. The workers were all very professional and the food was good. There are shops are big bargainers as well. When asking for Dove Soap, a woman in the store said they do not sell it. We thanked her and went to purchase something else, but she insisted we allow her to buy it for us. She charged us 500 pounds rather than the actual 45 pound price.

Beautiful location Good pool area staff service , attentive, good pools. Good food options. Fresh foods. Unfortunately spoiled by poor notification of loud events/parties late night on 2 evenings (up to 2am) leading to request a room change on one of these nights as we had an early morning tour departure. Less than ideal like sleeping in a nightclub. Areas closed off for private events without notice. E.g. entire bar area closed off one evening with staff inflexible/ being ignored despite being a guest of the hotel. Another day - another private lunch event being told that option of dining inside at lunchtime in the air conditoned restaurant was not available and being told to order room service instead , if we wanted to eat inside. Foods need labelling - some not labelled at all.

View amazing

Great place to stay. Beautiful pool by the Nile River beach with overlook to the site for hot air balloons. We stayed just for one night (just to sleep, 1-7am 😂, so we didn’t benefit much). If it will be another opportunity to visit Luxor, I will pick the same hotel but definitely for more nights.

Staff were amazing ….great room and the location is stunning nestled on the bank of the river Nile.

We had overall a good experience in this hotel. We felt safe, staff was very helpful welcoming and accommodating; they upgraded our room for a small fee and gave us the option to pick something better. The hotel room has a bit of a dated feel but we appreciated the comfortable beds.

We stayed in a junior suite room which was nice and spacious although with no view and quite a small balcony. No free upgrades but we were offered a Nile suite at a reduced price though but we declined! The hotel is a bit dated but actually clean and comfortable with 3 dining options. We ate lunch at Olives on arrival and thought it was pretty hot as they didn’t have any ceiling fans. Then miraculously ceiling fans appeared which made the eating experience so much more comfortable!! Silk Road was our favourite restaurant though with a variety of Asian cuisines. The main pool was a nice size with plenty of sun beds and they do have a slightly smaller adults only pool in another section of the hotel, which also housed a decent gym room. We also had a nice Kings & Queen spa package involving mud, stream, sauna, massage and a bath all overlooking a view of the Nile! Unfortunately it did look like they were under staffed on one of the days so everything took longer than expected but the rest of our stay remained very pleasant being care for by the polite and tentative staff there. Overall it was a very pleasant stay!

Gorgeous property

This is a beautiful property and amazing convenience for how close it is to the East bank tourist sites. My only complaint is that all of the restaurants in the hotel (3 or 4 total) took FOREVER and were really understaffed. Not the end of the world because you're on vacation, but that's it. The pool is gorgeous and the view of the Nile is great.

The Hilton resort in Luxor, Egypt is so calm placid beautiful in multiple parts and is served by a large number of super lovely elegant intelligent professional people. The design of the hotel is superb, it leaves you open to experiencing the West Bank across and Egypt’s natural beauty. They picked a smart location to build the place. It’s an expensive resort affordable due to location. If you’re exhausted from travel or intensity of Cairo, it’s a great place to decompress, enjoy pools, spa, food, beauty and service. I stayed, as well, on the west side and highly recommend finding the right place to stay for you on the west side, as well. Major archaeological sites and points of interest are on the west side. You can take a ferry across daily, if you wish. It’s not hard by foot. Bridges are many miles south and north of Luxor, if you’re dealing with a vehicle. You’ll have to think that out. I would split my time on the east bank and then west, whatever number of days, depending on what you plan on seeing and for how long. The people, life, donkeys and roosters in the morning, horses and smell of food and fire, the sounds of it’s and nature and sight of green pastures are all better on the West Bank. It’s a bustling town on the east bank, it’s a quiet town/village on the West Bank. Still, the Hilton resort is the perfect place to decompress, give yourself a few spoonfuls of peaceful luxury when you’re staying on the east bank and in Luxor.

Its a 3 star by US and EU standards. It may be a 5 star by Egyptian standards. Its an alright place to stay with a convenient location and rooms that are alright. Nothing special

Excellent staff, very professional, the main problem with my review is the property, it look pretty in the pictures but all pictures for the rooms in Expedia are for the suites, another rooms are small with old furniture (tear) inside the rooms and in the halls out side the carpet is very old and smell, the river view (some rooms have balconies but 164-264-364 only have one window with river view and they charge the same price for both rooms) with balcony and widow it, the swimming pools are not clean the top one have a lot of mold in the walls and the floor is dirty (probably not brushed for long time). Besides the staff was excellent, very kind, respectful, and professional.

The pool was a joy along with the free spa amenities and the on-site felucca crew! Wonderful 5 star service!

Very nice and helpful staff but the hotel is in desperate need of remodeling, specially the rooms. Also the the vast majority of the Nile view rooms are NOT facing the Nile. The area around the hotel doesn’t feel very safe but I suppose that is typical of Egypt.

The rooms were clean and very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Luxor
