KL hotel stay
Views were amazing. Soundproofing awful. Showers and elevators both need work. Staff was amazing and always helpful. Close to many places to eat and transportation
Overall a great stay
Great stay for a budget Hilton chain, mattress is comfy and the room is clean. Funny thing is they only give a bottle of water per booking, way too tight for a hotel at this price range. I had 2 single bookings and needed to update my door card the next day, no ideal why can’t they just link it? Major improvement from customer service aspect as the queue at the reception is usually long.
Views from higher floors were superb.
Good
Value for money
This hotel is value for money. Good comfortable beds, clean room and excellent service. Stayed a few days back in a similar class hotel just 500m away from this hotel at almost double the rate. That is how comparatively cheap this hotel is.
Nice overall
nice stay
HILTON GARDEN INN SOUTH, KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA
I enjoyed my stay at Hilton Garden Inn South. FARHAD was super in keeping my room fresh and well supplied with coffee and creamer, fresh towels everyday, clean and fresh bed everyday. Thank you, FARHAD
Not like it
Room had a cigarette smell that I didn’t like but when I contacted front desk she sent housekeeping. Housekeeping said there’s a smell but not cigarettes. When I asked her what she smell she couldn’t tell me. When I requested another room the said I would get a lower floor while I paid for a high floor
I will highly recommend this hotel to visitors
Hotel room for 7 days with half-board. And yet I was charges 70 Ringgit when I arrived. At lunch I was xharged 10 Ringgit extra for a soda with my lunch. Hotel staff showed up at my room at 10 pm( I was sleeping) claiming that I asked to have the room sprayed. I made no such claim. The room did smell of smoke though. I don't smoke.
All good

Good
Dirty property in dire need of upkeep.
Terrible reception. At time of check-in only one person at the reception desk and a huge line up of people waiting to check-in. Poor coordination of staffing available to assist guests. Hotel rooms are spacious enough, but walls inside the room are dirty and scratched up. The hallways are in disgusting state. All the walls and doors are dirty, scratched and desperate need of cleaning and painting. The carpets sre dirty and stained and in need of replacement. Towel availability at the pool is not acceptable. Waited over an hour for someone to show up with towels. Dinner at the rooftop bar is ok, but staff need to be properly trained. I wanted to pay my bill part cash and part credit card as it was my last day in Malaysia and I wanted to get rid of cash. The wait staff said that it would not be possible to split the bill and that I would have to pay the full amount by credit card. Two wait staff said the same thing . It was not until I told them that was the most ridiculous thing and that I wanted to speak to a manager. The manager came over and said that I could split the payment in cash and credit card. Why the unnecessary stress when you are just trying to have a pleasant experience. It is a shame that the Hilton chain doesn't invest in upkeep and cleanliness of this property. I don't recommend staying here.
For the price, it was good.
For the price it is a good stay
Staff very good.
The staff was amazing with an incredible roof top pool playing great music, lots of tables and a great bar/restaurant. Amazing views. Probably wouldn't do the breakfast add on unless a real fan of Malay and Indian food options. Poor is he was not great.
The location is convenient apart from being noisy. Staff were very nice
Keep up the good job
Hilton is every time HILTON
Room is spacious.
Had a wonderful stay! Beautiful room view and rooftop views! Hot water wasn’t initially available for the shower but the staff promptly fixed the issue.
All good
Nice Property Great Service Excellent Staff Great Value for Money I came from AMERICA 🇺🇸 Ive travelled ALL Over the World 🌎 to 52 Countries .. Keeping All that in Mind It was Very Good 👍
The corridor had bad odor…disgusting smell like garbage at least on the 16th floor where my room at
Loved the AC and rooftop pool!
Old building and dirty
Terrible
the place was clean and very accesible to all and the view was phenomenal especiallly the rooftop pool will stay here again and recommend to friends.
Close to everything
7.5/10 It's not a top Hilton but it does the job.
Staff was nice to us. I really liked the two security guards who were nice and kind to us. Rooms were spacious and AC worked very well. Showers are in good condition. The walls had some marks (maybe scratches) and some stains, but that it wasn't as bad as other hotels I've stayed at in this country. The reception is quite small and has only 1 worker each time we checked-in and out. This created a little line up. This needs to be improved. Overall, it was a good hotel, but I was expecting more for a Hilton.
Staff very nice
The view was outstanding. I really loved the hotel. The breakfast has lots of options. It’s a shame there’s no restaurant in the hotel. The rooftop food menu options is very limited. The second time I ordered the seafood pasta. I was laughing every time I had a bite. The seafood was 3 shrimps with heads and tails and a little calamari ring. SO RIDICULOUS. The cleaning crew was very nice, sweet and accommodating. Specially my room cleaner Mithon, super nice and sweet, always with a smile and a great attitude.
Great service
Good basic hotel. Dont expect high end hotel but it is a good basic hotel, provides all necessary facilities, average breakfast at a very good price (45 USD a day). Loction is not clean but it is not unsafe. Monorail station (MRT) 6 minute walk (chow kit) and through it it is super easy to reach anywhere . North tower of Hilton garden inn is just next door and is slightly bigger and may be slightly better Excellent value for money
Staff is friendly throughout the stay and bery helpful. Much appreciated for their kind service.
Dont pay for breakfast
Room was a prison cell with no window or natural light. I consider expedia to be a part of this scam as if I was told I was booking a room with no view or fresh air I would not have continued with the booking. Enjoy the 250 Dollars you took from me you wont be seeing any more business from my side. Hilton should be ashamed to put their brand name on a property like this.
Stayed for 4 nights here. The hotel itself is very clean and customer service is excellent. The area however could get a little tricky. The open market next door is kind of smelly and dirty, after the meat market closed, large size of rats running around. Kind of expected but still gross to look at. Very close to see the Twin tower and river of life, however…saw bunch of dead fish in there…not if someone dumped them or the water kill them…Sogo market is close by as well, price are really good if you are not into the brand names. Over all, a very good stay with just the hotel itself.
It's a good and convenient place to stay
Good
Very good view from the 21 floor, good service, very quiet Hilton standard for very cheap price.
Will comeback next time
I guess it is true when they say you get what you pay for. The location was horrible. I paid for 2 nights..the room was not cleaned on the 2nd day.
Nice for a few days
Hotel was a typical Garden Inn . Staff nice enough , stayed for 5 nights and would stay again
Room smells
It was five minute walk to monorail and loved the roof top pool , overall I loved the hotel
Good
the staff were fantastic
Value for $
We thought the staff were great, courteous and helpful The shower spread water everywhere because the pressure was so high. An evening meal option would be nice.
Very nice
This was the second time I'd stayed at the Hilton Gardens and like last time I was very happy with my stay. When the air con stopped working, I was immediately moved to another room. I'd also like to recommend the Restaurant Santa (chapatti house) three hundred metres away from the hotel. Great food at a very reasonable price. The best chappatis.
Hotel wise. Lovely place really as based to explore KL. Good local restaurants around.
The queue during check in could be reduced with more staff or check in counters around peak times
👍
There was no door at shower room. Every where floating. 20th floor smelling very bad.
Awesome rooftop pool.
Excellent hotel
Excellent hotel. Nice clean rooms, great breakfast and close to Chow Kit Monorail station.
Great hotel
Firstly, picture this hotel as a wannabe Hilton. If you go thinking its going to be 4☆then you will be disappointed. There were only 5 hangers , no drawers or shelves for clothes. The bathroom shower was powerful, but since there were no shower doors, the floor after shower was completely soaked. The elevators(3) was slow, no gym , the self serve laundry was 18 rm , free detergent. I liked the 25th floor swimming pool and bar ,view above. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Just dont expect" Hilton " standards. Hope this helps.
Nice
Thank you
the king size bed
Outstanding quality and service at a great value🙏
hotel is very clean
Decent place for stay. Basin tap was spoilt, too loose. Lack toiletries. Hard to get taxi/grab at hotel entrance as there is no lobby since it’s at a road junction.
4 days in KL
Excellent room, view spectacular particularly at night. Breakfast food varied and plentiful but often cold in the warmers. Pool and top floor restaurant great great for chilling after a day out.
Loved staying here is his is my third stay in this hotel, location is fab, hotel is amazing. Rooms the three I used were awesome. 10 out of 10 so far.
The room was very sub-par. Limited parking even for travelers who drove in. The elevator was the worst took forever to go up and down. Definitely do not recommend at all. I stayed because it was somewhat close to the Embassy next time I would not mind staying somewhere else and travelling where I need to go. The area is very sketchy neiborhood.
The breakfast buffet has many options. The rooftop pool and area is beautiful and has a great view of the city. Safe and clean hotel.
It was a great experience
The staff is nice
Checked in and checked out within 10minutes. We had 3 rooms and none of then were clean. I had blood stained sheets in mine, hair on towel. Disgusting.
Good location, easy access to MRT. Great staff- very friendly and helpful. Great amenities for the price.
Great location, friendly staff, good breakfast.
Parking is very nuisance since we need to check in first but there are no place to temp park before check in. Room is not ready when we arrived. Lift is not fully operated. One lift is under maintainance but got a lot of people staying as it is duting school holiday. So need to wait for a very long time to use the lift. A very bad experience.
We traveled quite a lot and Hilton Garden Inn in Kuala Lumpur is one of the best at this price range. Easy access to public transportation. The monorail station is just a few minutes walk from the hotel. It connects you to Metro and commuter trains and main bus station, and takes you to popular attractions such as Twin Towers, and Batu Caves. Excellent breakfast. It has a lot of choices. Very friendly and helpful staff. Strongly recommended.
Great staff
Great staff
Good location, clean room and helpful staff . They need to fix the floor of the restaurant by Northwest side, table shakes when someone walking by.
Warning check if there is a window
The room did not have a window to the outside, this should be communicated in the advert. The staff noted the other rooms available mentioned a view but this deluxe room did not mention a view so this is why it only had a view to an internal wall so could not tell if it was night or day. It appears the policy is to let people book them tell them on arrival then ask them if wish to upgrade? Other hotels on hotels.cok notd no window or no view if there is none so this property should be same. There was also mold in the bathroom, breakfast was very good and pool was nice on roof.
Bkf can be better.
It is a nice place, very well located. The pool has an amazing view. The staff are super friendly.
Room without a view
First the good things - handy for catching GO KL free bus which stops nearby. Good rooftop restaurant and pool. Very useful coin operated laundrette on 6th floor. The only negative thing to report is that we were given a room without a view - that is it did have a window but no external view just an inside shaft. We could not even tell if it was sunny or raining. I expressed concern over the room with no view but the check in clerk explained very clearly that they have 3 classes of rooms _1) room the tower view, 2) room with city view and because my booking only says room with breakfast I have to have a room with no view. Travelling half way round the world I didn’t expect that!
Only view half of Twin Tower, blocked by the other building. The receptionist suggests staying the block beside Hilton Garden Inn South (Hilton Garden Inn also) just can view the whole Twin Tower.
The hotel is nice , carpets need a good cleaning but the rooms are ok , breakfast is very nice , pool is nice , overall nice hotel , just need bell hop
I loved the rooftop restaurant/bar and pool with an amazing view, the rooms are clean and new and well laid out. Buffet breakfast was good. Was a good feel anout the hotel and even though I was travelling alone I was able to feel welcome and enjoy the hotel atmosphere. The area around the hotel is a bit of a run down area but it is easy to get Grab taxis to get around or use the train. As the hotel itself is really good, I will go back there again!
The hotel is nice , the pool looked nice , the restaurant food was ok , not great but ok, the rooms are comfortable, there is no bell hop , or anyone to help with luggage, breakfast is very nice , overall a nice hotel the carpets need cleaning but other then that good stay.
Located in the worst neighborhood with many poverty and homeless people in the streets. I heard people saying there were many addicted people with drugs everywhere. Worst experience!
Dinner on the roof with swimming pool
Caution required
The hotel is fine, but that’s about it. I booked through hotels.com and paid extra for a deluxe twin room. When I checked in I was told that this was an internal room. There was no indication of this in my booking, in fact it said there would be a view. I thought that the room may overlook an internal atrium, but no it was like a prison. I explained to the front desk that this is was not acceptable and they need to sort out their descriptions on booking websites. It was eventually sorted out. The lift system in the hotel is terrible. It takes ages and doesn’t seem to be programmed properly. The views from the rooftop bar are amazing. But the environment is not what it looks like on booking websites. I can see why they are using drawn images rather than photographs. On the two evenings we were there, they had external functions/parties which meant all of the tables were booked on both evenings in the rooftop bar with people who are not staying at the hotel. This meant we were unable to eat or sit down at a table to enjoy a drink. The only space available was a high table Which was reserved for smokers. You really wouldn’t expect that you could not eat at the main rooftop restaurant/bar when is staying at a hotel. The surrounding area is not great, it is colourful, but I would not stay if you are a single person. Overall, I would’ve expected more as there is so much choice in Kuala Lumpur, I was left disappointed that I did not choose another hotel.
If you are staying in the South Tower be careful that you do not enter the car park for the North Tower. This being the only carpark that is marked. However the South Tower car park is accessed courtesy of a security guard via what looks like a garage door (it is the door to a car lift). If you enter the North Tower car park there is no lift on the lower floors. Good luck with lugging your baggage up the stairs.
The property is well organized. Lovely roof pool. Stunning room views. Some reception personnel great, some out of place.
Not worth to stay here
I'm disappointed to stay in this hotel. First, there's no free parking for hotel guest, you need to park under third party basement parking lot and pay RM10 per entry but always full parking no available lot for you. Then, the guard informed to park at hotel back alley, environment narrow, dirty, dark, smelly, noisy. Secondly, there's no simple tooth brush provided, no hand shower head. The room small size like budget hotel, speed of internet also slow. However, the hotel staff hotel quiet friendly when check in/out. The room was clean, nice view from high floor. Overall, the room over price and not worth to stay here. You can get plenty of better choices hotel where nearby this area.
Worth the price
Overall good room was a bit small but i was alone, shower throws water in the mail toilet, designer overlooked this aspect, but generally room was comfortable despite being small, reception was courtious but they approved my late checkout but on final day it was disapproved due to rush, average location but cheap shopping around!
